agaugust: Jane's defense 2015 report says SAAF drone inventory has been closed down, you are posting old photos of retired dead drones. That Vulture drone photo in the bush, does your air force wear that uniform and operate inside the bush to fly drones? The drone is listed as army drone.... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulture_(South_Africa_UAV) SAAF has no drone. You don't even know the difference between an army man and air force man IN YOUR OWN SOUTH AFRICAN MILITARY where you claim to be an officer. Now we all know you are fake ! 10 squadron has been temporarily shut down but the fleet of drones which were previously retired were revived and are doing the rounds patroling the borders dummy. |

Air forces don't do combat dogfight over the heads of civilian crowds in a city....you must be a clown indeed.
Lion Effort this year 2015 in Europe, SAAF was missing because the whitemen will not dogfight your unqualified pilots . Fake military researcher does not even know simulated dog fighting |

agaugust: Nigeria's NAF actually has one of the lowest crash rates in the world.
We flew over 3,000 combat sorties this year and lost only 3 aircraft.
Let us see another African country fly 3,000 air combat sorties in 3 months and we can then compare who crashes most.
SAAF did NOT fly one single combat sortie this year ! So how will we measure your crash rate when your air force is already dead and the corpse sent to Russia for resurrection? . F7 were never part of those phoney sorties Flying coffins |

True your submarine spent 7 years in dry dock, dailymaverick did not say all of them.
Every source that does not favour SANDF is tagged as bad. Sahara reporters were equally spot on about reporting details of Nigeria's war against terror. |

agaugust: SANDF troops stood their grounds trembling inside French army base at the airport
New MoU signed just 3 months before the Seleka atacked, which I posted source today, expanded SANDF mandate to include protection of property and human lives.....but your elite paratroops + cowradly special forces ALL abandoned the people of C.A.R in their hour of need.
Go take lessons from Nigerian army, navy and air force 10 year long war of saving human lives in Liberia and Sierra Leone, our army battalions are still in those countries today 2015, we have stayed there for 25 years. !
South African military will NEVER achieve that, your courage always fails in your chicken heart in your chicken republic. Where else will we take a flight to jet off the country? Obviously at the airport where french troops were stationed. You are right, SA will never achieve poor record of Nigeria's military history of running away from the enemy up till to another country. Nobody can eve let our troops to run to Zimbabwe leaving South Africa never. That embarrassment happened twice in Nigeria. |

. That's what all combat qualified pilots do and is no exception to what Nigerian pilots have done. Nigerian pilots have done the same but in a wrong way and ended up killing innocent civilians. |

agaugust: You are a liar, SANDF mission was signed and sealed on documents, mission included protecting property and saving human lives. PROVED :
"The new agreement detailed in the diplomatic note now comes under scrutiny. The diplomatic notes provide for the ‘reinforcement of the South African Contingent for self-defence, protection of property and saving of human lives in Bangui’. The expanded scope of cooperation to include – self-defence, protection of property and saving of human lives. "

No wonder even Sudan rifle boys in Toyota scares SANDF.....your army always remember defeat and humiliation by Seleka AK-47 rifles . The mission of SANDF in CAR was straight forward and that was to provide training to CAR troops as per requested by Bozize when he visited SA in 2007 during which MoU was signed. In return SANDF had to send personnel for security purposes. CAR had peacekeepers whose duty was to protect the locals and that was French troops who ran away when rebels grabbed the town, only SA troops stood their grounds. |

agaugust: SANDF mission included staying long term in C A.R to protect human lives, that is the final MoU mandate signed 3 months before Seleka attacked.
SANDF elite paratroopers and Special Forces all abandoned mission objective since almost 3 years now, you ran away permanently from where your country signed agreement to stay and protect human lives.
Cowards for life, your troops got medal awards at home for Olympic speed running from Seleka to hide under French soldiers protection . Look at this fool who does not know that SANDF has been to CAR since 2007 before they were attacked in 2013. iblawi: I expected you to accept you have problem with reading and understanding English. At least i proved to you that your qualified pilots are the once going to Russia for training. A country with no Gripen. What do you think that means?
Your government reduced the number cos they can pay for living expenses. Even though Russia taking responsibility for training. Listen to the person who has first hand information, not media wada wada. The original number of gripen pilots who had to go to Russia was 18 and about eight of whom were already qualified and subsequently had to be dropped in favour of those whose flying hours were not enough. Listening is a skill. |

