Obasanjo contributed massively to Nigeria's current bad situation in the following ways:
- his lack of political will and vision as military Head of State to manage oil boom
- his sanctimonious attitude, vindictive approach to official policies and covertly corrupt moves by proxy (Dangote, Otedola, Elumelu, etc) as civilian president
- his selfish imposition of late Umaru Yar'adua as president in which he relegated national interests in favour of compensating the family of his late Musa Yar'adua.

That's hypocritical of Atiku to say because he was the same person who used PDP secretariat headed by his boy Iyorchia Ayu to frustrate Peter Obi out of PDP. He had hoped Peter Obi will crawl back to him begging for VP job but he got a shocker.

2023 presidential election is Atiku's to lose. If he fails to really milk Tinubu's Muslim-Muslim ticket to win 2023 election, then he is a political fat head.

If Tinubu, in spite of self-imposed impediments, manages to win, then Atiku would have no other alternative than to commit harakiri to save himself from shame.

If Ademola Adeleke would perform well as Governor of Osun State, he will make nonsense of the widely-held opinion that states deserve technocrats or intellectuals as governors. If he doesn't, it will once again strongly reinforce the case for technocrats or intellectuals although, practical terms, only a few technocrats has actually done well as governors in Nigeria.

What is the lesson in this?
All good technocrats are not necessarily a good leader,while all good leaders are not always a technocrat.

A good leader is a leadership because they have good followers/support.
An average leader withe right team will make a nation great.

I believe Adeleke will surprise many positively.

Tinubu should step back and call an inner-room meeting of all former acolytes, who were there at the very beginning and who now felt relegated, for reconciliation . They strategized and fought as one strong democratic force with Tinubu as leader and never worshipped him like Hon. Gbajabiamila, James Faleke, Mudashiru Obasa and other people around him are doing now. He needs to rebuild.
