Introduction
Immodest dresses are designed to cause men to lust and to draw attention to the body. The way you dress reveals your mindset. It is easier to take a stance against murder, rape, cheating etc, but it is harder to take a stance against the evils majority have come to accept. Evils like immodest dressing, ignoring the flaws of celebrities (celebrity worship) etc. This is because you risk being rejected and mocked by majority. But mind you, no political party, celebrity etc should be given allegiance that is due to God alone. If you fail to stand against evil in public/private places, you are directly rejecting Christ. True Christians are supposed to be Christ’s ambassadors on earth. Below are 6 reasons why a heavenly conscious girl/lady must not dress immodestly.

1. God want men to control their thought: Matt 5:27-29 - “You have heard that it was said by them of old time, you shall not commit adultery: 28. But I say unto you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.” How does it concern you? Read on.

2. God don’t want you to cause others to sin, if you disobey, there are consequences: Matt 18:6-8 “If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble (sin), it will be better for them to have a large millstone hung round their neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. 7. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble, such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come! 8. For if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away…”

When you lead men to sin against God by the way you dress (or by any other means), there are severe consequences involve. So you can’t just say that it doesn’t concern you.

3. God wants true Christians to dress modestly: 1 Tim 2:9-10 “I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10. But with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.”

4. Your body belongs to God and you must use it for His glory, not as an object of lust: Rom 12:1 “ I beseech you therefore, brethren, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. 2. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

5. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem: Matt 12:30 “He that is not with me is against me; and he that does not gather with me scatters.” Ask yourself: “If I dress immodestly, how do I help gather people to Christ?” When men look at you, they should be seeing Christ in you, not your exposed body.

6. Why will some people still insist that nothing is wrong with immodest dressing? Some people will label black as white and evil as good. Some people even regard immodest dressing as modest. When you believe that an evil is good, it eventually appear to be good in your eyes. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 “…They perish because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved. 11. For this reason God send them a powerful delusion to believe a lie 12. And so that all will be condemned who have not believe the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” It is a well-known fact that immodesty lead men to sin. Therefore immodesty is a great wickedness.

What Really is Modest Dressing?
If you have a clean heart, you’ll agree with me that a modest dress will meet the following requirements:

1. Not too tight: In case you don’t know, prostitutes wear tight fitting clothes to reveal their shape and attract customers. But it is very unfortunate that most ‘christian ladies’ are doing the same.

2. It doesn’t expose your unclothedness: [/b]unclothedness here include your thighs, breast, stomach etc. A modest skirt goes down below the knees such that even when you sit or bend to sweep, your thighs won’t be exposed. A modest top doesn’t expose your stomach, ampit or cleavage, even when you raise your hands up in worship.

[b]Conclusion
Do you condemn fornication but approve all those emotions and behaviors that lead to fornication (indecent dressing, kissing, pecking, hugging, handling etc)? If yes, how are you different from the Pharisees who will condemn murder but ignore anger that leads to murder (Matt 5:21-26)?

How do we take a stand against immodesty? The same way we take a stand against rape, child abuse, ungodliness and theft. Shun immodesty and ungodly fashion (2 Cor. 6:14). Expose and rebuke immodesty. Eph 5:11-13 – “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.”

You will dress modestly if your heart is inclined towards God. You will dress immodestly when your heart is inclined towards self. You’ll do this with little or no regard for the consequencies to yourself or others.

Note: Immodesty is not the only sin that can lead you to hell. By constantly STUDYING the bible, you’ll renew your mind and discover the will of God for your life (Rom 12:2). The conclusion of the whole matter is repentance. Make up your mind to repent from all your evil ways and follow Christ.

That can't contain 100 birds. Management will also be cumbersome.

I noticed that the protein content in Hybrid feeds are more than that of Amobyn and Top feeds.......but why is top feed still costlier than hybrid when it is the protein that the chicks need to grow?

A lot of factors is involve. They may have different production cost. Protein quality might differ and so on. It's now left for u to test the 2 feed on say, 6 birds each and find out which one is better. I'm currently doing a similar experiment with my feed and top feed.

In addition to all these, you can also add 98% feed-grade vitamin C ( 250g to 500g/ton of feed) to their feed provided you compound feed by yourself.

Some plants ( like Citrus sp ) tend to produce a different variety when you plant from seeds.



Momma planted the seed of a sweet orange and about 15 years ago and we got bitter orange

Never thought that was possible till recently.

There are many advantages of Marcotting which include:


Exact replica of parent plants: You get exact copy of the parent plant. This is better than planting from seeds which may produce new, different, undesirable species.


Fast fruiting time: Unlike planting from seeds, which may take many years, a marcotted plant will definitely take a shorter time to fruit...

