lagcity: This is the biggest joke of the decade. Ibos are crying that the enemy starved them! Are you fvcking kidding me?! Without a doubt, Ndigbo have lost their minds. Very soon, they'll be dancing naked on the streets and beating Bournvita container as drums. grin grin grin This sh1t is pathetic.
I wonder o. So I am supposed to keep feeding my battle opponent so that he can have more strength to fight me next day abi ? Apparently common sense is scarce in Igboland.

bashr8: hahahahaha dont mind them , at times i wonder if its their food, ever wonder why seun have never been recognised or mentioned in public because no body want to associate with tribalist website like this. other blog owner are celebrated all accross nigeria and africa for promoting nigerians and africans in general.

how many nairalander are proud to tell their friends that they are memeber here or share their topics on facebook ? i guessed as much
Yorubas don't go looking around for cheap useless publicity because they have published a free blog. I even know one Yoruba man who has written several books on software engineering which are used all over the world and he lives quietly doing his work in Ibadan. Empty barrels make the most noise.

Prof Corruption: He was actually the best writer Nigeria out of Naija. He did not take his rightful position because his life was cut short. if you read some of his works, you would marvel at a genius of a brain he possessed. Not a thoroughly completely hyped copy and paste of Igbo proverbs call Things Fall Apart.
Point of correction. It has now been confirmed that even Okigbo was a hopeless plagiarist.

I will be writing to Gov Fasola to advise us on what he will do about these people. I don't want Igbo man to come slaughter me when I am sleeping.Send them back home for sake of cultured Yoruba children

Chuksgeo: The yo-rubbers are the most cowarded tribe in this entity called nigeria, well that is a topic for another day. obafemi awo or awolowo is a nazist following his infamous 'STARVATION POLICY', and how can a tribe that have never fought a war tell war stories more than others who have? This is to show that the yo-rubbers are cowardly parrots just like the saying 'after the mens wrestling women discuss the match' this is just what the yorubas are doing, ' it is also said that if you are not when the dead is buried and you are asked to dig the corpse you will definitely start from the leg' this is typical of this ofe mmanued yo-rubbers, COWARDS! IGBO KWENU!
All this coward , coward you are shouting on internet now, if trouble comes they will quickly travel home for "yam festival". You better advise your kin not to start misbehaving or OPC will roast all of you and your so called Lagos houses. They will drive you back to Owerre where Ijaw people will come and finish you up. Useless set of people. Just imagine. It just occurred to me over the last two days that all through my life I have never been fortunate to come across a single honest Igbo man. Hopeless.

Hmnn. I will nominate Bros Seun for Nobel prize for proving this forum so that Igbo people can vent their anger instead of still running about naked and killing people with cutlass. Evil people will always try to cheat you and when you retaliate they start weeping all over the place.we should have given them Biafra so that Ijaw can starve them instead. Good night (yoruba) folks. Good night bros Seun.

Little Igbo bros. Your comments all day show that you were not even born before Awolowo died. In which case Biafra , you probably have read about from Nairaland. To cap it all you have not even read Akebe's controversial book. What is your problem ?You dey smoke something ? grin grin

emmatok: Then GOWON and GOWON alone should take responsibilities for tha War .
Awo was just a minister, not even a Military officers like OBJ.
I have noticed that it is easy for you Ibos to confront the Yorubas than the Hausa/Fulanis.
Because they know Hausa do not take nonsense, they just bring out their suya knife. Game over.
But Yorubas are the tolerant Christian. Abuse them insult them and they will continue to smile and still feed them. Because we are highly cultured - thanks to people like Papa Awo.

Prof Corruption: The only Nigerian with GCFR without being a president. The man whose picture is on the currency you spend.
The man who won civil war for Nigeria without borrowing a kobo. The man who formulated the policies that brought Biafra to her knees.
The man who built the first TV station in Africa, the first social security system in Africa.
The man who conceptualize the institution known as OAU today.
A man who built industrial estates in Western Nigeria. A man who introduced the very first free education policy in Nigeria.

A man who was a family man to the call. He had just one wife! a faithful husband, an astute organiser, a political wizard, a fearless sage,
intelligence personified, the real fear of Igbo. A man who even in death remains the Nigerian issue. A man who came, saw and conquered.

