You see how daft you are. The jurisdiction of the MNJTF was and is to secure the border regions and Towns near the border and hold on to them (including surrounding areas). They were not to take paparazzi with them to get glory.

They shouldn't have left the towns as Nigerian troops were advancing from the South.

The Chadians falsely told Nigerian troops that Dikwa was liberated only for Nigerian troops to walk into an ambush.

The Chadians and friends were told to make their requests through the proper channels so the facts could be established.

The Chadians kept going in and out of Damask without securing the surrounding area, hence BH kept returning.
That arrangement is very stup.id and it said to have been organised by the incompetent Nigerian military. What if the militants flee deeper into Nigeria? The MNJTF will not be allowed to go any deeper, isn't? so, the arrangement of responsibilities does not do MNJTF any good.

Your military is lead by clueless leadership whose aim is only to protect their ego and have no interest to serve the people of Nigeria.

The quote below equally exposes the lies you Southies help propagate by saying that our neighbours are doing all the fighting and is from your posted article;

"Analysts say boastings from regional armies should be treated with caution, as the Islamists are far from defeated and can easily regroup, especially if there is a let-up in the military pressure."
The problem is that you kicked the Chadian army out of your borders when they wanted to chase the rebels deep in your country knowing well that rebels fled somewhere they knew. What did you do when they requested permission? you kicked them out and told them the situation is under control and that you will manage to drive them out all alone. The insurgents did not wait for you to drive them out. They revisited Damasak when most people returned back thinking it was now safe. They were left all alone in mercy of Boko Haram since you kicked Chad out of your jurisdiction. The leadership in your military needs to be changed. It now good mews that the soon to leave, rotten political leadership has been changed, all that is now left is to reshuffle your current military generals.

Your military is incapable. It does not care about the security of the people.

Nigeria doesn't run it's Defence on pages of the internet. Neither is defenceweb an authority on the ground. infact they depend entirely on beegeagles blog for Nigerian military news.

However, here's one for you.

There's only one country in the world that supplies the MI-24V.

Here are 3 NAF MI-24V's, can you present a source that shows the delivery of 3 MI-24V's to the Nigerian military.

NAF 260

Gripen Vs F-7NI.

Jets and ISTAR unarmed aircraft don't engage. It's jet vs jet.....are you a fake fighter pilot?

Also, did I hear you say Gripen has ELINT like NAF ATR-42 ? Do you know what an ELINT aircraft looks like ? You this comedian.
F7 deserves to rest in the scrap yard, that's where it belongs.

Yes, only one gripen will tear your ATR-42 into pieces. Fighter jets do intercept spy planes.

False news again :

“Reuters news says fighting continued till early Friday when the soldiers retreated. The town has fallen and insurgents are fully in charge, they are more than 2000 in number.

But a military source dismissed the fall of Marte as untrue, insisting that there was still an on-going battle between the troops and the insurgents.

He also said: “It is true the military and the insurgents were drawn in battle at Marte, but I can tell you that the operation is on-going, we would not allow any part of this country to be held hostage by any hoodlums.”

On the attack on Mafa, Indi said the insurgents came in large number at about 6pm but met a stiff battle from the military.
He added that the terrorists retreated when they were not making any headway."

Nigeria has 20 Alpha jets all upgraded to 2013 modern European standard and 2014 American standard. The American versions fire PGMs.

11 F-7 jets with year 2005 radar and avionics, and a deadly modern PL-9C missile.

MBB 339 are in Italy for upgrade.

L-39 Albatross has Czech upgrade in the last decade.

Hawk jets have no radar and are just trainers in light ground attack role. The pilots have ZERO air to ground combat experience on the Hawks.

South Africa has 9 Gripen pilots not combat qualified but manageable to fly air show at Mandela's funeral only.

The radar on the Gripen are 1995 era...20 years obsolete Gripen radars.

SAAF Gripens have less than 1 missile for each jet aircraft...approximately 0.98 missiles per jet.

If I need an air force for a comedy show, I will hire South African air force.....your combat status will make the world to laugh !

South Africa is in same bucket with Malawi according to United Nations military rankings released in Congo DRC

NAF ATR-42 maritime radar did perfectly well in ground battlefield intelligence, detecting human beings and vehicles, your Super Lynx has nothing close to the full range of equipment loaded inside a whole aeroplane cabin like the NAF ATR-42....you compare a tiny helicopter to a huge aircraft loaded with ELINT stuff and ESM stuff ?

