NaijaPikinGidi: Only an idi.ot like you will call or insinuate that the Boko Haram insurgents are peace and non-violent! I know where your heart is! No wonder your SA Police will kill innocent people in front of cameras and say it is right?I meant over 200 people killed under cross fire in Baga. In relation to Marikana incident, unless you were a blind man, miners could be seen clearly attacking police carrying blunt objects with an intention to kill. Those very miners killed two police men prior the incident, thus did you expect the police to just fold their arms and wait to butchered and hacked to death. No ways, even you NAijapikinGidi you could have shot the hell out of them especially when some of them were under the influence of a muthi thinking that they are invincible. |
blackchris: dude, the whole world knows that south africa's case is like the saying; "MONKEY DEY WORK BABOON DEY CHOP".. so keep up the good work. odeEconomic power of any country has nothing to do with the well being of its citizens and infrastructural developments. Over population stands to disadvantage any country and hit it hard in its pockets. Nigeria might overtake SA tomorrow as the economic power but it will take it many centuries to be where SA and Egypt is in terms of welfare of its citizens and developments. What matters the most is the GDP per capita which is used as the instrument to measure countries wealth. China is the second biggest economy in the world, but it will take China thousands years to be where UK or US is. Over 400 million people live in abject poverty in China under dilapidated shelters. Many cities in China are over populated and unhygienic, example in Africa being Lagos which accommodates more than 9million people without decent accommodations. |
South Africa does not have money and still under a huge debt according to Agaugust, yet it is about to start with a $16 billion tag high-speed railway link project between Johannesburg and Durban which are over 500Km apart. The project is due to start next year and end in 2020 with the final touches to be completed in 2025. http://mobile.bloomberg.com/news/2013-01-22/japan-proposes-high-speed-south-african-railway-link.html |
agaugust: SCAM ! NO MONEY TO BUY NEW WEAPONS. south africa is broke $40 Billion Foreign Dollar DebtIt seems to me that you know nothing about economics since there is no country that can survive without debt. Debt is not something that SA should be wary about. For instance, let us reduce everything to myself, I still owe a huge debt for my house yet I managed to buy myself a second car. Debt has got nothing to do with the procurement of those weapons, taxpayers money wich is collected yearly will buy those weapons. The US has debt which almost equals its GDP, yet it has more money to donate to the less fortunate in the likes of Nigeria. |
agaugust: .Two different scenarios. Killing rioting citizens is totally different than killing non-violent peaceful citizens. |
South Africas National Defence Force procurement programme will soon be realised as early as 2015. SA Navy 1. Project Biro (Procurement of IPVs and OPVs), Subs and Covettes SA Army 1. Project Hoefyster (Procurement of IFVs) 2. Project Aorta ( Procurement of new battle tanks) 3. Project Sepula ( Procurement of APV) SA Airforce 1. Transporter planes 2. Missiles ( long and medium range SAMs, ASMs, AAMs, etc) 3. New modern Gunships and utility helicopters. Watch this space!!! |
SOUTH AFRICAS NEW ARMS DEAL ESTIMATED AT OVER $10 Billion COULD SEE MY SQUADRON ACQUIRING 25 BRAND NEW US MILLITARY TRANSPORTER PLANES TO REPLACE C-130 Hercules. This is according to the information that I heard from one top officer. The details of the deal is secretive but according to the sources the new VIP planes for the president, his deputy and ministers are also on the card. Moreover, there is also a greater possibility that two more submarines will be procured. Watch this space!!! http://gosouthonline.co.za/62068/secret-arms-deal-on-the-cards/ |
agaugust: i have known that information over ten years ago. do you want me to lecture you on that topic ?Your brain is to small to lecture me. So, I hope you will understand the contribution of Israel technicians on Cheetah project that they were to intergrate the technology of Kfir to an already built Cheetah, since Kafir was renown for its dogfight advantage over Russians MiGs. However, The fact is Cheetah C was built by South Africans from scratch without any mirage airframe. Believe it or not and in that case I won't need to be lectured by least of all Nigerians whose education does not even have value. |
Here under is the American plane which was used by Israel to integrate its technology to South Africas upgraded Cheetah to fight Cuban MiG-23: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IAI_Kfir |
