kettykin:These are big fat lies http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/178529-nigeria-denies-hiring-mercenaries-to-fight-boko-haram.html |
Pidggin:What are you saying? Can't you see how boko haram are been decimated everyday. Just watch and see what will happen to the avengers in the coming few days |
kettykin:Provide a single picture evidence of your claim and stop running in circles. You made some allegations so you have to show us some proofs. That's the problem with many of you here, you just say things without any evidence to backup your claims |
kettykin:The sources of all your allegations are untrustworthy sources. And the never made any reference about how south Africa soldiers are at the warfront in combating boko haram. In the military onslaught against boko haram, have you ever seen any foreign mercenary in their pictures? What will Nigeria military be doing with foreign mercenaries when they have enough men to fight the insurgents |
kettykin:And where is your evidence that the military used south Africa or any other foreign mercenaries in routing out boko haram? Stop making false accusations young man. Let the economy bleed, Nigeria will damn all the consequences in dealing with the avengers |
seunmsg:May God bless you. You hear supposed educated people shouting that the avengers can't not be dealt with. I don't know how they view them in the creeks. But only an unstable mind will think that the military can't deal with the militants. Boko haram can narrate their ordeal to this avengers. Of course we all saw how boko haram madness was only restricted in the northeast by the military, and I guess that is what will happen to this new avengers group |
I don't understand what the Mr rabe is saying. What did he meant by "the vandals are not Nigerians" ? If they are not Nigerians then who are they? Jamaicans!!! And the other man named Paul boroh is a clown. Why is he exempting and at the same time exonerating these militants. Ex-militants and the avengers are one and same thing. He should stop deceiving himself. The buhari led administration should unleash all its brutal military force on this militants, whether they repent or not. Amnesty for any criminal group is the greatest undoing any government should do, and even though yar'adua was a peaceful man{may he continue to RIP}, but he really made a big mistake with the amnesty thing. P.S Buhari shouldn't succumb to any blackmail by any group. He should use brutal force on any group that wants to hold Nigerians and Nigeria at ransom. People were against any kind of negotiations with boko haram which was right. Military clampdown has been unleashed on rampaging herdsmen. The militants are not an exemption from the numerous terrorists groups we have in this country. Buhari should deal with them decisively. |
Acting Director, Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Rabe Abubakar The Defence authorities have vowed to arrest those behind the attack on oil installations in the Niger Delta. The Acting Director, Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, told our correspondent on Friday in Abuja that the military was liaising with the relevant security agencies to ensure that the culprits were apprehended. Abubakar said that while he was not aware of the latest attack on the pipelines liking Kaduna and Warri refineries, the government would liaise with other countries to stop the act. He said those carrying out the sabotage of the nation’s economy were inflicting injuries on themselves as the country belonged to everybody. Abubakar said that it was inconceivable for a Nigerian to attack the nation’s economic base and to claim responsibility for it. The spokesperson said the military would not be deterred in the commitment to perform its responsibilities.” He said, “Whoever is doing this thing is not above the law and I believe, one day the law will catch up with him, but definitely they are not Nigerians.” Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Brig.-Gen. Paul Boroh, has condemned Wednesday’s attack on the facility of Chevron Nigeria Limited by a militia group, the Niger Delta Avengers. Boroh said the 30,000 ex-militants of the Niger Delta captured under the Amnesty Programme were not part of those who attacked the Chevron Abiteye pipeline. He called on the security agencies to arrest those behind the attack and bring them to justice. Boroh told journalists on Friday in Abuja that the attack posed a danger not only to the Niger Delta, but also to the nation’s economy. He urged youths to desist from the heinous act of pipeline vandalism, which he said was inimical to the environment apart from the fact that it was a crime against the country. Boroh said, “The attack on the Chevron facility in Delta State is unfortunate and condemnable. It was carried out by some persons who called themselves Niger Delta Avengers. These are not the ex-militants who are captured under the Presidential Amnesty Programme “All those that are captured under Amnesty Programme are under command; the people who did this are economic saboteurs; the security agents should arrest them and bring them to justice.” Cc: seun, mynd44 http://www.punchng.com/dhq-vows-arrest-suspected-oil-vandals/ |
