Chasaq237:Get over yourself. And stop using God's name in vain. If God was behind Jonathan, why did he lose? God has more important things to concern him than human corrupt government of Nigeria. |
ARKdiscloser7:Nigeria doesn't revolve around GEJ's personal ambition. Move on and have your own person dreams, GEJ has already had more than he dreamt of. |
IbokUtoroh:Popular to fellow corrupt minded people. Lawrence Anini, Monday Osunmbor and Oyelusi were all once popular too. |
CharlesPhc:PMB is not prosecuting Saraki, rather the CCB is and no one is saying that Saraki is guilty until such a time he is tried in the CCT. And what crime did Amaechi commit? As non of the authorities has told us for 8 years he was governor? until then let be concerned with the ones charged. One day Amaechi will get his day, just as Saraki after 8 years, he never knew that his day will come. What about others is not a defence. Saraki's case shows the failure of the CCB. How come it took them 8 years to detect an offence, a crime or fraud? His trial after 8 years is the failure of PDP especially the Jonathan's last six years as their body language made all the anti corruption agencies dormant or dead. But Buhari has given them a new lease of life to go and do their job without fear and he will not intervene in-behalf of anybody. That gave them the courage within six month to charge Saraki, something they not do in 8 years. Assuming that they successfully get a conviction (assuming he is guilty) you will see as the flood gate opens, as that will emboldened all the anti crime agencies to take anyone, if they can successfully take down the number 3 man for being corrupt. Thats why corrupt people and their mindless corruption don't want to see that happen. I wonder how long they would have to wait to also verify the out gone governors asset declaration details to know who erred and who didn't...!!!Justice delayed is better than no justice. It doesn't matter how long it takes. As long as it happened and done correctly. When you commit a criminal act, justice demand that you will be looking behind your back until the day you dies, that is the essence of justice. No peace for the wicked, but many of you are advocating some peace for the wicked. |
Unfortunately for them, they may not be able to resort to cash and carry judicial process like Saraki |
How can he be a black man when he is pure Jewish? Who care about the colour of his skin anyway? |
How can anyone blackmail Fayose of all person, when he is doing the job himself pretty well? ![]() |
friends4ever:Really? Real Americans may chose to differ, especially those unarmed citizens shot down each day by the police. |
Atmmachine:America you now live and loved was not built through innuendo and conspiracy theory. They made it happen. Every nation leadership do not come by accident but through the actions of the people. Hence every nation deserved the leadership they get. Giving up is not an option. For example, where did you get the fact that the president wasted time in declaring his asset and what was the stipulated time? What evidence have you that he declared a false asset? Can you publish what you regarded as his real? In America, there are those that still of the believe that Obama is a moslem or that he was born in Kenya including the one that wants to be president (Trump). He showed them his birth certificate and they said it was fake as if they were the one to issued the real one to know. So you are not alone. |
chukwudi44:Agbakoba is not a constitutional lawyer but that not the issue at the moment. You don't need a degree in law to even know how the law works. Quoting sections of the constitution or case law is what a lawyer is paid to do for his client, whether what he is quoting has any merit to underpin the fact of the matter is another thing. Why do you think cases are lost after quoting the constitution a-z? I have always lived in a democracy, I understood the concept of law and rule of law. |
Shine1177:This is not about Buhari. Buhari can only defend his own integrity. The ball is now in Saraki's court to make some of those Nigerians to stop believing that Buhari is the only clean one. |
chukwudi44:No thats not what he did. Instead of going to the CCT he went straight to another court of equal status asking for an injunction to stop him being tried. Its only if the CCT ruled against him, that he should proceed to the Court of Appeal (Not the High Court). That is why the judge of the high court was smart enough to rule that he should appear to tell him and explain why he thinks that CCT is illegally constituted? Rather than telling him outrightly that High Court hasn't got such a jurisdiction. Why do you think he rushed to the Court of appeal even before his applications in the High Court is ruled upon? Because they are now second guessing even the High Court, in the event of not getting what he wanted, probably buying more time. Its so simple and clear, what Saraki and his representatives are doing. But they should not be allowed to make a mockery of the judiciary or the justice system. I believed that its high time the CJN should come out and make pronoucement to clear up things, especially this new trend of using crooked injunctions to police questioning or stopping a trial or arrest of an individual. |
SeverusSnape:Sorry, supporting corrupt men and women is now a religion in Nigeria. So you do, do religious stuff actually without even knowing it. |
gbaskipro:Sorry, am nobody as you had rightly guessed, just a victim of authority stealing like you. And again, am too old to follow your lifestyle of sucking whatever that you loved sucking and far worst is that my mama died so many years ago even before you were born. So Mr Big Boy, even if I am dying to, there is nothing to suck. |
chukwudi44:What a surprise!! Vultures of like minds. |
Is it APC or someone by the name Timi Frank? Misleading headline. |
