The whole world of oil producers have falling income. Norway, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iran, Britain, all have issues. Yet Nigeria still has it's $ 30 billion cash reserve plus the special sovereign fund reserve in dollars as back up.

Learn to memorize simple information for at least 6 months kept in your head, I posted here many times repeatedly, USA refused to sell second hand Chinnook unarmed helicopters, Nigeria changed direction to Russia and we bought 18 brand new Mi-171 terminators armed transports better than the Chinnooks, all delivered and SIPRI records them.

Cobra helicopter USA refused to sell, Nigeria now bought 9 Mi-35 Hind E and dozens of armed Gazelles plus armed Eurocopter helicopters, photos have been repeatedly posted here for all to see.

We bought 4 new American version Alpha jets, photos shown here. Jane's Defence announced NAF is buying 6 Su-25 KM Frogfoot attack jets in a new deal and story web link was posted here repeatedly.

I think every South African has envy problem or medical condition of constant memory loss
.
All of the countries you mentioned above have more foreign reserves than Naija my friend.

Stop telling lies !

"Musina town - South African special forces troops have begun a six-month deployment along the troubled border with Zimbabwe, where rape, robbery and other crimes are commonplace. Two companies of Parabats - elite South African paratroopers deployed in recent years to Sudan, DRC and Burundi as peacekeepers - have arrived at a highly porous border in the first phase of a deployment."

http://www.irinnews.org/report/89262/south-africa-troops-reinforcing-a-porous-and-dangerous-border

SANDF elite troops in hundreds are deployed in combat to replace runaway Southie Police cowards
.
The police did not run away. It was just a change of policy dummy. Under president Thabo Mbeki's administration military was withdrawn from border posts and the police were entrusted with such duties. When Zuma came into power there was a dramatic change concerning the border patrol duties in which police were withdrawn and restricted to combating crime in the interior.

overhypedsteve:
what is your definition of a "Red area". Analyse that picture and tell us why you think it is a red area. Otherwise you are just stabbing the air in the dark, with the hope that you hit something. Right from the beginning of this thread we have always had one issue and that issue is the attribution of new definitions to terms to suit our arguments. Some people even go as far as creating new terms and terminologies while some scums go behind the scene to edit international open source information banks such as Wikipedia. Please tell us why that is a Red zone. That picture could have been taken from anywhere in Nigeria.
Your so called agubugubu, the fake researcher thought there will be no time a soldier will ever walk without a helmet in a red area or zone refering to how he's been ignorantly commenting about how SANDF soldiers are not wearing their helmets in what he thought was a red zone. I deliberately picked one of his pictures where the soldiers appeared not to have worn helmets to indirectly show him that it is not always soldiers would wear helmets even if they are in a red area. Within that red zone there are areas which have been stabilised, where soldiers can walk without uncomfortable helmets just to ease their head of a heat created by helmets. Thank you.

If i am not mistaken, Thesource henry is qouting is their "security" budget - which includes law enforcement and such
Correct, the budget was comprehensive of military and law enforcement agencies.

Henry120:
You classless liar!

The SANDF has not and did not spend $ 1 billion in a single fiscal year on the badger. Your quoted amount is spread over a significant number of years you liar!

The Nigerian budget is significantly larger at $5.7 billion.
Nigeria's usual defence budget is $2billion and the $5 billion was just a once off budget to deal with escalating insurgency and buy new weapons to resource your army and also to help an already military personnel which was poorly equipped.

Are you really a university graduate? Can you read simple English? The report says the gangs rob and kill, gangs so well armed that South African police with rifles have surrendered and handed over the fight to SANDF.

Fake BSc you have, you cannot even read your own source and quote correctly.
Media propaganda. The now defunct gang used to harass Zimbabwean women with toy guns and knifes that's all. The gang does not even have the capacity to challenge military and won't even dare to do it.

You need to prove they are in red area, mumu.

The second soldier has no gun, no rifle, not armed.

The first soldier is standing inside his securely fenced base, see his sleeping tent and personal domestic household items behind him under his tent....you this fake military academy graduate, you cannot even identify an army base. Dundeee.
So, you are insinuating that those of SANDF are in dangerous situation over what your troops are exposed to. We all know Boko can even operate right inside the towns of NE. We all know how hot is NE.

Nope, SANDF is fighting against armed Guma Guma gangs who kill, rob, r.ape, etc. That is why the source says it's dangerous operation :

"SOUTH AFRICA: Troops reinforcing a porous and dangerous border".

Your troops wear no kits at all, doing a dangerous operation in a danger zone where SA police has surrendered to superior Guma Guma firepower, leading the SA govt to deploy army elite paratroops there. Your SANDF wear no kit in danger zone where bullets kill.
Rapists would only be dangerous in the eyes of journalists but not military. No international rapist who cross the borders to rape women would force me to wear a helmet.

Nobody can ever deny that most of the 419 scams in SA are championed by Nigerian nationals. Your unfortunate businessman caught up with his brothers in diaspora and they duped him big time.

Why should I believe you when your own source says you are wrong, you think we are kids here?
My source never proved me wrong? Look at the first word of the article. MUSINA.

This is what the source say.

Two companies of Parabats - elite South African paratroopers deployed in recent years to Sudan, DRC and Burundi as peacekeepers - have arrived at a highly porous border in the first phase of a deployment that will see soldiers from various units return to all South Africa's land borders in the next few years.

