massinola:So your solution is Mugabe styled one party system until such a time the angels falls down from heaven and presented you with the alternative. Abacha deserved an apology then. |
swagwu:Look at what Nigeria politics has done to a God's creation. The pilot alone could be anybody from your classmate, neighbour, next of kin just doing their job. Here you are making a rat of yourself. |
drlawizle:What did he sow? |
The problem is that most Nigerians, especially the so called educated are still warped in the old military mindset, where a dissenting voice is viewed or treatment as an enemy and not as an opponent. But what the gullible and oppressed Nigerians fail realise is that these political elite are friends behind the scene. Atiku visiting OBJ, likes of Amaechi and Rochas now friends to Buhari, Modu Sheriff a pal of GEJ. |
JECBOSS:It is highly unlikely that Jonathan has anything to do with it. But when a Government made the apparatus of the state believe that they work for the government and not the State, they risk inadvertently encouraging morons to do unlawful things in their behalf, because they believed that they are helping those in power and when those in power did nothing too afterwards, the morons will go a step further. So the buck stops with Jonathan and the ministers in charge. Or did you think that all those Ugandans murdered were killed by Idi Amin by himself during his time? A good leader will make heads roll in a scenario of this nature and take the moral high ground over the opposition party, but they are likely to even encourage it with their reaction later. |
Nctrice:They didn't seem to succeed then, as they did not get yours as I can sense. ![]() |
snazzylove:It's not his generation that snatch ballot boxes or sit in a hotel room and stuff them. That thug called a governor now in Ekiti is not of his generation. Those jumping over the fence last week at the national assembly are not of his generation. The go and die governor of Edo is not of his generation. |
Montaque:Yes I have heard of Chuka Umunna. My family and his has been friends for over 30 years. I personally went from door to door in Streatham to campaign for his candidature during his election. No one is stopping you from being a leader if you know what you wanted as a leader. You don't say to people to step down for you because they are old and you are young. If Jonathan or any baby out there has better qualities than Buhari, by all means vote for them, that is democratic process. Chuka was selected over 4 others in his local Labour association because at the town hall meetings, he came across as the brightest and the most intelligent among the others, especially in his area of labour Laws. And eventhough he is young, he has been an active member of the local Labour party since he was 19. He he has worked as a volunteer with the Labour unions helping workers. He worked behind the scene with Gordon Brown's and Ed Miliband. So the Chuka you saw as an MP is a finish product years of preparing for leader despite his age. He wasn't there because he is young. |
MrAboki:I wasn't recommending Buhari for you or asking you to vote for him. Age makes no difference when it comes to leadership, so I disliked when people kept going on about the man's age or his uniform in military times. Great leaders like Dwight Eisenhower, Winston Churchill or De Gaulle are all ex military men. You forgot that there are civilians who are more militarized than the men in khaki uniforms? Men like Abiola or Iwuanyanwu. But when Jonathan wears the same military gear, the same mouths will hypocritically be going on as to how commander in chief he looks, when he cannot even command his own wife to order let alone command the armed forces against Boko Haram. |
nov19:If you don't like those activities, then return to military rule, where there are no unpleasant statements or critics. Politics is a game of argument, it's a beauty contest, whoever lies best or convinced people best wins. |
MrAboki:You forgot that David Mark was in the military longer than Buhari. A greater percentage of all of them today self confessed democrats were ministers, commissioners etc during the military era. What the difference if you eat your eba with your fingers or with a fork? |
Montaque:He will then re -educate the child that Ronald Reagan was a very good leader and was older. That the young like Dimeji Bankole happened to be unworthy of leadership. You will naturally become a leader, when you decide to grow up and man-up . Hopefully that child will listen and learn. |
Whatever slave hat GEJ can wear I can wear it as well. Very creepy ![]() |
enkay4love:GEJ if ever he made such a promise to serve one term and then decide to change his mind is not a crime or against the law. More of a moral issue then a legal one. OBJ is like that person that shoot in the bush and came out to the road asking what the noise was about? Most of the rogue in the national assembly was his handiwork. His problem is not about saying any truth but cannot stomach that the man he planted into power refused to be controlled and he is lashing out. Let him declare his assets. His presidency made GEJ looks like Angel Gabriel. Just wait, tomorrow Jonathan and his wife will also join the chorus of harping on about corruption too. |
OBJ of all people? ![]() Where everyone is shouting about crime and more crime, please tell me, who are the criminals? He laid the current trend even down to the state assemblies, where governors are impeached at the dead of night with less the quorum numbers, often sitting outside the state, like Peter Obi being impeached from Asaba in them days. Something Jonathan is watching as its creeping back because of hunger for power, after doing very well in those areas for the past few years. OBJ imported naira culture into their national assembly. Instigating impeachment of speakers and Senate presidents. Oh! He plotted and murdered our brother Chuba Okadigbo for standing up to him. OBJ talking about corruption shows how creepy the Nigeria society and their rulers has become. |
