I had to quit this kind of madness, 10 years ago. It was a great company, with great pay. A well known investment bank. Saved as much as I could, invested much of my savings into getting my place. After working, with good savings, I set up my own independent consulting firm in the same job functions I was handling. The money may not be flowing as it was coming as a regular staff, but my quality of life is top notch. The little fees I am earning from my consulting is paying my bills and I work at my own pace from my house. At this my level, being a billionaire is not my dream, but being able to earn a descent income and be in a good shape of health. Status wise, i don't see much difference between me and them. Some of them have also japaed and are in various places around the world.
