This is a good one,Can this still work for a sinner or for only those that are born again.
That's a good question. I cannot guarantee it will work for someone deliberately sinning, but will work for someone trying his best to pull away from sin and the kingdom of darkness. It is God who protects through the Bible text, and He knows the intent of heart of everyone.

I learnt this from my own personal experience and I now sleep like a baby most especially when I sleep with Revelation 12:11 open.

The kingdom of darkness is real and Jesus is up to the task to deliver us all. Amen

Now, this is practical. I have been getting some prompting to share this and I know it will be useful to many. It has to do with overcoming nightmares which many of us face, but sometimes too shy to share our experiences. It’s not a big deal to face nightmare; everyone has faced it at once point in their life or the other.

Nightmare has been attributed to several causes but from my experience and how I personally overcame, nightmares is a situation where the unseen world tries to interfere with the physical world at night; demons disturbing people while they sleep.

The disturbance most times comes when you’re on the Lord’s side and working for God. If you don’t get the disturbance, it is either you have overcome, or you are walking with the devil and still living actively in sin; so, Satan and his demons will find no need to disturb.

The Holy Bible is one book that is being overlooked by many. Probably you reading this have yours idle covered with dust on your shelve right now. But I tell you the truth, the Bible is a supernatural book that can solve all problems of the world including nightmares.

Sleeping with your Holy Bible with specific chapters open can help you overcome nightmares and ugly dreams. From my experience, the chapter or verse you open will determine how your dream will look like.

For example, sleeping with Ephesians 6:11-12 open, “ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places .

This has to do with putting on the armour of God to wrestle with the devil. Armour is a protective covering you put on during war to fight. What this means is that if you sleep with the above verse open, you are willing to receive attacks in the dream but on thing is sure that you will overcome because it’s God own protective covering which Satan and his minions can’t overcome.

Another example is Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Sleeping with the above verse open guarantees a sweet night rest without any disturbance because Satan and his demons can’t withstand the blood of Jesus. It is the same blood that was shed on the cross of Calvary that wipes away all sins and overcome death.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you” (John 15:12).

We have being called to have the heart of love as Christians. To love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:39). Christ exemplified this love when He lay down His own life for the sins of the whole world (John 15:13). Without the death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary, man would have been eternally lost forever.

God love man so much that He sent His only begotten son to die for man because it is not the will of God for any man to perish but all should come to the knowledge of the truth through Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:9).

We are to love just the same way God the Father love us by sending His Son Jesus to die for us. We are to love God Himself with all our mind and heart (Matthew 22:37).

Love here does not only imply loving our loved ones alone, but loving everyone as Christ loved us. It does not only involve loving our children but loving every other children that doesn’t even belong to us.

Love involves forgiving one another when we have been wronged by someone. We are all sinners (Romans 3:23) and have offended God with our sins but yet God loves us and sent His only begotten son to die for us (Romans 5:8 ). He is even still faithful and just to forgive our sins (1 John 1:9). When wronged, we should easily forgive so that our prayers will not be hindered (Mark 11:25).

All things always work together for good for them that love both God and man (Romans 8:28). This love is not exemplified only by words but by actions (Matthew 12:11).

Husbands has been called to love their wives even as Christ also loves us (Ephesians 5:25). They are to love their wives as they love themselves (Ephesians 5:28). Forgiving one another whenever they wrong each other.

If you don’t have the heart of love, you should pray to God to take that stony heart that lacks love from you and give you the heart full of love (Ezekiel 36:26).

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus. I come before you today. Please Lord give me the heart of love to love my neighbors because without your love you have for me, you would not have sent your Son to die for me on the cross. Take away every heart of hatred from me and give me the heart of love. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.

The Ugliest Scene I Have Ever Come Across

Religion / Jesus Is The Light Of The World by FaithfulServant(m): 3:35pm On Jan 12, 2018
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).

Jesus is the light of the world. It is dangerous to move around this world without light because anyone who does so is exposed to dangerous things like snake bites and other harmful things. So also a man without Christ is exposed to the dangers of the world. He is a puppet of the devil easily controlled by him.

Are you yet to give your life to Christ? If the answer is yes, know within your heart that you are walking in darkness and you know how dangerous that is. You have the chance to turn from darkness and embrace the light—Jesus. There is no amount of sin which you might have committed that Jesus cannot forgive because He is faithful and just to forgive your past sins (1 John 1:9).

Just the same way the sun light sustain life on earth, so also Jesus who is the light of the world sustain the world with life (John 1:4). Jesus is not only the light of the world, but the only one through whom one can obtain real life. Just the same way the sun gives energy, so also those who have Jesus and live in His light are never weary or slothful but fervent serving the Lord (Romans 12:11).

