So the man that helped us with the application said we ought to have corrected it on the day of capturing. He added that since they have submitted, there is nothing that can't be done unless we go to Abuja after it's out.

Tho he added that it might not really matter much that it's date of birth and Local Govt of Origin that really matter.

It can still be recalled before production, all they had to do is ticket the file and iris will work on it to do the correction before the passport is produced. Once the passport is produced, you're looking at spending 100k to correct it and you'll have to go to Abuja on top of that

I just realized recently that it has a four year difference in my date of birth which makes the DOB captured on my passport incorrect. Should I apply for a new one, hoping the data captured in 2008 will not pop up the previous information?

It will pop up... you'll have to do change of data in Abuja

This is particularly why I'm woried... I don't expect my details to pop up on a wrong NIN. I just crossed checked again and saw that it has been wrong from the day of capturing.


The first picture is the NIN on my newly issued passport and the second picture is the NIN on my Nimc portal

Kindly go to NIN office first that they should give you details of the NIN on your passport, after then go back to immigration office if the problem persist

Hello everyone, I just renewed and collected my passport at the immigration office only for me to get home and discover that they made a mistake on my NIN number printed on the bio-data page.

For context: my NIN starts with 5390.... But they printed 5930....

Please what can I do in this situation?

I'm not sure this is possible because NIN on passport number is auto-generated and if it's not correct there's no way they can produce your passport. As all the data on the NIN must correspond with your passport application. Recheck and revert to me

Abuja 16th August has moved finally, MA and one dependant got collection mail yesterday, 2 other dependants just moved to VAC today. Coming back on Monday with visa alert by God's grace.

This ukvi are very s.illy, they abandoned standard visa and face priority. If they open up priority, it should be that they have idle hands to take care of them not elongating standard visa's time. Flight cost is rising everyday and their ineptness has destabilized people's plan
