DipoDee: I was only asked to submit my Passport and other docs at the DSS collection centre, not to go back there for collection. I went to the embassy after 10 working days to pick up my VISA and was told to send a mail to LagosNIV which I did. They replied on the 29th of Sept that my Visa will be ready for pick up on the 2nd of Oct but no pick-up venue was specified; besides, I just saw the mail today and I plan on going to the embassy tomorrow. I guess I will know my fate tomorrow, thanks. cc dere5 Go to dhl first. They can't give you your passport at the embassy, they won't even let you in most likely Use these links to track https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspxustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-passportretrieve.asp |

Amother4life: If that will be your response I would suggest you avoid Houston and Chicago, JFK may be a better route for you. I literally don't know what else to say. I wish you God's grace though and a successful entry. JFK isn't the breeze through everyone think it is o! Read back last few pages of part 2. Someone even got deported from JFK That said I don't think there is anything wrong in that answer. Despite anything we say; the VO; the Cbp know we are all there for the Pali |

I plan on going there tomorrow, pls do you know if there's a time limit to Visa pick up? Will I still be able to pick it up tomorrow? Why not just go to dhl and see if it's still there? Oct 2nd was just upper weekend If it's not then it's been sent back to the consulate so u can email them |

Keji3: Good morning house, pls my LO took the bcg vaccine 12 days after birth and up till now she does not have the scar to show for it(she will be 3 months old tomorrow). Do i need to go back to the hospital to complain or its normal for some people not to have the scar. Abeg also i need methods to get my baby to take bottle o, i've been on that now for a week and i'm no way winning. Resumption back to work is knocking on my door and i'm scared of starting creche for her. Thanks peeps A raised blister will appear in most people vaccinated with BCG, but not everyone. If your child did not have this reaction to the vaccine, it does not mean that they have not responded to it. There's no need to vaccinate with BCG a second time. Source WHO |

shrekandfiona: He won't accept others o and he charges about 600$ for the rest tests and annoyingly, the same tests are repeated at delivery at a cost except the pap smear Guess things have really changed since April 2014 when I had my baby cuz I spent only $324 on tests with dr F. I rejected the Pap smear sha maybe that's why. But some of the tests came in handy, it's true he doesn't give the results cuz I asked before he told me I tested positive to gbs but when I got to the hospital They already knew because they immediately administered two rounds of antibiotics I'm curious to know the tests that dr A insists on though and also more curious to know what she discusses with her patients during antenatal because all these dr / patient chitchat not sure how it works. I'm considering her bcuz there is no initial fee / scan charge but I hope it won't be penny wise foolish sha. Cuz when my daughter went to nicu, we spent 3 days instead of 2 but dr f used his influence to ensure we were still billed for the normal 2 days |

My application has not been updated in over two weeks on their site Just keeps showing ready
Any insights?
Thanks so after 3 weeks of silence, i was called to come for interview @ the embassy any monday or wed. i went in today. saw one preggie and she was granted. the VO said i said i was traveling for 3 weeks and stayed 3 months the last time, i said yes, cuz i got pregnant after my interview. he asked how soon after, i said 4 weeks. did i pay my bills, yes. how much? approx $7k. wanted to show him receipts he said no. Then said from my application, they deduce i am going on another medical trip? i said yes. where will i be staying, i answered. do i have dr's correspondence, i said Yes. he asked to see it i passed him my budget, my dr's correspondence & my accommodation correspondence, all stapled together. he glanced at it and asked for my account statement, i passed it. then he said thanks for being very honest with us. we appreciate honesty anytime. Have a safe delivery your visa is approved YAY. LOL |

tejudollar: Good day all. I need an advice, travelled to united states and was stamped the normal 6 months stay at the immigration point. Later directed for secondary inspection where my bags were searched and my fitness of stay was found which showed i was 22 weeks pregnant and since i planned returning back in two weeks time. I told the officer i was, fortunately i wasnt turned back but he reduced mi stay to one month. During my stay, i had an issue that made me to see a doc who told me to stay off stress and rest well. My host and hubby are suggesting i stay back to deliver. but dnt know how to go about, where to go to show that i can pay the bills and the doctor report and all. Because also the cons of overstaying the limited stay to give birth here. Wuld appreciate you can all advice me on what to do. 22 weeks? Leave and come back at 32 weeks. Prepare well for your return. Tell them the truth at point of entry armed with your dr's correspondence, and plenty CASH |

Where you scared that the blue Pali will disappear for good? Family › Re: My Labour Experience. by favoredgal: 4:23am On Oct 03, 2015*. Modified: 10:21am On Oct 04, 2015 |
I actually had a good labor experience (at least it seems that way to me now for my first).
I woke up that morning and threw up for the first time since I got pregnant and that was the first indication that I would put to bed that day.
I had sharp bearable pains and tried to time them but they were irregular. However couldn't lie down so I slept sitting up.
By the time I woke up I was 4 mins apart so I took a shower and headed to the hospital. After checking me they said I was just 1cm dilated and they won't admit me. I started thinking of all the $ they will charge for false labor but the contraction machine showed them I was having strong frequent contractions so they kept me under observation for an hour
After an hour I was 5cm so they admitted me and gave me an epidural. That thing is bliss mehn. I was able to gist, chat on my phone, sleep.
In 2 hours when they checked me I was at 10cm. Time to push, however my dr was taking a delivery so they made me wait about 30 mins. I felt mad pressure of the baby descending on my pelvic bone I thought the epidural had failed but after giving birth I couldn't walk so it definitely did not fail.
That pressure was painful. Especially since they made me wait
Anyways, when my dr came. Time to push, they really encouraged me and told me they could see her head full of hair. Epidural made pushing harder and they gave me an oxygen mask at some point. I remember shaking and also throwing up.
But it took about 10 mins. I literarily saw my tummy deflate by half size. By the time she came out it felt like bliss. She weighed 3.7kg
I dint feel the placenta come out, also dint feel the sewing, they managed my pain well with pain killers and in about 4days I had forgotten I gave birth and was considering exercising
However, motherhood was the real test. Sleepless nights, endless cries.... All worth it now for my beautiful intelligent daughter
It does get easier andbetter with time
I'm on my second and last journey by his grace |

I adhere to it d first 2days but wen all d international experience doctors started storming my house wit der expertise, i ended up rejecting der hot water theory but settled for warm water.4wkes later d tear is still fresh so i decided to go to hospital today only for them to say they wil hv to suture (sew) it again. The pain dis time was so unbearable despite giving me injection to deaden the place.its lik d doctor intentionally refuse to deaden some part so dat i can feel d pain well.i was just crying lik a toddler. Now am back to square one, nursing pain just lik d first day i put to bed. That's weird. I used warm (not hot) water and in a week max I forgot I even had anything of such Sorry about the pain dear |
