Fashion / Re: Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters Wins Miss Universe 2017 (Miss South Africa) by Flaghouse1: 11:04pm On Nov 27, 2017
Jakumo:

Apologies for the use of words that may have offended you. This was not my intent. I was merely stating obvious fact, specifically that today in MOST of of black Africa, including Nigeria and South Africa, women who are clinically obese due to a combination of gluttony and a total disregard for the need to exercise physically, are regarded as beauty queens, which further perpetuates the ingrained cultural acceptance of a sedentary lifestyle, among Africa's indigenous populations, even in this supposedly enlightened year of 2017.

Setting aside for a moment the aesthetics of looking fit, trim and healthy as opposed to being obviously overweight, the medical community is unanimous in supporting an ACTIVE lifestyle with LOTS of exercise, over a lifestyle characterized by overeating and sloth, as insurance against a very long list of illnesses and ailments. It therefore stands to reason that an internationally recognized beauty pageant would never welcome contestants whose physical girth exceeds that which is both internationally and medically preferable.

With respect to South African's propensity for excessive alcohol consumption, I speak as an eye-witness when I say that I am yet to meet a South African citizen of the black race, who is not instinctively DRIVEN to get extremely drunk, loud and obnoxious, on a very regular basis. For sure, alcohol addicts exist in all societies on this green planet, but I would bet my net worth that there is no country in existence that can match South Africa in the national sport of drinking whilst singing and shouting, to the point of requiring medical attention. In this regard, South Africa occupies a league of its own. South Africa's undying love affair with alcohol, considered while mindful of the statistics documenting widespread ownership of semiautomatic hand guns in that nation, is a sobering reality indeed, no pun intended.

@Jakumo,

Well from the narrative I think it won't be out of place to send you on a bilateral mission to South Africa to carry out a comprehensive study on the various breeds of women in South Africa and report back with salient solution to ensure the real South African ladies contest in the next miss world or universe contest going forward, your bush allowance will be paid in Rands

Thank you grin

Car Talk / Re: Village Enemies REMOTE Cyber Attack On Cars Made After 2005 by Flaghouse1: 2:54pm On Nov 20, 2017
Jakumo:
As a devoutly and rabidly superstitious African bushman, I am always on the lookout for signs that my village enemies might be deviously arming up for spiritual or "traditional" attacks against me, launched with deadly precision from many time-zones away.

If I forget to make my monthly car payment, and the Repossession Crew shows up with a tow truck - na Village Enemies I go blame.

If I misplace the speeding ticket issued to me weeks ago, and later get hauled into jail for Failure to Appear - I go know say na Dem-dem.

Now, my Village Enemies have a new weapon at their disposal, to further their relentless attacks, even as I try to flee to parts unknown.

https://uk.yahoo.com/news/terrorist-criminal-hackers-kill-millions-remotely-accessing-cars-101914683.html

Joking aside, the above news story should be a cause of grave concern to everyone that drives a car, particularly if that car was manufactured AFTER the year 2005, since it is those newer cars that are inherently vulnerable to remote cyber attacks that would remove some, or ALL control of the vehicle, from the hands of the person occupying the driver's seat.

So, if you are not the superstitious type, and therefore harbor no fear of surprise voodoo attacks launched by your village enemies, at the very least consider developing a passion for older cars, of which, without question, the 1985 to year 2000 era Mercedes V8 saloons, coupes and roadsters shine even brighter today, as do diamonds in the rough, ageing gracefully while cruising deceptively fast, and, best of all, fundamentally IMMUNE to any form of remote vehicular control, attempted by tech-savvy hackers, or by Village Enemies, who will no doubt seek to move and evolve with the times, in this ongoing cyber arms race.

I completely agree with you, personally I prefer car models within the year range of 1995-2008, to me these cars are easy to maintain,no too much electricals/electronics (Bluetooth, wifi, and infra red. Technologies to contend with ) smooth drive in terms of suspension -manual repairs just remove and fix with clean tokunbo unlike the new model equipped with sophisticated suspension (ballast ,ballon suspension, electrical hydraulic mechanism )

These range of cars are vintage assets that old gracefully with envy of those that appreciate them,a very good example is clean JAGUAR VAN DE PLAIS 1990-2003 models

Car Talk / Re: 2016 Toyota Avalon Flooded, (non Starter) Needs Repair. Solved page 5 by Flaghouse1: 10:29am On Nov 18, 2017
Jakumo:
With some flood-damaged cars it may become necessary to REMOVE THE ENGINE and have the crank-case and cylinder heads opened up to check for head gasket damage, and water damage to bearings and such. If the vehicle was NOT running when it was flooded, the engine may only require an engine oil and oil filter change, along with a transmission fluid and filter replacement, to restore normal operation of the car.

If, on the other hand, the car's engine WAS running during the flooding incident, and thus ingested water via the intake manifold, then MAJOR irreversible damage to the engine is guaranteed. If any attempt was made AFTER the flooding incident to start the engine WITHOUT first expelling water by removing the spark plugs and turning over the starter, the engine could also be damaged beyond repair already.