Just want to add that growing trees from seed will give u a healthy plantation that will yield more and last longer. Other means may give u fast result but if u want sth that last long, start from the seed.

Marcoting is a good idea though, esp for plants with short life.

Add ice block to water, esp in the afternoon when the water will be warm. Birds don't like warm water. Give antistress drugs and give lasota every 3wks.

well it could be gumboro... who knows, but I heard of the vaccine for gumboro fails it wipes out the entire birds. they started dying right from the first week. I got a carton, I have 15left. I had to bring them out of the pen and let them free range. I was out of options and in doing that those 15 survived.

Birds can't just die like that without a reason. I'll advise u to seriously review ur management practices. There are sth u may take for granted but it really matters. Get another batch of about 12 and try again. It is always better to start small and learn from ur mistake.

Not always so since people will always tell u how hot half-naked celebrities look. Our generation is filled with lust and yet they call on God as if God is with them. God doesn't support u showing off ur unclothedness. You cause others to sin and God can NEVER be happy with such a person.

I got some broilers from zartech recently and the death rate was something else. I followed the same process I did with the ones I got from chivita, but I still lost alot, they weren't eating much, wasting the food, and now at a month old they have almost no weight and are still dying. most of them that died were having difficulty walking. I am thinking Newcastle? although I gave all the vaccines as at when due. I have already written it off as a bad investment but does anyone have any ideas? I still have some left. anything to save these ones at least.

Hard to pinpoint what caused it. I know zartech as a good hatchery. Maybe u made a mistake somewhere. Can u post picture of ur cage and the remaining bird?

Diseases like gumboro can destroy bird' immune system - just like hiv. This can happen without sign of sickness. So I wonder if the culprit is gumboro.

The challenge is that ground tomato is totally alien to most Nigerian housewives. So, unless you have a fair amount of resources to push this new product and convince people to buy, this is probably not a product most small scale Nairaland farmers can rush into.


Besides, in the Nigerian context, there is something about ground dry tomato that will leave me, and I suspect many others, wondering what else is inside that brown polythene bag other than tomato This is Nigeria. People adulterate everything. Nigerians can easily add some funny 'additives' to bulk up the weight.

At least with raw tomatoes, people see and know exactly what they are buying.

Not all ideas are easily transferable to Nigeria. That's not to say this cant work, but, hmmm....


I think this will only catch on if buyers are confident about the providence of the product.

A number of tomato farmers should join resources and try it out. It's for their own good. It's better than selling a basket for N300. Dry tomatoes can last for yrs, so u won't be under pressure to sell off.

Well, how are they now? It's hard to tell what is wrong since I'm not there. There may be something u're not doing right or so. Check ventilation, cleaniness, smoke from land etc. Always try as hard as possible to follow vaccine/medicine plan.

Yes I do. Check the overall mortality, if it is greater than 5% something is wrong. And as for feeding them to fish after roasting, that's not very efficient because some microbes can survive that - like those in the intestine and in the flesh.

You have some point, but when dealing with between 10 to 20 mortality everyday, its a bit of work to defeather and boil. Anyways i dont expect bacteria to survive the heat from burning/roasting, the fluid in the bird is already boiling at that point.

Sincerely, I don't think the purpose of this thread is to answer ridiculous questions or respond to statements about how unhealthy or even poisonous this practice could be. Let those who see the massive opportunity in this idea learn from it.

These arguments remind me of a certain haughty lady at a grocery who was about to buy meat. when the butcher suggested she can buy some cow tongue, she took offense, and said she is above eating anything that comes from inside the mouth of an animal. The butcher then asked her: do you eat eggs? Her reply: of course I do!

Get it? She won't eat something that comes from the mouth of a cow, yet she eats something that comes from the ass of a chicken.

If all these guys haven't still realized that everything we eat comes from a cycle of nature-recycled plants, animal and even human beings, what are they doing in the agriculture section?

I only feed my fishes with the maggot, i have never had problems doing. I even feed them with chicken mortality atimes, i just burn the feathers off the dead birds and throw the slightly roasted chicken in the pond.

A lot of people do it that way. But for me, I'll prefer cooking it first for 2 reasons: to kill dangerous bacteria and to make it more digestible. Most time it is impossible to know whether something is working if u did not try it the other way. And one thing with bacteria and viruses is that they may not strike ur fish immediately until after weeks have passed. They can also slow down growth without u noticing.

Many pigs farmers are also making this mistake. They believed that a pig is a pig and so u can feed them any dirty scrap and get away with it. Farmers like that don't usually succeed bc by the time u go large scale and continue feeding them as before, diseases will soon close down the farm and frustrate u out of the business. I don't joke with dangerous bacteria and viruses. Respect them and u'll go far in agriculture.
