Patrick,

- SANDF troops in a combat zone, Photo exhibit 3

SANDF troops, of the 4 men, 3 are wearing body armours, while 1 has no body armour and no helmet. The other has his bullet proof vest, and isn't wearing a helmet.

* None of the troops have a body armour with plate carriers.

-I don't see any of them with an LMG

- No MGL visible either

- No binoculars are visible

- No comms equipment are visible

- No evidence of HE Grenades or Smoke

- No water

- No knives are visible

Your troops are right in their vehicle, yet no evidence of the above are available.

Things, if you cannot equip only 400 men, how do you plan on equipping over 35,000 men in active combat duties?
I have never seen a stupidd like you in my entire life. How can you tell all those items are absent just by looking at the picture? Stop your prophetic judgements because it won't work. Come on even water? Do you know that issuing of water bottle and steel helmet is standard in SANDF. You are not a soldier if you don't have helmet, dixie, water bottle, bush knife but please not to cut the head of terrorists, poncho, etc. We as officers we conduct inspection to see to it that the soldier has all the required equipments nicely packed in his big bag.

We are more than ready for AMANI AFRICA II to be held at Army combat training centre LOHATLHA. The only combat centre on the continent.

Patrick....... You retarrd,

The South-African National Defence Force is poorly equipped and poorly funded force! This is a statistical fact. Your men in the CAR lacked basic APCs and Medical kits. 400 men in the CAR had to share a single bag of medical kit.

If you cannot properly equip only 400 men, I simply cannot see the magic Pretoria can perform in deploying or equipping over 35,000 men like the Nigerian Army is currently doing.

- Photo Evidence 1,

SANDF troops in a combat zone, of the 5 men in an active combat zone,

-none of the men are wearing any body armour,

- none the men have a proper helmet

- the poorly trained soldier in front has it finger on the trigger. Shows poor trigger discipline, poor training. This is something you would never see with Nigerian Troops.

- Again, the poorly trained soldier has his pistol in the pouch meant to carry extra ammo.

- None of the troops bar 1, has any sort of webbing.

* Poor Training of the SANDF, photo evidence 2

- the poorly trained soldier yet again has his finger on the trigger, again, another confirmation of the general poor training SANDF troops receive ( To think this is a pre-planned organized event, and the soldier ought to be in his A game...... Is all the more shameful).

- Soldier has no helmet

- Soldier has no body armour.
How does one wear a helmet in no-war zone? Does a soldier have to wear helmet even if there is no need to wear it?

What does that stupidd soldier do with a public order riot dress because it is for police probably imported from SA.

1. USA new camo is more green, not foolish brownie like SANDF.

2. Citation ? See SANDF one camo in a green bush, I can sniper shooot off your troops coconut skulls from 2 km away, clearly visible. FAILURE
Any camo is visible under binoculars even if you camouflaged you will not be 100% hidden from snypers. So, how will your green camp help you?

I saw more of brown than green. It really depends what angle do you look it from and that's just how magic such uniform works.

SANDF standard kit ? I see your rag tag South African soldiers wearing no helmet or just cricket team players face cap in a war zone grin grin
.
Those caps are not a private issue. They are part of the uniform and it is an offence in SANDF to mix it with civilian attire. Those caps we use them whenever it is hot and the situation is not hostile.

Is South Africa a slave colony of USA so that if they do any wrong thing you must copy them like a slave with no brain of your own?

US Army has changed camo pattern several times in a fruitless search for one single camo for all terrain.

Anyway, the new USA camo is not brown like SANDF camo you dunce, the new US camo is much more of green .

SANDF brown camo is a failure in green jungle. The new USA camo is totally different from yours !
The only people who copy the US's camo patterns is Nigeria. All of their camo were either adopted from China or America.

Nigerian military use the following camos all of which were adopted from foreign forces.

*US woodland- from US
*Central European pattern- from France
*British Desert-2colour- from UK
*US 3-colour desert- from US
*SBS wear PLA type 99-4 colour oceanic pattern - from China.

SA don't go around copying patterns of other militaries' camos rather they copy from SANDF.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m):

1. USA and Europe have not all fully changed to one single camo, we proved that here last year, so don't drag us back. The NATO countries have no plans of going into any African green jungle to fight war, they don't care. Plus the new single camo is still under experiment and field testing, the soldiers are already complaining about poor blending with environment. Also, the new USA single camo is far superior to the tailors roadside textile material used for SANDF brownie uniforms, the USA camo is made to be far more green than brown.

2. South African brown camo is a failure inside African green terrain, it only works in your homeland brown environment. That uniform will get SANDF troops killed in large numbers by snipers in a green vegetation battle theater.

3. See your failed single brown homeland camo and compare Nigerian green jungle camo that we use in jungle terrain.

#ONE CAMO = FAILURE TO BLEND.....your army can only fight at home where land is brown tongue tongue
By next year the US will b using one universal ACU and has already been launched on the July 1.

I told you that our camo paterns works wonders just like a chameleon.

Soldier 2000 camo is not a play my child. Is not copied from China, US or Britain like what many militaries including Nigeria did. SA was not lazy to conduct their own research to come with its own unique pattern.

Bwahahaha… how do they leave people unemployed as if they are shutting down their businesses in SA. Your comment is very stupid. In fact most of the SA companies that invested in other African countries have most of the branches and headquarters in SA still employing people. They don't shut down their business and relocate it somewhere else. The business remains and all that they do they explore other growing markets in other part of the world.

What SA companies do is that they expatriate all the profit and expand their business in SA by employing more people to make the product that they will subsequently export abroad

No proof that many militaries around the world are now on one single camo, you sampled all the 150 countries armies around the world?