Even for those cars which were fortunately NOT running during the flood, it is NOT enough to simply open the drain-plug in the engine-oil sump, to remove water that leaked into that oil-only crank case, before re-filling with fresh engine oil. In many cars that get flooded, the sump MUST BE REMOVED, to drain the dregs of water and sludge in the engine that WILL remain in the sump, even after the drain plug is opened and apparently "empty". That remaining soup of oil and water can ONLY be drained by taking off the sump completely.

Youtube videos correctly advise to remove the spark plugs and turn the engine over with the starter, to expel any water that might be in the cylinders. The video tutorials also advise replacing all fluids in the car, from the engine to the transmission, and even the axles, in cars that have been submerged in flood waters. Oddly enough though, I have not as yet run across a Youtube tutorial that discusses the importance of removing the sump, to drain all residual watery sludge in a flooded engine.

Jakumo,

Are you a Mechanic , this your explanation is more of a professional talking. grin

Good morning all,
I have been offline for a time because one of my team member had a serious accident which has preoccupied me for a while.
Thanks to pavore9,sallubello,stagger,nairalander partners and host of people who has called for useful advice, solutions and criticisms etc
I have contacted OP and we are meeting in couples of days (Monday precisely) at his farmland and we will visit the cassava farm.
All assistance will be given to him with updates and our resolutions posted here nextweek.

As i scanned through this thread for useful info,i saw where atlanticsfire stated that I dupe him of #2million for cassava.
The cassava farm many years ago was jointly managed by atlanticsfire's cousin and us.

I have never scammed anyone,if i have please come out and say so.
we run a transparent farm management programme.
For people in the agribusiness know well that we are faced with numerous challenges which sometimes get-rich-quick investors may not want to understand.
Thats why we encourage once in a while visit to have a feel of ongoings on your investment and physical presence of yourself/your representative at important operations on the farm (harvesting).

Thank you all for your concerns, constructive solutions, suggestions, etc.

Wish your team member good health and speedy recovery.

My friend life is simple ,let's not complicate it by our actions and inactions, I would imploy you settle this issue with the OP in a resolute manner, so as to redeem your image by posting details of final resolution status as you said, from this incident I will not lie to you ,your ratings has dropped considerably and you need to take steps in seing that this improves,

Your flaws in the issue on ground is that you were not able to come up with evidence be it falsified or true evidence, which in law puts you in a disadvantaged position, it is based on this that the majority of us tagging this thread perceive you to be a fraud-"sorry for my French " which may not be the case in reality, I will advise you in future do proper documentation when embarking on this kind if business venture so as to let both parties know their rights and also alway project manage your farm activities so as to enable you give quality and reliable update to your clients.

Great minds think alike, Ogaawa Flaghouse.

I am privileged to be part of a 52-man government-financed delegation sent to conduct a diligent fact-finding mission in Saudi Arabia, on a pilgrimage of sorts, for the purpose of seeking to learn more about the secretive medical doctors better known in The Glorious Desert Kingdom as "The Hymenators", with a view to publishing a White Paper that will chart the way forward with respect to their procedural modalities restoring virginity on an industrial scale, and how best this essential public service can be adapted for the Nigerian market.

Good, complete the the fact finding mission on time and put strategies in place for the immediate implementation of this lofty project , and would suggest payments be made in"bitcoins" so as not to have issues transferring dollars from prospective clients who may be money laundrers in order to avoid issues with the 'eagle eye'. grin grin
Romance / Re: 18-year-old Model Sells Virginity For $3m To Abu Dhabi Businessman (photos) by Flaghouse1: 7:45am On Nov 17, 2017
Jakumo:
One of the most lucrative ventures in Arab Muslime countries has for years been HYMEN RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY, during which women who have enjoyed years of vigorous sexual activity, can pay doctors to "restore" their long-lost virginity, by recreating the hymen, so that they will qualify as a good Muslime bride, when the time comes to get married.

This woman who just sold her "virginity" can therefore pay to RESTORE that virginity again, and again, and again, after each successive virginity sale to paying customers. This is a very lucrative business venture that may wind up being aped by Nigerian women who have been around the block numerous times, yet also wish to become virginity sellers, as a career option.

Oga Fluentinfor, thanks for taking your time to write everything you wrote. It is not easy to devote so much time to something that is not really one's problem. Those of us that have been saying the accused is guilty right from the start are those that know this scam very well. With your experience, you don't need to wait until a ponzi scheme collapses before you know it is fraud. You don't need to wait until I give my money to people "washing" dollars before you tell me it is a scam. There are some scams that follow a carefully orchestrated pattern and when you see someone that has already fallen, you just know the money is gone. In this age where people will rather take pictures than help accident victims, a farm manager has no pictures to prove that a farm he is managing was engulfed! If that doesn't smell like a scam, I wonder what will. He also blamed the investor for not coming to see the farm. That is ridiculous. If the presence of the investor was so important, why did he keep collecting money? Why didn't he tell the investor to come and see the farm before paying any more money? He even claimed he stopped picking OP's calls because of insults and threats. Was he expecting OP to sing to him and praise him on the phone after all that happened? OP will be lucky if he gets his money because this looks like that time when scammers just change ID and office.

