You c all this policy copycats, must you do what others are doing? Can't we come up with better initiatives based on our states condition.

Now USA citizens are protesting lockdown, just wait a few more weeks and you will c put darling leaders doing exactly what US's policy will be.

Old men and copy copy. (Not too young to rule) younger citizens would had been braver to take extreme decisions to help move the country.

But in politics the more you know the less you see.

I pray today that the Lord of host, the ruler and the healer will heal Nigeria and purge out unwanted and distractive elements destroying this nation. In the name of Jesus
Many African leaders will rather die than to come up with independent and positive thinking.

With the way things are done in this country sometimes i think the country is under some kind of curse. They are more interested in embezzling the funds for testing than bother with testing anybody.

People that are making money off the bokoharam crisis.. you think corona will be an exception?

Thank God people are not dropping dead on the streets, i think people are busy infecting others and recovering without even knowing it.That is our saving grace.

Exactly my thought.....This virus has pass through many people body system without even knowing it...thinking that it is just ordinary malaria. [quote author=festacman post=87697047]Total lockdown especially in FCT and Lagos looking increasingly likely in the days ahead. My only fear is that millions of daily wage earners will be driven to storm the rich neighbourhoods in search of food to survive. And it might turn out a bit UNPLEASANT. I am sincerely scared for big men.

I wonder ooo....Majority of Nigerians are living from hand to mouth on daily basis, we will be shocked that number of people that hunger will kill will rapidly outnumber that of corona virus...then foreigners will start giving us some sort of relief.....If we have better government, this is the time that government will provide some relief but Nigeria as a control is too poor for that now...what a pathetic situation

I believe what Prof. Ogunyemi is saying is that there is no need to do a knee jerk response to the issue of Sexual abuse in our Universities. What they(legislators) should be focussing on is wholistic review of laws surrounding sexual abuse in Nigeria.
All sectors have gotten it, but most are too oppressed to have a voice.
You don’t just look into education sector alone and leave sexual predation in civil service, defence etc.
We know of sex for marks in University, I’m sure we are aware of sex for Jobs, sex for promotion, sex for contract etc.
So should the other evils be downplayed?
What we need is an wholistic review of the set law.

very on point....

Shame #
I suggest we should reason logically while reading not with political emotion.
Get these :

1. The fact that the project was commisoned by the present governor doesn't mean he initiated it.
2. It might also a federal government initiative project.
3. There is also possibility that it is a state funded project which may have started with SanwoOlu administration or not..

So be guided in your hasty conclusion.

Northern Nigeria thrives on mediocrity, see the kind of president they gave us, someone who never address Nigerians or Nigerian press directly what we are always hearing is this.
The president was ATTRIBUTED saying that no no haram has been defeated
As narrated by Garba shehu he said Mr president when he was about going to his private quarters made this statement
As was narrated by Lai Muhammad the president said that the boko haram sect has been technically defeated he was in London when he made the statement
As was narrated by Demi Adeshina the president was sitting down and was watching the super eagles match when he said that and I quote" insha Allah boko wil
l be defeated
As narrated by Lorita onochie, it was when members of ohaneze came to see him with some Palm wine in daura that he said boko harms was collaborating with IPOB to destabilize the country but they are on their way to be defeated, he was on his palour
And this statement was made same day, our president is a DEITY

I don't think it has to do with the North...Nigeria Higher Institutions of learning are corrupt....that is why i can not be in support of autonomy for these institutions. Thank God for social media, many of such cases has happened in the past but no chance of bringing it to public attention.

Politics / Donald Trump’s Congratulatory Message To Buhari On Nigeria’s 59th Independence by fm001(m): 3:19pm On Sep 30, 2019
Dear Mr. President:

On behalf of the American people, I extend our warmest greetings and congratulate you on the 59th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence.

Nigeria is among our strongest partners in Africa. We share common goals of expanding trade and growing our economic relationship. We are allies in the global battle against terrorism, and we want to see Boko Haram and ISIS-West Africa driven out of the region and other insurgencies like them dismantled. The United States welcomes efforts by your administration to diversify opportunities for your talented, creative, and hardworking people to the benefit of both our countries, Africa, and the world.

I am pleased that following our meeting last year, our Vice Presidents are also building on our longstanding history of cooperation. I wish the people of Nigeria continued success as you mark another year of independence.

Sincerely,

Donald J. Trump

Spot on.....My brother....10pm thing is fishy.....this should be investigated.
xolomonstrides:
Before we begin to blame authorities, I use that route once in a while, they close by 6.00pm. I remember one day when I got there by 2mins after 7pm, despite my pleading and offer to pay 3 Times the usual fare, they insisted that they were closed and do not operate after closing hours. Also life jacket if compulsory along that route. No passenger is allowed on boats without a life jacket. So this 10pm trip is fishy and by all indications illegal. Something is definitely not right