luchy34:How many of your physics, biology. Chemistry etc text books were written in Igbo Yoruba or Efik? More likely the first language you heard when you arrived on this earth was English. English is Nigeria lingual franca. |
hyfr:So your explanation is now that the DSS speaks in coded English and you are here to decode it for us peasants? I don't think so, thanks for trying anyway. |
OLADD:I have lived in a country where the rule of law is supreme all the time. There are procedures and ethics as to how things happen in democracy irrespective of what you suspect Lai Mohammed will say. Mr Mohammed is the propaganda mouthpiece of the APC, so it's his job to talk whatever they chose to do anyway So, not an excuse to behave as if you are in Putin's Russia. Nigeria has a civilian rule and not a democracy, if the apparatus of the state that supposed to be neutral become the grass cutter of the government. There is huge difference between a State and a Government. DSS works for the Nigeria State not the PDP government. |
OLADD:So in the school you attended, they thought you that you can publish a result first well ahead collecting the fact and cross checking? If DSS is your epitome of wisdom, then stupidly should be scrubbed off the dictionary. Politics do not colourate my brain, it does not determine my opinion over any issue. I am too smart to be calling a white a blue just because politics of hate and bitterness. My life would be meaningless if am to sunk to that level. |
eziotu:Don't kid yourself. Every language has a rule. Don't tell me that my dynamic Igbo language do not have rules. |
SaintRobs:I thought I was the only one that get irked whenever I heard electioneering campaign with the Nigeria media illiterate graduates. It's like saying short-knickers. Another nonsensical one is the misuse of the expression " Mr President" as if it's a name, instead of a quantification of a title. And you use it mostly when the person is in your presence if you decide not to call him by his name. I have heard Mrs Jonathan used the same Mr President instead of saying my husband. |
Nigeria DSS is an intelligence agency without any atom of intelligent going by their modus operandi and work ethics. |
Am a lay person when it comes to computer technology but I still know for sure that Apple iMac computers do not have external CPUs, they are internal. If you want to break the activities of your opponent using the apparatus of the state, at least make sure that you get your story right, accurate, authentic and believable. And you raided a place and recovered an incriminating evidence, you just don't broadcast it until you present it as an evidence in court, Meanwhile everything listed are normal basic things you see in any modern office. There was no mention of any smoking gun in relation to cloning of a card as if APC do not have the right to produce their party membership cards. Who on earth sets up a hacking office, when you can do it anywhere while sipping a cup of coffee? |
gtrust:You are absolutely wrong about your tone of whether Chou likes it or not. If Nigeria is a real democracy (which they are not) a public servant won't be building mansions whether he likes it or not. He may even be restrained, even when it's legitimate because it does not put him a good stade with that elected them to serve. especially when he represents mostly poor populace. It is your sort of attitude that give those that supposed to be scared of the electorate and what they think of them, to act as if the same electorates are their slaves as they act with impunity. |
gbaskipro:Are you sure about this? If he was a wanted man in America, how come the Democratic Party of the same America invited him as a guest at their national convention during Obama's re-election bid? Or did they forgot? This seems untrue to me because it doesn't make any sense that your wanted person can equally be your own guest at the same time. |
stevnwigw1:Sir for a drug mule? Ok!! |
Alphaoscar:What happened to the one Akpabio almost extinguished last term, when they nearly burnt Uyo down? |
gtrust:Sometimes I don't know whether to weep or laugh. So your biggest worry about public servants building mansions is just were the mansion located? Gosh!!!! Nigerians deserved the leadership they are saddled with, honestly. What a people! |
Fire15:So he was and still is a professional public dependent and reaper then? Enough said. |
Mekiluv:Common, you must, surely must not ask such a low question. Stop letting yourself down for mindless politicians. You are smarter than that. 90 days before the biggest election in the land, opening at 6.30 is puzzling you? Shouldn't they have a thousand people there 24 hours working flat out if they want to win? Get some sense of reasoning back people and forget politics. |
idumuose:What part of Nigeria law are you quoting, requiring them to put a sign post? Sign posting is a form of advertising or invitation. When does it becomes the business of the state apparatus to force people to advertise their activities? Show me a picture of Aso Rock being signed posted, if that is the new law. This is called, problem is sleeping and idiotic one goes to wake him. It is the freedom of being opposition that share the same equality with the party in power that determines the true nature of democracy of states. |
IdiAmin1:Since you are not living in Naija according to your admission, then I do hope you are not living in North Korea, cos I don't know when starting work at 6.30 or any other time constitute a crime and you have already portions verdict of shame. |

How can that be possible when the old brains have refused to give way for modern ideas
