osazuwa23:They suppressed the Oba who resisted them and looted his artifact-rich palace. |
Electorate:The whiteman didn't enter the villages kidnap people for slavery. The Blackman kidnapped and sold his own to Whiteman as slaves. How about that? |
Beautiful sight seeing these beautiful Nigerian ladies mourning Queen Elizabeth II in spectacular Aso Ebi. The truth is knowing the truth of British colonialism doesn't set anybody free. It is what you do with truth that sets you free. What Uju Anya said is not anything new. The historical fact has always been there and recognized. The earlier every Blackman knows that the Whiteman can't love him like his mother, the better for the Blackman's mentality to fight for himself. The sooner the Blackman realises that crying about injustices (which also happen even within the his own society) or playing the victim will not make the Whiteman slow down in racial RAT RACE, the better for the Blackman to puts his house in order. Uju Anya twitted her message of hatred against the oppressor while in the oppressor's country and hailed by some Nigerians and Africans who live in oppressor's country and live off his economy as immigrants or are making frantic effort to leave his own country to the country of the oppressor. Africa with country that bask in xenophobia to protect its interest is not any less than an oppressor. Africa with country in which certain ethnic groups views others with extreme derogation is a boiling pot of anti-progress energies. Several years after that Nigeria/Biafran war, the British authorities can't be held responsible for the poor performance of the Governors of South Eastern States. There is nothing stopping South East from still being another Japan if its State Governors would invest instead looting. Believe me, if South East States were developed infrastructurally with industries, well-supervised schools, well-planned towns, etc, countries of the world will respect the region while other regions in Nigeria would have driven by envy to also perform to catch up. Your own brother took a large of the common patrimony and hid it in the oppressor's country but instead of seizing it, the oppressor returned the money and insisted you spend on something that would improve your economy for the fear that another brother would steal the money again. So much for Blackman's activism against Whiteman's oppression. Fix your leaky house and watch your neighbour respect you more. |
Which kind of wahala be this one wey these men put on their heads. Dragging the gun with policeman is dumb. Holding on to policeman to give you back your phone or something could have been the lesser evil. Well, the deed is done and prison awaits. However, this overreaction doesn't absolve that police officers involved of the usual abuse of powers. |
Ok |
ebufa:That's my opinion. State yours. Thanks. |
Queen Elizabeth II like all us was not a saint. Like all of us, she lived with her foibles, interests, vocation, circumstances as well as with her strengths and weaknesses. Like all of us mortals would do, she has lived her life given her circumstances and passed on in death. May her soul rest in peace. Amen. History is beautiful because it teaches about the past in the present in order to enlighten, inspire and guide a surer march into the future. Nobody should be a slave to history. No mind deserve to be beclouded by history. Only fools would willingly relish being held down, as victims, in the the prison of historical events, which should ordinarily be a springboard to rising above the circumstances that made that event possible. It is criminal for anyone to hide under the cloak of history to plant the seed of hatred in the malleable mind of young people in this age when the world is becoming a global village with opportunities available physically and virtually. As out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, imagine what the woman who wished her perceived enemy Elizabeth II an excruciating pain in death would do as a MONARCH to her enemies who are perceived to go against her interests and authority. The kind of excruciating pain she would order and administer to them. With her kind of heart, she will sure be worse the late Queen Elizabeth. Interestingly, she stays comfortably in the house of her tolerant enemy to wish excruciating pain in death to her perceived arch-enemy who is the strongest ally of her tolerant enemy. I hope she ends well. |
That's pathetically immature. Marriage is not about sex only because that breast will fall like Olympus when babies start coming and that dick will struggle to function at certain age. |

Sometimes, this King Charles III looks a bit moronic. |
That's poor and shameful from King Charles. The least you can to a man who came to mourn your mother is pretend. It doesn't matter if citizens of some British-colonized countries are saying negative things about royal family and late Queen Elizabeth II. |

The movie LONDON HAS FALLEN comes to mind. Hope President Biden came with 'guardian angel' Mike Banning. ![]() |
Of course it changes to king's English. However, the current generations that grew to know only QUEEN would have to pass away for the change to be totally effective. Good thing is that, provided that death doesn't happen, it will be a kingly affair for a long time with Prince William waiting in the wings. |

So far no candidate has shown clearly the idea policies and reforms to fix Nigeria. Peter Obi is no doubt a breath of fresh air but there is need to show a document that details and outlines clearly and in detail his plan to solve Nigeria's critical problems. Truth is anybody with the gift of gab can grant interviews and give great speeches but those rarely solve problems. Well thought-out solutions do. Somebody would say that campaign hasn't started which is true but as rallies are held, candidates can as well as give snippet of their policy proposals and solution ideas. |
Totilopussylick:She is neither my mother nor my wife but she is someone's wife and mother. If your mother or woman deserves respect, then this woman deserves respect too. Her husband ex-Gov. Willie Obiano is comfortable with her appearance and frequently shows her off. So, why are you losing sleep over her appearance? |
Leave this woman alone. Focus on caring about your own mother. |
Good riddance. |
Nigeria spent so much of her oil boom money on the fight against white apartheid government in South Africa to get freedom for black South Africans. It didn't do it with the intention of exploiting South Africa but a brotherly gesture that should evoke respect and reciprocity from the black South Africans. However, at attaining the freedom and securing political power, the same black South Africans turned against Nigeria with so much disrespect and relegation. With hindsight, may be it would have been better if Nigeria had exploited them like the Colonial government. |
Sometimes, little ideas can bring great impact. This may just be a seed being planted for an annual globally-recognized fashion that project Anambra State positively and boost its economy. Kudos to Gov. Soludo's daughter for driving this. As onye Anambra, I am proud of this. Yes, I am. |
What was the essence of mentioning Abacha? Isn't this loading a gun, aiming at one's leg and pulling the trigger? |
This is more like 'money bazaar'. Atiku no go kill person. ![]() |
Some people see her as that foreign woman who took away their prince from duty post to your home in America. In fairness only one person appeared to have shunned in that video while many others warmed up to her. This story should have been about how warmly many royal fans received her than how one royal fan that detested her. Everybody can't love you. Return the love to those who do, ignore those who do not and move on. |
nedekid:Captured it well. |
No problems but LASG should erect traffic signs boldly and clearly all over Lagos. Replace them when some unscrupulous police officers deliberately remove them to extort from innocent citizens. The idea should be to achieve road safety rather than to punish. I believe the ruthless auction at this critical political time is a bold move. I hope motorists would learn from it and drive properly against every temptations to break the traffic laws. Believe me, the temptation can be strong sometimes due various reasons such as time management issues, condition of vehicle, bad roads, etc |

This kind of Poll represent mere opinion survey. It could show a certain trend but never a conclusive guide to reality. The likely source of error is the use of samples that are not representative of the population. Remarkably, the objections raised by camps of Atiku, Kwakwanso and Tinubu seem quite valid. The reality is that Peter Obi supporters should not rejoice because of this poll result. Also, Tinubu, Atiku and Kwakwanso supporters should not lose too much sleep. Election is still several months away and campaigns have not even started. One day is long time in politics. Blunders, slip of tongues and scandals will still be committed ahead of 2023. By the way, imagine a polling outfit showing results that clearly favor Tinubu or Atiku ... |
Good to see Abdulsalam Abubakar has recovered well and back on his feet healthy once again. |
