Culture / Re: Emir Of Daura's One-year-old Daughter Turbaned Magajiya Yakumo Of Daura Emirate by Flaghouse1: 4:19pm On Dec 16, 2017
PAGAN9JA:

The Hausa States were original Matriarchal ruled by a Queen. E.g. Sarrounia /Magajiya. Even the Priestesses were women.
Due to islamization one of the ancient Queens of Daura was forced to run away or face death at the hands of male relatives and she reached Longou and gave birth to the Sarrounia of Longou which even now is ruled by a Female Hausa Queen. The kingdom of Longou was animist Pagan purely till 50 years back.

Daura state is itself name after the famous Queen of that region,, Daurama.

Daura Emir is still Hausa lineage. Not Fulani. He is Sarkin Daura.

List of Daura female rulers:

Kurfuru, Shata, Gino, Walzama, Shawata, Daura, Batatume, Yanbamu, Innagari, Gamata, Sandamata, Jamata, Zama, Yakumo, Yukuna, Gizirgizir, and Hamata.

The senior princess in the Daura emir's family is still known today by the title Magajiva.

Wow!!! thanks for this piece of information,I believe you majored in African history ?

If your narrative is plausible ,why then are the female rulers maginalised or relegated to the background especially in our society (North or southern part of the country ) since you rarely hear much about them as their male counterparts

Lol. Waste of resources

All is just slow off to the neglected and poor subjects ,I really can't see the essence of this elaborate celebration or turbaning ceremony, such events is suppose to arise as the untimely demise of a paramount ruler and the next in line to the throne is not yet ripe to ascend the throne due to the fact that the person is still underage (a child)

Well that is Nigeria for you ,anything goes !!!!

Education / Re: If Poison Expires, Is It More Poisonous Or Is It No Longer Poisonous? by Flaghouse1: 11:23am On Dec 08, 2017
Hozier:
It depends, poison is nothing but a chemical compound. Anything chemical can be regarded as poison.
Expiration of a poison is basically the failure of the chemical or physical structure of that compound/poison.
So if the compound decomposes or reacts further, depending on the element of nature it reacts with,we will get a new compound that may remain poisonous(of the same or different scale of toxicity),or be rendered absolutely harmless.

Very apt, chemical decomposing forms other compound ,it's either it downgrades the potency of the original compound or transform to a more dangerous and powerful compound.

Cyanide, sulphur compounds ,are very good examples of poisons

It is at advance stage forensic investigations are needed. There are still some very affordable tools and techniques which can be put in place.

Nigeria is static because we do not always set up our systems well. For example, the present constitution we have is better than the previous ones. We can imagine if the constitution we had during the military era is what we are using today. I am sure no one would have tagged anyone maradona. Why? Social media would have simply checked him.

Let me tell you why I think OBJ made sure everyone has mobile telephone service in Nigeria. From the info we had, it was a call he put through to maybe Ex. President Carter of the US that saved him, and he could not be executed sharp sharp (though this was a rumor but there was an element of truth in it). Look at our communication system today.

Talking about establishing a good system, look at our banking system. If Nigeria is not a fraudulent arena, trust me, we would have been rated one of the countries with the best banking system with what the present emir of Kano did to the industry.

And if the ex agricultural minister (Adeshina) had had 4 more years, I can imagine what would have happened to Agric in Nigeria.

We are our own enemies. We go against anyone who is doing the right thing. We do not listen to opinions of others when we think we are small gods. I am guilty of this too cos I am Nigerian. We should all do it well.

Simple checks here and there will help. Dont we have agric mods? Where are they? Have we read reasonable comments from them? Agreed they aren't super mods, are we the users suppose to be doing what we are doing now? What they want to do is to exonerate themselves from every dispute here just because they claim to have disclaimers. The question is that is it morally and ethically right for them to close their eyes to these issues? I doubt it.

Just watch bro. When it will be too late for them all, it will be like the kind of stunts Bruce Lee did in his movies. We call it "film trick". Lol. Na film trick e go be for dem eyes.

