Your chance is slim if you are sponsoring yourself. By the way, how old are you? Why MBA and not a MS on your first degree, or something related? jumboo: Hello
I’ll be applying for a US student visa for a MBA and I would be sponsoring myself. Can non-bank statements be used as financial document. For example a statement of stocks (equities) position which I can easily convert to cash or I need to convert to cash before the application. |

You can change your sponsor. Bleck08: Hi everyone, I was denied visa in January, so I deferred my admission but unfortunately I can't use the same sponsor I used in January, as I plan to go for another interview in may, I will like to know if I can change my sponsor and what kind of excuse I can give the Vo, cuz I think telling the Vo the real reason(money has been moved from the account) is not wise, please help

The focus should not just be about getting admission and securing scholarships. Do work on your confidence for the interview too. You could get funding and still be refused if you refuse to do your homework. |

Until you do so, you may not get the type of help you need from here. Students going for F1 should be concise, conscious. Responses are nice, but where are the other key questions such as, what have you been doing since you finished your first degree? Why did you choose this course? How did you get this scholarship? Also, your response to why APSU is weak and inadequate. Every school in the US has wonderful curriculum (if I should go by what you said), and so, you have not really pointed out why you single-handedly pick the school for that program. I know in and out of your MS program because I have friends in that school, and I am surprised you did not mention the critical points the program offers. Your MS is a combination of business (finance) and computer science that open a lot of career opportunities after graduation. You could work in places someone with just Masters in CS cannot work. That is unique enough to craft a tailored response for. Work on these and you will be fine. ] Good luck shoyoyebiodun: Please your advise and critics will be appreciate and am open to corrections Mock Transcript

Very poor interview. You certainly did not prepare for what was to come. Consular probably think, "well, someone in the UK doing phd recommended a school in the US. You probably should have gone to the UK instead for your studies." When you prepare your response to interview questions, always have in mind of the possible impression your word may convey. I am sorry, but I think you should relax, prepare and go back. In addition, were you offered scholarship? I noticed that having scholarship on i-20 increases your chance. If your school have scholarship or GA position, kindly check and apply. I wish you the best whenever you go back for another interview. uzmu: uzmu: Visa denied today in Abuja embassy F1. Present the case as it is. If you cannot find it, then it is to be accepted as a "lost passport". That you have lost a passport before should not influence the visa outcome. Get yourself ready for the interview, and don't worry about the passport. Good luck mrcodebreaker: Guys I cannot find my old passport that expired in 2018. I have a new one though that I have used to visit uk, sa and kenya which I got in 2018 as well. In filling the DS 160 I was asked if I have a missing passport I said yes. It this a red flag. Cool. Hope you are progressing on your academic plans? Predstan: Yes they are but the reason I chose WES ahead of others is because WES is more acceptable. While some schools will require an evaluated Naces Transcript, some others will boldly write that they want it evaluated by WES |

Try the PGD transcript. It is the most current and you will back the first degree with that. In my mind's eyes, I even see you being accepted. When did you finish your first degree and when did you complete the PGD? adeshna: I had 3rd class and most schools don't accept my CGPA. I did PGD and did well, but most schools only accept first degree. They said using the PGD is a maybe. Not certain it can be considered.

lol. You can't single out marital status as reason for denial. There are many single students in their 30s who got their visas. You can't be so sure the consular was impressed. She/he may be noding in agreement and still not be impressed at all. Why not tell your friend to come here and post the interview transcripts? adeshna: A friend 28 went for visa interview, consular was impressed by all his answers and all. But he was asked, has he married? No. He was rejected. |

You are to be blamed for the refusal. However, try apply again and the visa maybe granted. Do you still have admission from the school? andre99: There is no new school involved in this. I’m presently on a student visa in Canada, studying as well. Went with my confirmation of enrollment, transcript from my school here in Canada. The usa visa consular asked me if i had previously applied to schools in the usa which i said yes. She further asked who did the application for me which i said an agent and specifically asked if i paid the agent which i said yes. She asked the name of the school i told her. She paused for a minute or thereabout and said unfortunately we can not issue you a visa right now because you don’t meet the requirements based on section 214(b). |

It is very simple. You may get funding such as scholarship or GA, but these are often offered based on strong academic profile, which usually includes good GRE score, and your GPA. I will advice you do the search. Decide an MS you'd like to do, then use this search string..." Highly affordable Masters in (program name) in the US". Then look at the first 10-15 pages that pops up. Visit them and explore the list of schools you see. Always make sure you see check the tuition and fee of every school before you apply there. And which type of lawyer are you? Goodluck. Annie26: Good evening all I have a budget of about N4m to study in the USA. Please can anyone recommend a school for me. Any school for masters program in the U.S.
Specially one that will help me with funding. I am currently a lawyer in Nigeria and my undergraduate degree is from the UK. Please can anyone help me out. I need help.

All the other agencies are nice. If you have seen the transcript they evaluate, you will see that WES offers nothing special. GCE, for example uses the same standard and evaluation route that WES uses, and they don't waste time waiting for your school to verify the transcript before they evaluate. As long as the document is from the school, sealed, stamp and well printed, they begin the evaluation immediately. I have used this agency on different occasions and I was pleased with their services. But WES is cool, too. Predstan: Lol... Naces is an association of Evaluation agencies which WES is one of them.
A2Z Evaluations, LLC. Academic Evaluation Services, Inc. Center for Applied Research, Evaluations, & Education, Inc. Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. Educational Perspectives, nfp. Educational Records Evaluation Service, Inc. Evaluation Service, Inc. Foreign Academic Credential Service,
They are all evaluation agencies and member of Naces. Most ot them are cheaper than WES but WES is more reliable and acceptable. Better you go for WEs than other Bodies. ECE is another reliable one but not as reliable as WES |

The consular specifically ask if you paid an agent and why didn't you to go the school? That you have been refused does not mean you cannot get it. Were tuition deposit required or made to the previous school? Which school is this and what is the name of the new school? Also, do say something about your profile so that those who might have an idea on the forum can further help you. Goodluck. andre99: Hello guys, in a bad situation right now. Basically i’m in Canada right now, have been in Canada since September 2017 studying. I had previously considered going to the Usa for study when i got denied at first for my application to Canada. During that process I considered USA. I paid an agent to help with an admission. To cut the story short, i went for an interview for USA visit visa here in Canada, i was denied, the visa officer kept emphasizing about the school I previously applied to in the USA asking if i paid my agent and why didn’t i go to the school. Was denied based on the section 214(b) guys please what do you think. I feel the agent must have paid for my usa admission using a fradulent card. Please guys your intake. |
