Who else would change the content of an article to suit his interest?

Who else would sell ordinary chalk as Paracetamol if not Igbos

Who else would sell fake spare parts as original if not Igbos

WHy do you think the term Aba-made became synonymous with counterfeit goods?

Who else would call a man who fled warfront a brave warrior if not Igbos.

They are the scums of the earth

What does Yiboland contribute to Nigeria except erosion, 419- Anajemba, Ritualist-Otokoto, Cannibals- Clifford orji, Drug pushers and Boy-boys- Azikwe, Ekwueme, Soludo etc
You forgot to include some guy called Sam Okwaraji. Now start again

@bittyend,
LOL. Some of you tribalistic champions always seem to have short memory. So when you want to divide Biafrans, you will tell us how Aniomas or Ikwerres are not Igbo and how they will not be part Biafra according you. But with this thread, just for your convenience, they are Igbos today because Asaba to you do not deserve being capital, even when you are not even from the damn place to begin with, and that your theory is to support your new found love for the the socalled Itshekiri and Ijale. Whenever a lion is speaking up for the Zebra population, we know the real intention behinds it.
And don't we knew what the sudden love our Yoruba brothers is suddenly developing for Itshekiri? Just in case, another unholy marriage after Nigeria. I can't speak for Itshekiri people, but I am sure they cannot be fooled by a new found brother called the Yoruba. Is it a crime for Yorub to be on its own as a nation without finding a long lost cousin or nephew?
When the time come, itshekiri can be on its own if it so wishes, afterall Andorra in Europe is only couple of hundred thousand people but still a full fledge nation. Only in African you are told that you should be bigger than China to qualify as a free nation.
And all this rubbish talks about who contribute this and that, can't it be solved in just one stroke? Let everyone go back to pre 1914, so whatever everyone thinks he is bring into the Nigerian purse now, you can keep. No more anyone calling another person a parasite. So if you feel insulted being called a parasite, lazy etc, why develop fever anytime you hear the word seccession, self determonation, resources control or even Biafra?

Just like your viper leaders, an average Nigerian is bloody hypocrite and double faced animals.

patriot2: Wow, I wonder why the yorubas helped ibos to settle in Lagos during the civil war, why didn't we just give them out to the haussa. And why are we selling land in Lagos to ibos, we should rather push them out.
The next time haussa want to kill ibos, let us even propose they start with the ones in Lagos. We love them and consider them our brothers while they are planning our deaths and are cursing us!
So now haussa if you want to continue your favorite sport of killing igbos then feel free to go on, we will not oppose it,good luck.
Someof you just talks rubbish!
How did YORUBA helped Igbo settled in Lagos that is the capital of Nigeria as if it was for them to do so? Yoruba sold land to the Igbos, not because they so much care or love them, but because the Igboman got the cash and Yoruba needs the cash(for expensive bling/lace and their closed down street parties).
That is why, once they sell one land, be sure they will come back in 6 months offering you another piece of land to sell desperately with a reduced price (because cash from the first sale is gone already).

My family bought one piece of land from one of them in 1976 in Idumota and by 1980 they had not only sold 4 more land to us but also had offered/sold their 1940s bunglow they lived to us too for cash. We pulled the bungalow down and built a 16 flat 4 story building on it and give the family a flat to live rent free for 10 years after which they had to pack out.

My understanding of some who claimed to be Yorubas on this forum, I think knew very little about Lagos. Most of them are from Yoruba villages of Ekiti etc, their only visit to Lagos probably their way to the MMA to catch plane for the first time with their Oluwole visa to a life of credit crime in Peckham/Thamesmead in London.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Freedom March Set For 16 March by Eziachi: 3:19pm On Mar 12, 2012
Dear Yoruba brothers and sisters, when will you swallow your pride and support a noble cause for once in your lives. YOU MADE A MISTAKE BY SUPPORTING THE NORTH to fight Biafans when you should have gone for your own freedom too, but no, but forty something years later, you wanted your dream of Odua through the back door of SNC which always comes to the forefront whenever you are not in power.
All it takes is for you to tell you brothers in the East, that this time around, we are in, instead you kept proving Junaid Mohammed right, when he said that you people always speaks in CODES hiding behing SNC.

