MAYOWAAK: .......Our promptness in disbanding SARS was misconstrued as weakness........ It wasn't the promptness in "disbanding" it, it was the rush to create SWAT when Nigeria already had a SWAT division in place for at least the last 7 years. SARS has been disbanded every year for the last 5 years. |

Oba of Lagos palace is burnt down while nothing happened to Obi of onitsha palace. Yoruba open your eyes. Guy this post is so senseless I don't even know how to tackle your stupidity. |
Crime › Re: Armed Robbers Came To My Compound Last Night In Benin City by Farki: 6:07pm On Oct 21, 2020 |
olumide4christ: As usual, you skipped the fact that Sanwo-Olu met with the protesters on many occasions at the protest venues at Lekki and Alausa ànd encouraged them to give the government time to work at meeting their demands while asking them to return home meanwhile. What else do you want him to do? But of course, nothing he ever does will please those who are never on his side. Ok how does that justify shooting people and trying to cover it up? Or his many conflicting statements? Any good will he earned has been destroyed by his words and actions both today and yesterday. The first thing would have been to prevent any violent attacks on the protesters knowing that it would only lead to more violence. Then say the truth about what is happening, don't be telling us lies or dancing around the truth. You can't tell me he didn't know about the removal of cameras at the tollgates or that nobody died or that he is not privy to the movements of military formations in his state. The only good thing he has done is to counter the army's fake report that soldiers were not at the tollgates because that one is impossible for them to dispute. |
Crime › Re: Armed Robbers Came To My Compound Last Night In Benin City by Farki: 5:09pm On Oct 21, 2020 |
olumide4christ: Always be civil when talking to people or responding to comments online or offline. I don't speak with emotions or bias...I speak with a clear mind devoid of any bias. Comparing Lagos situation with Ibadan is like comparing apples with oranges.
I hope that when your children and/or their friends come into your house or business place and start destroying things, preventing visitors or customers from coming in to see you or do business with you, you will fold your hands and let them continue simply because they are children.
Continue...I know the average Nigerian always sees things from their own perspective and never from the perspective of others! I will always call a spade a spade and you are truthfully talking ignorantly. Before the massacre at the tollgate was the violence this bad? Yes there were attacks on police stations but there were attacks in Ibadan as well. Now while governor Makinde addressed the people, promising to restore peace while protecting legitimate protesters governor Sanwo - Olu gave conflicting information about curfew times, watched silently as the LCC removed cameras, people were shot in your state you say you don't know what's happening, lie that nobody died there, say you aren't in control of the army but the same army is in Oyo state working with governor Makinde. From what perspective do you want me to see this from? The ongoing riots are targeting government establishments because they have lost all confidence in the state's ability to govern. Is the violence in Oyo this bad? All this could have been prevented if those people at the tollgate weren't killed. Two things are at play here either Sanwo - Olu is impotent and can not control things in the state or worse the Lagos State government arranged the slaughter of his own citizens under his direction. |

olumide4christ: What do you expect them to do? Their esteemed and unarmed colleagues, the RRS, were attacked in their vehicle 2 days ago at Yaba, Lagos. I'm sure you saw the video. Do you want them to come out to attend to a distress call and if someone dies, the protesters and their supporters will begin to peddle propaganda and start calling the international community to intervene, like they did last night? They will not ooo...I will not if I were in their shoes. The protesters and their supporters asked for this kind of situation and they will get in full. E just start!
Two wrongs don't make a right... NEVER! Nonsense talk, look at how Governor Makinde handled the situation in Oyo and compare it to the rubbish happening in Lagos. |

Xchristain: For those asking why soilders are deployed to protest grounds, well here's your answer.
The police just can't handle these violent protesters who use this opportunity to perpetuate criminal acts.
If soilders appear and start target practicing, we'll call it a massacre abi? You are a complete fool, they didn't send them to shoot at Surulere or Orile, they didn't send them to Edo to chase after prisoners and shoot them, they sent them to Lekki tollgate where the people were sitting on the road, waving the flag and singing the national anthem. They did not fight anybody yet they shot them to protect their Master's interests. |

SilverNorGold: The military must enforce Law and Order... They've even tried. They never interfered in the protest until protesters began looting and burning government properties, including police stations; raping girls, releasing criminals from jail, and engaging in all manner of atrocities..
Yet some are still questioning the military for taking this noble action?
Well, I am very sure, that by now, all law-abiding protesters are off the streets. Therefore, any hoodlum caught by the men in khaki should be dealt with ruthlessly.
Nigeria is not a banana republic.
Nigeria must better. Honestly guy fůck you for typing this nonsense, the soldiers didn't go to Surulere, or Edo they went to Lekki of all places. LCC took down the CCTV and lights so they can kill with impunity. They even brought brand new APCs to do it, something their brothers up north will never see. They deserve what they get after this. |

Just like how hoodlums are destroying property and killing people the blame will be cast on the protesters and the government will use it as an excuse to kill the movement. The main focus has always been ENDSARS and police reform. |

Politics › Re: #endsars: Soldiers Deployed To Lagos Airport by Farki: 1:42pm On Oct 20, 2020 |
BlackfireX: I don't understand, expanciate.. Nigeria is in a crisis situation with civil unrest everywhere, some might say it's on the brink of another civil war but that's not the main issue. With the recent attacks on police stations and escape of prisoners the military would try as much as possible to ensure the personnel in the barracks and more importantly their weapons are kept safe. You don't need to imagine what would happen if a group of miscreants or terrorists got access to a Nigerian bomber or accidentally set the weapons off. See if you look through my profile you will know I'm not a fan of the military but this isn't a case of abuse of power or taking up other unwarranted duties so let's not be finding fault where there is none. |

As I am talking to you now In Ibadan.. Benjamin+ Eleyele junction+ Ologuneru + Gbopa is blocked.. How will that common man you are fighting for go home, pick his child from the school, or go to hospital ...
I thought it will be to occupy all national and state house of assembly, President and governors office ... This is right next to their base, it's normal procedure for a situation like this. |
