@Fatima,thanks but from what I read,if you are on Tier2 dependant as a child or partner you need to live in Uk continuously for 5yrs to qualify for ILR and 12 months after for citizenship.Even if the main applicant has gotten ILR and citizenship, his dependants too must stay for 5 years to be eligible for permanent residence and citizenship too.
Please,I stand to be corrected on this
You are right but If they have been in d UK for 9months for each year u can apply. The rule states must not stay outside the UK for 90 days cumulatively annually

Hi fam, please would like your input on this.If someone who is currently on Tier 2 visa but hopes to apply for ILR next year and citizenship afterwards but has a child who is US citizen before obtaining ILR,if the main applicant after obtaining UK citizenship decides to relocate to another western country and if after some couple of years he wants to come back to Uk,what kind of visa would the child who is US citizen apply for since there has been a break in his Tier2 dependent visa.Is it going to be child visitor visa which can be made in Uk since his US passport can allow the child in UK for max 6 months. Thanks
Why not just include the child once and for all in the citizenship application to save such future occurrence because you will still pay for such visa applications and visitor visa won't allow your child do much

Good day house. Please I'm new
2. Is there a way I can fast track my IHS refund, I learnt it takes 28 days, not sure if its 28 days or 28 working days. Or alternatively, if I can't fast track the IHS refund is there a way to make use of it in my new application without necessarily getting a refund.
Thanks.
1. Yes you can use priority service it usually takes 5 working days unless for exceptional cases or busy period like august/sept (student application) which I don't think urs is because it was just documentation error.

Had a friend that was denied her Tier 2 because she did her TB test in the UK and not Nigeria and she still got it easily

2. It should be 28 working days, however you can not use it for a new application, you have to make a new payment with a new IHS reference number.

I Really think something is fishy from d whole excuse of not being able to rent house to they don't allow couples to live in 1 bed apartment.

Like someone suggested it will be good the person find out more about the person and ur position in the marriage before she even talks about him filing for her.

All the best.

the rates on the websites are always very low. This rates are what the independent money transfer businesses use and they charge a commission of £5 per £100.
.

Ook, thanks, was wondering but with all the charges it will end up on almost the same cost I guess.

Dears,

I had 8.5, 8, 7.5, 6 in my LRSW respectively. Do you think I have a chance with Australia immigration and how can I calculate my scores?

thanks
Page 0 will answer your question. Just follow the links on 189, 190 and 489. However there are so many things involved not just ielts.

This ielts result may be good enough for your assessment authority but again depends on your education, profession, experience and so many other factors.

Your ielts result is quite good but won't fetch you any point towards any of the visa category cos u need 7 each, if it's a recent result, you can ask for remark for that speaking and writing part it could help change d 6 to 7 and above.

Specific and informative question will get answers subsequently.

Please what is the equivalent of the money for EA to the naira?
I used normal Gt naira acct to pay for someone like 2weeks ago and I was charged 283naira per 1 aud. U can check abokifx to make your deductions.

No OTP was even required, which was good and scary at d same time grin

The cost implications are outlined in all the links I added. If you read through, you will find it there.

Meanwhile, there is no POF required for subclass 189. However, for 190 some states require POF like Northern Territory and Queensland, others do not but will want you to declare what you have to support yourself.
U are really trying oo @bellong, people want to migrate without reading and not knowing dey can't survive in such countries without carrying out research about daily activities sef.

Hello fam,

I'm looking to apply for a new driver's license. From my research so far, I'm to apply for a Provisional DL before heading to a driving school.

My question is, after getting the Provisional DL, is there like a set time frame I'm to take the test or can I do that when I feel adequately prepared?

I hear training and test fee nor be here. I can afford them but I don't intend doing it twice.

Also, what app are you people talking about? Abeg make Una let me know make I go download am begin prepare.

Cc: Fatima04, Lexusgs430, Mamatukwas, Imnotconfused
Boss de boss, u want to fire am. grin grin. The provisional license is for 10yrs so u can wait as long as you can. The theory test is 23 pounds and research shows a lot of pple ace this the first time dough it's quite tricky cos of d hazard perception part.

The training fee is the major one, you may need to practise as much as you can and most do charge between 15 to 20 quid per hr.

The practical is 62 pounds so u can budget doing this 3ce to be on the safe side sha.

The app is theory 4 in 1 cost 5pounds. And it's very good for acing the theory part. See d pix

Don't buy the very little ones, they are usually crap and would take forever to inflate your tyres.....