Just let us just continue observing on HD screen. cool

@ bolded refers, I doubt if the agric mods have experience relating to agricultural discourse and business strategy in terms of how to develop the agriculture threads, simple checks would have gone a long way to nip all these suspected fraudulent cases ,

I believe in fairness ,and hold intergrity in high esteem and have come across a lot of Nigerians when you do business with them you tend to see that no matter the facade of intergrity the person is putting up at the end of the day will cheat you on business deals .like you said we are our own worst enemies, till date the OP has not come to the forum to counter legsupnigeria claims which is disheartening though,if not for the timely Intervention from people like you I wonder what would have remained to salvage from his already battered reputation, we should try and live above board in our dealing as Nigerians so as to bring back the good old days when trust, intergrity, empathy etc used to be part of daily anthem

Thank you for your comment.

I have learned a long time ago to get detailed info from all parties involved in disputes before saying too much. It is still unfortunate that OP is no where to be found and it is to his own disadvantage. Well, it just shows his kind of person. Damaging someone's name online is a serious crime. And running away after the damage has been done is far more serious. It is absolutely not acceptable.

On the part of the manager, like you pointed out, he was not able to quickly come out and give evidences which are simply figures. If he had spelt out the details of transaction, and the amount the guy paid him, and how he defaulted, people would have understood him. In fact, if I was the guy in charge, i would have stated on the contract that any breach of contract makes him forfeit certain benefits. And i would have listed "default in payment" as one. Does he expect me to sell my properties to finish his job? And he was here shouting someone duped him. He has not even come back online to say yes, he did not pay all. Funny that he wrote out all the expenses and profit accurately on his first post. But how come he forgot to tell us he paid less than half of the whole cost of production. Less than half. What can you call that? And he is still not online to come tell us that... ha...it is a lie oooo. I paid this amount and not N305,000.

It is good to learn to be a farm manager. Accountability is a skill you need which should be included in the curriculum of trainings organised for farm managers. Most trainings (including the one in Shonghai) simply turn their graduates to what we call farm laborers. Yes, they train people to be laborers and not managers.

When we sit down and remove facts from noise, we always get solution.

But the truth of this matter is that nairaland, Seun, Dominique, and other key people still do not know their responsibilties at all. The day they will "jam" what is above them by not acting responsible is the day they will know that "to serve" is to be responsible. To serve is not to ignore the cry of the people. Since Seun sent me just a single line email, he has not checked again. Dominique has dashed off too. The day will surely come since Seun has refused to correct this scam issue on this site. That day will come. You all should mark my words.

Since it seems there is no other competitor for nairaland at this point, my advice is that everyone should be careful. From this experience, nairaland for me is a platform genuine business is extremely hard to come by. There is absolute no check. I cannot see usage of professional and advance management skills with the way it is run. I pray nairaland does not end up like motorola and nokia that I used as examples previously.

You will all notice that two threads are pinned at the top of this Agric section as at today's date. Also, you will notice that Agric admin quickly created another thread which was the third pinned after this thread was opened. As soon as we spotted their flaws, and remember, i wrote that they will unpin it soon in order for it to sink naturally. So, can you see that it is exactly what they have done. Lol. If the thread was to their advantage, it will still be there. But they have unpinned it and it has sunk naturally. They delete posts they do not like at their will. These moderators are not ready to do anything. So, let us all just be careful. Yet, they will be the first to go to politics section to say Jonathan is clueless, Buhari is a dictator, Osinbajo is nothing, etc. May God help us all.

Will I put 100% blame on Seun? Nope. We must be honest with ourselves - over 99% Nigerians are not truthful. I can understsnd why he might refuse to take help or advice from people. Most are just opportunists. It may be from his previous experience that he has decided to do what he is doing. I do business and I know exactly what the book of Jeremiah meant - "The heart of man is desperately wicked". Come on! It is not just wicked BUT "desperately" wicked. This is really bad.

Personally, if I am going to use this platform for anything, i will just make some analysis and scrutinize who I feel is qualified for such project, and remove everything from this platform. This platform is good for the number of readers you can get. Anything outside that, be ready to tackle scams yourself.

From the above narrative, Naoraland needs to be reloaded/upgraded to Nairaland 2.0, which will need thorough forensic investigations on of all sections ,especially those relating to business transactions to be able to identify genuine business men and conmen,so readers would be aware of whom they are dealing with.

If they finally have a competition which I hope comes up soon, the moderators should sit up and attend to issues with maturity with a view of having prompt resolutions on them.

for the same reason people with history of stress are prone to cardiac diseases, the same applies to the venous system of the body, she is an actress which might expose her to long hours of recording and standing which might lead to slow uptake of blood from the legs and as such would force the body to increase blood pressure to the legs to counter this and would probably lead to the veins becoming prominent and for a fair person it can easily be noticed.