There is NO WAY one camo can work for an army in green jungle terrain, brown bush terrain, white snow terrain, mixed urban city terrain, yellow sand desert .

Look at your useless SANDF brown camo in a green vegetation terrain, your CLEARLY VISIBLE army will never blend with the environment, snipers will be knocking off your troops coconut heads from 2 km away grin grin
.
SANDF camo works magic at every terrain. It has a pattern that Americans have tried to figure out for many years.

So Nigerian soldiers too are justified for temporarily removing helmets in semi-desert hot climate. Tell Patches.
However, I still fail to understand how can your military men still wear private bennies on a scorching sun and still violating dress code by mixing uniform. A cap would have rather been better than a bennie. People wear bennies in cold weather.

Helmets are cheap and even rebels can afford to buy them and even extra ones to play football with. It is only that they are not allowed to make legitimate arms deal with any company.

1. The vice guy wore body armour and many most of our men wore same, we gave him.

2. SANDF wears same uniform because that is the only single camo army has, you have none for jungle terrain like we have. That Konduga battalion was reported by vice news as a mix of different army regiments from different terrain parts of Nigeria, jungle platoons mixed with dessert platoons, yes uniforms must differ.

You post no sources, you just post random photos.

Rag tag SANDF goes to war with soldiers wearing no helmet and some wearing Cricket players team face caps that I see in the stadium grin grin
.
SANDF can wear 20 different uniforms if it wants to but we do not want to stoop to that level of mediocrity. Many militaries in the world have joined our style of wearing only common camo for all armed services. It is very important because it limit potential impersonation from the enermy.

Helmets are cheap and we have a lot of them than you can count. Most SANDF troops in CAR couldn't wear it because they have been to CAR for long enough that they started to take everything for granted. I must admit that it is security risk to leave your helmet and bullet proof behind. There were also reports that some soldies complained about the heat because most of the countries in central and west Africa are hot.

SA has many private security industries which manufacture helmets and bullet proofs and I hope now they will device something which can be a lot comfortable to be used in climates such as those in central and west Africa.

We have the same issue here(in Namibia)local doctors and pharmacists preferring private practices and pharmacies while public institutions are left with foreign professionals(Who later also do the same after they realize how much money they can cash in) undecided Even our current health minister was pulled from his private practice to 'serve the nation' grin
The only way to deal with this is for both the government of SA and Namibia to change their policies regulating health professionals. They should force them to serve the community for 10 years before they can offer them licences to establish their private practice or even work at affluent health facilities. Now in SA they only give them 2 years which is not enough at all.

You can post more, we deployed 30,000 troops in NE. You deployed only 300 troops in Bangui and a photo of 5 SANDF troops showed 3 had no helmet to wear.....LOL....rag tag standards.

2. The Vice News guy wore no helmet, his black hair and whole head is visible in your own photo you posted.

1. The SANDF unit was drilling a suspect and searching him for weapons in a war zone, 3 rag tag SANDF troops had NO HELMET tongue tongue

Helmets and bullet proofs sometimes may be too uncomfortable and many troops across the world just feel like putting them away especially when the situation is not tense. However, that behavior may be dangerous you know.

South African universities are full of foreign students from other African countries, you use their bains to shine and claim rankings, you use their tuition payment in dollars to fund and beautify your well ranked universities.....how many Zulu dull brains are in your universities?

Your Xhosa dullards and other tribes cannot study medicine and surgery, so South Africa is importing foreign immigrant doctors from Nigerian universities to save your lives or your national health care system will collapse tongue tongue

SA universities have majority of bona fide South African citizens.

With regard to doctors, most SA doctors have private practices and most foreign doctors are utilised on public institutions.

No am smoking SK

Mumu read this pls.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the SANDF speciality is rape. Last year DA MP David Maynier disclosed that 93 cases of misconduct had been brought against SANDF members in the DRC. At least 23 involved rape, sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and assault of women. In a 2006 report about “SA’s sex-mad troops”, a member of the SANDF’s Operational Legal Support said many instances of sexual misconduct go unreported.
So we can assume that the 93 cases mentioned last year do not reflect the full extent of our troops’ sexploitation. Nor is the DRC the only country where they carry on in this fashion. Burundian women have also been victimised, and there have been cases within the SANDF itself. That is, members assaulting, molesting and raping other members.
Zuma may be proud of these bumbling sex predators, but many of us are ashamed. The SANDF is in fact a disgrace, brought to its knees by cadre deployment and a breakdown in discipline. Thabo Mbeki, in a typical over-reaction to the past, destroyed the commando system, which had been an important component of rural security. Very few would now expect the SANDF to be able to protect us against anything.
Rape does not even make grave breaches of Geneva convention. Beheading of suspects, POW and enermy is.

SA soldiers do not even rape, they buy sex fromprostitutes and some prostitutes even take advantage because they demand exorbitant amount of money and threaten rape if their demand are not met.

You said helmet wearing is standard for SANDF, yet I see open coconut heads of your troops ON PATROL DUTY in a war zone controlled by deadly Seleka rebels.

Bangui is the worst place to do patrol with no helmet for SANDF !

You want to crucify other people's troops and justify your own soldiers for doing the same thing ! Hypocrite.

Those SANDF troops are far away from base, beside a dangerous bush, inside enemy controlled territory, interrogating and harassing a Bangui man who was forced to half remove his shirt as they search him for weapons if he was Seleka, and SANDF troops were with no helmet in that dangerous mission where Seleka can spring out from the bush behind them or use sniper bullet to scatter the coconut heads of three of your soldiers with no helmet grin grin

SANDF has poor kits and rag tag dressing inside a war zone, no wonder Seleka defeated your Elite Paratroops there grin grin
