Don't use too hot water o....so u don't get that roughened tummy look . Hot tea and cereal also has the same effect.

I dint do the hot water press o. They gave me some drip stuff in the hospital that helped pass a lot of the blood and I took hot tea a lot. My mom was dismayed!!!! But exercise and eating right helped get my tummy back in no time

I used sitz bath and warm water with some liquid they gave me at the clinic for my vjay

Dats quite different from the one I used..... A long time ago I used a morning -after pill and I ended up leaking milk from my breast which is very abnormal cos it leads to infertility. My doc gave me d drug to use for 5days and I had no side effect.
Dat drug is most times prescribed for ttc women to correct hormonal imbalance, guess dats d one chyvv is talking about.

parlodel? / Bromocriptine? used for high prolactin levels...its not for stopping milk after breastfeeding.

pls dont take drugs, reduce your b.feeding gradually, wear good bra and you can use cabbage leaves if you are suffering from engorgement.

it helps with engorgement..that fullness and discomfort of the boobs when weaning

Sounds like normal regurgitation. Reflux is frequent projectile vomiting, difficulties sleeping, crying after every feed,arching back, frequent hiccups, etc

I sincerely pray it isn't reflux, trust me colic is child's play where reflux is

Seen. My bad then. Pls stay away from exercise and tummy binders.

You can still watch your diet and make healthier choices tho

@favoredgal, I did cs and I was asked not to tie any thing on my tummy or do any exercise so dat d place will heal faster, dat was what I did.

My tummy has gone down even without tieing anything on it. For me, I won't advice anyone who was sectioned to start exercising after 6 weeks.

I agree but She dint state that she did a section.

Not everyone has good genes as you! If she did she won't say her tummy is still VERY big

I need to rant, I want to rant...I want to scream, I want to cry. My baby do not sleep if I don't dance with him for at least 30 minutes, if I try to sit,he would scream and cry his eyes out and then he will sleep for like 10minutes only for him to wake up and then the dancing cycle starts again from the top. we do this for about 3 times before he finally settles to sleep. My back and my stitches aches like crazy cos he has started this at 4weeks and he is almost 7weeks now. Infact, a part of my stitches got opened and I know the culprit is cos I carry him to sleep. Please how can I help him sleep, I have tried putting him in a rocker,tried to place him down and pacify him to sleep nothing is working and I am feeling really worn out. HELP!!!

Infant hood is in stages.... It's hard now but remember this stage will pass too and soon.

This reminds me so much of the days when my baby used to sleep only 5 mins. Crazy, I never used to get anything done! Some days I dint even take my bath

But now she sleeps 12 straight hours at night and naps 3 straight hours during the day. Best of all she puts herself to bed


There is light at the end of the tunnel, hang in there

Backing helped a lot during those hard times, as my baby refused to stay in a swing or rocket or even chill by herself for a second

Are u exclusively breastfeeding?

Buy a waist trainer or use a cloth to bind your tummy it will help u reduce your eating

Also u need to watch what I eat, try and reduce your cabs and takeover of proteins and fruit

Moin moin, efo, ugwu, fish, wheat bread, plantain amala, etc
Try and cut off or reduce Palm and groundnut oil to the barest minimum

I kow it's hard to exercise as a new mom but start slowly, buy a skipping Rope and aim to increase the no of skips everyday.

@Rieme, I also gave birth 9 weeks ago, I hv bn taking only warm water, no cold drinks, no pounded yam, lol, took plenty peppersoup, fruits & vegetables. I also usually place hot towel on my tummy when bathing & most importantly, exclusive breastfeeding.

It's not easy bt u hv to try. No exercise till after 6 months & with the consent of your doctor. Hope this helps.

well that's because we are 2 different people entirely with different mentality and background. my meat could be your poison and your poison could be my meat. on a normal I wouldn't try such and that's why pregnancy treats people diffrently, if you think the act of begging for corn from a stranger seem so weird and out of this world then you need to hear from other women with more weird and dangerous cravings . congrats and have a safe delivery.

I'm in the second trimester of my second baby

I have cravings but to be honest I can't imagine eating my colleagues food or even begging a random stranger for corn

I would rather use my leg to waka to where it's being sold or send someone to get it for me

Personally I don't believe anyone can have bad cravings to the extent of eating or begging stuff from a total stranger.

Self control is still key even in pregnancy

A family friend who has been ttc for 17 years, got delivered of a bouncing baby boy this day. Isnt God wonderful and unpredictable?? Indeed, this is goodnews. We pray God remembers all of our friends, neighbour(s) and fellow women who are looking up to Him for this kind of surprises. Amen.
