molydonhenry:Herdsmen exist, true. But what I still don't believe is the lies being told everyday, which is Fulani herdsmen carried out the nimba uzo attacks. Till date nobody has brought any concrete evidence that will implicate the Fulani herdsmen as the real culprits. All I have been hearing is hearsay |
GogetterMD:The entire Fulani herdsmen attacking a community for no just reason doesn't make an iota of sense. Furthermore, I was able to identify the major grazing fields for the Fulani cattle in Nigeria. And the southeast is not on that list, meaning Fulani herdsmen rarely take their cows to the eastern part of this country. Borno state is the number one grazing destination for Fulani herdsmen. So I challenge anybody from Enugu or southeastern Nigeria to just show me one picture of Fulani herdsmen grazing in their lands. |
Suspected herdsmen!!! Now the question is; why would any "herdsmen" just wake up one morning and start killing innocent people indiscriminately even without any provocation? From this report, one can clearly see that the herdsmen and the community have never had any clash, no herdsmen/farmers clash was ever reported. I googled and studied the demography of that nimba uzo community yesterday, and I couldn't even see any place were a single cow can graze. The grasses over their were not the type of grass the average Fulani cattle will eat. Anyway after I did my little research, I sent my work to the appropriate person. Like I always said, this "invincible herdsmen" story must be unveiled. And the truth will speak at last. MODIFIED* Just like I anticipated. No proof whatsoever but everyone has resorted to insults. Someone even said that he just passed some Fulani herdsmen in Enugu. I mean the same Enugu that many people came here to tell anybody that cares to listen that "all Fulani herdsmen" have abdicated some few days ago. Why are people contradicting themselves for goodness sake? Anyway why did the moderator changed the real heading of this thread? Very funny. Initially I thought some logical minds will counter my claims, but I guess I underestimated the thinking and reasoning capacity of some people. Fulani herdsmen might have committed one atrocious act or another in the past, but this latest claim that Fulani herdsmen ransacked nimba community is what I will never believe until I'm shown concrete evidence. But for the meantime, whatever anybody say is just hearsay and I will never take such reports any serious. Fulani herdsmen are not invincible for crying out loud. I'm sorry if I didn't sound like the average typical Nigerian to you people, but facts{thats if there's any}shouldnt be fictionalized |
oduastates:This video doesn't confirm anything. You listed a lot of atrocities committed by whoever and you pinned everything on Fulani herdsmen without any proof nor evidence. Now I ask you; Is that right? Anyway this whole fulani/farmers fracas has become stale. People always portray the Fulani herdsmen as the villains while absorbing the farmers of any atrocious acts. And this has always being the problem. Nobody wants to look at the issue holistically, but everyone wants to politicize the unfortunate events. Do you know that some farmers secretly kill Fulani herdsmen even without any provocation? These things do happen often but the media always suppress such news. |
oduastates:Stop jumping from one thread to another posting total balderdash without any proof. Now where is your evidence that Fulani herdsmen committed all the atrocities you mentioned? From your cognomen, it clearly depicts you as a south westerner. I don't know why some of you guys are good in lies and propaganda |
Onenaira1:Look I'm not interested in whatever you wrote up there, but labelling an entire ethnic group as devils is wrong and doesn't say good about your state of mind. Seun, mynd44, like I said, I still don't understand the double standard when it comes to banning monikers here |
SeverusSnape:Yeah I didn't see that earlier and that's why I reedited my comment. But isn't it funny that any attack that happens in that other side of the country is now attributed to "invincible herdsmen" ? From all the herdsmen atrocities I have been reading of lately, no media have ever shown a picture of a single herdman nor that of his cattle at the scene of the crime. And I still don't get it. We are in the 21st century for crying out loud, were cameras are available everywhere |
So now any attack in the southern part of the country is attributed to herdsmen. Funny nation funny people with junky journalism |
Boko haram killed some herdsmen last week!!! And the news just came out today. Nigeria and her junky journalism. And the supposed "educated" people have already swallowed this junky news. Funny |
Well the people of kano don't do party politics especially at the state level. They normally fellow the candidate's personally and that's why a person like kwankwaso was able to win governorship elections twice under PDP while the current governor won as a APC candidate. So I don't think there is anything surprising here for some of us who understood kano and northern politics |
Rich4god:You want me to insult him before? Abacha has his shortcomings but he is not as bad as people are painting him. There are many good things that abacha did for this country and people don't want to talk about that |
Allah ya jikan general sani Abacha. Allah ka sa ya huta. Ameen summa ameen |
