Politics › A Call For Change Of National Anthem by Feranchek(op): 11:52am On Sep 28, 2017 |
Nigeria, after independence had its national anthem and it began with ''Nigeria we hail thee...'' After a while, it was changed to ''Arise O compatriot...'' (for primary school, na Arise o compansion we dey call am ). Our current national anthem have 2 stanzas and I want us to talk more bout the 2nd stanza. In a country where everything has turned upside down, where anomalies have become normal, we can only ask for the grace of God for things to be the way it should be. The bible made us to understand that God listens to the prayers and cries of children. And where is the national anthem sang on a daily? Schools. Both nursery, primary and high school children should be taught this anthem and it should be sang everyday, who knows, God may just hear our cries and change our destiny for the better. Now let's compare the 2 stanzas and you'll decide if my suggestion makes sense or not STANZA ONE Arise, O compatriots (how many compatriots are left in this country?) Nigeria's call obey (unless we're forced to) To serve our fatherland with love and strength and faith (you'll agree with me that this is no longer found in us. NYSC and politics is a good example) The labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain (Lol. Awo and Zik go dey cry where dem dey now) To serve with heart and might One nation bound in freedom (abd that freedom is making our politicians steal with impunity, yet we don't have freedom to criticize them anymore cos it's now referred to as HATE SPEECH) Peace and unity (Lol. Operation python dance is evidence that the peace and unity in this country has been jeoperdized) NOW LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THE SECOND STANZAOh God of creationDirect our noble cause (You'll agree with me that what we need now is God's direction cos we've all lost it) Guide our leaders right (and dear Lord, if they refuse to bend to your will, please BREAK them and let them experience what Pharaoh experienced)
Help our youth the truth to know (Our youth have totally lost it. all we care about is getting rich at all cost. Try criticizing, by telling a lady the truth on her facebook post and what you'll get as reply will be ''mr man, I didn't post it on your wall biko...'' and the insults go on and on) In love and honesty to grow (without these two, growth is FAR from us. TSTV issues and many more are examples) And live in just and true (can a poor man sue a company like MTN for deducting N50 from his account for a caller tune he never subscribed for Except for domestic violence and sexual harrassments, justice for the poor can't be found MUCH in our society.) Great lofty heights attain (putting the right things in order, the sky will only be the beginning. Aba boys are a typical example) To build a nation where peace And justice shall reign (At the end, we'll ALL enjoy these things in abundance) So, do you think we should change our current national anthem to its second stanza? if yes, click LIKE. And if no, click share but share your reason why in the comment box please. God bless NIGERIA!!! Lasticlala, mynd44, I need your opinions first as my bosses. |

OP you're ABSOLUTELY correct. But you forgot to mention some REGULAR things they do (1) They send you messages on Monday for an interview on Tuesday. What reputable company does that Even if it'll be done, you ought to be called first, asked if you'll be chanced for the interview before sending you a message. I've experienced such a couple of times and it's not a biggie. But if you sened me a message for an interview a day to the scheduled date, I no dey go biko. Sometimes they send it on Friday and schedule it for Monday. Iranu. (2) "You're invited for a JOB BRIEF with HR . . . . . Watin be tat one Biko RUN!!. I called one to ask what the job is about and his response was ''when you come, you'll be told''. THUNDER FAYA YA NYASH DIA!!! (3) The time the interview is scheduled to hold is usually 8am I'll explain why. Read down..... (4) At the bottom of the text, you'll ALWAYS see REF: (with a number). You know why they put it? Cos the place they use for their 'interview' is being used by so many of their kind, so te REF number will tell them you're for them when you get to the venue. NOW, just in case you decide to give them a try (which I STRONGLY kick against), here are things you'll encounter when you get to the venue (1) You get there by 8am (cos the process long and dem want make you come on time so that you no go complain about time) and you're sitted in a little room along with other mugus. A guy comes to inform you of a test that'll last for 30mins, and the test is just 20% of your overall rating (imogene!!) Believe me, even if you miss the test, you'll still be allowed to continue with the recruitment process. (2) After the test, next will be a brief on their core values and this will last for about an hour or MORE (NO EXAGGIRATION HERE) (3) Next will be a speech from their CEO. This one go last for more than 2 hours aswear!!! (4) At the end of it all, guess what the job is....... You're to buy a franchise for more that 15k!! Or they're selling one mumu thing or the other. Or even marketting. So you see why I talk say make you no even go at the first place Na only GOD go help our hunt. according to M.I ''everything we dey face right now go turn story...'' |

