PoliticsRe: Tinubu Didn’t Attend Primary, Sec Schools Because He Was Too Brilliant – Keyamo by festacman(m):
My opinion on this issue is that Bola Tinubu came from a poverty-stricken background. It is likely he moved around as servant to people before being rescued by Providence and like Joseph, found himself in the home of Abibatu Mogaji who obviously saw his intelligence and nurtured him up into adulthood as well as gave him opportunity to develop himself outside Nigeria.

One thing is certain, if Tinubu agrees to write his autobiography, it will be a thriller. grin

CelebritiesRe: Tonto Dikeh Quits Nollywood, Gives Reason by festacman(m):
Tonto Dike is already sensing that politics is an easy way to expand social network, cultivate influence and use her charm to secure all KINDS of patronages: appointments, contracts, sexual transactions, etc.

I have a strong feeling that after 2023 election, she will cross over to a bigger party and dig deeper in her hustles.

Well, she has her life to live.

Everything goes in Nigeria. How can a media house not renew its licenses as and when due? That's corporate irresponsibility. If you won't willingly renew what keeps in existence, it is taxes they will pay? Poor corporate attitude.

You have a strong point but I have a feeling that many Fashola's basic megacity initiatives were abandoned by Ambode and neglected by Sanwi-olu.

If you are an adult Nigerian and still can't be explicit about the cracks, complexity and complications you so referred to in your earlier submissions for your concerns to be better addressed, then, you really don't have a genuine concern. Yes, we cannot engage each other because you do not really have a genuine concern, else, you would have been more explicit about it.
OK.

Great2017:
What complexity, complications and cracks are you really talking about? Can you make them more explicit by buttressing them with examples?
If you are an adult Nigerian and still don't know that Nigeria has complexity, complications and cracks that every president has to deal with, then there is no need engaging me.

Naajjii:
If you are talking of content all the parties have good contents ,go check their manifestoes including APC.
There are two things I want you to know
First Obi or Obidient can not win next election with its current set up against two deeply entrenched parties PDP and APC .
Secondly ,is about how you Obidient are all over the places social media and the rest claiming Obi is the answer, he will come and fix this that, Nigeria problems are solved blah blah. It is not possibly, Obi is not a strong and rugged politician that can tackle some of our current problems especially insecurity.
I am not talking about manifestos. Provision of security is in APC manifesto but Pres. Buhari didn't have practical ideas to back it up. It has economic growth but the current government lack specific functional ideas and programs to drive diversification through massive agric production and processing, exploitation of our mineral and marine resources, and human resources development. It has sports and youth development but the government has no back up roadmap and programs to develop sports.

So I ask you again, what practical ideas does your candidate have to implement the generic issues in manifesto to Nigeria's problems?

Whether we like it or not those structures like the councilors, local government chairmen, house of assembly, senators, Governor's and the rest help a great deal in winning elections in Nigeria. No matter the social media campaign or awareness Obidient create without structure to carry out field works across every parts of Nigeria then nothing for him. Especially against deeply entrenched PDP and APC.
What plans does your candidate have to solve Nigeria's problems? I am interested in content not structure.

PoliticsRe: Fomerr Director Of SEC , Arunma Oteh Endorsed Peter Obi. by festacman(m):
Naajjii:
So Obi has the political will to tackle the kind of situation we are in now? Can Obi tackle those bandits kingpins and those terrorists? Can he tackle the Nigerian Cabals ? You people think you can scam us. It was the same thing during Buhari's time 2014 , now you Obi people have come to scam us again with unrealistic promises.
Atleast Buhari had structure then, but in Obi's where is the structure, how many councilors, local government chairmen ,Governor's, senators etc does labour party have across Nigeria?
I am not a politician and presently I don't support any presidential candidate but NOBODY can effectively solve Nigeria's unless he has the well-thought out solution ideas.

Pres. Buhari went in as a strong leader but had no clear plan or solution ideas. So, tell me the plans or solution ideas of your candidate to solve Nigeria's critical problems.

Stop bothering about the structure of another candidate. What was structure yesterday and today might not effectively serve as structure tomorrow. Society is dynamic. Personally I think the old political order with its structure shenanigans has failed. We need a new order that offers SOLUTIONS and NOT business as usual.

I’m engaging you because you are sounding civil and open minded.

So try to follow up on Obi’s interviews more, juxtapose it with his achievements as Anambra governor, and you will get a clear picture of what Obi presidency will look like.
I am from Anambra State and I have listened to Peter's Obi interviews. By the way, you are not doing me any favour by engaging me. I am just asking vital questions about the people who aspire to be next president and it is my right as a Nigerian to do so.

Who are those youths, is it Igbo or Ipob youths or which youths are you talking?
Is theoretical analysis of problems what we need Or a fearless person with the political will to implement plans.
Obi is fit for a minister not president, he can't deal with bandits he not a strong leader sorry.
We don't need a strong leader. We need a leader with vision, strong political will to make hard decisions, practical ideas, team spirit and openness to ideas from other people.

