Probably right ... but;N300m will buy 2Megawatt of wind energy (that is more than 10 times the project output) .. or roughly same power output for solar energy.. installed and working. They are all RENEWABLE sources.

The problem abut this silly country is that we don't need these "pilot" hydropower experiments.The technology has been in use in poor countries of Asia for nearly half a century and it works for small community agric projects. All they nneed to do is to empower LGs to do their feasibilities and then fund the communities to build the projects. N300m for an experimental hydropower project ? I am going off to vomit.

As you said, 5.5 kW gen, don't you have to buy a form of fossil fuel to power it? At the end of the day, you bought the gen, pay to power it and it will probably last for 10 yrs max before you buy another apart from the unnecessary noise and fumes.
On the flip side, you can pay for this once and get it off your budget (except maintenance but you do that to your gen anyway).

Again, can any intelligent person tell me how the generation of 15 kW is bad?! Am I missing something?! How do we think in this country for heaven's sake?!