Show us the interior command and control console of your Super Lynx and let us count how many intelligence/surveillance analysis computers you have inside your tiny toy grin

See Nigeria below....ATR-42 ....no comparison in Africa...
.
Your ATR-42 will not help you against gripen and instead only one gripen will jam the whole system and crash it to the ground.

How was Cuba inspecting your SADF Cactus if they did not capture it? You gave your enemy your missile system as free Christmas gift?

Only you South African dullards think Germany and France were using a 1964 radar on their Rolands in 1985 to 2005. You fools grin

J Band or D band, SADF had 1960s Thompson radars. Nigeria has 1980s Siemens-Thompson radar. They are different.

Proof....SADF Thompson radar of 1964 is an older weaker version with 4.5 km altitude :

In July 1964, South Africa placed a development contract with the French company, Thomson-Houston (later Thomson-CSF) for a mobile, all-weather, low-altitude surface-to-air missile system. Mounted on the top of the vehicle is a Thomson-CSF pulse Doppler radar with fixed-echo suppression which rotates at 60 rpm and has a maximum detection range of 18.5 km against low-level targets with speeds of between 35 and 440 m/s and altitude limits between zero and 4,500 m .

Nigerian Roland radar is newer and more powerful, more sophisticated, it has 5.5 km or 5,500 m altitude

http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/roland.htm

Sorry loser, South Africa bought a useless type of 1960s radar and Cuban boy soldiers captured your air defences to examine it in their laboratory....what a humiliation tongue tongue
.
Such systems are old agaugust and well somewhere there and there will take a lucky shot and shoot down a target, but they are unreliable to use in the 21st century.

This man is calling something of the 70s newer

Run as fast as you can and buy akash because your air defence technology is compromised.

SA is known to be one of the best countries in electronic. warfare technology development. Even the likes of america will find it hard to fight in the airspace of SA, since their their avionics will be attacked electronically. We attack your Radio communication, warning system, radar detection and all.

Same Thales radar South Africa uses for 500 km range, except that Nigeria's version is year 2010 and more modern.

Cessna is a harmless toy propeller plane, it has no weapons.

Try fly low altitude in your Cessna through a THALES RSM 970.....on your way coming at low level evasion tactics (an evasion that will not work) , Nigerian army SA-7, Shilka, and Type 90 AAA will use y.ou for target practice....even Boko Haram will roast your Cessna propeller toy.

Ordinary Browing 50 cal machine gun on a Toyota will consume your Cessna in a war zone. Fool grin

Means from 500 km range away, NAF will detect all Gripen and Hawk jets with our Thales RSM 970 S Monopulse Mode S Secondary Radars, then F-7 jets and Alpha jets will be intercepting SAAF at 200 km away even before you can dream of dropping any Umbani bomb.
I have told you guys that fighting a country like Nigeria that has 60 jet fighters, is different from fighting Lesotho and Swaziland.
You won't even get a chance to face Nigerian army Roland.....NAF will meet your jets air to air before you approach Nigerian air space, our new THALES Radars will be seeing the inside of your own air space as soon as your jets take off from ground.
What do you think Nigeria is? Burundi republic?
.
Hahahahaha!!! I thought you could have mentioned anything of the fourth generation fighters. Your F7 will miss their way since their radar can track up to 50 kms. They cannot even challenge gripens on a dog fight. At more than 70 Km your SAM is already exposed and attacked with EW system. The hawks have already discharged the umbanis. At night umbani does not glitter, it is a smooth operator that will take out all your Rolands.

You only have 60 useless aircrafts.

Nigeria has ground based NAF radars with 500 km range.

I posted that few months ago from SIPRI....same time I posted SANDF radars that I proved were purchased in the 1980s era of old.

So how will that help you?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m): 5:26pm On Apr 27, 2015
Agaust, the radar pulses/waves emitted by SAM system and other systems is not the same at all. The gripen avionics will tell the pilot that there is an Anti air system on the nearby and will warn him not to come any closer. All of their tracking are directed upwards.

That's why modern militaries do not use radar guided SAM to larger extent anymore.

Nothing scary or special. The radar on the SAAF Super Lynx helicopters has a range of 350km+.

Error 1...

Gripen radar in ground operation mode for scan is 75 km and tracking is about 50 km.

Error 2....

Gripen radar will detect ALL vehicles on the 50 km road or space and will NEVER differentiate a Roland from other vehicles, radars show you dots and beep, ONLY a Tv camera can show you the what is a car or a bus.