You just made it worse !

The headline of the photo boldly says "SOUTH AFRICA: Troops reinforcing a porous and dangerous border".

Meaning your SANDF soldier was in a risky operation in a dangerous high risk zone with NO helmet NO body armour NO extra bullets just one mag NO webbings NO pouches NO kit at all tonguetongue

SANDF is a rag tag army as confirmed by you ! Thanks
.
Bwahahahajaa…

The border is not as dangerous as in the sense of borders between Cameroon and Nigeria or Niger and Chad. The borders were dangerous only in the sense of rape against Zbabwean women. Will rapists ever attack military? Nope.

That is exactly in Musina, the border town between SA and Zim. I am very very familiar with South African terrain from Limpopo to the cape.

That pic was taken in a safe SA and am 100% sure.

Prove it
That is in SA my friend. Google search the picture and you will see that the pic was used by various sources to write different articles about SANDF. I hundred percent certain this picture was taken from home.

That pic was taken in Musina, South Africa in the borders of SA and Zimbabwe. You can even look at the background.

When I see this pic it reminds me of Goma, South African base and Nyiragongo mountain. I really miss that lake where we used to make rounds with sappers boat.

Again, we see you acting like the Nigerian troops in the VICE NEWS journalists photo at Konduga are our only deployment.

Happily forgetting the men in Mali and Sudan. We too have shown you photos of NA troops in combat zone.

SANDF troops have been caught on camera doing combat patrol in war zone Congo DRC with NO helmet and NO body armour !!!
.

The burden of proof is on you making the false claim. Prove your claim first !

But those pics you posted were taken from residential area where I know 100% are risk free areas.

If there is no war threat there, no soldier would have been posted to mount check point there in the first place.

Your SANDF on war duty with one magazine per rifle....per soldier....in Congo volatile war zone grin
Just because Nigeria has war does not mean the whole of Nigeria is under siege. The UN troops are posted in Congo cities to station there and is not only SA troops camp you find. There are Bolivia camp, Indian camp, Pakistan camp, etc. Rebels would never come any closer, instead they are residing in the bush in remote areas.

LOL.....not only playing gisting on duty in war zone...

SANDF troops with one mag each for each rifle per soldier LOL grin grin
That area is not a war zone else there wouldn't have been that congo man on piki-piki, a motor bike like it is called in Congo. Also those women walking in a relaxed mood coming from the market on the background. African countries usually use market to sell commodities isn't?

Show us date stamp for the photo.

Congo DRC was NEVER been peaceful from 1997 when Mobutu died and war started.
Agubugubu, most of the towns in Eastern CONGO are safe. The economy, schools and all the activities such as clubbing and entertainment are going on smoothly without interruption. Many people like you seem to think that in peacekeeping mission there is war going on nonstop. That is no true my friend. You can deploy and finish your cycle without having shot a single bullet.

Patches said so....

Or is that Pretoria city they are patrolling ? UN deployed troops on mission inside Pretoria ?
Not all areas are war zone anywhere in deployments. There are areas where there is high risk and where there is none. In Congo for instance once you are in town Goma, Beni and others there is no risk at all.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:19pm On Oct 04, 2015
SANDF may lack complex military weapons but when it comes to personal equipments from boots, uniform, food, helmets et al, it does not compromise. Before anything else they will make sure every personnel is covered. That's one thing I respect SANDF for.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:12pm On Oct 04, 2015
agaugust:
So why were you telling lies that helmet is SANDF standard?

The Nigerian troops in the photo Patches have been repeatedly posting , removed helmets because of scorching sun in semi desert. So ?
A cap is also a standard issue in SANDF.

It does not make sense to wear bennies on a scorching sun only a cap to keep you cool.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:11pm On Oct 04, 2015

Thanks for showing us SANDF troops on patrol and all of them wearing cloth face caps in war zone grin

You just proved that your claim of HELMET AS A STANDARD for SANDF is a big lie grin

CIVILIAN CLOTHES MIXED WITH UNIFORM IS AN INEXCUSABLE OFFENCE IN MODERN FORCES.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 6:07pm On Oct 04, 2015
Does this mean this indian wearing traditional Indian dress was not issued with a helmet? Most indians in Congo, the area which I once deployed to, prefer to wear their traditional headdress when they were not on a battle dress. We prefered our caps to shield us from the scorching sun of Africa.

Photo Exhibit 3, South-African troops looking, what I can only describe as been utterly confused in a combat zone.

- Photo evidence 1

South-African soldiers, No helmets, No webbing.

No evidence of any radio

No binoculars

No knives

No water

No nothing

- Photo 2,

SANDf troops sitting and standing confused in a combat zone.

- Poor training evident again, troops ordinarily should spread out, form a defensive perimeter. Non-existent.

- only a single soldier has a webbing, now, no evidence of him carrying water, knives or extra ammo in his webbing. His webbing is completely empty.

- None of the other soldiers sitting/standing confused has a webbing on.

- No helmets seen either.

- Infact, they aren't even carrying their rifles. If there was an ambush........ Well, it's good night vienna!

Photo 3,

-Again the soldiers poor training is evident. Instead of been vigilant, the poorly trained soldiers a seen discussing, while what could be a potential threat is approaching their position.

- No webbing

- No helmet

- No water

- No extra mags

- No knives

Nothing !!!
Man you must go an visit a nearest psychiatric hospital.
