You have made a strong point, but I think you should've started by preaching to those who point fingers at us for every single misfortune that befalls them. You should have reserved your sermon for those that have been celebrating Boko haram and bandits simply because muslims are the victims. Be sincere, how many times have you heard southerners complaining over the killings in Katsina, Jigawa, and Kebbi? Compare that to those that have spoken against the killings in southern kaduna (a christian region).

Believe it or not, this country is heavily divided. When I complained against ending SARS,I did so because SARS have been helping to improve security in the north. They don't harass civilians here, so why should they be ended just because some people are being touched? Reformation is what I support and not ending it.


On Facebook, I was called an aboki terrorist, Boko haram, fulani cow, etc simply because I called for the ending of the protest since SARS has been scrapped. They continued hailing the protesters and when the officers started taking action, the people and the international community complained against it. To them, the protesters should continue destroying and looting at will. Since this is what the south wants, why should I really disturb myself? They should carry on. That's how we (the north) hailed Yaradua when he was killing Boko haram until they came back to haunt us. You people are also following the same path by blowing the embers of this dubious protest.

I have been trying to get rid of tribalism (I know that this is a problem for me) but each time I see some silly and dumb comments, I'm forced to dive back to it. Someone just said that the northerners are the ones looting shops all over the place and freeing prisoners.

You asked how many people spoke against Bokoharm. In my post I made mention of The BBOG campaign which Oby Ezekwesili chaired. We have been speaking against the killings since the Jonathan regime. We have had harsh tags and many others. Most times we see what we choose to see.

I have had personal encounter with two northerners one from Niger and the other A Nigerian fought over Buhari cold bloodeldly. It all started when the Nigerien said Buhari is a fool. Lo and behold, his friend a northerner blocked him from moving his container of water . He resisted . Led to a fight and while this where going on. Another Northerner saw the fight and asked what happen. To my surprise he launched an attack on the Nigerien just when he heard that he insulted Buhari.

My point is we seem to always fight other people's war. While we have out own internal war withing us.


You complained against the scrapping of SARS . If only you know what the Sars have done here. I am being truthful to you they have done more harm than good. They might not have done much harm over there owing to the fact of the environment which they find themselves. We should learn to speak out against evil irrespective of anything. We have spoke against Boko haram. We spoke against tribal war. We spoke against all ills. It will be better you educate your neighbors than give in to the ills of tribalism. It will never do us good. But truth is that I remember when my Principal was given the best teacher in Nigeria when I was in SS2, it was purely politics and nothing else. The woman was not up to starndard to me, because how can someone who bullies children be the best teacher?

90% of Public school teachers are bullies, they make fun of students from poor homes/poor guardians and turn them to subject of laughter in the class by commenting on their torn cloths, or bad sandals and everyone will laugh. Or tag them ''late comer'' ''Ashewo'' etc without finding the cause of it and helping the child

I remember a school I taught during NYSC, there was a boy who always came late to school, and he would be punished all through, cutting grasses, this happened almost everyday. And in the staffroom, the teachers always said bad things about him and would make fun of him. Even his classmates saw him as a useless person. I was not comfortable with this, I had to go meet the boy where he was uprooting tree one day and I got to know he lived with his Uncle who was poor, and they must go to farm early in the morning before coming to school, and he had no parents. I had to go to his Uncle to tell him to stop doing that to him, I started visiting the man because the truth is, he doesn't even know he was maltreating the boy, because he himself does not look alright.

Then, I started talking to the boy and teaching him specially, believe me, this was when I got to know that the boy is actually brilliant, its just that he doesn't comprehend in Class and he already has low self esteem, he doesn't understand English either but with my interactions with him, I got to know that he was brilliant.

To me,we have good teachers, but most public school teachers are poor and frustrated, and lash out the frustrations on students, I'm not even sure they know what bullying means and understand their students, because most children going to public schools now are from damaged/poor homes experiencing domestic violence. The teachers only concentrate on children that they perceive smart, making others to become jealous.

To solve all these, the government should start relieving stress from teachers, and increase their salary, then they should start giving them trainings, not from those old people with wack mentalities, because that is what they do, when they are doing training for teachers, teaching them rubbish.

This case is more of a situation of luck, and thats one of the reasons Nigerians are backward,and why people pray for luck in what they did not deserve, we want such award to be given when a teacher can successfully boasts of children/students he has successfully molded their lives.

We should also start praising teachers that have helped us on our social media pages. I will praise my mum, she was my Math teacher(not in school, private teacher), and she made me to become very good in Mathematics.

These people. Have they finished the lagos to Badagry railroad? Once a while I see them patching and destroying then rebuilding the roads. Some times they even leave the roads like that.
