We are still in the 5th world even but it is because of the zoo called Nigeria. We will break free soon and be the dubia of Africa. Then when white people talk about Africa, the will mean Biafra. Our tribe is the superior all over the world. Research and see for yourself. WE ARE THE HEBREWS
If you are superior then why put yourself under hebrews as if they are superior? How many of these businesses listed are in Igboland compared to the other Yoruba thread where more than half the businesses are in Yorubaland?

Human sacrifice and co (I don't know any group that viewed cannibalism as okay) are not really African traditions, but beliefs for personal gain.

Were u looking for literal translation after almost 2000 years apart?

The point here is that they use the name Ada in the same way the Igbo of Nigeria use it.

Ada is abrrievation of Adanma or Adanna OR Adah.

This indicates that the name have several meaning and usage.

Adanma means 'beautiful first daughter' Adanna means daddy first daughter.

The Hebrew tradition denotes that the name Adah means beautiful ornament or Adornment.

Traditionally the hebrew use the name Ada to reference first daughter like the biblical Adam reference first man. It is a girls name.
Ada is not an abbreviation of anything, it means first daughter, please don't twist Igbo traditions to suit this fantasy. Adah in the Jewish community means adornment, that has nothing to do with being a first daughter, Adah is not even pronounced like Ada, it's pronunced like 'A' da.

Igbos have something in their blood from biblical times, naturally, even people that are half white turn black if they keep making babies with black people.

Skin colour is not really a factor here, migration to Igbo land from the City of David was over a thousand years ago. U settled and intermarried primarily with the bantu of Cross River and Akwa Ibom.

Not everybody from Isreal fled to Africa, many went in the direction of Europe, some india(Asia), how do u expect them to look after over 1000 years.

They only returned to Isreal after the second world war in 1945, before that they were stateless.
So you believe you are a descendant of white men. What a sad joke.

The Hebrew words are wrong or not the right translations. There's no such thing as Chi in Hebrew so why would somebody lie and say "Chema" is God knows in Hebrew, Chima isn't even God knows in Igbo.

By the way, is there a word like oko relating to males in Itsekiri? I know oko is husband in Yoruba, in Igbo, however, oko means male which is the root of okoro, man is also nwoko in some dialects (nwa (child) + oko (male))

At the bold part, especially "Okorodudu", in Yoruba, it is going to "okurin dudu". Which means there are or there may be some assumed similarity between these languages.
But, obviously, okoro is more similar to okoro than okurin.

omohayek:
No, the resemblance isn't because of interchange, but because Yoruba and Igbo (and Edo, and Igala) all used to be one language, thousands of years ago; the languages therefore share hundreds of cognate terms like "okunrin"/"okoro", "eti/nti", "omi/mmiri", "oritsa/orisha/olise", etc.

The reason why this is more apparent with Ijebu/Ondo/Ilaje/Itsekiri dialects isn't because of their closer proximity to Igboland, but because "standard" Oyo Yoruba (and related varieties such as Egba) have linguistic innovations that haven't invaded central (Ife) and south-east (Ijebu/Ondo) varieties, which have held onto the ancestral forms of many terms ( eg. "ugbo" instead of "igbo" ). Many of the same conserved terms can also be observed in slightly different forms in Igala, which is the closest language to Yoruba outside of dialects like Itsekiri - so close, in fact, that it should take very little effort for a Yoruba speaker to quickly gain a working understanding of Igala.
There's that as well which I posted with the Yoruba and Igbo words for twenty, ogun ọgụ, although I do think some of the words would have come about later through interchange.

Okoro is not just an Ibo word alone
i have friends named.

1. Okoro Chibuzor from Abia
2. Okoro Tosan (Itsekiri)
3. Okoro Onoriode
4. Okorodas (Bayelsa)

Itsekiri bear names like Okorodudu, Okorotie(Okotie) etc
Okoro means man or male in both Igbo and Itsekiri, meaning there's similarity not just in the sound of the word, but also meaning. Okorodudu is a counterpart to Okoroji, dark Okoro. What does Okorotie mean?

Etin (ear) is Eti in Yoruba
Afere (wind) Afefe (wind) Yoruba
Interesting, that means the particular kind of Yoruba is also similar to Igbo. The 'okoro' in Itsekiri suggests there's some interchange with Igbo, even if it's a little. It'd be good to see an Itsekiri dictionary to see even more similarities between the languages.

I laugh at some of these people saying we are not Yorubas. I know where my own people migrated from. So you can keep your politics to yourselves. Even most of the Itshekiris that claim Bini origin are actually from Ondo state. And people should stop confusing ORIGIN with INFLUENCE. Just because we have a lot of Bini influence does not mean our origin is Bini. Our situation is similar to the Ikas of Anioma who actually originate from Bini but heavily Igbo-influenced. That is why when Sunday Oliseh said he is not Igbo, he was not been disrespectful of them. He was only telling the truth. Imagine all those millions of Igbos living in the SW today. Maybe 300 years from now we know say because they are influenced by the SW culture they are now Yorubas even though they originate from the SE. It does not make sense. And it is shocking, that some of our people are making this elementary mistake. As for me and my house - we know our origin.
Ika people are not from Benin, even the Ika people who deny being Igbo for the most part do not claim to be from Benin. The Obi of Owa traces their lineage to Nri.

Not meaning to add to derailment, but people are taking the language classification 'Yoruboid' too literally, Yoruboid meant that the languages, Igala, Itsekiri, Yoruba, shared a closer common ancestor, Igala is now generally classed with Nupe and Idoma.

To give you an example of how superficial the language classification can be, the Igala are actually intimately linked with the Igbo, there are border town where Igala speak fluent Igbo, and vice versa, intermarriages have also been happening for centuries as well as migrations, especially of Igbo blacksmith from Awka.

True, also Itsekiri were big traders, so languages of trading communities usually have lots of influence or influence others more.