Its time to stop CODED speaking, because one minutes, you wants one Nigeria, the next you are dreaming of a fallacy called southern Nigerian republic, the next you wanted ODUA REPUBLIC, some busy designing her flag and coat of arms. Leave us Biafrans alone to die in our misadventure and think of how to come out of coded message world you had PITCHED yourself. Even the North has sussed you out too.

And question once again is: What does the Yorubas want? Odua or Nigeria? It s very clear what the East, the old Mid West and now the North has taken a stand, so where does the old West stands, please tell the world and stop speaking in CODES or jumping anytime Biafra word is sneezed, when the north a busy perfecting how they will take the whole Kwara with them, when push comes to shove.

Please forget the 60s tactics, the days of playing flowing river game is well and truely over. That I mean, the day of playing double agent and then just like a river flow wherever the best channel best leads is no longer viable.
PoliticsRe: For Ojukwu, I Wished I Were Born Igbo – By Femi Fani-kayode by Eziachi: 8:00pm On Mar 09, 2012
lagcity:
Spot on, Igbos hate Awo more than they hate Gowon. Highly Illogical.
So you hate Mango just because the producer hates orange that grow in your land?
That is the most senseless thing I've heard so far on why most Yorubas hated Ojukwu.
I had always been pragmatic about Chief Awolowo and Igbos during and after the civil war. I admire Chief Awolowo for his quick understanding of what Nigeria is really is- a cosmetic country of many repelling people forced to leave together by the British empire's governance convenience.

Whatever he did irrespective of how it affected others outside Yoruba land, especially the Igbos, he did it for the love of his people. That is a fact. Its like a kite, that took the chicks from the chicken because he wanted to feed his own.
If you ask most Igbo men why theymay have disliked Chief Awolowo during and after the war? They will tell you these.
1. He took advantage of two young and naive persons with confusing messages (Gowon/Ojukwu)  by prouncing that if the East go, there will be no basis for one Nigeria and Odua will follow suite and when that happened, he turned 360 degrees and joined northerners that threw him into prison. to declare wr on the east, his fellow southerners. He, with others like Enahoro, Edwin Clarke, Saro Wiwa pressed on naive Gowon to reject  the Aburi that guaranteed everybody independence, something he fought for against Akintola in the West earlier.

2. He openly advocated the use of starvation against Biafran CIVILIANS as war weapon, something unheard of, in the modern history conflicts and wars, which led to the death of millions of children and the elderly.

3. As the minister of finance he sanctioned the confiscation of all Biafran people assets in the banks, same thing the NAZIS DID TO THE JEWS and to give all 20 Nigeriian pounds irrespective of how much you had in the bank and this compounded the already blighted situation and my own family lost many generation of accumulated wealth for just 20 Nigerian pounds.

4. As minister of finance and commerce he placed a ban on a well known Igbo delicacy stockfish importation. Something that could help in the starvation recovery due to its high protein content. Also placed a ban on second hand clothing, a known Igbo trading item and something that could be affordable and helpful to people that has lost everything in the war materially.

5. He carried out the indeginization policy of companies including companies like UAC which its majority shares was  earlier held by the Ojukwu family and it ended up with people like Christopher Kolade. AND THIS POLICY WAS THE REASON COMAPNIES ; Llike PZ, Leventis, ITT, Coastain, Hoest, Kingsway etc ended up with Yoruba  establishments, as the north were only interetsed in the political power and Igbos penniless.

Like I said, this reasons above is why most Igbo dislike Chief Awolowo during and after the war, and like I said earlier too, he did what he had to do to benefit his people in a dog eat dog place called One Nigeria.  AND JUST LIKE OTHER HAD SAID, I WANT YORUBAS  IN NL THAT CLAIM TO HATE OJUKWU even in death TO TELL US WHAT Ojukwu did that hurt you so much to hate him if not tribalism?

In 1970 just like the Nazis, your fathers stole our wealth/sweat and gave us N2O (Nig Pounds) to go and possibly die (they wished) but two years later they are begging us to come and buy their lands and old dilapidated properties for cash. This people has no shame

I got news for you hate bigots, before Forbes was even born, there exist Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu and Anyiam Osigwe.  Their wealth was genuine, not from overnight govt contract riches, not from oil bloc that is not from their land. Did Adenuga, Dangote etc has rich fathers, so what is their begining? Which bank did they borrow their startup capital from?  Which year and how much DID THEY BORROW?
Or did they work their way up as employees of a firm, and how much is theIR pay annually?  And how long did it take them to save up a capital? Ask any genuine rich person, from Brandson to Gate the source of their wealth, they will tell their begining, from their first penny, not from our socalled forbe Nigerians.