Henry120: Jln115, why does the SAAF have only 9 pilots for the Gripen after 16 years. I've been trying to get an answer frrom Patrick, but the clown has been unable to answer. 16 years ago South Africa never had any gripens. We were flying cheetahs. Gripens were adopted as fighter platform of SAAF in 2010. Signing of an arms deal contract does not mean an actual procurement. All orders will have to go to the plants and take years to produce. If Cameroon orders JF-17 today does not mean they have it. They might see the first batch delivered in 2023. The source that your mates posted proved you wrong completely. It says. Ten 2-squadron pilots (gripens) were selected to further their training in Russia. Four are already undergoing training in Cuba. Four experienced pilots have resigned. So how does that make nine? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 9:06am On Oct 15, 2015 |
iblawi: Sorry dear, you are the one who have problem with reading and understanding English.
The majority of those going to Russia are qualified pilots but are short of flying hours to build their experience base. The lack of flying hours, also a result of a tight budget, has contributed in no small measure to this. English is my fuc..n language damn it! Those are junior pilots particularly young black pilots. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 8:36am On Oct 15, 2015 |
iblawi: And your so called qualified pilot are going for what training in Russia?
Or are your pilots going to acquire more flying hour
Don't forget Russia said they won't spend time on pilots who can't fly planes properly. Qualified pilots are going nowhere. Tell me do you have a problem with reading and understanding English. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:56am On Oct 15, 2015 |
agaugust: [s]Russia and Cuba have no Gripen jets or Gripen simulators so they CANNOT train a Gripen pilot to fly a Gripen.
This means SAAF Gripen pilots are so incompetent they have been sent back to learn the general basics of flying in Cuba and Russia.
Tiny Cuban island produces military men smarter brained than you South Africans
What Russia and Cuba are giving SAAF is basic flying course on Russian aircraft. It doesn't qualify anybody to fly Gripen.
You should know that if you are truly an air force officer.....or are you a fake as we suspect? . [/s] Off it goes into the rubbish bin where it belongs. Those are already gripen pilots who only are still accruing flying hours. It does not matter the platform. Stupidddd illiterate Nigerian. |

"Four of only the handful of jet fighter pilots in the SAAF have resigned leaving the force with three times as many Gripens as qualified pilots for them," the paper said.
This guy dull Sha.
The Gripens are three times the number of pilots.
No of Gripens= 26
26/3 = ?
Answer it yourself. Yes, that applies to only qualified pilots, but they are still more than Nine. Hours is what qualifies pilots but there are many pilots in SAAF who can fly gripens despite having accumulated enough hours. The number stand at ~9 (qualified)+10+4 + unknown |

. I got you where I wanted, you fool Bwahahahahaha… The source says. I quote A report has it that about 10 pilots from 2 Squadron at AFB Makhadohave been selected for further training in Russia. This is a direct outflow of a co-operation agreement signed between the defence ministers of the two countries, Afrikaans weekly Rapport said. Four pilots are already undergoing training in Cuba and according to SA National Defence Force Chief General Solly Shoke, agreements have also been entered into with the United States and the United. Quote closed. Where does it speak of nine?Gripens are based in 2 squadron and hawks at 85 combat FS. How does it become 10 (ten) and another four. The situation in SAAF is not about money, it is about transformation particularly affirmative action. The ANC wants to offload high number of white pilots to correlate with that of black pilots and be representative of the population of SA. The author of that article is lost, since the pilots who resigned were instructors who happened to be white. Currently SAAF is building talent from the ground through transformation. |