The president has already spoken through his special advicers and information minister. All the points you raised are baseless and very unnecessary. For the fact that he has directed his CDS and IGP to trail the ravaging herdsmen and put an end to the menace, I don't know what you want the president to do again. Like I rightfully stated in one thread, the herdsmen that carry ak47s and riffles are not the average Nigeria herdsmen you know. Those guys are from Niger republic and chad. And they normally move around with weapons for their protection and that of their cattle from rustlers. Yesterday on my way to abuja, I saw some herdsmen with their cattle along kaduna-abuja expressway, i was a little bit curious so I had to stop to ask them a question. And the answer they gave me didn't surprised me one bit. They said they were from Niger republic and they that came to Nigeria to feed their cattle. So people should always get their facts right before jumping into conclusion |
You know the problem of you and your people especially the easternmost part of this country; is insecurity and your northernphobia. Whatever you do or whatever type of plan you want to make, believe you me, as long as you people still harbour that northern phobic attitude in you, no unity among your regions or whatever will solve your fears or create some pseudo unity among you people. I was a northerner when Jonathan was there and I will still be a northerner no matter who occupies the juicy seat without the fear of anything or anybody. I don't wake up every morning thinking that somebody will christianize Nigeria like most of you people over there do. The first step of forming a firm unity between two or more groups is having a sound peace of mind. Mr op, I hope you will take this as a friendly advice from me to you |
You guys are funny. Instead of finding a proactive measurement to tackle this ungoing clashes between these invincible "herdsmen" with no single record of their cows, you people are busy politicizing it with your one sided sentimental reports. You think insulting the president or Fulani people will solve the problem? Well if you people believe that you will use this "unfortunate incident" to tarnish the image of the president and Fulani people, then I guess you people should better have a rethink. You don't like the president and Fulani people, well that's cool. Guess what we also don't like you but that doesn't still mean the average Nigeria fulfude tribe will attack any ethnic group without any provocation. You people should better go and look for the "herdsmen" that are attacking your communities and leave us out of your tomfoolery. Besides with the latest police report a friend mailed to me, I'm even beginning to doubt the authenticity of these "invincible herdsmen" attack. And for your information Mr op, you and your kinds are so inconsequential in the scheme of things. |
So if I were to go by your analogy, then it will be right if I say buhari has been the one sponsoring these herdsmen's atrocities from time immemorial. Like I already said, politicizing these unfortunate events won't help anybody. A proactive measurement need to be put in place instead of pointing accusing fingers. Just because you people don't like the president doesn't mean you should throw your brains away. The Enugu governor was alerted that an imminent attack was about to occur, what did he do? Now everybody wants to blame buhari because he is fulfude man. I don't know, but there is something I have come to understand with these recent, bias report of herdsmen atrocities by the junky Nigeria media houses. Anyway that should be for another day. Before it was the daily reports of boko haram atrocities just to paint the presidency black, now they have diverted their attentions to herdsmen atrocities. But the president is a winner and I'm sure he will overcome this. |
bobluck:You can't see me or locate me? What are you going to do to me if you can locate me? Look young man be careful. I don't take threats likely from anybody neither I'm I scared of any human being. This might be a faceless forum but you really have to be careful. I can get you arrested for this your reckless statement. And if you think tracing you will be difficult then you better have a rethink. You don't know me and you are threatening me. I'm very sure you will pee in your pants if you are left with me one on one. Your likes are not even worthy to clean my shoes and yet you are sitting somewhere very comfortably threatening me on a faceless forum. Be careful young man. I'm not the type of person that an inconsequential you can threaten and then go Scot free. Be very careful |
bibinwaka:The herdsmen especially the ones coming from neighbouring countries are also giving us serious problems. My dear the issue is not about who attack first but how the clashes can be resolve. I believe we are all civilized people |
asha80:You made a nice submission. We should also not forget that the atrocities of these herdsmen are not only restricted in the south, but also in the Northwest. The northwest governors stood up and tackled the problem head on. That's when relatively peace was established between the herdsmen and the farmers. Politicizing every issue is not always the best way to solve that issue |
drss1:Just 14 days ago in abia state, many fulani people were killed and some were even buried alive. What did nigeria media outlets do, they all downplayed it and some were even insulting DSS for bringing such discovery to limelight |
