1997- 2003. This period covers two generations of camrys 1997-1999 : "Pencil light"; 2000-2001: "curve light" (facelift): To the best of my knowledge as a car enthusiast of many years, I am 98 percent sure that brand new of these models were NEVER sold in Nigeria. Some people however may have bought their's in US and shipped them to Nigeria, but believe me, in year 2000, 2001, the latest model camry that was MOST COMMON on the streets of Lagos and arguably, Nigeria, was the 1993, 1994 model (orobo), even the 1996 model was very very much a rarity (I never saw one till around 2003). 2002-2006: "Big for nothing" : I am 100 percent sure that brand new of these models were sold in Nigeria, from 2004, or maybe, possibly late 2003. Most of the units sold were of the XLE trim level I believe (many spokes alloy wheels, rear AC vent, digital AC controls, leather seats etc), although, like the 2007 upwards XLE trim models sold brand new in Nigeria, you'll HARDLY EVER, in short, arguably NEVER find the XLE emblem anywhere on the car, and also I think they all came with 4 cylinder 2.4 litre engines only (same as the 2007 model upwards sold in Nigeria too by Elizade and all the top notch dealers) I stand to be corrected. |
Now pegged at 1.850 for quick sales!!!!! Other cars have to come in. HURRY! It doesnt get any better for a TOKUNBO 2007 Accord ![]() |

I guess this piece of news is for those who actually thought Oloye & Bukola were actually havin a face-off. Saraki snr. has successfully installed Bukola as the next Godfather of that state. I can only hope that Ahmed turns out to be the best Governor the state has had, who will make Kwarans happy, or else, may God spare the Sarakis' lives till 2015 wen the ACN or any other party with a credible candidate will chase their political godson out of the Government house, and I hope they'll be helpless & unable to stop it. Nothing lasts forever. |

Saraki reconciles with son, returns to PDP 21 June 27, 2011 News BY Demola Akinyemi ILORIN — The head of Saraki political dynasty and Second Republic Senate Leader, Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki, the Waziri of Ilorin, yesterday, openly declared an end to the disagreement with his son, Dr Bukola Saraki, who publicly handed over Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed to him. The elder statesman also explained that he needed to urgently accept the apologies of his son over the painful political misfortune his son made him to suffer in the last elections in order to save Kwara from the pending political crisis and prevent the opposition party from taking over the state, saying the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, or any other opposition party can never take over Kwara. The occasion was the prayer session which, according to the chieftain of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Alhaji Amasa Jidda, was organised in his Ilorin country home over the tragedy that led to the loss of lives on the eve of former Gov. Bukola Saraki ’s departure from office, the success of the planned wedding ceremony of his son Olaolu Saraki in Paris, and over the continued good health of the elder statesman and other members of his family among others. Mixed feelings There were mixed feelings at the ceremony as aggrieved members of the ACPN and members of PDP particularly those who won various elective posts were all in attendance, throwing banters at each other. AFTER POLITICAL WAR NOW PEACE. Fromleft: The Waziri of Ilorin, Dr. Olusola Saraki; Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State; and Senator Bukola Saraki in a discussion at a special prayer for the peaceful reconciliation of ACPN and PDP members in Ilorin, yesterday. The elder Saraki said the two political parties, ACPN and PDP, have been fused into one in the state, stressing that various reconciliation committees have been set up to settle the grievances of members resulting from the last election. He noted that all his political family members including members of his ACPN are now fully in support of the administration and government of Abdulfatah Ahmed. Speaking on what led to the reconciliation, Dr Olusola Saraki said: “You remember that Bukola was governor for eight years, and he wanted somebody to succeed him and I disagreed with him on the choice, though they won and I agree with them. “Second day of the election I travelled to USA and four days after the election, Bukola came to see me in Los Angeles to apologise. Later, he made all manners of influential and highly respected people to beg me, and I realise that if I want peace to reign in Kwara, and for opposition party not to be given chances like it happened in the last election, I have to listen to him. “The crisis is in two arms. We have settled the political aspect, it remains the family aspect because Gbemi is still very angry, and I am behind her for that. We will also settle that later.” ‘’What happened to me during the last election was a misfortune to me. I never expected it but I know that was how almighty Allah wanted it, and I have taken it as a human being. Since I never expected that it would be my blood that will change the face of Kwara, which he did to my satisfaction and admiration of everybody, then I have to accept this too as my own fate.” Dr Olusola Saraki who recalled with nostalgia that he never took contract from any government noted that during the two terms administration of Dr Bukola Saraki as the governor, he was transparent to him on actions and steps he took, and that was responsible for the peace, and outstanding achievements he had while in office and why he secured second term which was the first time in the history of kwara. The waziri of Ilorin who said it was too early to talk about the issue of second term for Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed however said it depends on how he runs his government. ‘’He needs to find a way to accommodate everybody, and consult with me on every step he takes like his predecessor did. He should not take anyone for granted, so that there won’t be crack in his government. It was because there was crack in the last election, that was why some foreign political parties did what they did and thought that they can rule kwara. Can you imagine?’’ Dr Olusola Saraki also counseled President Goodluck Jonathan that he is taking unnecessary longer time in chosing his ministers, urging him to be steadfast and do something quickly so as to move the nation forward. |