Turn to Jesus my dear friends because without the light of the Christ in your life, you cannot live a fulfilled life here on earth nor spend eternity with God in heaven. Jesus is with open hands willing to embrace and receive you back (Matthew 11:28).

Jesus also refer His followers as the light of the world, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid” (Matthew 5:14). That means the followers of Christ are to reflect the light of Christ to others when He had gone. They are to be like Christ in holiness and righteousness, so that many will turn from their sinful ways and seek the Lord. Leave darkness today and embrace the light of Christ (Matthew 3:2).

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, your word has said that you are the light of the world. I want your light in my life Oh God, and I pray that your light shine forth in my life and in the life of my family. Any darkness in my life, I pray your light overshadow it and may your light be permanently indwelt in me that no darkness will comprehend in Jesus name. Amen.

Biblical Discovery

Giving thanks to God for what we already have can multiply the little which we have already got.

Notice in Matthew 15:36, “And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude”.

Jesus didn’t pray. He only gave thanks and with that He was able to feed the multitude.

Give God thanks always. Don’t complain, don’t murmur (Philippians 2:14) , Just give thanks and God will bless you abundantly.

My God is Doing a Great Job

For God is moving stealthily unnoticed redeeming and saving His people He created from the beginning (Genesis 2:7). But it appears from the outer look that everyone is going to hell as some has concluded with this saying already, but God who is truly an invincible God and whose steps and moves no one can notice or trace is the doing a great work (Ecclesiastes 11:5).

For there will come a time when that old dragon—Satan (Revelation 12:9) and all his agents of darkness will be thrown into the eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:10; Revelation 20:15) and they will stretch their hands front and back searching for the crowd they gathered and shall find none (2 Peter 3:9) and regretfully will cry out, “this is the end of the road for us, for we all laboured in vain”.

Believing in Jesus and obtaining forgiveness is the principal thing (John 3:16). As many who has done it even at the point of their death are with the Lord presently. For those who still refuse at the point of death even if offered the chance to believe, it is their own fault.
Religion / Be Careful With Your Actions by FaithfulServant(m): 8:22pm On Jan 10, 2018
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14).

The Holy Scriptures has admonished us to be careful with our words and actions. Some say “it is a free world” and they are to do whatever they like, but I tell you the truth, the world is not totally free because all our words and actions will be brought to judgment on the day of judgment (Matthew 12:36).

Do you serve the Lord in hypocrisy and you feel no one knows? The Lord knows, and judgment awaits all hypocrites. Turn away from your hypocrisy and begin to serve the Lord in spirit and in truth (Matthew 6:5). It is never too late to start all over but if you choose to continue that way, when you die in that state, we will all cry for you.

Remain holy because without holiness no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). If holiness is not yet found in your life, turn away from all unrighteousness and embrace that which is good because everything is being taken record of and will surely be brought to book (Romans 6:13).

Be honest because God hate dishonesty and lying lips are abomination to the Lord, but they that are honest are His delight (Proverbs 12:22). In honesty, confess all your sins to God (Romans 10:10) and make restitution of all your wrong doing and you will be granted pardon by the Lord (2 Chronicles 7:14). Be honest also in your work place. Don’t take bribe because it’s not acceptable by the Lord.

Flee from all youthful lust, whether sexual lust or lust for material gain and pleasure (2 Timothy 2:22). Flee the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). Be mindful of what you watch with your eyes. As Jesus Christ our Lord rightly said that the eyes is the light of the body and if the eyes is full of light, the whole body shall be filled with light also (Matthew 6:22).

Serve God with a pure heart free from all unrighteousness and without hypocrisy as earlier stated, and in due time, you will reap the reward (Matthew 5:8 ) .

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gift of life. I plead Oh God that you give me the heart (Ezekiel 36:26) and mind to serve you in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and any act of hypocrisy in my journey to your kingdom, Lord I pray you take it away. In Jesus name. Amen.

Religion / Persistence Is Key In Your Christian Race by FaithfulServant(m): 2:47pm On Jan 09, 2018
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14).

Persistency is continuing to do something or trying to do something even though it is difficult. The Christian journey is a race, and the target finishing line for all Christians is to get to the kingdom of God after this present life. In race energy is exerted, and the runner may sometimes feel within himself to give up, while some eventually give up before they get to the finish line.

We give up on our Christian race because we don’t know the prize that lies in front of us for those who strive not to be tired and do all their best to get to the finish line. In your Christian race you have to be persistent. Nothing good they say comes easy. You will be ridiculed by many along the line, but Christ has admonished us to be of good cheer when men revile us and say all manner of things against us falsely for His sake (Matthew 5:11-12).

