Was Deziani in trouble because of her administrative policies or because she was accused of stealing public funds? |
Jaideyone:If one was a herdman, what's the profession the others, bricklayers, cocoa farmers? When does a person profession incriminate all of those of his trade? Or when does a Yoruba/Igbo carpenter's crime makes all Yoruba/Igbo carpenters criminals? Do you people think at all when you reason or does tribalism thinks for you? |
abbeycial:There are no individual known as Fulani, so why would anyone pray for an encounter with Fulani when there are millions of Fulani all over West Africa? In sane climate, Falae should be charged for making false claims and wasting police time. Like most tribal hate filled Nigerians, he knew exactly what he was doing, where ordinary people from different tribal groups will start hating and killing each other for nothing because a big man started an unsubstantiated allegations. |
Sibrah:A well known fact? Well known yet you stated non at all. It funny how tribalism affected every common sense reasoning in Nigeria, turn supposed educated into stark illiterates. |
sigiyaya:Why not? In politics, there are not permanent friends but permanent interest. That why those that kept saying that Amaechi betrayed Jonathan are just milk feeding babies. If anything, Jonathan betrayed Amaechi. |
xremmy:Mr Abati, of all the stuff you had just written, this few lines of of yours above, was the only reasonable thing that make sense and worth remembering. It confirms your briefcase carrier status in government and knew nothing that happens behind the scene just like every one else.. |
Osyabj:I had learned with experience not to continue blaming Yoruba for what happened to us or use the word "betrayed". We are two different people with individual self interests to protect and defend. Yoruba owes us nothing and so do we. They did not betray us but acted on self interest. Irrespective of how their actions or inaction hurts us then, we had to accept that they acted out of their self own interest, just as we fought for our self existence and our self interest too. They believed that one Nigeria would be best serve their interest and evidence since 1970 had shown that they were right as they had done very well with one Nigeria. They seemed to know how to operate within the mucky waters of Nigeria, hence they loved it. But we the Biafra people has no idea how to operate in Nigeria despite the experiences, hence being outside Nigeria willl best serve us. Even though that I believed that Oduduwa as an independent nation has what it takes be more successful more than everyone else in Nigeria today if left on their own as a nation but for some reason they believe in one Nigeria. We should accept and respect that. Calling them betrayers does not help our own cause in anyway possible. Experience had thought me loads. That's why I joined NADECO then in the UK and spent my hard-earned cash on it, because I honestly and truly believed that it was our brightest opportunity to get out of Nigeria, but we could not got over the past and we blew it again. That is why I supported the idea of Radio/TV Biafra, but am totally against the content of their broadcasting. No reasonable politician in world will take us serious with what they are broadcasting. Its silly, unintelligent crude and lack of purpose or direction. |
InyinyaAgbaOku:I had never campaigned or supported any Nigeria fragmentation but rather, that my Biafra people should not be part of pro 1970 Nigeria. But those that love to stay with one Nigeria should be encouraged and allowed to exercise that choice. And the only condition of Biafra being part of Nigeria That I will ever subscribe is through the adoptation of United kingdom system among their four home nations., where nations like Biafra will be free to exercise their independence in every spheres of life except in defence and foreign affairs. That has been my stance since 1967 and has never change.. But because I wanted Biafra doesn't mean I had to listen to an unreliable person like FFK who never stood on any principles between am to pm but his stances are based on where his relevance was at any particular time within the ruling circle. |
He is hungry again. Someone please feed him. The biggest flip flopper ever, who never remain on any stance for even a second. Few months ago he believed in Nigeria with Jonathan as Jesus Christ, few months later he believed in Oduduwa. What the heck with T Y Danjuma of all people? FFK equalized crazy+confusion |