agaugust: hahahaWrong!! South African technicians always mustered the technology behind the Mirage. During the bush war many were hit by Cubans Russians MiGs and were brought back to life by South African technicians. Denel Aviation serviced those planes themselves throughout their tenure in SA Airforce. Israel technicians were only used to combine the newly upgraded mirage with the technology of their plane to make it more powerful. In other words the cheetah used combination of technology from French and Israel plane. |
agaugust: you quoted from wikipedia ? an invisible weblink ? how do we verify your claim ? 33% south african brainYou know what I am such a busy buddy. I cannot do everything for you everytime as if you are a high school student, because sometimes is necessary to vibrate your brain cells by just using a google search icon. Spoon feeding is not a way, anyway wikipedia is your friend. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlas_Cheetah I hope you will find it user friendly and discover that Cheetah C was, infact the only model of Cheetahs that was not build from Mirage airframe. This is what we have been taught ever since we joined the Airforce. Does it hurt you to find out that actually Cheetah C is the only model that was not build from Mirage airframe. |
saengine: Cheetah was built from the Mirage airframe.Wrong, not all Cheetahs were built from Dassault Mirage airframe and I quote: Sixteen of the SAAF's 27 Mirage IIIDZ/D2Z aircraft were converted to Cheetah D standard, 16 of its Mirage IIIEZ aircraft were converted to Cheetah E standard, but no South African Mirage airframes were used for the 38 Cheetah Cs. That excerpt above was quoted from wikipedia. |
Roland SAM is outdated at this day and age. |
2smooth2shout: and you confidently typed this rubbish with the hope of feeding it to your fellow ignorant gullible south africans.Nigeria uses Rolands, Sorry for that mistake. |
Just only by googling the Nigerian SARS the response was bad news. It looks like this Special Anti-Robbery Squad of Nigerian police are just plastic police and clearly are no match to the SAPS special task force. http://www.google.com/search?client=ms-rim&hl=en&q=Nigerias%20SARS&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&channel=browser |
2smooth2shout: in photography, YES. But in real hostage rescue and counter terrorism we are way beyond you.South African special task force is internationally recognised for its role in the 30 year long bush war. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Task_Force_(SAPS) The link above will give you a link to India and South Africas task force from the starting of the page. Just click to South Africas. The reason I did that I wanted to prove to you that SA task force is among the known Special task force in the world. |
Agaugust is just claiming that Nigeria has the most powerful air defence artillery in Africa. That is very wrong, infact they have most weakest air defence of all top military powers in Africa and have never upgraded it ever since. Who ever told this boy that SAM's are still effective air defence at this day and age is very wrong and only heaven knows what a disgrace he fed on this buddy. SAMs were undoubtedly the most effective air defence in the 80s and early 90s and now ever since the introduction of the 4th generations fighters, SAMs missiles are ruled out as the most effective weapon to stop such a latest technology. Fouth generation fighters run even faster than SAM missile on its own. I understand that @Agaugust is a civilian who gets to be fed wrong information by Nigerian soldiers who know nothing about the latest technology. Most of agaugust analysis are based on civil perspective point of view and there is no doubt that this man is just an imposter pretending to be working for the US defence industries. If indeed he was a researcher he wouldn't have considered SAM as the best air defence missile and for that I bet. Let him go and ask his bosses in America and ask them why did the US dumped the use of SAMs as an effective air defence weapon. |
2smooth2shout: i meant SARS. Typo error.Your SARS will never come close to SAPS special task force. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Task_Force_(SAPS) |
