Nigeria's GZI invests R1 billion rands into South Africa's canmaking industry, targets production of 1.2 billion cans annually.
Time for Nampak to packs its bag!!..hehehehehe....see how Nigerian multinationals are colonizing African economies left and right.
That's wrong information. Nampak remains the largest canmaker on the continent. Standard chartered bank only goes into a joint venture with a south African independent can makers.

BusinessRe: Nigerian Can-maker Enters South Africa With $71 Million Plant by FighterPilot(m): 1:13pm On Sep 30, 2015
segello:
◾GZ Industries Ltd. of Nigeria plans to expand into South Africa with the construction of a 1 billion rand ($71 million) factory, becoming the second beverage-can maker after Nampak Ltd. to have operations in the country. Nampak shares fell the most in four months.
◾GZI agreed to a partnership with local packaging maker Golden Era Group and will build a plant in Johannesburg with annual capacity of 1.2 billion cans, the Agbara, Nigeria-based company said in an e-mailed statement on Tuesday. The factory will start operations in the second quarter of next year and supply other southern African countries, it said.

“This partnership with Golden Era accelerates our access to new markets across southern Africa, and consolidates our ongoing expansion efforts,” GZI Chief Executive Officer Motti Goldmintz said in the statement. “Upon completion of the plant, GZI will have the capacity to manufacture in excess of 3.5 billion aluminum beverage cans every year.”
◾Canmakers are investing to take advantage of rising demand for canned and bottled drinks in Africa, where many consumers are switching from subsistence existences and buying packaged goods for the first time. Johannesburg-based Nampak, the continent’s largest maker of beverage cans, is also expanding with new plants in Nigeria and Ethiopia.
◾Nampak shares declined 6.1 percent, the most since May 26, to 25.83 rand at the close in Johannesburg, valuing the company at 19 billion rand. The stock is down 41 percent this year, compared with a 0.8 percent fall on the FTSE/JSE Africa All-Share Index.
◾GZI is owned by a group of four individual investors, Standard Chartered Private Equity, Verod Capital Management and Ashmore Private Equity.

GZI is a foreign business masquerading as Nigerian company by allowing small shares of their hosts. Standard Chartered bank has done the same in Kenya by allowing Kenyans some small shares into the company. However, on South Africa they will go completely into a joint venture.

In the eyes of the law, a crime is a crime. Stealing $100 is a crime just like stealing $800, they both broke the law.
What a feeble excuse. Americans do not commit crimes of beheadings, such is cruel. Crime is not the same and is categorised according to its gravity. That's why you find people who get more harsher capital punishment than others for the crimes which they have committed.

Most people do not understand why Nigerian army had to behead this Boko Haram fighter :

1. Nigerian troops were forced by circumstances.....

2. The Boko Haram man refused to die from bullet shots.

3. He had juju or spiritual anti-death talisman, black magical powers.

4. The only way to kill him is with a metal blade like a sword or cutlass/machete

5. It's the reason troops all over the world are allowed by UN laws of war to carry Bayonets...long knives

6. Any enemy you cannot kill by bullet you are allowed by UN Geneva convention on war, to kill by Knife

7. What is wrong in killing by sword? In Bible and Quran days when no gun existed, how did soldiers kill?

8. In the olden days you use a sword and behead 100 enemies if you get a chance

9. There is no UN law that says an enemy fighter must be killed strictly by bullets

10. Nigerian army shot the Boko Haram fighter, he did not die, read the first page story from the poster again at the beginning of that other thread https://www.nairaland.com/2627990/military-cuts-off-head-boko/12#38508843, the Boko was a leader, he was said to be STRONG, so strong was his juju black magical powers that bullets failed to kill him, then Nigerian army had to use their UN permited legally allowed combat Bayonet to behead him.

It happens on some rare occasions on our streets in Lagos, OPC or local anti-robbery Vigilante (Even Issakaba anti-robbery vigilante in Igbo land) have caught armed robbers whose leader will be shot by bullets and still remain alive laughing, until the OPC or night guards/local hunters use a machete or cutlass to cut off his head.

Tell the United Nations why Nigerian army did it, Amnesty International does not make laws for war, the UN convention does it, and it allows the use of army mini-swords called Bayonets in battle, the law does not specify which part of the enemy's body you can use Bayonet to cut, just feel free to use it on him any part of his body considered necessary by you to effectively kill your enemy.

Bayonet is often called 'Weapon Of Last Resort' .....that is when Bullets fail in combat'

I dare the United Nations to challenge me on this.

I cant believe that any man who self proclaimed himself as military researcher can ever fall for this nonsense. Researchers are scientific on their approach and I wouldnt expect them to ever be swayed by any black magic nonsense. Admit that your military is cannibalistic and barbaric and have only done it to achieve their selfish ends by justifying their cruel action on a purported voodoo powers that a victim is said to posses. Your military knows well that even your best science professors in universities across Nigeria are superstitious and the evidence is written everywhere in your nollywood movies.

Lastly, UN does not govern the rules of war, Geneva convention is. Killing by beheading in war is disallowed. Use of explosive rounds and utilisation of civil services is disallowed. Your military violated rules of using civilian joint task forces in war and extrajudicial killing has always been the order of the day. So, your military needs to be reformed.

Again you are wrong. Americans were not actually commiting atrocities, they were merely disposing the remains of insurgents by burning. Those were already dead bodies. However, it was also deemed to be improper to have crimated bodies in that manner.

You are saying it cos this one got posted online.

My brother, a lot happens behind the scenes in war. I only used the American example to prove my point that no military, no matter how professional is innocent of acts like this in warfare (behind the scenes)

There's nothing extra-judicial about killing a terrorist. It's the best punishment that suits them. Those animals don't deserve a trial that will cost taxpayers money.
No matter how bad american soldiers can be told to be but they have never stooped down to this mediocrity.

....but you always said Nigerian army is afraid of Boko Haram, so now.....what ?
A bullet on the head is worth just more than enough. Beaheading an enermy is a symbol of cannibalism and frustration. It is unprofessional and barbaric. As a military you can never copy what useless and uneducated terrorists do. After insurgency has been brought to an end the current Nigerian military need to be disbanded and a new military be reestablished.

Fake air force officer, Meteor missile is still being developed, no air force has it.

.
You are truly a dumb military researcher and fake one for that matter. We have never discussed anything about whether the missile is in development or not. All that we wanted to know was "did it receive orders from foreign customers or not" Qatar also placed orders of 140 missiles to arm their rafale jets with an inescapable missile worth over mach 4 speed.

In development or not the best BVR missile in the world has already received orders and enters service with Swedish gripens next year while Rafale pilots and others will have to wait atleast until 2018.

200 soldiers vs 4000 rebels, that's a record that has never happened anywhere.

The first type 209/1400 was commissioned in Brazil in 1985. That is already 30 years old.

Tupi(S30) and Tikuna(34) are not the same. Tupi is type 209/1400 and Tikuna is type 209/1400MOD.

Ours is type 209/1400MOD. Can you see that MOD at the back? Brazil has only one modified version of type 209/1400 which was completed in 2005 and they call it tikuna-class and the two unmodified versions whose contract was signed in 1985 and commissioned in 1989. Brazil modified only one of their three boats because of financial constraints.
