grandstar:
Google and Android will regret this. Huawei can't go bankrupt as China won't allow it.

Also, it will simply encourage the Chinese to build their own operating system and would dent Androids dominance.

I expect a third major operating system. It will be Android, IOS and Chinese
The new OS may boom in China but it would never see global dominance like the likes of weChat and Co... Zero Global Appeal

Of course. He would fall foul of antitrust laws.

For instance, rather than be an importer of commodities like sugar, he'd be a massive commodity exporter in the States, perhaps based in New York City.

My friend was also a Almajiri. He's father is Kanuri and the mum Shuwa. He's from Bornu state.

He craved Western education and this angered his parents who ensured he became an Almajiri instead.

That was years ago. He's now a father of 2 boys but separated from his wife.

He's also no longer a Muslim and he now believes in Jehovah. His son Abdullahi attends the Kingdom Hall and even answers questions. I just wish he was more committed

I'd like to send you a PM , as regards religious reasons?

You said from experience and speak with so much confidence. I wouldn't have responded that way if not how you sounded. Why telling him to travel, are you in his pocket? Do you know why he didn't travel with the B1/B2 Visa? You sounded negative in the your opinion (because you said his F1 is likely to be refused) that's why i responded that way.
He is quite right, getting a B1/B2, and using it for no reason raises some red flags, especially as to whether you could even afford to go in the first place, or you were playing lottery with the whole process. But, if he has a good reason, then good luck to him.

Most first class graduates are focused on the theoretical. So, it is normal for deductions to be made based on the majority.

People should learn to live a life that they will not be ashamed of in the future.

This stereotype of ' everyone has a bad past' is an unfortunate assumption that is aimed at justifying some of our weaknesses and make most people go deep into avoidable errors.

Determine you will live a pure life and you will not have dirty heavy baggage in life.
This is gold, some people just go about assuming that everybody has a wrecked life with enough baggage to fill an airport, some of us have lived very simple and plain lives

Hey guys. A friend of mine that we are going together for our interview next week is worried about an issue.
When her admission was given and she was asked to send bank statement for I-20. She had the required amount but now, the amount in the account is less than the amount on her I-20 but she said it's a busy account and the inflow of cash is consistent
Can she be refused because of this?
The thing is that the embassy can only call your bank to ascertain if what was given to them was valid at the date it was issued; they have no right to request for bank statements, as it's a fiduciary relationship which can only be circumvented with a valid court order. So your friend is safe at least, in this context.

Lol...that’s harsh though but thanks a lot
I'm deeply sorry, if it hurts, but sadly, it's the truth. B1/B2 denial less than 2 months, and now you're going for a cheap under the table flight course, which really has no prospects in Nigeria, as it doesn't put you on the path to become a commercially licensed pilot, your story will raise too many red flags. Give it some time, and plan things out, if you must jakpa, do it in a smooth manner. Again,I'm sorry for being harsh, but chelsea fans have taken over walter carrington, Blue has become the new color code.

Religion / God Is Dead: A Misunderstood phrase by EZEIGBO1OFIMO: 11:40am On Dec 08, 2018
It is not unusual for Christians to point to the demise of Nietzsche due to his infamous "God is dead" sentence as a cautionary tale to atheist. But this quote as attributed to Nietzsche is one of the most misunderstood, and misappropriated sentences today (even leading to a God is Not dead movie).
To fully understand Nietzsche, we need to see the full passage from which the sentence was extracted stated below

The madman jumped into their midst and pierced them with his eyes. "Whither is God?" he cried; "I will tell you. We have killed him -- you and I. All of us are his murderers. But how did we do this? How could we drink up the sea? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the entire horizon? What were we doing when we unchained this earth from its sun? Whither is it moving now? Whither are we moving? Away from all suns? Are we not plunging continually? Backward, sideward, forward, in all directions? Is there still any up or down? Are we not straying, as through an infinite nothing? Do we not feel the breath of empty space? Has it not become colder? Is not night continually closing in on us? Do we not need to light lanterns in the morning? Do we hear nothing as yet of the noise of the gravediggers who are burying God? Do we smell nothing as yet of the divine decomposition? Gods, too, decompose. God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. ...

"How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it? There has never been a greater deed; and whoever is born after us -- for the sake of this deed he will belong to a higher history than all history hitherto."

As is very evident, the passage is a fictional anecdote, which definitely doesn't point to the death of an omnipotent christian being, instead it vividly describes the death of christian values which was sweeping through Europe at the end of the nineteenth century; the unholy marriage of the church and the state; and the bitter mix of nationalism. Europe could no longer claim their christian heritage, for in their actions, they had destroyed their godly values, and inherently killed god, and this left them with a void. Somehow, this also aptly describes Nigeria, and Nigerians, we claim to worship God, but in fact God is also dead here, because we have murdered him with our own hands.

Nietzsche ends the passage with this
It has been related further that on the same day the madman forced his way into several churches and there struck up his requiem aeternam deo. Led out and called to account, he is said always to have replied nothing but: "What after all are these churches now if they are not the tombs and sepulchers of God?"
with 100 thousand seater churches and poverty capital gold medalist of the world alongside corruption champions, the Nigerian God's rests in peace also in our monumental chapels.

I think its high time the US embassy stopped requiring folks to go for physical interviews. they should revert to some points based system like the Canadians; submit all your documents, they process and vet them, and get back to you pronto!. All the circus show that goes on at Walter carrington is dehumanizing biko.

You see them dissecting transcript like they are dinning with the VOs. The school fee of that guy is just 48k. I don't know where the 63k comes from. Desist from all this nonsense and focus on your own. You can't lead someone to success if you have not had a good experience in that field or situation.
Just $48K!!!!!!.. You do realize that that's almost the median yearly income of the average american family after tax. and you expect the citizen of a country with 70% below poverty line to splash that in one sitting. Yes, he may not dine with the VO, but these things are simple common sense, these consular officers receive constant briefing, trainings, and guide manuals; and trust me it's hard to believe that in a country where the average middle class folk is one hospital bill away from poverty has 12 million Naira stashed somewhere for an MSc. From a 3rd tier university.
.
There's a high rate of Nigerians consistently transferring their i-20's to community colleges once they arrive the USA, and the Department of Homeland security has been taking note.
