Me and my family are moving to Toronto. My daughter has a visitor's visa, my wife has an open work permit and I have a closed work permit

I just got my LOI. I have also successfully moved my flight to December 25th. I am now set once I get my passport next week

1. Do you have an idea if i will be able to travel in late December without getting an approval from international office.

2. How long did it take for you to receive your approval

A private company meant to efficiently handle passports is now the cause of mental torture because they can't get things right. How hard is it to efficiently dispatch passports via private courier on a daily basis? They can't even be reached and they hardly reply emails. For my passport again o! Something I paid them for. I just hope they don't force me to take this fight to social media.

My exam starts next week after three months of online learning. I booked a flight for Saturday already. I've paid for quarantine plans sef. I've made concrete plans that would go to waste if I don't travel this week. VFS is just making me stressed.

You can try to reach them on phone to let them know you got a notification that your passport has been returned by IRCC to their office (VFS)...they will immediately send you the return mail. It comes with another consent form which I’ll attach. You’ll be asked to pay N11,310 to their Sterling Bank account.
You will attach the debit advice and the newly filled consent form and send back to them via email . They dispatch mails on Mondays and Wednesdays; so try to do everything tomorrow so your passport can go with Monday’s batch.

Hope this helps everyone that’s expecting his passport back...

Please who has an idea if Lagos vfs are receiving passport through DHL?

Once you get to Ajah under bridge or the nearest busstop to the expressway, take a straight bus going to lekki . There will be buses going to lekki phase one or jakande. Enter either one, if you enter the one going straight to lekki, stop at 3rd roundabout also called ‘Ikate ’, it is a short journey after you pass the mall (Circle Mall/Shoprite). So from circle mall, you can start telling the conductor you want to stop at ikate. At ikate, just walk down, the VFS is at the left side of that freedom way road. If you stop at jakande, you have to take another bus to ikate. Also, ikate has two entrances, you are going to stop at the second one (closest to lekki phase 1). I hope this helps

I did my biometrics in Abuja and I sent from Abuja to Abuja. Using DHL. It was 3,300 Naira (1,650 for each way)

Ensure to send return courier(that is 2 way envelope)- The courier company understands this. Advisable to use DHL or UPS.

The Biometric receipt received during biometrics and passport request letter should be included alongside the Original passport.

This is the information i got,please cross check when you visit VFS tomorrow if same information is the expectation,that way we can all learn and act.

- I did not submit upfront medicals, i did my medicals after it was requested
- my biometrics status still reads you do not need biometrics, but i noticed at the bottom of my application it was received the same day i submitted my application June 23

Please what’s her moniker, we all no each other here by there monikers. Also house please one of us here is in need of our help and we need to look for a way to come through for her. She contacted a fellow Nairalander here to help with payment for her fees. Long story short she says anty [/b]chidiebere Amaka[b] is in possession of her CAD1500 and refused to refund and gone ahead to block her. What’s the best way we can help. Should she report this to the Canadian embassy since our dear anty has decided to go rogue? Canada no be Nigeria.. I know the embassy would have her details and can take necessary actions.

No update yet. Still showing medicals not received. The wait is killing so even though I have AIP and received medical request (though did upfront medicals) I just want to know what my notes are saying so applied about an hour ago

Once biometrics is done, you will get a mail from IRCC that same day latest the next day notifying you that your biometrics has been received and processing of your application has resumed for the second and final stage if you have gotten an AIP(Approval in princple) and done your medicals. If you havent , your application is still being processed. As for timeline of wen you will get passport requests, back den in a week or 4days later but now, takes time.

Please for those who have given their biometrics, done medicals and received AIP any idea when the second stage and final stage will roll in.

Please IOM is demanding payment should be made 2-3 days before appointment, please those that made use of IOM for medicals did you go through same procedure.

Please gurus in the house, the police certificate i used for my first application is no longer valid because its past three month. So my question is can i reapply without the certificate?