oduastates:Yes I know they farmers are no their lands. But my friend do you think is actually proper for the farmers to kill any herdsmen just because their cattle encroached their farms? It is not right. Take for instant what happened in plateau state some years back. Do you know that the berom people just woke up one morning and started killing Fulani people just because a lady had some misunderstanding with Muslims at the Friday mosque praying ground. The killing of Fulani went on with even the support of the then governor Joshua dariye. Nobody talked about that but the moment Fulani people took their own reprisal attacks, the media houses started painting the Fulani people as the villians. We just all have to find a common ground in finding a lasting solution to these problems, but politicizing it won't help anyone |
theV0ice:Did you just said that how many herdsmen are killed? My friend you need to check your head and your conscience. So a herdsman life doesn't matter because he is not a being? Playing the victim card won't resolve these issues. Do you even know there are some communities in west Africa who kill Fulani people and use some parts of their bodies for fetish things? Look all these things are not new news, the have been happening and media houses don't talk about them. |
People have to be careful. If you think you are dealing with the average Nigeria fulani/fulfude group then you people should better wake up. I'm a Fulani man and I know what I'm talking about. These herdsmen carrying out all these atrocities are dangerous herdsmen from other Africa countries e.g chad, Niger, Sierra Leone, Gambia, guinea, Senegal, Mali etc. Normally they rarely attack any community until they are attacked first and they don't understand anything called fair play. They have a very wide network that cuts across the entire African continent. My problem with the hypocritical Nigeria media houses is they hardly report any killings of these herdsmen by the local community, but the herdsmen reprisal attacks are always reported. To me this is insensitivity. We all know how innocent Nigeria herdsmen are killed everyday by the locals, but nobody wants to talk about that. The agatu people killed many innocent Fulani herdsmen before the herdsmen reprisal attacks, but how many media houses reported that? All we were hearing was Fulani ransacked agatu community. People should be careful, if you think these herdsmen don't get to hear news about how their fellow brothers are killed and their cattle rustle, then we are not serious about solving this crisis |
ladies make this little mistakes everyday. When a guy that truly and wholeheartedly loves them found a way to cheat on them with another lady, they just go crazy not minding the fact or without considering that their man really really loves them. No man, I repeat no man on this planet earth is completely immune of some "cheating cells" in him. We(men) all have that particular lady we admire and wish we can flirt with. A man can cheat on a lady by admiring the curves of the next lady, he can cheat on his lady by secretly sleeping with her close friend, he can also cheat on her openly. But do all these misgivings make the man love his lady any less? What I'm trying to make the Lady folks understand is that; a man cheating on you with another lady doesn't necessary mean he doesn't love you any less. I'm a man and I know what loving a woman means. |
I find the last(4th) picture funny. ![]() |
Amitex:Absolute balderdash you said up there. The same rhythm was song about boko haram and today we all know who is feeling the heat. Let Me tell you, if a government want to seriously deal with any terror group, the can do that in just some months. Who are militants? Are the invisible or are they magicians? I don't know how you guys see those militants over there and honestly I don't care. One thing is for sure, there time is almost up. Just watch and see |
yaki84:Farc rebels exist only because the Columbia government wants them to exist. Go and learn more about the history of farc rebels, Escobar and Columbian government to know more about government hidden conspiracies. Wasn't boko haram the deadliest terrorist group some few months back? And can you tell me their faith today? The boko haram are taking a hard beating today because the government of the day don't want to tolerate them and their nonsensical foolishness. If terrorism acts exceed between two days in a country, is either the government are supporting them or the government doesn't want them to stop - late General Sani Abacha |
chukwudi44:Sorry but what do mean with your reckless statement of "provoking other mends commanders"? Are the mends commanders above the Nigeria law or are they any bigger than the federal republic of Nigeria? Why are you guys pushing this ignorant militants to their early graves? Is blowing gas pipelines and putting everybody in darkness the right way to go about with their agitations? If you say/think what the militants are doing is right, then we will all agree that what boko haram are doing is also right. Let me tell you my friend, everybody have his/her right(s) in this nation and nobody's right should infringed on the rights of the other person(s). The Niger deltans have every right to enjoy a better living and I and other Nigerians also have every right to enjoy a 24hrs constant electricity supply. And let me remind you, the militants have already done their worst so nothing will surprise an average Nigerian of any action that the militants will decide to take. What every responsible Nigerian want is to see the government of change which we voted for tackle the menace of pipelines vandalism by unscrupulous elements called militants |