In our text, apostle Paul pressed on toward the mark for the prize, which is to inherit the kingdom of God (Philippians 3:14). To “press on” means to keep on doing something even though it may seem difficult and at the end of the race, He was able to say, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Apostle Paul was able to finish his Christian race on a bright note because he was persistent. It wasn’t a bed of roses for him. Faced trials numerous times, imprisoned several times, scourged and flogged, but yet his attention was still on the finish line.

Be persistent in all areas of your Christian life. Whether in prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17), study of the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15), fellowship with other brethren (Hebrews 10:25), fasting and other aspects of your Christian life, and in due time, you will yield the benefit and reward (Revelation 22:12). Be persistent in your prayer life. This is the area many don’t get it right. Prayer is very important in your Christian journey (Ephesians 6:18) and one week without prayer in your Christian journey may attract danger from the camp of the enemy (1 Peter 5:8 ). Keep on striving and I pray the Lord will give the strength to finish your Christian race till the very end.

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, you rightly said in your word that I can do nothing with you (John 15:5). So therefore Lord, I pray you give me the strength to continue my Christian race without getting tired or giving up, so that at the end of the my course, I will be able to see you in your kingdom and live eternally with you forever and ever. Amen.

Life in the womb is a preparatory life, life in at birth is an introductory life, while the real life begins when we become born again by the grace through Christ (John 3:3). For this reason, Jesus made no mistake when He said He is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25).
Religion / God’s Plan For Your Life Is Beyond Your Expectation by FaithfulServant(m): 11:50am On Jan 08, 2018
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Do you love the Lord? (Mark 12:30) If the answer is no, pray to God to give you the heart to love Him because according to our text, God has great things in stock for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). One of the major ways to show your love for God is by obedience to His commands and keeping His commandments (John 14:15). Keeping the commandments of the God is the whole duty of man, “…Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

As said by the Lord and written in the word, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11). The end the Lord has promised to give you is beyond your expectations. No matter the delay you may be facing, that expected end will surely come because what the Lord says you will be, that you will surely be and destiny can only be delayed but can never be denied.

Never doubt the Lord promises concerning your life even if there are difficulties, problems or delays along the way. He is the Lord and whatever He speak surely comes to pass (Lamentations 3:37). Wait on the Lord and don’t lose your patience with Him because He works in mysterious ways that the human mind cannot comprehend.

Don’t because of your quest for mundane things and pleasure miss the spiritual and heavenly riches the Lord has in stock for you. As Jesus has instructed us to labour for heavenly blessings that perish not and not for earthly things that loses it value and perish too soon (Matthew 6:19-20) .

You can only claim your blessing God desire for you when you turn from your sinful ways and move towards God. God has nothing to do with unrighteousness because He Himself is a righteous God and thus, the blessings He has for you may not come into reality if you continue in your sinful ways. Repent therefore, confess your sins to obtain pardon from the Lord (Romans 10:10).

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for your promises concerning my life and future (Jeremiah 29:11). Lord God I plead that you give me the heart to love you because the promise of an expected end is for those who love you (1 Corinthians 2:9). Help me turn away from unrighteousness and live a life that is pleasing to you so that you will fulfill all your promises concerning my life in Jesus name. Amen.

Religion / Faith In Jesus Can Transform Your Life by FaithfulServant(m): 6:13pm On Jan 07, 2018
“For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole” (Matthew 9:21).

Faith in Jesus is having the conviction that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the full assurance that He can deliver you from any problem you face. The just, as it is written, shall live by faith in Christ (Galatians 3:11).

We have been called to put our faith in Jesus (Galatians 3:26). A life that as been given to Christ will begin to see instant transformation. But before the transformation can begin, you have to make a decision within your heart to change (Romans 12:2). Change is the ideal agent that can bring transformation in our lives through Jesus.

Faith in Jesus will not only transform your life, but will bring restoration. All that you’ve lost will be restored because the Son of Man came to save that which was lost (Matthew 18:11). Is your life in disarray and you don’t know where to start from? Is your health waning? Don’t let your heart be troubled my dear friend (John 14:1) because for this cause God sent forth His only begotten Son Jesus to be crucified on the cross of Calvary (John 3:16). He Himself bore our infirmities and health issues on the cross of Calvary and by His stripes we are healed (Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).

Before the transforming and restoring power of Christ death and resurrection can come upon your life, you have to turn away from your wicked ways and embrace that which is good (2 Chronicles 7:14). Repent ye therefore if you are still living in sin. Don’t you know that your body is the house of God, and so therefore, shouldn’t be defiled with sin? (1 Corinthians 6:19)

In our text, the woman with the issue of blood had faith in Jesus (Matthew 9:21). She must have been hearing of the marvelous works Jesus was doing and by faith, she touched the hem of Jesus garment and made whole (Matthew 9:22). That is what faith in Christ can do. You have to first believe that Christ can solve your problems. Do you notice Jesus always telling some individuals that it is their faith in Him that made them well? (Mark 10:52; Luke 8:48) Faith in Jesus will not only bring transformation and restoration, but can also bring total healing to your life in general. Seek Jesus today (Matthew 11:28).