All the presidential candidates are qualified constitutionally but the one that will solve problems with a different approach from what is currently obtained. A president who will navigate our complexities and complications to get the required support and goodwill to solve our economic, social and political problems.

ObidientFC:
The people who have ruled over you have made leadership so complex and difficult for you with their archaic and backward mindset that you find it indeed difficult.

When you listen to Peter OBI, he has said leadership isn't a rocket science.
Wait till he gets there, u will really understand that we have been led by cows all these years
I don't want to wait till he gets there. Nigerians need to know what practical solutions he and other presidential are offering apart from the usually generic manifesto. By the way, leading a nation is not as simple as you are painting. Even in US where there are strong institutions and age-old dependable system, leadership is still not simple as you are painting. Emotional support is good but most times it is turns a mere mortal into some sort of god with far-reaching consequences.

I can assure you, just like Peter Obi has always said, that the solution to Nigeria’s complex problems is actually simple.

Leadership!

Get leadership right and every other thing will fall in line.

Give every region of this country a sense of belonging and all agitations will disappear.

Appoint the right and capable people to positions, and not those whose only qualification is because they are cronies and tribesmen, and you see every sector will start to function optimally.

Introduce technology and e-payment for every revenue generating agency in Nigeria and criminalize cash payment/receipt and you corruption almost vanish.

Award contracts and see to it being executed and you see contracts being delivered.

Get govt priorities right and prioritize power, education and infrastructure over vehicles for Niger Republic, Obsession with Grazing Route, building of Railway to Niger Republic, etc, and you see things take shape.

Niggur, Nigeria’s problem is leadership.
Nigeria's problem is leadership but any intending president need to show clear solutions to critical problems. So far, it has been all noise, empty media interviews, meetings and tours.

What other practical solution do you want him to give than what he has already done in Anambra.

In education, Anambra was 26th when he came; by the time he left, they were number one. Isn’t that a practical demonstration?

In leadership, Anambra used to have governors installed by godfathers. That nonsense ended with Obi who raised the bar of leadership in the state. Now Anambra people don’t settle for less when it comes to leadership recruitment.

In security, before Obi, Upper Iweka was the deadliest area in Nigeria but all that ended with Obi.

In health, Obi built the Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital in Nnewi from scratch to finish.

In infrastructure, Obi tarred almost all the roads in Anambra; both rural and Urban.

I can go on and on.

What more practical demonstration do you need sir?
You answer sounds too simplistic for someone who is running to preside over Nigeria with its complexities, complications and cracks.
PoliticsRe: Fomerr Director Of SEC , Arunma Oteh Endorsed Peter Obi. by festacman(m): 8:07pm On Aug 17, 2022
Peter Obi should lead the way by presenting practical roadmap to a new Nigeria. So far, apart from the youth support and his impressive theoritical analysis of the problems, he hasn't offered practical solution ideas for solving specific problems. What practical policy and program ideas that are different from the status quo does he have to move Nigeria from consumption to production?

For example, he said he will turn the arable lands in Northern Nigeria to produce crops and replace oil revenue but he hasn't said the practical steps he will take in achieving this. He hasn't said how he will overcome likely challenges like the power of state governors vis-a-vis land use law.

We need practical ideas for specific problems as a move-away from status quo of generic manifestoes. Some people will say that campaign hasn't started but these presidential candidates hold meetings. So, the law doesn't stop any candidate from dropping practical solution ideas give Nigerians true hope.
CelebritiesRe: Police PRO Reacts To BNXN's Tweet About Spitting On Officer's Face by festacman(m):
BNXN has played into the cold hands of Nigeria Police. I mean, many Nigerians have more serious altercations with policemen everyday and everyone moves on after that.

Yes, the police officer was wrong for tearing BNXN's shirts if he didn't resist arrest. However, the fact is all over the world, assaulting a police officer is a serious offence and so boasting about spitting on a police officer with two tweets as simple but strong pieces of evidence is stupid. Now, he is likely to be arrested, charged and jailed without option of fine as a deterrent if he has no influential big man to appeal on his behalf.

I am not sure an apology will solve this act of indiscretion.

Let's stop these childish insinuations and focus on what these presidential candidates would do to solve Nigeria's problems.

Look, Obasanjo is a mere mortal and he has one just vote. His influence has waned. Moreover, it is not as if he made Nigeria an elderado as a president.

Peter obi has been going from Tv station to another another analysing Nigeria socio economic problem and he will solve it.

From channels to Arise to Ait. The interview is there. Go to YouTube and watch his interview. You will see it there.
Analyzing problems is different from solving them but, no doubt, knowledge of problems can helps very much in providing solutions.
