BeauBragnar11: "Instead of OP buying a N1M PC, why not buy the one of 300k and save 700k"....That shows how intellectually deficient you are.....So in your small mind all PCs are same ...
Idiot!! I wanted to say "OP can do whatever he likes with his money" then it occurred to me that, that's the same advice that someone must have given your dad and your mum, about keeping you, when she realized she was pregnant with you, out of wedlock. So I will zip it and save the world's another disaster... |

What do you know about Laptops?? So in your fickle mind a 300k PC has the capacity to do the job of a N1M PC??
Do you know PC at all?? Lol... See as you dey bark like dog wey get mental breakdown. Because you dey tell your father and mother "shut up" for house no mean say you go dey rant online on everybody face. . I won't even talk about the PC sef. I want to address your disrespect. I'm in a good mood today, so I'll advise you, it's not everywhere and everytime you display your poor parental background and terrible home bringing. I didn't discourage your parents from bringing you up in a way that would make you of benefit to your family and the society, so I shouldn't be responsible for their lackadaisical attitude. You get! Now take your frustration and poor manners back to your parents at home. I'm not your mate. |

BoldBrainz: I'm trying to understand what laptop you comfortably bought for 1 million naira only to come on nairaland to lament about spending 160K on generator usage monthly.
Sounds like you have the tendency to be wasteful when you can have same satisfaction from spending lesser on alternatives.
My system cost me 370K. I don't own a generator. I have a solar power pack I ordered from New Jersey at a cumulative cost of 175K. It's charged with electricity as well and can keep my gadgets and system powered for 80 hours before the next charge.
I also have a mini solar installation done at 160K that enables me use two fans and bulbs and when electricity comes on, I use my AC.
Everything listed here didn't even cost me up to the amount you wasted to buy a laptop. Sometimes you have to plan according to economic realities. You have said everything I wanted to type. The OP sounds like an 18 year old yahoo boy. He bought laptop of 1m, and he is complaining of fuel of 160k per month. Why didn't he buy a laptop of 300k, then add the 160k he used in buying fuel for one month to the balance of 700k and rent a place of 750k where the power is relatively stable, and use the balance of 10k to eat catfish pepper soup? This nairaland has been taken over by kids, honestly. Where I stay in Abuja... I get an average of 20 hours power supply everyday. |

How would I consent to somebody tying me, all in the name of sex?
Something that mere rubbing the head of my pencil around a well lubricated cookie would take me to my destination.
What exactly would I be experimenting by allowing myself to be tied like a goat? |

Many states have no business sharing in Nigeria's problems.
Imagine, 80% of the country's stations are powered by gas.
Gas that we have in abundance oooo.
These Abuja policies are drawing some economically viable states backward.

chidiokay: Mumu !! the bankers you trust your money with are they not thieves the politicians you queue in the sun to vote, what do they do with national funds The pastors you rever so much what do they do with tithe and offering Even if you see a bag load with dollars will you report it to the police
IF you give it to the police whats the probability snake won't swallow the money
In Nigeria who is "TRUSTWORTHY" for real You are mentally unstable to compare bankers with thieves. That a few bankers misbehave doesn't mean "all bankers are thieves". That a few pastors are fake, doesn't mean "all pastors are fake". That some doctors are quacks, doesn't mean "all doctors are quacks". Can you say for your yahoo boys? I won't blame you, maybe YOU ARE A THIEF TOO. |

COMPAQ: Where there is a will, there is a way. We have data centers here in Nigeria don’t we? We can use another data center somewhere else say Ghana or SA for redundancy. Theses technologies are known, we don’t have to depend on Oyinbo for everything. After all the Netflix server for west Africa is in Ghana or is it Ivory Coast. A country that God blessed with crude oil, has not been able to build one functional refinery in over 30 years. it's data center that you think they'll go and start losing sleep on? Seems some of you underestimate the uselessness of this country. Serious. As far as it doesn't affect the elites, they won't do it! |

COMPAQ: Funny enough, this is where FG could help people. How about if the Ministry of Technology commissioned some tech guys to develop a Nigerian version of Uber that is owned by the government for which drivers pay 5%. The technology is already available. This is how the FG could help Nigerian youth. Besides it helps keep the money in country. Why would Uber take 35%of our local money for what? The government would also buy Amazon Web Servers right? Or you think it's just the app?. Have you ever wondered why the network downtime on these apps is usually less than 1%? And the app is almost 100% online? |

UBER took 35% of the total money I made and the rest of the money went to fuel (Bought fuel for N617 per litre). I got home on empty tank.
My profit was.... guess?
Five Hundred and Fifty Naira only (N550)
UBER drivers, please share your experience. Please bring the car, make I dey pay you 25k weekly. The car won't be on the road more than 30 hours per week. |