Consistency is my mantra. Even in private life, I had always maintained a certain stance over issues and never indulged in flip floppings. That if you are to tell my friends that I said something, they will more than likely to know whether I said such a thing. Having said that, am very open minded and can change my opinion once am convinced with facts that am wrong. Hence since I joined Nairaland in its earlier days, I had never hide the fact that Mohammed Buhari and Ebitu Ukiwe are the two and only Nigerian living politicians that I trust as deeply honest persons until such a time I see facts to change that. I had never changed in my belief that Emeka Ojukwu, Sam Mbakwe and my father are the only three Igbo men I can trust my life with, living or late. I had never changed my stance of the fact that Nigeria created after 1970 is not my cup of tea and a strongest believer of the independent of Biafra from Nigeria and wished others who wants to continue with one Nigeria well and its an affront to call Nigeria a zoo because Nigeria has potential to be great but without us Biafrans. Finally, from day one, right from his day as a deputy governor I had always maintained that Goodluck Jonathan lacks what it takes to be my Town Union president, let alone a president of nearly 200 million people. He is weak, dines with corruption, opportunist individual. And he confirms my stance by the way he behaved through Alamesiegha's impeachment, when Yar Adua was ill, how he manipulated and used Ndigbo, starting with his fake and concocted Azikiwe middle name, his wife's unrestricted impunity in Rivers and Bayelsa states, his role in Fayose's comeback, his Buruji romance and the stadium job interview scandal and tragedy. . So op, do not give Buhari my name. Am not his supporter but rather an admirer. I defended his name when I was a lone ranger against what I knew to be falsehood. It has nothing to do with politics. Am going to change, if he changes tomorrow. So far, he is still the same man. |
Kingsley1000:Is there any physics, chemistry, biology or economic text book in your local language? No. By the way, what's Nnaji still doing there? And chewing English language like kola. |
funkiebully:According to your wisdom PDP will still clear it , but ask yourself why a rerun was ordered in the first place? Is it because the tribunal likes reruns or is it because PDP was found to have rigged ithe election n those units? So they rig an election they knew they can win 10 times if done over and over again? If they can rig where they were so assured to win, then imagine what they did in the area they got little chance of winning or areas they were running neck and neck with their opponents? The fact remains that an average Nigerian politician doesn't have confidence in winning by pure one man one vote system. They are still going to manipulate an election even if they are the only one with a vote to cast. They will still rig an election they are the sole candidate, just like Saddam Hussein. |
FreeGlobe:I always try to discuss only issue and not name calling. Even if am wrong, which I am many times, there are other means and ways to point it out decently without resorting to bullish language. You seemed to be love with the word "foolish". So am well outside that sort of league. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:You maybe right but if I can recall, the event leading to and after his bow and go screening was like a Jakara market atmosphere. If that's is their rules, that ok but it should be done with some measure of decorum, civil and respect to their positions of authority. |
FreeGlobe:It seems that you don't digest what you read first before jumping in to make an out of context comments. There is no comparison between this sort of screening and the one of Obanikoro then. So how could his screening be a child play model for anyone? Because there was no screening then, he only came and took a bow. With PDP senators cheering him like school kids in a playground and opposition senators wailing like no man's business. The atmosphere was devoid of business and respect. This is what change is all about, not only about stopping the stealing of Naira and Kobo. That is what am trying to say . Don't answer question without reading it properly. Who is really foolish now? |
imohchard:And most folks were still asking where is the change? Anyone recalled Obanikoro's screening? |
lagmostkuit:What is normal to you? And did you became an expert on the looks of geriatrics? |
seunmsg:So you know the system more than the civil servants and presidency? Tell me something I don't know. |
owobokiri:Do you just oppose for the mere sake of opposition? Did you read the report or you just commented because you saw the word Buhari? The report is about a leader who seems to understand the issue more than the civil servants who must have done a terrible job but cannot get away with it because the person receiving the report well understood the subject matter more than him. |