asha80:He is not only behind them but he is the one directing them to issue all those lame threats directed to him{tompolo} in all the letters. Now an unintelligent mind will say; tompolo can never be the person behind the avengers because in all of their letters, avengers have threatened him. But my head, heart and everything tells me tompolo is the main man behind them. Aside from the threats in the letters directed to tompolo, there are other incoincident events between avengers and tompolo that doesn't just make any sense nor add up to anything |
csamii:How did I disturbed you? Anyway sorry my friend |
betterABIAstate:You guys didn't proof anything on how "Fulani herdsmen" graze your lands with their cows around that nimbo-uzo community. And that was what I asked you guys to proof, rather you resulted to insults and calling me names. I don't say what I don't know. Most of what i usually post online are backup with proofs my friend. |
kcnwaigbo:I don't make noise online my friend. If I wanted to make noise as you said; believe you me, I would have opened a thread about how the militants, the corrupt navy personnels and also the silly oil companies can be dealt with once and for all. First, who are even the avengers? I hope you know Mr tompolo is the man behind the avengers group. How did I know this? Simple. You see in all of their(avengers) letters, they always issue out some silly threats to tompolo thinking they are deceiving everybody. I don't want to go into much details about these new pipelines vandalism by tompolo, corrupt navy officers and the oil companies. Like I said before, we should all sit and watch how everything unfolds |
kcnwaigbo:Funny. Who am I to threaten a whole group of people? My friend I say let's sit back and watch how this new movie unfolds |
I believe these guys don't know what they are doing. They are just destroying their lands{courtesy of gas flaring and oil spillage}. Well in the coming days to come, Nigerians will see who will shout blue murder between the federal government and the militants. Hope they know the FG will never negotiate with them?{ the first negotiations and amnesty program given to the militants was the worst mistake that was ever made, you DONT give amnesty to people like that, rather you use your entire military force on them until they bend}. Your governors are collecting 13% allocation funds yet you blame the federal government for your woes. What do you want the FG to do for you? Okay I get it, you want the FG to spoon feed you just because the black oil is in your lands.God bless Alaska. Well as a good citizen of my country, I have forwarded the best ways the militants can be tackled and be dealt with to the appropriate body and I believe they will look into my work |
Where is your evidence that a Fulani herdsman carried out the attack? Somebody from nowhere posted this picture on Facebook and "claimed" that his attackers were herdsmen and you just bought the story. From the picture one can easily decode that the attack happened in the afternoon. So why didn't anybody apprehend the supposed attackers. How will you pick any random picture on facebook of a man attacked and label the attackers as Fulani people? Cc: Seun, mynd44, lalasticlala, Dominique, the way and manner you respectable gentlemen allow any kind of lie against the Fulani fly around in this great forum is mesmerizing. The original poster has broken two rules and I think the appropriate ban should be given to him. Rule 8 - don't post false information Rule 9 - incitement |
ChristineC:Where and when did you see a Fulani herdsman with a riffle? Atleast we can start from there my friend |
ChristineC:Just listened to yourself. It is " rumoured" that bla bla bla. Now if someone should ask you if you have ever seen a Fulani herdsman wielding a weapon before, Am sure your answer will be no. The young men that were arrested in Abia/Enugu tried to take laws into their own hands which is not acceptable in a democratic dispensation. |
Well Atleast this report is not bias unlike the ones the Nigeria media houses cooked up everyday. Here we can see that the writer didn't exonerate any group or label one group as the villain. He appropriated blames to every party(both the farmers and the herdsmen). Now I think it is left to the security agencies to look at the major reasons why the average herdsman will want to hurt anybody in his host community, why will the herdsmen ransacked a village in the middle of the night, not forgetting why will an average herdsman carry russian Kalashnikov around. This and many more questions is the puzzle the security agencies have to crack. Of course nobody will wake up one morning and start killing people indiscriminately, something must have led to that kind of severe reaction. A Fulani man is peaceful, jovial and friendly. So it just doesn't make an iota of sense that he will want to hurt anyone without any provocation. Both the herdsmen and the farmers have to find a common ground to settle their differences. Nevertheless, I commend the federal government for stamping out its feet and saying; enough is enough |