We may happily not be in your Forbe  list but we must be on top out there as the group with the largest middle class in the entire third world. Where schools, hospitals, roads, water are provided for many years without govt imput including ur self built Sam Mbakwe airport. You may be happy your unexplained billionaires with forbes, but Biafrans are equally happy with their millions of thousanaires. We rather have a million millionaires than a single billionaire whose wealths, Fela Kuti once termed international theif=theif, of whch no one knew where it came from.

May be by forced conscription, I remembered my male teenage cousins being forced to join ooh!

It may have been different if women wanted to join.
You are spot on, it was definitely different for women. In the begining it was by choice but at the thick of things it wasn't completely, so you're also right about cases of forced consriptions and then again, it depends on the conscriptor in each  PARTICULAR case, just like most things in life.
For example, my mother has 6 brothers and the first 5 boys were all conscripted, so when they came for the last boy who was just two years older than me and the conscriptor was told about his 5 older brothers, they left him alone and signed a paper against any future conscriptions attempt.
And of the five BOYS,  only two came back alive.
But one thing for sure was that at a particular period it was safer being a soldier inside Biafra actually, than being a civilian.
Because Nigerian Eqyptian MERCENARY pilots where shelling just civilian targets like schools, hospital or markets and that is how 13 members of my immediate family died in one single attack.

Eziachi,
Did you personally witness any young teenage girls serving in the Biafran forces?

I never ever saw any women talk less of girls
Yes in my unit based in Ogoja, there were at least ten girls serving as combat soldiers, who I believed are Efiks,  but I can't say they are teens, but probably in their early 20s.
Our food, when we do have them, were delivered by the army Trucks, often driven by a particular fat lady in full Biafran uniform  and we nicknamed her madam R&B (RICE/BEANS)grin grin grin as that is the only thing on the menu all the time and occassional GARRI GABON porridge.  Accompanying her are soldiers and girls in the same age bracket described by Dr Iwuala.
What she said wasn't uncommon at all at the time. My sister/cousins cooked too, but not for the soldiers but for CARITAS feeding the displaced at Arondizuogu camp.

My brother Dede1

I always respect the opinions of some of you that are older than myself, and may have experienced the civil war. So, I take your opinions very seriously.
However, I am also a very talented strategic thinker.  cool

I believe that is it not possible to understand the positon of our non-Igbo neighbors, until one has fitted into their shoes in the lead up to the civil war.
Also, I believe it is a grave mistake to judge most of them by the circumstances of 1967, because a WHOLE LOT has happened between then and now.
Let me leave that for now and focus on more salient points.

Personally, I believe that Eastern Nigeria +Anioma is ONE. Take a close look at Nigeria's history, not just during the civil war, but BEFORE, AND YEARS after the civil war.
Each time I look at it, I marvel at how we (both Igbo and non-Igbo) Easterners fell so easily to cheap blackmail and divide and conquer tactics.
I look at PH and Calabar for instance, and conclude that there is no reason on earth why these two cities could not have rivalled or even surpassed Lagos in greatness today, had our past leaders been more strategic in thinking.

For me, one of the biggest mistake of the Biafran war effort was that it never seriously carried the non-Igbo along.
We were unlucky not to have such leaders, but then, who is perfect on this earth.
A perfect strategy would have been to allow the whole Biafran secession effort to be led by non-Igbo almost completely (win or lose), with us prividing the needed numbers when necesssary.
The North did it successfully  by foisting Gowon. Why couldn't we do the same?
Why is the North still one today, while our region was balkanized into SE and SS?
We have to start using our God given brains.
Extraordinary situation always calls for extraordinary strategies.

I would not mind a Dokubo or any seriously minded Ijaw or Ibibio leading MASSOB for instance. Igbo "smart folks" can be his advisers and guide in that effort.
The end result is the only thing that matters.

