Investment › Re: Why Are Our Telecos Not Going Public? by Ferdinandu(m): 12:29am On Apr 17, 2013
Telcos are raking a huge amount of profits for now in Nigeria because Nigeria is a virgin market for them so the owners don't want to share the huge profits with anyone. imagine the huge amount MTN and DSTV are making in Nigeria. They will only go public when they see that the market is about to become too saturated to make huge profits again. remember that few years ago Starrcomm went public,it is because they have sen that CDMA market is becoming less attractive in Nigeria so the next thing is to cash in their remaining money through public offer. That's the rule of business
Career › Re: Being A Graduate Is Not Enough! You Need Skills? by Ferdinandu(m): 12:15am On Apr 17, 2013
Having a vocational skill is one of the greatest thing that can happen to any Nigerian Graduate,it helps to have something to rely on while waiting for the ever elusive white collar job or else you see yourself desperate to pick a job meant for O levels and below.Undergraduates here in Nigeria always makes the mistake of thinking " my own will be different,i will be highly favored",until they graduate and the reality hit them on the face. The rate of new jobs to fresh graduates in Nigeria is so low that the best advice to any undergraduate is to always to have a back up plan
Family › Re: Things A Mom Should Tell Her Son by Ferdinandu(m): 11:06pm On Apr 16, 2013
Stegomiah: TWENTY THINGS A MOM SHOULD TELL HER SON

1. You will set the tone for the sexual relationship, so don't take something away from her that you can't give back.

2. Play a sport. It will teach you how to win honorably, lose gracefully, respect authority, work with others, manage your time, and stay out of trouble. And maybe even throw or catch.

3. Use careful aim when you pee. Somebody's got to clean that up, you know.

4. Save money when you're young because you'll need it some day.

5. Allow me to introduce you to the dishwasher, oven, washing machine, iron, vacuum, mop and broom. Now please go use them.

6. Pray and be a spiritual leader.

7. Don't ever be a bully and don't ever start a fight, but if some idiot clocks you, please defend yourself.

8. Your knowledge and education is something that nobody can take away from you.

9. Treat women kindly. Forever is a long time to live alone and it's even longer to live with somebody who hates your guts.

10. Take pride in your appearance.

11. Be strong and tender at the same time.

12. A woman can do everything that you can do. This includes her having a successful career and you changing diapers at 3 A.M. Mutual respect is the key to a good relationship.

13. "Yes ma'am" and "yes sir" still go a long way.

14. The reason that they're called "private parts" is because they're "private". Please do not scratch them in public.

15. Peer pressure is a scary thing. Be a good leader and others will follow.

16. Bringing her flowers for no reason is always a good idea.

17. Be patriotic.

18. Potty humor isn't the only thing that's humorous.

19. Please choose your spouse wisely. My daughter-in-law will be the gatekeeper for me spending time with you and my grandchildren.

20. Remember to call your mother because I might be missing you.

newloaded: Ever since i got married to my wife things have taken a down-turn in all aspects of my life .I now sleep to have funny dreams, nightmares ;waking up to see different scratches all over my body as opposed to how i was before the wedding .I discovered things have just been falling apart and business arent just picking up.I lost my banking job and my business is at its lowest ebb.So many prophets have pin pointed my woes to my wife ,saying she belongs to the marine kingdom and shes in my life to render me to nothing and thereafter destroy me and signs to confirm this i have witnessed on several occasions.
I would like to know if this actually happens or is it just some fairy tales that should be jettisoned? If it is,what options do i have ?Do i seek for her deliverance or simply separate from her ?What if she doesnt want to be delivered ?what should i do?
Opinions and please no insults .

1 Nigerian Banking industry has been in crises since last last 5yrs so at least about 50% of banking staffs has lost their jobs in the last 5yrs
2 Somebody who finished school and got employed by a company without running his own business before and then all of a sudden he lost his job and then he starts running private business. Is it easy to start a business and it becomes successful all of a sudden especially when you are not experienced?
3 somebody who lost his job and his private business is not encouraging at all.Is he likely to be having a sound sleep and sweet dreams like a baby or is he likely to be having sleepless nights and nightmares because of too much worry?

Most of you has just been compounding this young man's problem by telling him that his wife is a confirmed witch quoting irrelevant bible verses some even predicting world war III because of simple worldly problems. Is not in the same bible that it is said "I will go and make all Ahab's Prophets tell lies. The Lord said Go and deceive him you will succeed.(1kings 22 vs22)". Young man sit down and analyze your problem an know how you are going to solve it before you end your life going to all the spiritual houses in Nigeria and all of them will end up branding all your family and friend as Witches and Wizards .people go through similar problems as yours and with diligence they get thorough them.yours is not unique. But if you say that spiritual houses is where your solution lies then good speed.
Politics › Re: Ngige Scores Peter Obi 7% In 7 Years by Ferdinandu(m): 9:15am On Apr 04, 2013
Ngige is becoming a desperado in his bid to return to Anambra govt house.Though not a fan of Obi but i must i confess that him giving Obi 7% in all his works so far in Anambra shows how desperate he is.When Obi 1st came into Government,I was available when he personally acknowledged that Ngige did a very good work during his time but he will try to do better. Not minding that Ngige stole his mandate in the first place untypical of a Nigerian politician to accept that his Predecessor did anything .Ngige should try more to be a little generous with Obi's performance in Anambra state afterall nobody will count Obi as one of the bad Governors we have in Nigeria. As somebody rightly mentioned before, one of the reasons Ngige performed then was because he was seriously under pressure so he doesn't have any option.Who knows what he will do if given a second chance.

Romance › Re: When Is The Right Time To Make Your Intentions Know To Your New Babe. by Ferdinandu(m): 9:19am On Mar 30, 2013
Maybe after 24yrs.

Sally called when she got the word,
She said: "I suppose you've heard -
About Alice".
Well I rushed to the window,
And I looked outside,
But I could hardly believe my eyes -
As a big limousine rolled up
Into Alice's drive...

Oh, I don't know why she's leaving,
Or where she's gonna go,
I guess she's got her reasons,
But I just don't want to know,
'Cos for twenty-four years
I've been living next door to Alice.
Alice, who the Bleep is Alice

Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance,
To tell her how I'm feeling, maybe get a second glance,
Now I've got to get used to not living next door to Alice...
Alice, who the Bleep is Alice

Grew up together,
Two kids in the park,
Carved our initials,
Deep in the bark,
Me and Alice.
Now she walks through the door,
With her head held high,
Just for a moment, I caught her eye,
As a big limousine pulled slowly
Out of Alice's drive.

Oh, I don't know why she's leaving,
Or where she's gonna go,
I guess she's got her reasons,
But I just don't want to know,
{ From: http://www.elyrics.net }

Now I gotta get used to not living next door to Alice...
Alice, who the Bleep is Alice

Sally called back, asked how I felt,
She said: "I know how to help -
Get over Alice".
She said: "Now Alice is gone,
But I'm still here,
You know I've been waiting
For twenty-four years..."
And the big limousine disappeared...

I don't know why she's leaving,
Or where she's gonna go,
I guess she's got her reasons,
But I just don't want to know,