A good man that lived a very simple life. Ya Allah ka jikan marigayi Umaru musa yar'adua, Ya Allah ka kai rahman ka a kabarin shi kuma ka sa ya huta. Ya Allah idan ta mu locakin ta zo, ka sa mu cika da imani. Ameen summa Ameen |
Of course the perpetrators will be brought to book and I hope and pray that happen as soon as possible. This is one atrocious act too many but labelling the herdsmen as "Fulani herdsmen" is also one irresponsible and reckless generalisation |
I think the APC as a party should caution some of its members especially the ones that recklessly show the 80% hungry and angry nigerians their exotic rides. The masses are suffering and their representatives are showing off their expensive cars and mansions. This is very wrong in a normal society. What is wrong with the psych of our so-called leaders; This question is what I ask myself almost everyday. They carry this their "I don't give a damn" attitude around not minding the pitiable state their masses are in. But sometimes can we blame them when even the people they are representing are encouraging them to steal. The second picture is a classic example of a African man mentality. Why won't you charge him to create jobs for you or to even as little as much, charge him to put you in a small position were you can feed yourselves instead of eating one plate of food with him. This is very shameful and bad |
The fight against the insurgents have gained serious momentum. The mistake that caused the previous administration their seat was ignoring the atrocious acts of boko haram when it all started. You don't use a stick and carrot approach on senseless hooligans who are killing and maiming your people, rather you adopt the American style of justice. You kill one of us and we takedown 50 of your senseless "terrorists members". Now what is even jihad in islam? Did the holy quran ask you to kill anybody unjustly, the answer is NO. Islam is a religion of peace and terrorists groups like alqaeda, nusra front, al shabab, Taliban, boko haram etc don't represent anything Islamic. They and only themselves know what they are fighting for. Islam is peace, and Muslims all over the world are expected to live their lives according to the doctrine and teachings of Islam. May God bless us all |
What part of westminister is that and when did this particular protest happened? There are several places you are not allowed to protest in uk, hope you know that original poster. In as much as I support any kind of protest against killings of innocent people but I also think people should stop spreading lies. |
Nice move. Let peace lead the way. And the perpetrators of the dastardly act should/must be brought to book |
Candyrain:I didn't see it but believe me if I see the real evidence of Fulani herdsmen{not some random picture taken from the net} roaming around nimba vicinity I will tender my apology to whoever felt angered by my earlier submission here. We are all learning and none of us is perfect my friend. I might be wrong I might also be right you know, same applies to you too. |
Thank you Mr omenka for this wonderful insight and also for the mention. You know at first when this entire herdsmen/farmers fracas started some few months ago, It didn't interest me a bit because I was so indifferent to the entire showdown. I'm a Fulani and I know my people can be violent at times, so I viewed the herdsmen/farmers clash as a normal showdown that has been happening for God knows when. You know curiosity works with every human being and my own curiosity began to to take a tow on me when any act of criminality that happened in the south and some parts of north central were pinned on the herdsmen. That's when my inner self told me something is very fishy somewhere and there was a sinistral plan to labelled the Fulani people{mind you I didn't use herdsmen} as criminals. If you have been paying attention very closely, you would have noticed that all these reports about the herdsmen started trooping in when the war against boko haram started gaining momentum, and some successful records were achieved. Now an intelligent mind would have asked himself these simple questions which are; where there no herdsmen in Nigeria before buhari became the president? Where there any cordial relationship with all the farmers and the herdsmen before buhari came in? These and many more are the questions I expected "educated" people to ask themselves, but unfortunately none of them is doing that and they still expect everyone to reason on the same faulty line as them. I can tell you that most of the ignorant people shouting herdsmen have never seen a real herdsman in their entire