I can safely assume ur altima (2006) comes with d CVT transmission found in murano & some latter 6th gen maxima. Yes, the CVT fluid is expensive, but use another one & u may as well start saving up for a new gearbox ( very very very expensive) very soon.

verse promotes violence on a cursory
glance. But if you read it carefully you’ll
find that it doesn’t. I hope you will be
patient enough to be with me throughout the end of this article. The verse says “Fight those who believe not in God nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by God and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth”. My question to you brother. Does this
verse stop here? No it doesnt. It
continues and gives the actual reason as
to the fighting. This is the continuation: – “until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued”. 1. PAYING JIZYA IS THE CONDITION FOR FIGHTING. excuse for what happened there only shows how biased, unknowledgable and
unfair the media is and it hurts us deeply. I can show whole verses from other
scriptures that are truly inhuman, yet no

promise. 2. THE VERSE DOES NOT ASK THE MUSLIMS TO DO FORCEFUL CONVERSIONS. Again, the verse permits the muslims to
fight the non –muslims in an islamic state ONLY and ONLY if they refuse to pay the jizya – Willingly . Re-read the verse from ANY translation if you are not sure. But once they pay the jizya tax they can
continue to believe in their atheistic
pagan beliefs, but it will be under an
Islamic state. You can still forgive them
by not forcing them into Islam, nor
oppressing them or being bad to them because of their wrong beliefs. 3. QURAN NEVER SAYS TO KILL THE DISBELIEVERS JUST BECAUSE THEY DISBELIEVE. This is not to you brother coz I consider
you as a truly respectable friend. To
others who read this article – I openly challenge you to show me ONE verse from the Quran which says to kill the disbelievers just because they are disbelievers. There are verses which permit the Muslims to fight and kill non-
Muslims. But every time sensible and
reasonable conditions are laid. I can show
you all verses from other religious
scriptures where slaughtering is done for
reasons that are as silly and stupid as honor, glory and greatness. Sometimes
for fun too. Wait till the end of the article
to have a sample. 4. JIZYA ISN’T A RANSOM OR A BAD THING Coming back to the verse, now people
might say isn’t it unfair that they have to
pay the jizya tax? Not really. Since when is punishment for refusal to pay lawful taxes considered as terrorism? Also, the jizya tax is very cheap and affordable, and
it grants the non-Muslim’s many benefits,
benefits which even the Muslims don’t
get! For instance, the non-Muslims who are paying jizya in an Islamic state are not obliged to take part in any battle or war, unless they themselves choose to, the Muslims do not have this choice. Muslims have to actually burn their asses out to protect both Muslims and non-Muslims living in their lands. Also if the Islamic state cannot grant protection
to the non-Muslims then the non-Muslims
are not obliged to pay the jizya tax, since
Muslims themselves must meet
expectations for the jizya tax to be
implemented. Also, Society today has no problem in paying taxes to the government, so therefore they should have no problem in paying a tax in an Islamic state either. There you go my friend, verse 9:29 doesn’t
encourage the muslims to do terrorism. It
is a perfectly fair and just verse. Just
throw this article on the face of anybody
who tries to misrepresent islam to you in

Islam violent because Muslims are
commanded to fight those who do not
believe in God and so on etc etc. Not
really, because fighting in this verse does
not explicitly mean physical violence. Observe the words in the above verses
like “willingly”, “willing submission”, “readily” etc. Here it is spoken about bringing a change from within the hearts of people which is brought about intellectually. There are many ways in which you fight against somebody that
does not involve a physical aspect. You
can fight someone with the tongue, using
your wisdom and telling him about the
truth, you are fighting against the lies
that person is propagating and eventually with your tongue you will speak the truth
and crush his lies leading him to the truth.
So fighting does not have to only be
physical. But alas! We totally over look these things
when we mindlessly base allegations on
the Quran. I never comment on any
religion until I have read and understood
ALL their scriptures. I don’t just google
out some anti-religious sites to come up with instant allegations. This is so unfair. 7. Quick Noble Verses that refute the terrorism LIE in Islam: “Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors. I get d sarcasm. Nevertheless, u should kno that a man is forbidden to marry more than 4 wives. He is only permitted to marry more than one (if he has d wherewithal, which is not exclusive to finance) but a MAXIMUM of 4.

Maintenance: since i bought the car, its the usual petty maintenance like say N500-N2000 which is not much. at times for mnths, i only buy fuel without repairing anything.