However you can't rule out the possibility that she may have bleached her skin to that extent that her veins have become very prominent.

Many thanks for your explanation and I really have a buy-in into your postulation and also must agree with your last statement,

This N100,000 is a new inforrmation which will be deducted from the amount he is entitled to.

Let me quickly break it down for you.

We are going to use ratio to make our calculation.

Old cost : Old Revenue
N 776,000 : N1,500,000
1 : 1.93

So, ratio 1 : 1.93 will be used for ONLY the payment he made. This means that instead of paying for 4 hectares, he paid only for 1.55 hectares. And we will base revenue on just 1.55 hectares. You do not need to collect one kobo from him again. Just go ahead and fund the project. What he is getting share from is 1.55 hectares of land.

Real Cost : Real Revenue
1 : 1.93
N305,0000 : N589, 562.
This is saying that the revenue for 1.55 hectares is N589,562

Interprepation: All the expenses you made after N300,000 is not to his advantage. He is only getting reward for the N300,000 payment he made.

Revenue is N589,562 for 1.55 hectares.
OP collects 80% = N471,650
Farm manager collects 20% = N117,912

OP collects N471,650 (80% of revenue)
N471,650 - N100,000 = N371,650 (N100,000 deduction, this is the amount he has been paid).

This arrangement means he will not give you one kobo till the end of the project. Means, no matter how small or big the farm is, you will be responsible for the management but at the end you pay him just N371,650 which is the dividend for his N300,000 after the deduction of N100,000 you have given him.

If you still have any question or you need more clarification, do not hesitate to ask.

Your problem solving skill is top notch, I doff my hat for you and respect your analytical mind, thank you for your intervention in this discourse and seeing to it that the issue on ground is resolved to a logical conclusion,

By all the the inputs you have requested from legsupnigeria after juxtaposing the figures we may come to realise that legsupnigeria may be innocent of the allegation -not that iam trying to preempt the result of your findings before concluding your investigation, just that the negatives counting against legsupnigeria is his inability to provide evidence ab initio.

Your impartial stance on this case seems to amaze me as other competition using this opportunity to damage his reputation,I honestly hope things work out well for legsupnigeria as regards this case so that this test case will be a springboard to boast his farm management business

Money to Large extent brings happiness but does not bring joy. That's why you can fake happiness but cannot fake joy. That's Why people will say he/she is faking smile, that is trying to fake happiness not joy.

Happiness comes as a result of the positive events happening around you.

But joy comes from the inside of you even though there seems to be nothing positive happening around you, you are just joyous, now that's what's money can't buy. however joy is the extreme of happiness.

The bible says with JOY you shall draw water out of the well of salvation .

A good management will write a letter inviting the parents to school in respect to that.Bitter filled Nigerian teachers(not all) especially those over 40 unmarried ones.Just like several Nigerian nurses that turn injections into weapons. grin

What you said up there is the expected standard procedure, invite the parents or write a letter on the child's unruly behaviour in the school so as to have discussions with the parents , we all know how all these mushrooms schools operate , no framework guiding their operations and no compliance unit put in place to ensure that they meet standards in all ramifications.

The systems needs to be overhauled to guide against abuses to children all in the guise of correcting them, the flogging of kids to me is way out of line the inherent dangers are numerous both physical and psychological to the child.

If I stand for your front I doubt if you go fit call me coconut head because I go panel beat your head to look like the coconut grin grin grin

Now to the main narrative, I child flogging creates psychological truama in them ,there are ways to reprimand a child for wrong doings ,subtle punishment to correct their disruptive tendencies and talking and making them realise the co sequences of their action, I am not ruling out the fact that there are some bitter teachers that would take out their frustration on the kids in their class, these days I doubt the quality of training these teachers get before being pushed to the classroom.

My reason for advocating punishments was based on my experience in my early school days, you have teachers that are replicas of mothers in my school that if you do anything wrong they punish you ,and a times talk to you as if your mum was the one talking to you,it even becomes more interesting when you fall sick in class, they even make arrangement to take you to the health centre and if you are lucky you even get double breakfast and a pack of ice cream-big dip chocolate Ice cream of fan ice ( I doubt if you know these brand of ice cream grin grin grin)