Have a lovely weekend all!

Hope I won't waste money oo angry

Have you discovered d game version to help with road signs and all from that theory app?

Gudmorn, pls wld want to know about working as a doctor in the uk, i already know bout plab 1 and 2 exam, pls wat more can i know and after passing plab 2 how long will it take to get registered and start a residency program or start wrking because plab 2 is only taken in the uk, so will it be possible to come for the exam, wait for d result, complet ur d registration process and start wrking or one has to come bck to naija after d exam, tnks
After d PLAB exam, u can start ur GMC registration while in d UK but still need to wait for d result and some documentation from Nigeria and you won't just be able to practise in d UK straight away even when u pass d PLAB 2.

You can't also switch to a tier 2 visa from visitors while in d UK, so you still have to go back.

You can start a residency programme in d UK once u r settled in, I advise one step a time.

Come for PLAB, Start ur GMC registration look for an approved sponsor and follow all d steps in procuring a visa.

I appreciate @imnotconfused, guess I've to compare and contrast available options, pay is expected to rise when you get your PIN(in months). Free accommodation for the first 2 months & for the locum,
no specific set of hrs(but 37.5hrs/wk for the employer). Extra shifts not more than 20hrs/wk. Will google more on appropriate pay rate/band and other necessary things I have to take note of. Thanks guys

Not a Doc, but a Nrs
Google and be sure of d respective pay for ur profession and have u written ur OSCE or your employer will tutor u for dis while u work?

All this factors could be d salary determinant

That is quite low..are you starting an FY1 job? Is this money plus banding assuming you have to do night shifts?
If it is plus banding you are getting a bad deal and you should be able to negotiate your pay especially if you have experience in Nigeria.
I will look for my FY1 payslip and see if it's the same or less?
Are you getting free accommodation? Is this the MIT thing?

For the locum thing what does your contract say? Are you only allowed to do a set number of hours for locum? You need to know all this info.People who land from Naija are usually given a bad deal and worked like horses.

You need to certify what level you are coming in at? A foundation doctor or a registrar? If a registrar that pay is minuscule and when you start the work your eyes will open.

Google pay rate for whatever level you are coming in at ,that should give you an idea.

If you are going to be on a normal rota also working night shifts ,long days on call then you should be banded most times the banding is 40-50% of the stated salary especially if you are coming into medicine.

Do your homework first please o before you are taken for a rough ride.

Are you getting hospital accommodation?

By the time tax, NI,pension are deducted you may be skint.
I think she is coming in as a nurse but if as a doctor is good you do a detailed analysis as suggested not to enter into such contract @gracefav

Please good people, I'd love to hear from you guys based on experience. Can an annual pay of 25k cater for a family of 3-4 in the UK?, can such earner be considered as an average person in the UK probably living an average life, considering the cost of living and tax?.

NB: Precisely Northern Ireland
1. Yes it can cater as long as you are prudent about your spending

2. Yes I believe u can be classified as such, hence why ur visa was considered or issued in the first place.

You will be fine. All the best

thanks for the reply. i will be in the UK soon and will be eligible to work as well...i asking because i want to know if i should stick to chemical engineering or go into the IT sector. i have about 8 yrs experience in large scale water treatment in Nigeria. i am also COREN registered in Nigeria too but i dont know if its relevant over there
In dt case start preparing ur CV and register for job alert on reed, cvlibrary, total jobs and indeed. Just to get started and familiarise ursef with d salary scale, job description in ur field etc. but Nigeria address and phone number may cause some limitations because you won't even know the region you are targeting ur search towards and getting a call back is likely not to happen.

Once you land, intensify all effort, call the company or agency u have seen dre vacancy to follow up and don't give up.

Come alone first and re-apply for them when you are stable...eg accommodation etc
Personally I think dt route is more stressful emotionally and financially. Since she already has a COS she is closer to d end

*visa more expensive
*needs more financial and other documentation (COS covers you and the family)
*takes longer time to be processed
*surviving alone with no family in dis country can be somewhat depressing

You can decide to state the actual date there but for the sake of peace of mind put uniform date for you all, bear in mind that they will need to pick up d Biometirc Resident Permit (BRP) at a local post office near d address u have provided (you will.be given a 1month vignette to do this)

They need to be in d UK after to do this and u can't do it for them because you need there passport for collection.