Good summary of discourse, the lesgupnigeria guy is a scam, you don't just embark on a project and nit have a schedule of activities to show that really the project really exist, the guy could not produce pictures of burnt fam till date and he has some group of minions trying to derail the thread in his favour, these guys are network of a PONZI farm scheme that takes people's cash with the pretence of engaging in farming activities.with mouthwatering ROI, if by now the OP. has not gotten any concrete payment plan from legsupnigeria it's just unfortunate the way we Nigerians behave in business transactions

Business / Re: FG, Chinese Consortium Sign $5.8bn Power Plant Agreement by Flaghouse1: 2:06pm On Nov 11, 2017
Jakumo:

The Chinese Global Money Machine is a force of nature for sure, particularly since the Chinese government funds most if not all "investments" committed to Africa. From the rampant deforestation of the Congo's hardwood rain-forests, to Ghana's lethally polluting "Galamsey" gold-mining prospectors and rural gambling slot machine syndicates, to the wholesale acquisition of land by the square mile in Southwest Nigeria for the creation of sprawling mono-culture oil-palm plantations, the sheer pervasiveness of Chinese capital and resource exploitation, has assumed a gargantuan scale in recent years, for better, or for worse.

One of the notable attributes of Chinese business in Africa is that the real owners of Chinese concerns generally enlist local African representatives into managerial and public relations roles that comprise the "public face" of such corporate entities, so that the true extent of Chinese ownership, measured in billions of greenback dollars, remains shrouded in mystery by prudent policy intent.

Mindful of the reality that Third World nations can witness dramatic policy changes in the wake of election-day upsets, the Chinese tread with great care, and go to extreme lengths to keep their finances OUT of the spotlight in Africa, so as to minimize risk if, by way of example, federal or state land allocations issued to foreign-owned interests by outgoing government administrations, were to be a summarily overturned by nullifying edicts handed down when incoming administrations conduct the usual "spring cleaning".

Today, near the Lagos end of the Ibadan Expressway, sit several absolutely massive factory buildings that employ hundreds of Nigerian workers, yet notably, those mega-structures bear absolutely NO visible signboards to indicate ownership, product or purpose, for those major industries, all of which are very obviously Chinese-owned, and Chinese operated.

The second colonization of Africa, the economic one, this time around, has been under way for the past decade, and, simply put, there is NO stopping the runaway Chinese freight-train careening across the breadth of Africa, sowing millions of dollars, while reaping billions by all means fair and foul, as it rumbles along with gathering momentum.

Seem you really understand the concept of emerging markets dynamism , without much gain say the Chinese are silently taking over the Nigerian economic terrain with investment in various parts of the Nigerian economy, I hope we as a nation realise the potential threat this may pose attention the medium or long term by reversing this trend with the locals investing heavily in similar activities as the Chinese

I believe there is a document called the prospectus, and investors are always advised to consult with their financial advisors before taking a decision, not to consult with the company people they want to invest in.

The OP is the owner of the money. It is his duty to have performed due diligence on an investment to be made with his hard-earned money, especially given his precarious situation.

Quite agree with you, he would have done due diligence believing that the prospect of the business presented to him are real, the point is that all this story of goat eat cassava and hunter smoke benson and burn crops are just after thoughts from the farm manager after selling the crop to cover up his inadequacies as regards meeting his own part of the bargain, I would suggest when going into such arrangement it should be documented and clauses to protect the investors included and executed by a lawyer so that all these story will not arise if it's outside the scope of the agreed terms of the business transactions

As usual in Nigeria, no one blames the culprit, it's usually the fault of the victim. Did this Lesgup not know of all these before he collected money? Did he tell the victim of the importance of visitations before collecting the money? If The OP could be on ground do you think he would give anyone any money to farm for him. Didn't he make it clear that he wouldn't be around when he collected money. He has collected money, most likely harvested the cassava sold it and looking for flimsy excuses to frustrate OP. How y'all are spinning on OP now is what I don't get. So it's OPs fault that he trusted someone who represented himself as a trustworthy person. Very apt summary of the case on hand, the lesgupnigeria guy has a network of scammers operating on this forum with the way they are blaiming the OP , He did not bring up all these risk for the OP to weigh his options before venturing into the deal with him, after collecting money and possibly sold the harvest he is now spinning rubbishy bush abi farm fire and goat chop cassava story.

Liken it to investing in a big company do the investors come to the office daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly to see how the business is runner, they just wait at the end of the year to get dividends and bonus shares as rewards for capital invested.left with me alone I would have arrested the guy with SSS and let him start telling them the story of how gait ate the cassava and the hunter that smoke benson and hedges that cause the fire in the farm, Most Nigerians are dubious when it comes to entrusting them with money to do things on your behalf.