Awolowo rest in peace.

shevon: I am not that religious neither am I a strong believer of science. But looking at the things that have been happening around the world like the global warming and its resultant effect (which some people argue that it had been foreseen as far back as 20years ago) and also considering what the Bible said (I don't know if the Holy Qur'an mentioned anything about it) about the end time, should we also not be taking the prediction of the Mayan's about the world ending by 21st Dec, 2012 seriously? I am not posting this to scare people or have some people throw insults at each other or myself, I just want us to reason along the line of logic. Your comments please.
If you believe then it will end .. for YOU. undecided
I believe dance is dance whether it was invented by worldly people or not.how you dance is not the issue, its your heart that matters most. When David danced, the bible never recorded his dance steps, but we all know that he did it from his heart.so whoever invents a dance step in the secular world doesn't make it unacceptable as long as your heart is in tune with God.but i think the psoblem will b when you dance to show off, entice or impress other people in church.
Dance is dance ? How unfortunate !! You need to go into the history of some dances and how they were invented. Most are purely coded ritual gestures and body movements to invoke spirits . You think evil spirits can not be invoked in church too ? I am sorry for you. Most of our churches are fertile places for them to eat and drink. I have stopped attending dancing church.

abouzaid: Both fela and wole soyinka opposed d war. Soyinka was imprisoned for his opposition of what he considered an unjust war. I would love 2 read his commentary on this book when it's out.
Fela and Soyinka opposed the war , but did they support Biafra advance toward Lagos ? If Biafra had finally run into Lagos and slaughtered the family of Fela and Soyinka , he will have been singing a different tune. Dis amugbo people self. grin
Politics › Re: Achebe’s Biafra Memoir Stirs Controversy by felifeli: 4:28pm On Oct 06, 2012
Why don't these old fools just lie down quietly and die like Biafra. For God's sake more than 50% of Nigerians alive today were not even born until after the Biafra war. This man Achebe has gone senile , and still reliving his lost childhood at the risk of perpetually putting tribes against tribes. Shame ! sad

thelastPope: So let me ask you a question. If you are not happy with your family, will you go around talking them down and refering to them in degrading and despicable ways?

Imagine words like "that poo country". "That dung of a country". "That hell hole". "Do people still live in that useless place?" And so on. Please don't defend their bitterness
You have made relevant observation, but you have in your original post been guilty of same generalization. In fact I have heard native citizens of USA and UK describe their own country in the same equally despicable terms, but they have often been the jobless and down-at-luck so you can understand their frustration. If I were a Nigerian living abroad (and I have certainly done a fair share of this), whatever any relative comfort that I may be feeling in a place where I am only an "honorary" member of the community, I would certainly be so bad that my country couldn't be like this so that I could return home where I am lord. It is well though, no place is perfect.

manny4life: YES I WILL.

There are more pressing issues in America than Gay marriage. It's his personal opinion NOT his position he decided for the Americans. I will stick with someone who has an opinion than one whom his opinion fluctuates like PHCN.
Now , now don't bring PHCN into this. Anyone who fvcks with PHCN will draw my ire.PHCN is the essential spirit of government in Nigeria - unreliable. The day they change I am getting out because the rapture will happen soon after.

Can you eat maggot?
God done catch that fine girl today. See as she is shaking her head .(God forbid)
If you eat in a buka (those Mama Risikat and Mama Risirat people ) or even most restaurants in Naija you probably eat maggots everyday. Walai if you see the kind of tomatoes and peppers that they use to cook, with maggots inside them. But after they have ground the pepper and mixed it with maggi and co , you will never know.
Maggot dey sweet o. Abi I lie ?

trying: My mother right now is sick, shes suffering from Hi blood pressure, Internal heat and Nerves pain , shes 46years old ,shes done some test at some hospitals both at govt and private hospitals at the end they only gave her drugs such as adomet and antibiotics. still till today , they cant profer a solution to her ailment. so please doctors on Nairaland i need your advice on whats best for a patient like her to do.

Are there women who are in such conditions or have been through such conditions, please come share with us on here . how u were able to get yours solved
we need advise both from Health experts
and formers patients,

Pls we look forward to your views and contributions

Thankyou
Your mother has no business asking for advice on NL. I advise you to take her to a cardiologist at once. All the symptoms you have described are the same - hypertension. Not all drugs work in the same way for everyone. So if the adomet is not working they should get her changed to another drug urgently. In case you are wondering, yes I have had high blood pressure and I am speaking from experience. A highly expensive drug that an inexperienced public hospital doctor first prescribed (along with sleeping pills - she thought I had mental problem) only made it worse and quite nearly killed me, until a cardiologist took over.
What is the use of the antibiotic ?It doesn't just make sense. Most importantly , you should find the root cause of her stress and remove her from it.For women, worry is often the greatest culprit otherwise weight problem.A competent cardiologist should advise better ; not teenagers and inexperienced doctors on NL. Time is essential before her system , especially kidneys, suffers a collapse.