I think we should leave this Roland issue alone before you Southies commit s.uicide today o !
.
You and your lies again. SAAF gripen use the latest radar system of gripen Jas 39 and you can clearly see that they say it can count ships from 70km away with an earlier version of radar. However, even at 50 it will see Roland and the hawk will automatically see the target since their data are linked and will send umbani and take it off. Alternatively, gripen attack with EW and flush Roland with free falling bombs.

Gripen radar can differentiate between ships, SAM and other systems.

How does a Gripen identify a Roland when there are other tracked vehicles, T-72, MT-LB, Scorpion, Shilka AAA....at 6 km above sea level, your pilot sees nothing on ground due to distance and cloud cover....at 40 km stand-off range radar is picking all vehicles that look like tanks from city to city over a long distance....confusion....cannot identify a Roland among the whole lot.....GPS is useless, the Roland is a vehcile and is mobile....can change position randomly.....laser designator is useless because your soldier cannot enter Nigerian base or territory as infantry will slaughter h.im.

You see why air to ground attack jet pilots are forced to take risk and enter range of enemy air defences, NAF faced that challenge against Boko Haram....only ATR-42 Surveyor was able to solve most problems of target identification and yet it had to fly within SAM range, but only AAA was a threat.

I am just education you South Africans about how difficult air to ground attack war can be, and how useless very long range weapons can be in a war....100 km range bomb looking for target in a distant city....waste of time when you face an enemy like Nigeria.

PHOTO : NAF ATR-42 SURVEYOR ELINT...DOING GROUND SURVEY TARGET IDENTIFICATION FOR NIGERIAN FORCES IN WAR THEATRE
.
The gripen radar can even count cars on the road from 70km away. It will definitely see Roland from 120km away.

Go back to page 2099 of yesterday, everybody saw that post that wrecked Patrick Of Gauteng beyond repair.

The list of Roland's jet aircraft victims is there, and Gripen/Hawk jets will join the list if you dare Nigeria.

Crime does not pay, avoid manipulating the truth on this forum, because you don't know the length I can go to prove you are a fraud
.
Just because it shot three or four jets does not make it effective. It has more disadvantages than advantages in 21st century.

The strongest point of Roland is when it is used during the day. When the gunner will only have to shut down the radar and instead use optical tracking system to manually track down the aircraft which they know its route and wait for its approach. However, such operation at night will prove very difficult since human eye view is only limited for day light and as well as the sights of Roland can only see during the day.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by FighterPilot(m):

I need only 2 points to demolish your garbage post above :

1. Nigerian Roland missiles are still active, displayed as missiles in service during public parade in 2013 Nigerian army days celebration, photos were posted here many times. NA has 300 Roland missiles combat ready today.

2. You cannot be flying Gripen jets and Hawk jets into Nigerian airspace and assume that Nigerian air force will be sleeping at home, not only you have an air force to use on an enemy's ground army, the enemy air force too will fly and challenge you air to air.

F-7 jets = 11 units
Alpha jets....both French upgrade of 2013 and American upgrade of 2015 = 20 units
MBB 339 jets = 12 units
L-39 jets = 18 units

NAF will meet SAAF in the air with Nigeria's 60 jet fighters, we have a very active air force today, tested and fearless pilots !
.
That does not change the fact that Roland is an old horse. Poverty has caused you to hold on to it for longer than you should. Gripen will kill that thing without any difficulty.

It will first start to attack it electronically to disengage its radar signal by sending false information. The gunner will now be in trouble as he will now be forced to track gripen manually. That's where the trouble will start?

Unfortunately, there is no single jet that can challenge gripen in Nigeria.

Roland will only shoot at gliding bombs but not free falling bombs. That I bet. How will it shoot when the radar malfunctioning? Even any jet with free falling bombs will kill it.

Roland altitude is 5,500 m.....at that altitude, the enemy jet pilot is blind and CANNOT identify any target on ground with certainty. That is why the war experienced France and Germany that designed Roland set that altitude limit for the radar, those European world powers are smarter people than your 50 million South African dullards.

Show us proof that South Africa had Roland radars....show us proof

Roland will not shoot when he is jammed. It was developed when the new/modern electronic warfare systems were not developed and thus it is not resistive at all.

Your country is currently vulnerable to Air attack. Your Air defence system needs replacement immediately. Angola and even Uganda will rubbish you without any resistance. They will jam your system dude and attack you at night when you will be having zero Air defence system to use.
