sexaddict08:yeah, he was there on 6th February, 2013. I know this cuz I was there and the gridlock affected me that day |
gbl01:of what use is someone working in a place where you're not familiar with the terrain and you can't even speak their language? |
gbl01:I'm not saying a local police like vigilante should be created, all I'm saying is that people from each community should be drafted into the police force and be mandated to work in their various communities |
The security situation in the country hit an all time low yesterday when a group of armed robbers invaded 2 commercial banks in Ikorodu area of Lagos state. The bandits reportedly dared the policemen for confrontation but the men in black reportedly scampered for safety in a primary scool nearby. The operations went on for over an hour with no security response. This happened in the economic capital of Nigeria where we have the largest number of security personnel in the country. If such operations could be successfully carried out in Lagos, what will happen in kaura namoda, ikirun, ikot ekpene, biu, elele, and other town In the country. I read with disbelief how people call the policemen cowards and all sorts of name. Majority of Nigerians has no idea of what policemen in this country passed through in serving this nation. Scores of policemen have been killed and their families have been in agony for decades. The issue is that there is no motivation, training, arms and tactical support for our security forces. Another problem is that most of these men have no territorial familiarity with their place of operations. How can a Bayo that has never been to east, that can't speak igbo language be fully utilised in imo state? How can a Chukwuma be optimally functioned in yobe state or of what use is adamu in ikom? I think the police authority should deploy all personnel back to their home state and ensure that they stay there. Bayo should police ajiroba community where he grew up, chukwuma should police upper iweka where he knows the nooks and crannies, adamu should remain in pomari where he can walk through while shutting his eyes. Motivation is another problem facing our men. Our policemen are poorly remunerated , how do u expect a police constable to survive on N40,000 per month while he's always out there? How can a policeman be responsible for his kits (uniform)?, how do you expect him to be happy when his wards are being ejected from school because of school fees? How do you expect him to lay his life for yours when his family will be neglected? How can he fight back with 10rounds of live ammunition in his riffle? These are the major challenges facing our service men. I agree that most of them are bad, so are the American police that are killing innocent citizens over there. What about tactical support? No communication gadgets, no surveillance choppers, no conducive facilities, rickety vehicles all over the stations. The whole of Lugbe where I reside cannot boast of 30police officers whereas a minister moves about with 25officers, 10 at his residence, 3 for his wife, 10 at his office and so on. The problem facing our men can be solved only if people at the helm of affairs will genuinely initiate lasting reforms. 1. Pay them well 2. Housing, and scholarship for their kids 3. Reliable arms and ammunition 4. Communications and tactical support 5. Invasive training of personnel 6. Post them in a familiar terrain. If all these could be done, I have strong belief that our men will be able to carry out their duty successfully. God bless cc:lalasticlala Seun |
some people will just sit down and be wishing other people bad thing. if thunder strike them now people will be pitying them. |
minimum of 21years in prison. robbers can be pardoned with a little slap on the wrist but when he became "armed", he meant to kill or decapitate his victims. stupid boys |
fatdon2:Stephen curry is the season's MVP, Iguodala tamed LeBron in game 4, 5 and 6. Finals MVP is given solely based on ur performance in the 7game series whereas Season MVP is given based on the entire season performance. I think Iguodala deserved the finals MVP |
tufiakwa..... |
IYANGBALI:with what? |
IYANGBALI:I go call u make u come witness action that day.... |
IYANGBALI:I get mouth joor.... I dey even go defense headquarters with the camouflage by january |
they are joking, I will proudly wear my camouflage uniform anytime I like. I used it during jtf operation in maiduguri and no one can stop me from putting it on. it's like telling a general not to put his medal on because he earned it in war time. let them come and remove it from me. nonsensical nonsense |
This Breaking times of a thing want to replicate Sahara reporters but unfortunately they are nowhere Sahara standard, all they publish is mere rumours without any back up. I wonder how some citizens think, praying for failure of your govt in order to justify ur position. election time is over, President Buhari will be the president for the next four years and his success in office will directly or indirectly affect everyone while his failure will have same effect. we all know that Vice-president, deputy governor are just for decoration unless d chief executive is magnanimous enough to polish it. I believe Osinbajo will play vital roles in this administration especially when it comes to education, justice and foreign affairs but he's a novice when it comes to security and this might explain why he's absent in these meetings. |
My question is this, is Aregbesola owing himself and his political classmates? he has no excuse for owing the workers for that long, the doctors have not been since October, all govt hospitals are on strike and he's still defending his poor management of resources, how did he expect to finance budget of 185billion when ur average monthly allocation is 4billion. he should do d needful or else people will start stoning him. |
and they shamelessly collect the settlement. how are they better than fifa? all these people shouting are just pained because blatter shut them out. Blatter is still better than most of them. |
their days are numbered. no safe haven for the wicked. |
There's surely no way out for this woman..... her sins were so great. |
the truth is that in as much as oby is trying to bring awareness, she's jeopardizing the military operations. US forces killed an Isis commander in Syria few days ago, would this operation be successful if it was broadcasted? military does not need to brief the country their mission. what we want to hear is that "we have done dis or that" not "we will do this or that" . the problem is that the military has been politicized that's why people don't have faith in them again. Buhari has a lot of work to do to restore the pride of our once formidable military. God bless our troops out there. |
Niseamaka:Doris Simon ademiokun |
I think wumi obe can now be vindicated why she never get along with this lady. she even produced a movie titled "widow" to garner sympathies. but the world can now see who she really is.... that jazz go soon expire and Daniel will go back to Doris while Stella will be going to court for another affidavit for change of name. |
baybeeboi:excuse me |
all of them are due to go before, GEJ is just making Buhari's job easier. by the way, has anyone heard from Marilyn Ogar recently? I have some information for her, APC has started cloning again |
oga duke, where av u been? did u travel to Siberia? welcome back.... try and hang around, incoming govt might have a job for you. |
ok |
this man again? ?? I suggest he relocate to another country since he can't accept Buhari as his president |
chuna1985:aiit bro |
chuna1985:only because you didn't know the kind of power the president wields. Jonathan allowed himself to be deceived because he trusts many of his aides. even while his defeat was imminent, they were still deceiving him. Buhari on the other hand has been commander in chief before, was brought in through a coup and was ousted through a coup, therefore he smells liar from afar, just wait and see what will happen. the General cannot be pushed around |
chuna1985:I know but military men are smarter to detect saboteurs, he won't be easily deceived. |
I think this trend can be stopped if Buhari-led govt starve those political prostitute of relevance when they get to APC, example is Tom ikimi, they should all decamp to APC and be relevance only in their ward. I trust Buhari, as a military man, he's knowledgeable enough to tame saboteurs and thieves |
nice one |