life before but they are quick to believe that invincible herdsmen committed all the atrocious acts in their lands. The Enugu invasion finally opened up my eyes that some people are desperately trying to score some political points by attributing every crime to the herdsmen. At first vanguard reports said 500 herdsmen were gathering in an unknown area trying to perpetrate an imminent attack. Now how did vanguard came about with this lie since they couldn't mention the specific area that the herdsmen were gathering. Later vanguard made a u-turn and said it was only 50 herdsmen. I believe everybody said the attacks were carried in the death of the night, then how come vanguard knew the attackers were herdsmen since nobody could see the attackers faces. After the attack was carried out, then the issue of conflicting reports began to sprung up. From 100 houses burn, hundreds killed to 6 people killed, then the number rose to 40 then to 26 then to 15 again. Even at that some people were already floating the entire social medias with fake pictures of the supposed dead people. There are just many things wrong with the entire herdsmen story but unfortunately I don't just have the time to unravel everything now. Like I will always say, people should be very careful about politicizing paternal issues like this because nobody know how the backlash will be. Nevertheless I'm not exonerating the herdsmen of some atrocities committed in the south or any part of Nigeria |
Beautiful people beautiful ethnic group. Proudly fulani |
Just like I anticipated. No proof whatever but everyone has resorted to insults. Someone even said that he just passed some Fulani herdsmen in Enugu. I mean the same Enugu that many people came here to tell anybody that cares to listen that "all Fulani herdsmen" have abdicated some few days ago. Why are people contradicting themselves for goodness sake? Anyway why did the moderator changed the real heading of this thread? Very funny. Initially I thought some logical minds will counter my claims, but I guess I underestimated the thinking and reasoning capacity of some people. Fulani herdsmen might have committed one atrocious act or another in the past, but this latest claim that Fulani herdsmen ransacked nimba community is what I will never believe until I'm shown concrete evidence. But for the meantime, whatever anybody say is just hearsay and I will never take such reports any serious. Fulani herdsmen are not invincible for crying out loud. I'm sorry if I didn't sound like the average typical Nigerian to you people, but facts{thats if there's any}shouldnt be fictionalized |
CyberWolf:Now I'm heartless just because I want to know what actually transpired in nimba community. Wow. Well get this into your head; not everybody believed whatever junky reports that your junky Nigeria press feed you, some of us do carryout our own findings to know the real issue. And I'm sorry if I sounded anti-eastern Nigeria to you. I'm not. I didn't even vote buhari nor Jonathan in the last election. I always want to know the truth of a matter before I swallow it down my throat. This is the 21st century and things are usually done in a civilize manner, and not the usual nigeria way which is sentiments, religion, region and ethnic group |
CyberWolf:You can bring any kind of evidence you wish to bring of Fulani herdsmen activities in your region, I mean anything. Look here my friend, I spend about 6 good hours of my time understanding the demography of the southeast and the grazing fields of Fulani herdsmen in southern Nigeria. All I ever wanted was for any of you to debunk my findings but unfortunately you guys are not doing that, instead you all have resorted to name callings. Insults is not my thing please and I detest it, you lots can have a nice day since you can't debunk my findings |
CyberWolf:Me residing in London or Jupiter is not the issue here. What I want from you is to show me any evidence of Fulani herdsmen roaming around with their cattle in your region. Let's do away with all the names calling here my friend. I believe we are trying to educate one another here. |
Everybody knew that Fulani herdsmen kidnapped the respected elderly statesman, chief olu falae. There were pictorial and video evidences. The culprits were also interviewed. I believed that story and I know my brothers did it. The Ogun incident too came with a lot of evidences that Fulani herdsmen were involved. But this particular nimba uzo incident is very ludicrous. The entire thing looks like some kind of acting. Fulani people don't roam around that area with their cattle(I have evidences). The reports were clashing with one another. Vanguard knew about the attack even before it happened and they didn't report it to DSS, army etc. How could 500 later 50 herdsmen attack a community without any provocation? |

.. As in you mean there is no Fulani Herdsmen in SE? You are very dumb and a dangerous pretender. You people's plan will not work because Nigerians are wiser now.
