franzzyekiko:There was a time, you are also in love with Akpan Isemin too, where is he now? |
Coolomotola:Naa!!, they don't love him, they only love what may fall out of his pocket. Its like saying that the dog following the man with diarrhea loved him. They use to love Chimaraoke Nnamani in Enugu too, but where is the love now? |
This week the news broke that a well respected Volkswagen has been fitting software into their cars in order to beat emission test requirements in the US and Europe. Billions has been wiped off their shares as a result of the fall out. And this evening, it's CEO Martin Winterkorn resigned and many more resignations are expected from the board. Am thinking, if it had happened in Nigeria, Mr Winterkorn will be asking whether he was the mechanic engineer that fitted in the cheating softwares into the cars.? And why him? His supporters will be lining up behind him shouting witch hunt. His colleagues at Mercedes, Audi will follow him to the press conference, telling him that they are solidly behind him, that he was been witch hunt for being a competitor to U.S, British and French car companies. |

buygala:It's not an epistle, it's the reality of democracy. It like football, a deliberate hand ball in the box is always a penalty no matter where you are playing, Antarctica or Sahara Desert. Same with democracy, it the same norm or return the junta rule. |
buygala:He wasn't forgiven, the impeachment was overturned by the superior house, the Senate. Supreme court overturns judgement not forgive the convicted. Bill Clinton issue was more of a private issue about sex which should not have gotten where it got, if not for politics of the time. Meanwhile. Saraki is facing a 13 count serious criminal charges, if found guilty in any of the 13 charges could be send to jail. Stop comparing Mango and cassava. |
chukwudi44:Which court charged Buhari for forgery with even PDP in power? Repeating a lie will not eventually make it the truth. |
buygala:Do not rewrite history about Nixon as that's not true. Bill Clinton was never charged for anything let alone for a criminal case. He was investigated for perjury but never charged of which the republican majority used to impeach, which was overturned in the Senate. So do not tell stories you don't know anything about it or very little. No politician in the US or UK especially a cabinet minister or near the position that Saraki hold will be going through a criminal trial and still remained in office, whether he pleaded guilty or not. A cabinet minister in the UK Chris Humes who lied to the police that it was his wife that was driving their car while speeding and his wife took the blame. Few years after he left his wife for another woman, his wife went back to the police and told them the truth in revenge and both were charged by the police for lying.. The minister not only immediately resigned as a cabinet minister but was forced to quit as a member of parliament by his party and his constituent immediately even though he pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was later found guilty and was sent to jailed and today he is no body. |

I think, hunger may likely finish Boko Haram than guns and bullets looking at these men |
chukwudi44:Yeah! Noble men like Theodore Orji, who successfully turned Abia into a paradise of garbage heaps. Noble men indeed. If those are your noblemen, then I shudder what your non-nobles will look like. It's an abomination in Igbo culture to identify with thieves. |
Experts on crime, criminologist and law enforcement agents in all developed environment all believed that to solve a crime, you need to understand the crime, motives, lifestyle of victims etc. There is also a common belief that majority of crimes are much more closer to home, 90% of the time. No matter how hardened a thief is, they never ventured into an unfamiliar territory without first doing some home work or some sort of surveillance on their victims. Majority of murders are committed by the people that knew the victim. So when such happened, the best place to look first and foremost is the husband, wife, children, parents, in laws, siblings and business partners, best friends and lovers. Hence I found it chilling and ridiculous hearing senior police officers talking about Fulani herdsmen over Falae's disappearance only based on the testimony of his domestic staff, few hours after the crime. Within any serious law enforcement environment, the first people to be quizzed should had been Falae's immediate family including his staff members. Look at their phone records, where they were the night before and hours before the kidnap? Because someone is crying or talking doesn't mean that they are innocent. Often perpetrators point the police to another direction to deflect any attention from themselves. Even if the story of the mysterious Fulani herdsmen are be believed or true, it could still be an inside job by those Falae loved dearly. It's unheard of that a stranger will just kidnap you without knowing nothing about you or not knowing the appropriate person to call for ransom and the phone number of that person. And such an information always comes from within. I believed that many people get away with murder in Nigeria because of this mindset of looking outside whenever a crime was committed. Those that planned and executed the kidnap of this man could be those he eat and dine with all the time. |
Patebere:PMB is not judiciary. And when he moan about corrupt judges sabotaging any war on corruption, you lot complain again and some shout witch hunt. What do you people really want? |
baralatie:I hated this phrase of "what about him" so much that I can punch a wall in anger. |
Please may this season of witch hunt or whatever they have christened it never stop. Am totally in love now with witch hunt. Come on witch hunters! |
