10mobile:What are his practical ideas to TAKE NIGERIA FROM CONSUMPTION TO PRODUCTION? I haven't seen any. |
Truth be told. Peter Obi has not really distinguished himself from the rest of the pack by offering practical ideas for solving Nigeria's problems. And that's disappointing because he is supposed to offer a breath of fresh air. For example the Nigeria Bar Association invited key presidential candidates to their conference. Atiku beat around the bush. Shettima focused on himself and his oga. Peter Obi spoke merely 'grammar' as usual with emphasis on Nigeria being a failed state. Disappointingly, none of them presented any ideas on how to strengthen the judiciary and smoothen course of criminal justice including the improving the security of the of correctional centres and ways of decongesting it. The difference between our leaders and those of developed countries are practical IDEAS to solve problems. Here, when problems show up, our leaders present prepared speeches and throw in money as solutions knowing that it is an avenue to loot. |
Make Ibori no laugh again because him go prison? Anyways, the more things change the more they remain the same. |
Proper coconut head. |
Nyesom Wike the beautiful bride that everyone wants in their bed. ![]() |
What's all these posturings for? Start the F*cking campaign and let us make a choice out bad alternatives available. By the way, dictator Nyesom Wike, tight-fisted Peter Obi, comedian Ayo Fayose, tinapa-failure Donald Duke, pretentious Seyi Makinde, timid Samuel Ortom, clueless Okezie Ikpeazu, as well as self-righteous Olusegun Obasanjo, scammer Atiku Abubakar and lootacratic Bola Tinubu are all the same. None of them is a saint. They are among the leaders who kept Nigeria in the bad situation it is now. And don't even try cannonize Peter Obi because inspite of the current hype, he is a heartless net importer capitalist and wasn't a wonderful as governor. Nonsense! |

Keep the light burning Prof and let's see what will happen at 2023 presidential election. If it is written then it will surely come to pass. There is a reason you were thrown up in the first place. |
There is no difference between Muhammadu Buhari and Datti Baba-Ahmed when the chips are down and when the iron is hot. Make of this what you will. |
Davido Adeleke future Osun State Governor already learning the act of political shenanigans from the masters. ![]() |
Sai Buhari was a movement in 2015 and it still didn't work out. So, whether movement or campaign, we just need to see specific solutions to Nigeria's critical problems by each presidential candidate. We need to see and review their action plans. We need their solution ideas or proposals. No need to waste time comparing campaign to movement. Time is running out. |
qanda:Any administrator who can't see and pluck low-hanging fruits to achieve his vision for an organisation or a project will definitely struggle in implementing strategic plans. |
Nothing wrong with strategic plan but you don't need 10-year master plan to harvest low-hanging fruits. You don't need 10-year master plan to make state FAs active by instituting developmental biannual U-15, U-17 and U-20 competitions with states competing on geopolitical zones basis with table toppers competing at national level for a trophy. You don't need 10-year master plan to attract big sponsorship to our FA Cup competition by building home-grown hype around the competition through colourful state tours by FA trophy, moving the hosting of FA cup final match around Nigeria, putting the final match on TV, using the police band or cultural dance to bring the trophy into stadium before the final match, increasing the prize money for trophy winners, etc You don't need 10-year master plan to have a national football elite program that brings the highly gifted young players identified during age-group competitions to a national academy camp during school long vacation with both local international academy coaches sharpening the rough diamonds. Look, we need simple practical IDEAS to achieve big things in this country. There are too much ineffective rhetorics, problem analyses and committee reports. |
Nonsense. Shettima is not a legal practitioner but an accomplished agric economist. Neither elegant African kaftan nor dappy European suit solve problems. Good head with ideas as well as open to other people's ideas does. Free Shettima. Focus on issues. |
VeryWickedMan:Your client says I should thank you on his behalf. He also requested you take a look at his 'toothpicking pose' and see what you can do. Awaiting your feedback ![]() |
I commend Atiku for at least stating his idea about improving uni education. We need others to present their own ideas. No more rhetorics or problem analyses. However, I disagree with Atiku's idea in that I believe that the first step in improving our university is doing the SWOT analysis of the current model and drawing from the outcome to reform or change the model. The problem is not about whether it is fed or state government that is the overseer. It is about acknowledging that the current model is outdated having not being radically reviewed and re-formed since independence. How do we make VCs more financially accountable? Should universities have their accounts audited annually? What must be to secure the interest and support of corporate bodies and wealthy personages? etc. Funny thing is that leaders at federal and state levels who are visionless about diversifying away from easy-money oil earnings are expecting VCs to diversify away from government funding to alternative funding. Leaders show example. |
Enough of rhetorics and problem analyses. We need each candidates' ideas for solving our critical problems. SOLUTIONS please! |
Blessedmercy8:Impressive. |
No more BS about manifestos. Provision of security is in APC manifesto but Pres. Buhari didn't have practical ideas to back it up. It has economic growth but the current government lack specific functional ideas and programs to drive diversification through massive agric production and processing, exploitation of our mineral and marine resources, and human resources development. It has sports and youth development but the government has no back up roadmap and programs to develop sports. So the issue is, what practical ideas each candidate has to implement the generic issues in the party manifesto in solving Nigeria's problems? |
Portable is valued by his community. If you don't like it go get a title from your own community or STFU. |

Our leaders mismanaged oil boom revenues. Sad but the reality. |
Ok |
Campaign period will be interesting. The crossfire will be bloody. The neutrals await to relish. However, it is important to watch out for candidates with practical solution ideas, away from party manifesto, to solve Nigeria's critical problems. |
Ok |
Anthony Joshua's unpredictable rash reaction to losing to Oleksandar Usyk is good. Sometimes it is good to go 'gung-ho' when people are expecting 'good boy' behavior. Look, professional fighters shouldn't be expected to always be meek at defeat after putting in so much hard work and sacrifice into preparing for the lost fight. Professional fighting is about adrenaline and ego. The truth is that AJ has always been underrated by many as professional boxer. He came this far because of his resolve to be successful in life. |
It looks obvious that Gov. Wike has many sympathizers in PDP across Nigeria. May be because the period Atiku was in APC and those post-election periods that he ran away to hide in Dubai, Wike was the financial pillar and voice of opposition that kept the flame of PDP burning. And so, many party chieftains feel he should be treated with a lot more respect that Atiku and his camp is presently doing. |