This is where I differ from some of my brothers.
I often say here that if someone like myself was in the Biafran war planning team, THERE IS NO WAY WE WOULD LOSE THAT WAR.
I'm serious.

So, I reject the idea that our neighbors cannot be an priceless asset to the emancipation effort.
On the ntrary I even think that our dream will remain a dream if we fail to carry them along. cool

Here I stand! cool cool cool

I read your piece with great interest and you made so much sense and I salute you for that. But on the bolded and on the points I had made before about our neighbours, I stand by them. Because someone is your neighbour doesn't mean that you have to go into a marriage relationship with them.
So I rather stay with you as a good peaceful neighbour than a burning house as husband and wife with you. Remember what they said, over familiarity brings contempt.
Every good relationship doesn't have to end in a marriage and that is a big lesson the marriage called Nigeria has taught me.
Take it from me, any nation union that will involve Igbos with Ijaw or Yorubas is doomed. It will be from frying pan to fire, escaping the present Nigeria and ended up creating a new mini Old Nigeria is never part of the aspiration,

As for the dream of inheriting another man's sweat in the name of abandoned property- Forget it, this is 2012 because with dynamite, he will turn it into abandoned waste land first before he leaves.

Well maybe you should have told your blood thirsty Nwobosi, Ifeajuna, Okafor, Anuforo and Nzeogwu why they needed to kill innocent coivilians in their bedroom while sparing their uncles. That single word or advice might have saved the lives of 3million Ibos
Sorry I didn't ask those men you mentioned, probably because I knew then from Adam to Eve. If that is the case as a Yorubaman what did tell your own uncles- Gen Diya and Disa WHEN THEY TRIED TO KILL ABACHA? Over to you.
Nna you dont expect me after being away from Nigeria for almost 15 years to still be running that village package.

The last time I tried visiting, thats when the kidnapping thing reached an all time high so i stayed clear.
My son if you have been away for just mare 15 years, some of us had been away close to half a century. LOL. But we still go home, pay up for comunity development, help the most poor through sponsorship schemes. I knew that you were those told by their father that they are Igbo just because Dad was an Igboman. I can assure you that you are owing your community thousands now in levy, so you better stay away as not only kidnappers will be looking for you any time you ventured around.

Being away is not an excuse, that is, if you are not just Igbo wannabe on NL as many had done in the past. MY OWN SON WITH A SCOTTISH MOTHER WAS BORN AND RAISED in England but once he reached the age of twenty, he was initiated into the community age group, pay his community development levies annually, visits as much as he could now with his wife and children.
The same for my daughter. Eventhough adopted by me and my wife from Ethiopia when she was just 6 months old, is an Igbo lady as you can get and along with her brother both fairly speaks Igbo eventhough they have never spend more than holiday period in Biafraland before. SHAME ON YOU!

Unegbe is human with blood what a cheap cop out.

Kill a security man at Walmart and kill the President of the US and later come to tell us they are both human with blood.

Easterner held a referendum, Are you asking me? When the killers were relaxing in the House of the eastern premier with their blood soaked garment, When ironsi was dilly dallying about the necesary punishment to those killers yet you want us to believe this wasnt a well thought out move by the Eastern leaders especially when the Eastern premier was comfortably welcoming guest and Azikwe was conviniently "out of the country".

Regarding the bolded reference to my family, I would let it pass just this once because I respect your age but the next reference I would respond in kind.

People on this forum know I dont take prisoners

Yes we all know the jerk, Everyone hates Ibos, Hausas hate ibos, Calabar hate Ibos, Yorubas hate ibos, middle belt hate Ibos

Everyone hates Ibos

What form of inferiority complex could be worse than that
I seems to have different mindset of life with you because I believe in the equality and santity of human life just as our creator had it and that is what democracy is all about. The family of the Warmart secury guy may disagree with you that their bread winner worth less that the president.

That Okpara was hosting the coup plotter, was to me another new one that I had  never heard till now, but  won't know because me and my family wasn't there as you were. Maybe you can tell us what food and drink they were enjoying as they celebrate the death on non Igbo politicians.

What difference will it make in my life/family then if Azikiwe, Okpara or any damn Igbo politician was killed? What has it got to do with me as person then? That  is why I don't understand some of you guys mindset