Txonyi:I saw many Biafrans lining up behind Saraki yesterday at the court. It's not about your tribe. Every tribe in Nigeria has their own rogues. We as Ndigbo has plenty of our own, that's why I support Biafra nation, so that we can go home and deal with our rogues as we sees fit, without them pointing fingers asking what about Tinubu? or its a witch hunt. If Tinubu is corrupt, then let his people take care of him and so too Saraki. Corruption has no tribe or language in my eyes. |
ucheokpara100:You chose your wife or she was arranged for you with your agreement. No one chose 99% of these rogues you are calling your leader. They are not leaders but rather rulers, who are their only for purposes of being important, fattening their bank balance, buying many houses they don't live. They are not supposed to 'be just only criticized but rather deserved to be stoned. What does Saraki does for a living that earned him this sort of an asset within 16 years, if not politics.? Politics is not supposed to be a career but a service that give you a livelihood, not stupendous wealth. |
I wonder how his follow-follow senators felt being referred as just a senator? Saraki is of the opinion that some senators are just ordinary senators who are insignificant, therefore no one bothered about them irrespective that they are all equally elected by their equal constituents. |
How is that a shock of his life? I thought someone slapped his face or spit into his mouth. Why not say that some civil servants tried to embarrass Okorocha? Some of you knows how to make big headline with little story. |
There is no one person called Igbos. Buhari got close to 150k votes in Imo alone despite the rigging. Those folks are Igbos too. Not every westerner or northerner voted or supports Buhari as we speak, so why must every Igboman support Buhari? |
Stolen:And who did we kidnap back in Igboland, when one of ours was kidnapped in the past? |
PointB:You started with op you no well and the came up with this? I think you need more doctors than the Op. |
@op, and what would you have done? |
Cope1:Some of can defend anything. Maybe the flour for the cake was made of gold. How do some of you sleep at night? How can any sane person defend a N75m cake in country where people are owed salaries for months? What is wrong with some of you? |
Plshavmercyamen:Have you heard about conspiracy theory? This is it. Story of the flying saucers. |
midolian:Have you heard about conspiracy theory? This is it. Story of the flying saucers. |
drss:Exactly my point before. So what are you waiting for? |
Ayima:Stop making him a victim, you and your family are the real victim. Any force against him was created by him and him alone. You cannot give your opponent any rope, and expect him not to hang you with it. You cannot be tackling without thinking inside your own box and expect not to get a penalty awarded against you by the referee. Saraki is not a victim. |
If thats is the case, why can't those shouting Tinubu and Amaechi do the same? Get your evidence and facts and hand them over to the relevant agencies. If El Rufai can sniff out what Saraki was up to, so too those asking about Amaechi and Tinubu. In advanced countries, that how the law enforcement agents get their informations, through the citizens as they are not magicians. Instead shouting what about him or why not him? all the time without doing anything or any evidence, please be an El Rufai or shut up. |
Killings are still Killings and dying are still dying. But the differences I spotted with Jonathan era and Buhari era are these: 1. With Jonathan Boko Haram are were very bold but with Buhari, not so bold anymore. 2. With Jonathan, they pose for the camera with their armoured tanks taunting the government but now they have resorted to the use of audio message only. 3. During Jonathan, they took over many local government area (14 at one point) and mounted their flags and roam freely in those towns in their trucks, these days, that is history, from controlling 14 LGA to zero control. 4. During Jonathan, the army use to run away, these day its the BK Haram on the run. 5. During Jonathan they conduct daily raid and plant bomb in public places including cities like Abuja, but now they had resorted to suicide bombing using small girls they recruited, which are hard to dictate. 6. During Jonathan, there were mistrust among the neighbouring nation but now they are more united with a single goal. 7. During Jonathan, the army leadership are all based in Abuja drinking their coffee, now they are right there in the centre of the theatre in Borno. 8. During Jonathan, the issue of the Chibok girls are treated with a lukewarm attitude coupled with conspiracy theory even among those near the corridors of power but today, its top on the least of the agenda. 9. During Jonathan, they use to raid police and army barracks for arms and ammunitions with great success, but these day, they only do hit and tun inside tiny villages just to get foot and drinks. |
This was exactly my position since last week that you cannot appeal a judgement that doesn't exist. You have the right of appeal towards the CCT final judgement. How can you appeal against a trial, especially from you bedroom and not the court that you are questioning its eligibility? Like this guy said, how many politicians has ever challenged the eligibility of the electoral tribunal? Because they knew the tribunal will carry on without them and by the time they show up, their political seat is gone and given to their opponent for lack of contest. The same law the empowered the electoral tribunal empowers the code of conduct tribunal. |
IbokUtoroh:Thats why am not a Senate President making laws for anyone. Thieves making laws are just a mockery to law itself. |
