Mikecold: All this is coming because we can't speak with one voice in this country (maybe cos we aren't victim yet).
This particular narrative that ending sars would increase crime is the narrative that was gifted to the police by some coward youth themselves.
The police is currently fitting excuses so as to come up with a worthless reform on paper like the one given to naira marley
Our myopic youths fail to realize that nothing about Nigeria reform is done moderately, if it is bad it becomes extremely bad.
Tomorrow nobody would be taken serious if they complain again because the so called reform has taken effect
We should realize that this sars issue is a massive killing/control tool of youths in the south, killings and provocation by sars isn't happening in the north which is soaked with banditry, armunition, drugs, and the same cyber crime.
Efcc should be the ones investigating cyber crimes and they do so after "report and evidence".
I don't support hardened criminals, the police should deploy an effective means but must end sars because it can't control it nor restrict it after all the extortion sars have been exposed to.
I can conclude that just like osinbajo gave a weightless reform of sars the last time, it would be the same again because the same victims are clamouring for "sars reform" that would never work Even still most of the people clamouring for reform have no plan on what the proposed reform will be. A lot of the people against the protests also tend to be government sympathisers who are trying to shift the narrative to blaming the youth and not killers in uniform. |

6 The IGP has directed that personnel of FSARS and other tactical squads concentrate and respond only to cases of armed robbery, kidnapping and other violent crimes when the need arises. See this, this point right here is the most important aspect of this argument. If they could stick to this, their main function, there would be no EndSARS protests. 8 The IGP warned that henceforth, the CP in charge of FSARS, CPs in charge of State Commands and FCT as well as their supervisory Zonal AIGs will be held liable for misconduct of personnel of FSARS and others within their jurisdiction. Another huge point that shows just how glaring the rot of our society is, is that this isn't the norm already. This should be the default response to large scale misconduct especially in an organisation as important as the police force. I don't know why a nationwide protest was what prompted grown adults in places of responsibility to do their jobs. Honestly speaking I am really starting to think we were not ready for independence if we keep behaving like kids. |

These are all good pieces of advice but this should also be said :
- Dress neatly and appropriately - Maintain good personal hygiene - Read the room and know when it is appropriate to ask - Then go up to her, just lay it bare that you would like to get in contact, if she agrees OK if not then move on you have done no wrong. |

nwaezeemmanuel: 4. ASKING BEFORE GETTING TO KNOW HER
Probably the most important point here, disbelief whatever jargons you may have seen in movies.
Not every woman just hands you her number on your first 'ask'.
Many are usually startled, shocked or surprised when approached and asked for their digits - in some settings, this may be considered rude.
It is easier when there is some form of familiarity at the beginning. I can understand the rest but this one I do not agree with. See I can get busy at times and if I ask for a girl's number or offer mine upon first meeting it's so we can arrange a meeting later. If she doesn't want that I take it as a sign that she isn’t interested and move on. If a woman is really interested in a man this won't matter. |

Solatium: You don't say because an institution has derailed from it's primary assignment you then call for it's abolition. NEPA has never served it's purpose before you were born, are you calling for Total scrap of the system? .
There is no where in the whole world where police are 100% loved by people,so you need to keep talking and getting issues resolve. You also have your own personal dilemma do you kill yourself or you stab your divided heart? NEPA has already been scrapped, it was turned to PHCN then completely privatised. If solar panels and inverter batteries weren't so weak I would never pay electricity companies a dime. Concerning your second paragraph I'm really sorry to say this but you seem out of touch. No civilised country will tolerate the excesses of SARS but because we are here in Africa, where life isn't valued, we have somehow normalised this insanity. Can you tell me any civilised place where stories like this are normal? https://www.nairaland.com/5581400/off-duty-soldier-bitter-encounter-sars |

Solatium: The same arm of police you are calling for it's abolishment were the ones who did the job at last,Not any of you carrying placards and burning tires. Which goes back to same thing I said. REFORM THE POLICE/SARS So when we see injustice we should just keep quiet? When people have to resort to mob action to keep themselves safe are the police really doing their jobs? The call to end SARS is years old, it's not today they started misbehaving, but nothing happened because nobody was protesting. Yes the police (and really the whole country) needs to be reformed but the Special Anti Robbery Squad as it exists currently is full of criminal elements and has abandoned it's main purpose. I feel people are just shouting reform so they can just bury the issue. |

Fuckingmallam45: Wait till they end SARS, then you will see the drastic effect of the kidnapping & banditry you were insinuating. It has been said that “ We don’t know the value of what we have until we eventually lose them “. Many people are already seeing the effect with SARS as it is. That's why an entire region had to create Amotekun because what concerns SARS with all of that? Their own job is to be chasing people with iPhone and dreadlocks. |

Solatium: One of the reasons why armed robbery has drastically reduced in some part of Nigeria today is because of SARS past and present efforts. Though those guy's have grown wings, but reformation and close monitoring is what we all want NO END SARS Where were SARS during the time of one million boys? What about the rampant kidnapping and banditry going on in the country? |

KGREAT: She is right if you look at it from one angle..... from what I have seen personal in Ugheli, majority of those yahoo boys falls within the age group of 18 and 25years. The issue with SARS is that "yahoo boys" and Internet fraudsters aren't armed robbers. That falls to the EFCC to handle. The whole yahoo narrative is a convenient excuse for them to profile people who look "out of place" and extort them. They don't even hand these so called yahoo boys over, only collect money, kidnap innocent people, search through their devices and rob them. |

CHoccolaTE: Nairaland men are just misogynistic and hate women, the truth is that in a lot of cases even the father of a girl cannot be trusted with her alone, I didn't say all cases, I said some cases but to be on the safe side time alone with between fathers and daughters should be minimized to only when extremely necessary. This view is ridiculous because women still assault and kill their kids or other people's children. You guys use cases like this to make incendiary and sexist statements and when people call you out you label them misogynistic. |

Op, ur translation of No_ 4,5 and 6 are wrong. Plus your Title..
The title should be: List Of "Unislamic Things' Banned By Hisbah In Yauri LG. of Kebbi State
I was born at Katsina, any Hausa that know English WILL TRANSLATE IT AS:
4. -(applies to girls, to minimize rape) Staying out late past 6 pm in the market to sell goods.
5. -Carrying of two women on a motorcycle without concrete reason.
6. -Use of curved plates and bowls for measuring food stuff. (eg. corn, grain etc... because the amount of corn is reduced if such bowls are used)
Thnks Thanks for explaining, after reading 4 and 5 I really fear for women who live in such areas. |

Joshmodest: Hypocrisy is when you legalize cigarette that kills like a sniper and ban marijuana that necessarily may not kill at all when taken moderately ..... And the real hypocrisy is when weed smoking officers , smoke weed in the morning , then go to a bush to burn weed in the afternoon !!! Funny thing is cannabis is not deadly on it's own. The reason it was demonised is because of the Nixon/Reagan era war on drugs as a way to clamp down on political dissidents and racial minorities. |
