My own advice is that anybody that wants to go out should go out, protect yourself and be conscious of the whole measures just to be on safer side. But if you look at this figures released by the so called NCDC, you will petrified, terrified, honestly you will die in fear. Only God knows what they are doing or what they stand to gain. I have taken my time to study the trend across the nation. Let me start from Ibadan that I base. Their is no lock down in Ibadan, is short, there was never a total lockdown, what we have is curfew and partial restrictions of movement, and we all know proximity of Lagos to Ibadan, we also know how connectedl Ibadan-lagos express road is to other states and northern state, despite all these, Oyo state has recorded the least if compare to state that have been lockdown in south west. Why is it like that? Is there anything that the Governor is doing differently? Are Ibadan people more cultured, learned, law abiding than Lagos and rest? I think is because Oyo state have decided to do things differently than all these copy and paste that other governors are doing from federal government (especially APC states). Oyo state governor does not play to the gallery of the NCDC games of permutation, probability and duplication of numbers and restrained from the CMD of UCH shenanigan but istead works with good epidemiologists and other medical professionals, Look at what is happening in other PDP states, anambra is easing lockdown still not recording any new cases even when they reported it is in reasonable and few numbers. The NCDC boss is exploiting President of his weakness and incapacitation for his selfish interests because I still don't know why he feels that the virus must spread to all federation while it did not spread all over the provinces in China. Why forcing Kofi state and Cross river states to manufactured number of covid19 cases when none exist? Even when he gave them guidelines to follow before test to be carried out. By now, if their is any cases in kogi, is it not be obvious by now, the people would have been showing symptoms or probably dropping dead by now, even the doctors would have been crying out. So finally, my point is that, don't be discouraged by all this figures out there, go out if you have any important assignment, protect yourself and observe necessary measures to keep yourself safe. Despite the lockdown in Lagos state, I have traveled to Lagos two times in two weeks without any hitches, not even all the police officers on the road that put on nose mask.. May God never abandon us... |

Was it that they have not seen anybody that has it before or what? Let us keep fooling ourselves..... Time shall tell. |
I don't know why I laugh hard each time I came across all these figures released by NCDC, I can't just stop laughing...... Oyo state that is never on lockdown despite its proximity to Lagos state, just recently lift its curfew a bit reported 2cases in 3days now. With minimum death recorded.. God shall deliver us from all these evil and fear mongers |
[quote author=kamez post=89009222]Said it before and im saying it again, ending the lockdown is a bad idea..... for those who can afford to stay at home, i ll advice u to do so... For those who cant help but go out to hustle, i wish u luck.. For those of u attacking people like us for insisting that the lockdown should continue, this should be a wake up call to double ur hustle in life....if u have been working for over 3yrs and u still dont have enough savings in ur account to keep u and ur family under lockdown for at least 3months, then my advice to u is that when all this corona virus issue is over, pls re-evaluate and re-plan ur life..... work harder and smarter... shalom Honestly this is the funniest and dumbest comment have read here so far, for you to be able to feed your family for 3years while indoor is not sign of how wealthy or financially bounty you are but how lazy you have wired yourself to be comfortable in every situation you find yourself. Let me call your attention to something! Dangote as Nigeria richest man has never closed any of his company since lockdown, in short, do you think he doesn't a attend meeting? Even richest and largest economically country in the world have been have been working tirelessly despite highest number of cases to make sure that people are back to work. So for you to think that because you have money to feed your small family for two years is your greatest achievement, therefore, country should lockdown indefinitely is OK. No problem. |
I don't know why people are shouting that Lagos should not relax lockdown. It has failed! It definitely not effective and working so need to change strategy. For the fact that it works in other countries in Europe and america don't mean that it will work in Nigeria/Lagos even some countries in Europe are not on lockdown. Each country/state with is own peculiarity. Lets take Ibadan for example, since opening of Secretariat and lifting of curfew from 7pm-6am to 7pm-5am except on Sunday and Monday that they recorded 3cases total, for two days now they have not recorded any cases. No wonder buhary and his people have to copy his strategy, nobody wants to die, people need to be sensitised, informed make to obey the guidelines or protective measures. Mind you, we all know proximity of lbadan to Lagos o, even when you are traveling to osun state or north to Lagos you have to pass ibada and there was never lockdown in Ibadan. Are you now saying that Ibadan people are more civilised, sensitised and informed than Lagos people? But I know for sure that their is something NCDC are not telling us with all these figures they bring out every evening. Time shall tell |
Who still watches or listen to CNN? Fake news.... |
African countries can never be serious again, this matter is between death and life. Even Ghana is better off so far in the fight of this pandemic..... |
The fear of covid 19 have killed more people that the disease itself |