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I come before you today. I believe you died on the cross for my sins and without your death, there would have been no hope for me. My Lord God help my unbelief and forgive my lack of faith in you. Give me a strong faith in you that is without wavering (James 1:6) so that I will have full assurance of all your promises concerning my life in Jesus name. Amen.

Religion / Develop Your Passion For Prayer by FaithfulServant(m): 7:11pm On Jan 06, 2018
“Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Prayer is the act of communicating with God. God wants us to pray that His will in heaven will be done on earth (Matthew 6:10), but on the other hand, Satan the enemy does not want us to pray and neither does he want to see our prayers answered by God.

Do you find it easier to communicate with your friends than to communicate with God? This is because your passion for prayer is still very low, and you have not learned how to wrestle with Satan who inflict us with weakness so that we will not be able pray.

Prayer is a spiritual warfare (2 Corinthians 10:4) against the camp of the enemy and the moment you set your knees and heart to pray, Satan and his minions also set to wage war against your prayer so that it will not be answered by God (Daniel 10:12-13) .

There are agents of darkness in high places (Ephesians 6:12) before the kingdom of the God—the third Heaven (2 Corinthians 12:2). They are there to block the communication between God and man. Before your passion for prayer can develop and your prayers answered, you need to learn how to wrestle and defeat Satan and his agents before you can find it easy to pray.

Jesus said, “No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house” (Mark 3:27). Satan is the strongman that needs to be bound in prayers before our prayers can be answered. To “bound” means to tie up like a thief (John 10:10) and it is written that whatsoever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever we loose on earth shall be loose in heaven (Matthew 18:18). By prayer bound Satan up and frighten him with his eternal and eventual doom in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10) and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Just like every other form of development, developing your passion for prayer will take time. You have to continually give yourself to prayer (Acts 6:4; Romans 12:12). Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and don’t go on a spiritual vacation. Ceasing to pray means you are indirectly telling God that you can now do things on your own when Jesus Christ stated categorically that we can do nothing by our own self without Him (John 15:5) . Practice they say makes perfect, and as your practice how to pray, the Lord will grant you the strength to pray without much stress.

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I come before you today. I cannot pray. Just the same way you taught your disciples how to pray in Luke 11, teach me how to pray dear Lord. Any form of weakness during prayers (Romans 8:26), I earnestly entreat that you take it away and grant me the strength to pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Open the door of your heart so that He can come in, and when He does, your life will not remain the same (Revelation 3:20).
Religion / You Can Do The Impossible If You Believe by FaithfulServant(m): 3:37pm On Jan 05, 2018
“And Jesus said unto them… If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20).

The antidote for doubt is faith. Satan never wants to see our faith, but love to cloud our mind with his lies that can bring doubt. He is the father of lies (John 8:44) who doesn’t only bring doubt to our mind but fear also, but God has not given us the spirit of bondage to fear but the spirit to have a sound mind (Romans 8:15). He [Satan] takes faith from us and replace it with doubt so that we will not serve God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Don’t give him any room for that.

Are you about to make a move in your spiritual life or career and your mind is clouded with unbelief that you can not make it? Probably you have been discouraged by family and friends that you will not be able to make it because of past incidences. Remember, Jesus said if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed you can do all things (Matthew 17:20).

Unbelief limits us to what we can do through Jesus Christ. In our text, when the disciples asked Jesus why they could not cast out the demon from the lunatic (Matthew 17:19), Jesus replied and said, “because of your unbelief…”(Matthew 17:20). Never allow unbelief to cloud your mind at any given point in time, but by faith, tell any mountain of doubt to be removed and it will be so because Jesus said greater works than He did we will do if we believe (John 14:12).

The quickest way to remove every mountain of doubt in your life is by prayer. Prayer is the invincible missile that destroys all works of Satan including doubt. As it is written, “ All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive (Matthew 21:22). Ask from God in prayer that He should give you the mind never to doubt His promises concerning your life and believe that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Matthew 21:22).

Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, I praise your holy name. Breathe on me the faith that unbelief and doubt will find no place in my life. Give me the grace to have a strong faith in your Son Jesus who came to the world to die for my sins (John 3:16) . Help my unbelief Oh God (Mark 9:24), and any doubt concerning your promises presently in my life, I pray this day that you take it away in the name of Jesus. Amen.