Feranchek: By Juliet Ebirim
A Catholic priest, Rev. Father Louis Nwabueze Ezeilo of Catholic Diocese of Awka, has called on religious institutions and “so-called men of God to stop institutionalizing poverty by making people stay in church for 24 hours, thereby encouraging laziness in the name of working for God.”
He stated this during the launch of his book entitled “Who is poor and why? Conceptual Pluralism Approach to Poverty in Nigeria,” at Holy Family Catholic Church, Festac, Lagos.
Ezeilo whose interests border on the issue of poverty and how to create an inclusive environment for a better economic and human development in Nigeria said: “The problem of poverty remains one of the most challenging issues in our world today. Poverty as a global problem affects continents, regions, nations and people in different ways.
“It is also a fact that no nation is absolutely free from poverty. But the difference lies in the prevalence and intensity of this phenomenon in a particular country. That’s why we need to know who is really poor and why and also some of the factors responsible for poverty in the country.”
He, however, added that the government, elite and other institutions enrich themselves under the guise of fighting poverty. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/09/stop-institutionalizing-poverty-catholic-priest-tells-religious-institutions/Feranchek: Cc: Lalasticlala

olojuede01: Heard it on the radio. Seems like a cover-up though. There seems to be more going on. Dogo Francis was in Lagos already before last week when the debacle happened. Why move Sean? Sexy Joe we understand, but why swap Sean from Popular side. In my books , I think they should create a separate program for Dogo as it seems like he is trying immitate Murphy too much He runs a similar show in Kaduna. Why bring him to Lagos since he and Paparazzi are like 2 captains in their different ships? Something ain't just right somewhere. Rememeber Elegbete left just bout a week before |
Sports › Brila Fm Releases Official Statement Regarding Murphy Ijemba's Rumoured Sack by Feranchek(op): 8:00am On Sep 09, 2017 |
Feranchek: Brila FM, Nigeria’s only dedicated sports radio station has reacted to claims by a former staffer that he was wrongly dismissed from his job. OAP Murphy Ijemba had taken to Twitter to accuse the station and its owner, Larry Izamoje of hating ‘people making progress’. The tweets have now been deleted. However, the company has dismissed such claims; saying that an internal reshuffling necessitated transfers and change of timeshifts- and that the affected presenters, Murphy Ijemba and Sean Amadi, failed to resume to work since the postings were announced. Read the statement in full:
In view of enquiries by truly concerned listeners and patrons on changes within the organization’s Lagos station, management wishes to inform as follows:
An internal reorganisation that involved transfers and redeployments of some members of staff was undertaken to strengthen shifts across all times of the day.
Oge Ogwo, Fabian Amaechi, Jovita Eke, Sean Amadi and Yinka Oyedele were deployed to new shifts in Lagos with Yinka swapping positions with Sean, while Lawrence Maxwell (Lagos to Abuja), Victor Okhani (Abuja to Kaduna) and Dogo Francis (Kaduna to Lagos) were transferred.
Everyone, except Sean, has reported to their new duty posts.
Murphy Ijemba was not redeployed from the evening belt. Indeed, the redeployments notice stated that Murphy retains the Mon-Friday belt while Dogo Francis, a pioneer member of our Popular Side Team handles the Saturday and Sunday evening belts when Murphy is off-duty. Sean and Murphy have not resumed duty since postings were announced.
They were not sacked and the organization, till date, has not received a resignation letter from any or each of them.
We reiterate that Murphy was not posted out of the evening belt.
Management was, therefore, shocked to read spurious and libellous online posts by Murphy against the station, his colleagues and management.
As shifts have to be handled, the vacated evening belt post had to be quickly filled by Dogo Francis who headed the same belt on our Kaduna station.
The company’s employee handbook, signed by every member of staff upon joining the organisation, gives the company the discretion on where, when and the time belt employees work. It also states that duplication of service, particularly sports service, for self or others while still an employee is against the terms of agreement made clear when hired with a signed document binding company and staff.
We applaud your comments, calls, questions and other expressions of care and concern. We will continue to maintain the high standards that have made us your reference in sportscasting, the home of the fans.
Thank you. |