Whether we like it or not rivers state government is only government that has successfully tackles this corona virus due to it's promptly strict preventive measures. Unlike other states that allow their people to contract, treat, discharge or they died. The best way to fight this novel diseases so far according to ongoing research and available data is preventive measures. Financial gains do not equates life. |
jesmond3945:checkingproperly, you are the only fool I can see here, you that can't even make a contributions without insult, you did not make any positive points, you should have back your propaganda claim with verifiable facts. I never used to attack people online but seeing your comment ehhn, I weep for your background... |
Concerning the rate at which black people are dying of this covid19, what I've been able to gather is that, black people are the most expose to this covid19 in the US and UK, for instance they live most in remote place without proper hygiene, they are mainly essential workers ranging ranging from taxi/cab drivers, hospital attendants, receptionists, clerks, and many hazardous jobs, they take public transport to work and eat junk food in restaurants, coupled with they hardly get tested or having access to quality health care. Though, government should carry out thorough investigation to ascertain the major cause.... |
Heineken:she has seen it, thanks so much.... Good luck to every every |
Please let us be careful, their is no recruitment of any sort of any kind going on now, it is true that APL were printing before this pandemic and immediately it's over but currently everything has been paused. I'm moved to comment so that people will not take advantage of your desperation. As regard the PTDF, no APL were given last week not even last two weeks and no such will happen in two weeks to come, thanks. Note; this is not to discourage anybody but just warning. This is my little of contributions |
Heineken:Mr Heineken, please help to send the medical fitness report to my sister, she has been facing difficulty getting it God bless you sir. Mmaduperpetual93@gmail.com |
dapotemi:the best advice ever |
I thought you have been looking forward to divorce for few months now so why want to have her back? Well, what do I know.... |
carsprayer:every available vacancy will be filled as deem fit for structural growth. Eg. Some university have not recruited administrative officers over 3 years now so creating vacuum to admin officer11 position, so without recruitment such vacuum cannot be filled for structural growth. My opinion. |
Bconsortium:I mean federal universities, research institutions etc |
Bconsortium:I'm force to comment on this though, even me too nurture this same thought but I want to share my own little experience and facts have gathered. I've been able to gather that all the recruitment that is ongoing, ( I.e. received approval, funds etc) will be completed as soon as possible unless the warranted circumstances occur, but after this pandemic the major priority of government as regards the recruitment will go to health and institutions. Even the security will be those that have approval already, those that want to but awaiting approval will be suspended. So my advise for everyone is to be vigilant and use whatever connection he or she has to press button for any current recruitment that is ongoing now that are genuine eg ncsdc, nis, inec, nauth, uch,etc or be watchful of any teaching hospital or federal medical hospital recruitment. Thanks.. |
Good morning my people of nairaland, I just stumbled on this topic now so I was amazed to see comments of about recruitment that supposedly ended since last year. Please are you people talking about new recruitment in the NCS or the same one they started since April last year? If is the same of last year that means that their is trouble and system has irredeemably failed, an agency that was short of manpower, sought for approval and funds to carry out functions to filled vacant post for the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization, is still one lingering and delaying the processes. It is obvious that this people are not futuristic, the same organization that suppose to be preparing for another recruitment as a result of retirement, promotion, absconding, termination (I.e. terminal/relocation eg) and most importantly the expansion of units or department nationally as the case may be. I honestly believed that these people have finished all the advertised. My opinion please... |
Even without telling you, you should know that health institutions and security outfits are very essential to every nation even the world at large. Though I don't know about this UCH for now because their way of doing things very slow for my liking, despite that I'm not one of applicants but I don't know why lingering of such when indeed their is acute shortage of manpower ...! What do I know sha! |
real1000:80k plus was before the minimum wage increment |
bjnice:I've answer you on any of previous pages, I don't know, besides do you want me to say anything of that nature on this forum? Well! However, I don't know just read intensively on current affairs and history of UCH and other related topics...good luck |
kehnton:please I don't know much, sorry about that, but proof of identification and the invite message should be OK |
Yinbanjonic:next time try to read to understand before rushing to comment, I'm not saying that he didn't qualify for invite for exam but I said during the interview stages... That's the requirements, it was written boldly and instructively during the application process that is what I mean.. Take care |
Abeos:sorry to say this o, I'm not a member of the management but base on little that I know, you will be disqualified during the interview stage......but with prayers all things are possible... Note! This is not to discourage you or anyone that have similar issues.... |