Obynolee:Good point you made in your first line of thought. But he should turn to court and not using another branch of the judiciary to stop himself turning up in court. At most, there is the Appeal Court if the judgment is not in his favour. If he has issues with the court's jurisdiction or eligibility, it's the norm to go to the same court and argue the eligibility issues, not using another court of equal standing to start hawking or doing cash and carry injunctions to undermine judicial process. And he is supposed to be the chief law maker? Making law for whom exactly? Those mortals that cannot afford injunction? Injunction are not created to stop court proceedings or the law enforcement agencies from investgations but meant to maintain a status quo between parties, especially in a civil case and not criminal cases, until such a time a court or an investigation reached its conclusion. But suddenly Nigerians has created their own legal theory due to corruption that if you have money now, you can stop being asked questions for anything or you cannot be charged for anything because you had an injunction. That's unheard of anywhere in a democracy. Are you guys for real? |
SeverusSnape:Good deeds has no religion. You don't ask the pilot his religion before he takes off. |
TRUTHTOPOWER:That's my point. Saraki is still innocent, but you cannot prove your innocence by running away from the theatre of justice. It like an acclaimed wrestling champions obtaining an injunction never to wrestle. |
SeverusSnape:Listen to yourself. It is now that they knew Saraki is corrupt? Are you asking the government of politicians or are you asking public agencies? What relationship does Obama has with FBI when Hillary Clinton email scandal was published. Educate yourself on how things works in democratic environment. Buhari should have no say on whom the agencies investigate or prosecution, neither should they consult him. If they do, it means that they don't understand their job, but I don't care when it comes to corruption. The same thing I told Adolphus Wabara during OBJ time, when he was whining about witch hunt with his fingers inside the cookie jar. Why now is not a defence for some you in bed with corruption because of this silly PDP/APC politics that blind many of you from the realities of those that have stolen the future of your children. |
SeverusSnape:Sermon is for a purpose, just as medicine is for a purpose, no one can spare you from it. You can only spare yourself from it. As a healthy person doesn't need medication. After sparing yourself, first thing Sunday morning you would be the first sitting front row of your church waiting for the same sermon with your bible in your hand calling on, on some unknown god. Spare you!! |
otubujohn:Yes, because they have the same jurisdictions. That is what the corrupt judges that gave him injunction should have told him to go and defend yourself and if unsuccessful, there is an Appeal Court, depending on what the law said. |
Ayoswit:. Corruption create and multiple unemployment. If you support and kill corruption, unemployment will be possibly halved. |
chachanga:PDP must not die, rather they will learn their lessons and genuinely reformed and hopefully if ever they get to power again, they will respect and fear the electorates. And not boasting of ruling for 60 years. Every genuine democracy needed a strong opposition. Nigeria need a new strong PDP. |
He said while the PDP was created as a coalition to wrest power from the military, the APC was a merger of several interest groups set up to wrest power from the PDP.No sir, that's incorrect. NADECO emerged to wrestle power from the ministry, nothing to do with PDP, many of them were part of the military establishment. The military has already planned to go before PDP was formed. PDP emerged to keep power in the hands of the usual 1%. APC (acn, anpp, cpc, splinter of apga + few pdp decampees) emerged to wrestle power from PDP and that is the purpose of multiple party system, to fight for power or you get a Saddam Hussein democracy. |
SeverusSnape:Crime has no expiring date. Ask Bill Cosby he will educate you. |
chukwudi44:What you are doing is what our Igbo ancestors refers to " the person that left bottom that farted and start hitting the head. So your so called vendetta is now a free pass for crime? Vendetta should had been the reason to keep your nose clean or lie low. |
SeverusSnape:Of course armed robbers inside Kirikiri prison are equally been witch hunt. Many even think Ibori was being witch hunt. In your way of reasoning, an armed robber must never be arrested because he is a enemy of the local DPO. So he is free to rob and pillage., any move against him amounted to witch hunt. This is what politics has done to many of you. Jesus Christ,! |
Agbakoba is talking nonsense, any appeal emanating from the Code of conduct tribunal lies with Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. It is unheard of in law of any judicial obstruction of law enforcement investigation as done by this corrupt justice of the federal high court The tribunal shall proceed with what they are doing and let Saraki proceed to the superior court of appeal. |
Truckpusher:You seemed to have a thing about gutters. |
apolonius:I felt your pain years ago. I gave up on Nigerians many years ago. It was the same in 1984. Without even knowing it, many Nigerians love and embrace corruption. When one thief is caught, their reaction has always been: what about the others?, and then their whole attention and anger is shifted towards the prosecutor, rather than getting mad at the protagonist. Today Ibori still got supporters outside of his family. Weird nation. |
omolami:I don't want to join your conspiracy theory. I have never met Buhari neither have you met him and so I don't know the source of your Buhari's disdain theory from? What any decent person Should be bothered about was wherther Saraki committed the crime he was being charged with or not. Not who doesn't like his smile. I don't give a rat about witch hunt. Why is Dogara not being witch hunted too? If you don't want to be witch hunted, keep your sticky fingers clean. I don't hear you bleating that thousands now in various Nigeria prisons are being witch hunted. As far as am concerned, Saraki is still an innocent man and am rooting for to make himself a hero by going to court a clear his name with his own evidence. If he he succeed, I will be the first to doff my hat for him, he can sure those CCB for their last penny. Tell me whoever that was charged for corruption in Nigeria that doesn't carry the blanket of witch hunt as their usual defence? So when shall that end. |
