Christians need to no d difference between dealing with issues and dealing with people. Judgement have to do with condemnation, but rebuke is not focused on the person but on what a person has done.

Let's clear out sth here: John 7:24 says "stop judging by mere appearances, but instead JUDGE correctly". This tells u that there are correct and incorrect way to judge. The bible simply want us to judge correctly.

To judge means "to form an opinion about somebody or something, based on the information you have". Therefore, b4 u tell the girl that she's going against God's law, u have already judged her. How? Bc u have already formed an opinion about her action, base on the information you have. And ur judgement is correct.

Point of correction here. The bible is the word of God. The holy spirit inspired people at different times to pen it down. So don't call some of it words of men.

Also, criticism must not always be gentle, otherwise many will never repent. U have to read the bible to see harsh criticism that made people repent, like that of Paul correcting hypocritical Peter etc.

Processing has always been the way to follow, plus proper storage.

Ok, but you have to be careful. Did you calculated space requirement in terms of 5birds/m2? That's the one suitable for hot climates.

It’s been a long time. Here is a summary update:

Mortality so far: 7.1% out of 607 birds. Most were due to diseases, but some were avoidable accidents.

Birds Left: 564

Eggs per day: 16 crates and 15 eggs recently. This is 87.8% laying, though they once reached 89%. Egg production wasn’t constant due to unreliable lighting (not much) and disease signal. Whenever we notice the slightest sign of disease, we give complete dose of a broad spectrum antibiotics (tylodox, conflox, terramyccin etc).

Lasota vaccination: Every 4-6 weeks.

Feed cost from 1-20th week: N113,400 for starter and N267,750 for growers.

Drug cost from 1-20th week: N22,500

Vaccination and Debeaking cost from 1-20th week: N66,774

Vitamin cost from 1-20th week: N13,410

There is no fix rule here. It depends on the area. If you're area has high cases of disease incidence, then use antibiotics to brood.

It's been awesome following this thread all along, thanks guys for the priceless info I've gotten here... I actually did an experiment on broilers and it was an eye opener although not profitable... I wasn't expecting it to be though cos I lost over 50% of them and then sold the remaining one this Xmas period.... So the next thing I intend doing is going into egg production so I'd be hoping to continue to get more info from this thread as time goes on... My first need that I have right now is the list of vaccines and date I'd need to administer to my layers from DOC to pol... I intend stocking 540 birds... Thanks in anticipation

You can estimate how much to feed your birds from the chart here: http://www.farmersjoint.com/blog/livestock-farming/poultry/feed-consumption-plan-body-weight-target-laying-hens/. Did you formulate your own feed? If so you have to make sure it is well balanced.

Might be coryza. Try erythromycin, amoxicillin, keproceryl, tylodox...

The name of the birds is AGRITED.....thats what I used in the first batch and I started selling them by 5 weeks.
For the feeds....im using TOP FEEDS.
Is there any suggestion of boosters to use to make them grow fast and heavy because they are so light and they resemble our native birds which can eat very well but not growing fast....please help

Seems like u didnt treat for coccidiosis. The damage have been done to their intestines. They can no longer assimilate feed efficiently. Give them herbs like pawpaw, bitter, moringa leaves.

Pox dont normally make the birds weak. That is, if it is the dry form - the one that produce boils on their face and comb. The wet form is more dangerous. If they are healthy and shows no sign of respiratory problem, give lasota. But I'll recommend u first give a broad spectrum antibiotics like neoceryl plus, amoxicillin, tylodox or oxytetracyclin. After giving the drug for the recommended days you can give lasota a day after u finish treatment.

Dont use without boiling well. Bacteria in our polluted rivers is sth else. Better to call a tanker to fill ur tank

Excess protein will be excreted and it will increase ammonia pollution. The birds will grow unhealthy.

Snails take long to mature oo. Over 1yr. The challenges u'll likely face is soldier ants and snails escaping. So u'll have to cement the floor and use escape proof pen. Shade them frm sun.

That might be a mechanical injury. Are there other symptoms?

So far as they are healthy, give them the lasota. Waiting for the pox to dry up can take a long time.

@Op, ur post betrayed ur addictn to it. Is heaven not sweeter than that? It is not just about being a virgin, it is about being pure in God's sight. Some Virgins will still go to hell in case u don't know.

Is it fowlpox? Google up some images to confirm. If so and if it is not serious u can leave it or give neoceryl.

I'll advice u by a 100g spring balance for not more than N500. That's what I use rather than assuming and probably over- and under-dosing with teaspoons.

1. give them medicated what for half a day, and then plain water for the other half. e.g i give them medicated water in the morning till evening, then clean water from evening till morning or the other way round.

2. give them medicated water ad-libitum for the entire course of the treatment. e.g medicated water non-stop for 5 days.


i use procedure #1, but i dont know whether it is right. PLEASE I NEED ADVICE thanks.

Read manufacturers instructn. Most drugs I've come across will say adlib.