Quote: Even though am not against the anti corruption fight. ![]() Mr Fayose! You have a funny way of showing that you are not against anti corruption fight. Fayose the only man ever on record to hire chickens to open a phantom poultry farm to OBJ's amazement who was invited to open the farm, when he declared " this place doesn't smell like a poultry, I don't think that this chickens lives here". OBJ went home and vowed to impeach Fayose and his crude way, he did. I only feel sorry for this guy called Fayose's spokesman with all the stuff he had to vomit everyday called statement. What a fool. |
Wulfruna:It's makes lot of sense. There are no individual called Fulani herdsmen. If an individual Fulani was the kidnapper, it shall be treated as such and not stereotyping the whole Fulani herdsmen. If an Igbo man with a shop at Idumota kidnapped someone, will it be right to say that Igbo spare parts dealers kidnapped someone? Treat others how you wished to be treated. This was exactly what happened in 1966, few Igbo soldiers with others executed a coup, but later it became an Igbo coup through wicked evil stereotype and lots of innocent people died for something for which they knew nothing about. |
Mogidi:Are sure are brave enough to go to a cattle and catch one let alone a herd. You are probably enjoying a delicious plate of a cow meat while writing this. |
sayyid:No one is telling you anything and neither should you be telling tales too as we knew nothing until those with facts tell us. Saraki: CCB Ibori: British justice system Madueke: British anti corruption agency/EFCC Amaechi: ? |
sayyid:There issues you don't sit in your little bed room and then guessed. This is one of those. |
edwife:Another supporter of corruption. £13m a misplaced priority? That's the total national/foreign debt of most nations in the world. What a stupid question to ask how billions of dollars allegedly stolen from you and your yet unborn, how it solve present security problems? That money is enough to make Nigeria army and other law enforcement agencies one of best equipped and best paid in the world. That money will build a first class 21st century equipped hospitals in every single local government in Nigeria with still cash left over That money will build 10 second Niger bridges with enough left over. That money can create thousands of well paid jobs for many unemployed people who had resorted to armed robbery, kidnapping, militancy and Boko Haram insurgency. Rather than be livid, you busy wallowing supporting those that had mortgaged your present and future (if had one) God must surely be regretting creating some of you. What a crass people! |
sayyid:I thought I was told for months that it was Tinubu that funded him or was it Okorocha at some point, plus the Arab league? This sponsorship seems to changes by the hour. ![]() |
chukwudi44:Isn't that playing into Buhari's hand who never wanted politicians anyway? This is my theory: what if Buhari promoted all his nominees as federal permanent Secretaries just as Dickson promoted Mrs Jonathan even when she never turned up for work for years? ![]() Then no minister would be needed and they will run the ministries as permanent secretaries. Constitution did not say that you must have ministers, only that, when you do appoint them., they should spread across the 36 states. |
Demburrows:Buhari campaign sponsor changes by the minute. Initially it was Rochas Okorocha, later it becomes Tinubu, then it was the turn of Amaechi to become the sponsor and now it's the Arab league and the sponsored Buhari was sponsoring Boko Haram. as well. Jeeez! ![]() |
Unless this case doesn't go in the same style as Ibori's may prediction far back in 2012, may still come to fruition that "Goodluck Jonathan maybe the first Nigeria head of state to go to jail for corruption". Not because he is worse than others before him but simply because he is brainless. If these figures being bandied about is correct and real, it will be absurd the possible thought that he was totally ignorant of it. That would earn him a Nobel prize for cluelessness if he was totally unaware. |
TonyeBarcanista:Tell them please. What an ignorant bunch of people. If Buhari decide not to appoint any minister at all that is his prerogative. |
Someone should tell the sinators that the reason ministers were screened in the presidential system was because they weren't elected but appointed. Unlike the parliamentary system where the cabinet and junior ministerial are drawn from among elected members of parliament, hence no need for screening. Buhari was elected and cannot be screened if he wished to manage any part of his government by himself or his deputy. If he likes he may decide to scrap the ministry of petroleum altogether and then what? Law makers who are ignorant of the law process. |
EgusiSoup:Another lover of corruption speaks. What will take for it to register with you that you and your family are victims of your heroes and heroines? |