Fuel economy figures for the 2005 corolla City - 26mpg Highway - 35mpg COMBINED - 29mpg Maintenance is also relatively easy and spare parts are in abundance. The Toyota Corolla is a very wonderful car, with a good 2nd hand value, which plus its other advantages, is the reason why the car is, in many cases, even more expensive than a Toyota Camry of the same year. Whether you are a dude or a chic , or a man or woman , you'll definitely feel comfortable in a corollaThis corolla is very very clean with a very sound engine. If you are a serious intending buyer, schedule an inspection and see for yourself ![]()

Very good development. Enugu has the largest deposit of coal in the country & its been there for longer than the past 12 years, and the state has been netting IGR and collectin from the federation account each month for the same past 12years. Thank God the current Governor has decided to take action. Hope this is completed soonest. I wish each state governor could undertake steps to produce say, 1000MW within the next 6 years. Infact, if each state produces 600MW before 2015, vision 2020 or wotever may begin to look slightly realistic. |
Depends on your budget. If you have, lets say 2million naira, I think the only brand new cars you can get are Hyundai i10 or Kia picanto,or maybe rio and accent. Definitely no toyota or honda. Except if you dig those Greatwall or Geely cars. wheras, 2million naira wil get you a clean low mileage 2003-2005 honda accord, toyota camry, maybe even a honda cr-v & trust me, these cars deliver,in terms of performance, & in some cases, even reliability, far better than brand new cars of the same price range. Plus, they don't consume much fuel compared to their engine sizes, even the 6 cylinder engine types, although they consume more than the aforementioned brand new cars (we nigerians worry about fuel economy a lot )Then again, some of these tokunbo cars may stress you out for the first few months or more, especially if you fall into the hands of a typical naija ''mechanic'' who advises you to do proper "maintenance and replacement'' of some parts that may have been ''damaged'' during shipping, as is the case of many honda accord users who have their stil clean and fresh precious honda recommended ATF drained out by ignorant overzealous money-hungry mechanics, then replaced with the regular Abro ATF. Then the gear begins to misbehave and you start biting your fingers. Some brand new cars may serve you well for even years before any issue comes up as long as regular servicing is carried out according to schedule, usually by the dealers themselves, but if you are driving a brand new hyundai accent and the roads leading to your house or office are bad, then be rest assured that you'll pay many visits to stallion motors workshop or wherever you bought it from. Compare tokunbo and brand new cars within your price range and make the better decision. You can buy a tokunbo car, but make sure you are very familiar with the car itself as regards reliability, maintenance, even fuel economy etc before you buy it (make use of the internet), and make sure you deal with proper mechanics who have been tested and trusted and know their onions very well so they won't turn an otherwise splendid tokunbo car into a wreck. |
is it brand new? & how much is it? |

Nokia E75 for sale at 9,500. As u might have guessed, the phone has a few faults which a buyer may be able to cope with, dependin on how well or not he intends to utilize the functions. I will give an overview of the phone. CONDITION: - Case was changed to black in April. Its still very clean. - Phone works almost perfectly as far as the software is concerned. No hanging, except for d very rare restarting when too many applicatns r on (peculiar to many nokia phone models of this series) - Original battery. I also have a fake spare one ![]() - Screen has been changed before. FAULTS & FIXES TO BE MADE: -The phone gets hot fairly quickly once I start browsing & this affects the battery life. -The earphone port needs replacement. After the case was changed, only 1 ear works with any earphone plugged into it. - The camera is working, but the camera button on the side isn't working. Seems the stuff that makes contact with the panel when the button is pressed needs replacement. But the volume keys(also on the side) are working fine. NB: all the fixes to be made can be done for less than 4k. Ask any phone ''engineer'' for a quote incase u wanna be sure before you buy the phone. RECOMMENDATION: -If you are a phone ''engineer'', then dis is an awoof i believe. - If you simply require a clean solid phone (maybe as a second phone) and you dont require frequent usage of the browsing functions & d camera functions, you can buy this. - This phone is still a ''full blooded'' nokia e75 & despite the issues mentioned above, it's still a machine. While writing my final year project, I downloaded close to a 100 materials on it, then transferred via bluetooth to my laptop. It comes with GPS, altho i'm yet to install d naija map on it. PC suite on a laptop wit internet connection will do the trick. - I'm currently posting this via the phone ![]() interested, call 08057973331 or 08026591393 (i sometyms switch SIMs) I'm at Alausa, Ikeja. |
unclesamtech:thanks a bunch sir. Keep up the good work. God bless u |