The major challenge i had was gear incorrect ratio which i have fixed thanks to my own personal research without consulting any mechanic


Fuel: fuel cnsumption is abit high cos my exhaust leaks. when i want to save money i dnt use ac and i drive slowly

In & out, that car is way more beautiful & more majestic than its 'brothers' in class & price i.e. Honda Accord (baby boy) & Camry thin/fish light. Nissan just like to dey build powerful & thirsty engines. I for no complain if to say PMS na N25 per litre.

& thumbs up to u, for being able to fix ur gear rather than spending money at one mechanic's place, & probably getting ur gear destroyed in d process sef.

1) a 4 cylinder camry is definitely more fuel efficient than the v6 sienna, tho from experience of users ( i dont drive one now, but i kno many people who do), the sienna is OK fuel economy wise. & if u do long distance with it, definitely, ur fulll tank will really last.
Here - Camry (4cylinder) *V6 camry & V6 sienna fuel consumption should be around the same i blive. Not much difference*.



2) Na Toyota be dem two na. I doubt they'll be expensive. & they are readily available na, plus both cars are very durable & if well taken care of, may not give issues warranting replacement of parts, except periodic essentials like fuel & oil filter.


3) Long distance, well, i cant imagine travelling with a 4 cylinder when I have d choice of a 6 cylinder. So, here, it's either a V6 camry or the sienna.

5) i believe both have good 2nd hand value, coz both vehicles are in high demand.

So, the choice is ur's. The Sienna is very useful if you have a family obviously, & has higher ground clearance than the camry. Plus the engine sound is like sweet music especially when u r accelerating

The 2001camry is really cool too. I dont even have to start praising it. But then, if they are bad roads in ur area, u may become a regular customer at the alignment fixing & shock absorber seller's place. If you'll be doin a lot of long distance, then abeg go for the V6. U'll never regret it.
if however, u spend a lot of time in Lagos traffic, then abeg, just buy yourself a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder camry jeje, so u won't spend a fortune on fuel.

Then, tho it might be unfair to compare a car and a minivan aesthetically, i think the 2001 (especially 2002, 2003) Sienna XLE looks better than even the Camry XLE.

The choice is ur's. Consider your travelling needs, traffic, condition of roads in ur area e.t.c. & make ur decision.

Actually, the philanthropist late Abiola was, it is very very likely he would have contributed financially to UNILAG. But it doesnt change the fact that the school should not have been renamed without due consultation from all stakeholders. It's indeed possible that it was a set up, but i think if it was a set up, it was poorly done. Whoever wwas devious enough to think up & plan this (if it was indeed planned) should have been wise enough to plug some loopholes namely his attire & a 'proper' fake (likely northern) name. Dude could even have had a beard to go with it.

But then nywy, i sincerely doubt there is an abundance of intelligent people in the security agencies.

By this post, are u claiming its not converted?
A quick glance at the gear & the hand brake position shows this is a converted vehicle. Not a bad thing if the conversion was properly done.

True. They do consume fuel (except when driven on long distance journeys on free roads). Then, from the car complaints link posted earlier, it appears a lot of consumers had issues wt d 2002 altima. If u finally decide on purchasing, i advise u go for one manufactured in 2003, coz i xpect some errors in 2002 models (first year of that generation) will have been corrected in the ones produced in later years. However, if u decide to go further to 2005, 2006, be very careful with ur transmission, coz i think they come wt the CVT transmission (similiar to the ones found in the Nissan Murano & Maxima of the same years). And the CVT transmission requires a special kind of fluid ( CVT transmission fluid) & not the regular ATFs. Its available in Nigeria, tho its much more expensive than the usual ATFs. And if you dont take care of ur CVT gear........ Last i heard, a Nissan Murano gearbox costs about 800k!

So, i think u should keep ur eyes out for the 2003, 2004. Let the 2002 be ur last option. Price difference between them shouldnt be much. But like Nissparts said, take ur car to competent mechanics for maintenance & repairs.

I personally like this car, but i have never owned it. But i've driven d V6 3.5 SE for some minutes tho, & the owner (a friend) hasnt had any serious problems with it, & he's been using it for about a year now. His only major complaint is fuel consumption.
If u eventually decide to buy one, & u r after good fuel economy, then make sure u buy the 4 cylinder 2.5 litre engined version ( a 2.5 logo is on the back & it has its exhaust pipe *usually 2 or maybe 1* at only 1 end). But if u r after engine power & u r willing to sacrifice that for fuel economy, then u can go for the V6 3.5 litre engined version ( 3.5 logo at d back, exhaust pipes at BOTH ends, side skirts). The V6 3.5 SE is a sport car i tell you. It is FAST.