There is no Army in Africa which can stop BRAZIL Lets test Nigeria: NIGERIA VS BRAZIL NIGERIA. Total Manpower: 100 000 personnel Military Budget: $2.5 billion Economy: GDP: $500 billion External Total reserves: $35 billion BRAZIL Total Manpower: 375 000 personnel Military Budget $35 billion Economy: GDP: $2.3 trillion External Total Reserves: $375 billion I hope everyone here will see that agaugust claims about the weakness of Brazil military are unfounded. Brazil have been buying many weapons in the past few years. Brazil is one of the top 10 most powerful militaries in the world, thus with their zero combat history they will flush Nigeria away in few minutes. None of the soldiers who fought during Biafran is still wearing the colours of the Army in Nigeria. Nigeria has been recruiting a number of inexperienced young men with zero combat experience, thus, their so called combat experience will not help them against a 375 000 force. Brazil will harm Nigeria badly until the AU and UN come out to speak on behalf of Nigeria. http://www.globalfirepower.com/country-military-strength-detail.asp?country_id=Nigeria |
andrewza: You really think so?@2smooth2shout is obsessed by Hollywood movies. America is not even as violent and dangerous as South Africa. That US swat or whatever they are dealing with weak criminals. |
2smooth2shout: the last line has to be a joke. they are not half trained as US tactical team but the tactical team training is not considered to be of special force level.I am a soldier myself and I know that during war or to be more specific when the whole country is under attack, the military will have to utilise everything in disposal to realise victory. The large number of reservists and those who have military experienced will have to be recalled. Now tell me why would the military leave behind this highly trained unit, since many of them come from the military. Their selection is much tougher and not really easy to pass. |
Mike..ZA:Exactly!!! It would have raised suspicions that SA is projecting herself as a superpower and imperialist. There is no way seleka would ever stop SA when it comes with a full force armed with heavy firepower. |
NaijaPikinGidi: Joker!I like it! I know you understood me very well and it is just unfortunate that it is embedded in every Nigerian's blood to deny the facts. |
NaijaPikinGidi: Are you really serious about your comment above? And don't you think it is an indictment on your SANDF that your SAPS will need to be brought in to do military operations? Do you now see the reason for our correct views about the weakness of your SANDF despite the shiny weapons they exhibit whenever there's a camera operator around? In other climes it is the military that comes to the rescue of the Police ... as such it is very clear why your CAR disgrace happened! Your SANDF were busy waiting for the Police who were rather busy dragging people tied to the back of Police vans. You really do not understand a thing about the special task force. They are the "special force" of the police to execute special operations, such as hostages, terrorism, etc. Thus, yes! as a highly trained force they have the capability to execute special military operations if the need arise. |
sambos994: Why do they wear military camo?So that they can be distinguished from a regular police force. They are the highly trained division of the police and very skilled to use different types of weapons. |
chris365: thank you for closing the argument.Whites in South Africa are not segregating themselves. Orania was established early 90's by some disgruntled apartheid supporters. The community is very small and does not even exceed 5000 and if there was any proof of growth, their ranks should have swelled to much greater numbers than imagined. Whites in SA do not show any interests to live in Orania away from blacks because many of them do not support the philosophy behind the establishment of separate state in democratic SA. |
chris365: everyone knows south africa has weapons and money to purchase more. But the real issue is that your personnel lack the experience and expertise to use those weapons in real conflict and not those marketing photos you've been showing.I beg to differ, South Africa has a large force locally and mainly deploy newly inexperienced force within age (20-22)dubbed the young blood. In that case come and try us in our home to see if we cannot use our weapons effectively. |
SANDF acquisition plans for 2014 revealed http://itweb.co.za/mobilesite/defenceweb/home/item_id-25039/ |
SANDF is secretly swelling their numbers for their mission in Africa. Below is the link that they are expected to recruit 11000 troops next year. http://www.zenzelesecurity.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=121:sandf-to-recruit-11-000-next-year |
South African Military is larger than we think: BELOW IS THE SOUTH AFRICAN MILITARY RESERVES WEBSITE AND THOSE INTERESTED CAN JOIN: http://www.rfdiv.mil.za/index.html |
andrewza: Bifar happened years ago any experiance is long since forgoten, nigeria is not a jungel warfare expert. Liberia and serrie leon? EO did a better job even beagel blog agrees.Brazil military will crash Nigeria in just few hours. |
