Obi made the worst political mistake of his life by running a solo race in 2023. This is Nigeria. You have to pay your dues properly before seeking the highest office in the land. He should have cooperated with Atiku in 2023. But no, some of his ardent supporters thought he could win without the political class. People need to study and understand the dynamics of Nigeria's political power system, especially, the presidency. |
![]() This is simply too funny!! It may have been done with good intentions, though ![]() He still look sick and unwell |
With this his K-leg and fat-filled tummy. ![]() |
Worse in Houston, especially, among my town union. Poknosing into people's private affairs, who is cheating and who is footing the bills. The cheating gossip is just too much, swirling like wild fires. Every town union meeting would be an opportunity to settle scores, with some going for physical fight with anyone that they believed must have gossiped against them. Then, those not wanting people to marry because of same gossip. It is the women sha. Me and my wife stayed in Houston for 4 months on a visit within our town's union circle but the gossips, back biting and jealousy we saw were much. But the good thing is that lots of people got their breakthroughs through their association with town union. You get certain privileged information, access to jobs and connections through the union. Just take the positives and throw away the dirts of association with your kith and kin abroad. |
Honestly, the economic outlook of this country , both in the medium and long term, looks so bleak. |
Gerrard59:You are correct. Those that studied courses with high math's and quantitative contents tends to perform better with job hunting because of their numeracy skills. You cant take away maths skill in today's job hunting. My former boss always made it clear to the HR that he needed people that are "very comfortable with numbers". That's the kind of people he likes hiring. |
There is nothing like "high" paying courses in Nigeria. Read your respective courses and graduate with good 2.1 or first class. Then, proceed and develop your data skills, quantitative and mathematical skills, writing skills, job search skills, networking skills and street smart skills, You may not be far from achieving modest success in your job hunting. |
Fond memories of the 80s and 90s 8:30PM to 9:00PM every Tuesday and Thursdays. Once you hear the intro sound of "Eddie Quansa" song, "Izu-ka-ma-na-neji", then, the "new masquerade" was about to start on TV |
He is correct, biko. The whole of South East Asia from Japan to China to all those countries with sleepy faces are the same. To enter Japan no be moimoi if you are black. |
Sometimes, it's not by school. It is by natural talent and personal efforts. I get excited when I see students from public schools, excluding FGCs and public model schools, excelling in professional examinations. |
Something important must be in this Niger for world powers to be jostling to have a presence in the Sahel country. Is it because of their Uranium or what? |
Ebonyi people and conflict!! I usually pity their young ladies wanting to marry, especially wanting to marry Anambra man. As a young lady from that place, once you tell an Anambra man that you are from Ebonyi, him don run ![]() One thing always comes to mind in most Igbos once you mention that you are from Ebonyi. |
onlinestaff247:The laser hair transplant surgery he did on his head is affecting his overall body. He used to be bald before he did hair implant. There is always a price to pay when one decides to cosmetically change the composition of his or her body. |
And Wayne Rooney is younger than this guy ![]() How come?
|
Mariangeles:Are you sure? Golden morn that I take like a kid with liquid milk sometimes. It always reminds me of my times in the boarding school. It seems you didn't attend boarding school. |
udomonday:You got it!!! All his signature buildings and structures are totally different from a typical government buildings. See the Oshodi interchange, even though I considered it an over built and other of his legacy structures. His Structures are more of arts and aesthetically appealing than normal building |
This guy is too crude. You see the reason BAT delayed with giving him any appointment. BAT could be wise sometimes. It was Gbaja and some campaign members that pleaded on behalf of this Bayo before BAT finally accepted to give him something. Yet, he has been proving BAT right for knowing his kind of person. Where is FFK? BAT wouldn't bring that one on board. He would bring serious disrepute to the presidency. |
I love the architecture of the building. I was expecting to see the normal Nigerian kind of structure. |
I have lost faith in the Nigerian power sector tey tey! The reason I don't bother with all the trash successive governments have been talking. Imagine the statement: It would take at least $10bn annually for 10 years to improve power supply in Nigeria. What does that tell you? No hope! If you are a middle class or earning a descent income, just get your self an alternative power supply in form of Inverter and solar. I did and I never regretted. I run 20 hours on solar everyday and switch to NEPA late in the night because of no sun. By early morning , max 7am, the sun is out and I am back to solar. I use nepa when I want to enjoy AC. Otherwise, I am always on solar. It surprises me to see modern beautiful houses still running on diesel generator instead of flooding their roof tops and car shades with solar panels that could power the house with clean energy. Nigerian power sector is gone! |
kad199:You have to get your mind prepared for the worse. Work towards your mental health as the challenges of job search could be unnerving and depressing. My own person just got her first job after 9-months of landing in Canada. After submitting close to 200 applications. She is in the health and community services sector. Prepare your resume for housekeeping, laborer, cleaning jobs, which they call " custodian " jobs. Depending on your discipline or even any discipline, you may do some certification in First aid/CPR, Safe food handling, Customer service certification, Security Guard certification, Smart Serve, Lifting, Positioning and Transferring. This is to enable you to be competitive for students jobs. The battle for jobs in Canada is fierce and you have to always tailor your cover letter and resume to each job you are applying. You may also have to take your resume to visit fast food outlets, malls, warehouses. agencies and construction sites to submit, for on the spot assessments. Thousands of international students are pursuing the few available jobs. Why preparing your resume for a student job, leave out all those your Nigerian experiences out. You can't be looking for a "housekeeping" job in Canada and included your "financial analyst" job role you did in Nigeria in your resume. Its also better you do volunteering jobs in Canada and include it on your resume than putting all those Nigerian experiences there. A Canadian employer wanting to a hire a student for a job would prefer someone without a Canadian experience but had volunteered with a Canadian organization than someone with just Nigerian experiences. At least, the place you volunteer would be willing to provide you with references, which is a critical part of recruitment in Canada. Job hunting now in Canada requires one to have good mental resilience or else stress and depression would affect your academic. The only exception is if you are loaded and could go months without requiring financial assistance. But if you must work to support or augment your finances, you have to brave for the huddles. Good luck! |
Amuluonyenaego:Absolutely! As a parents, we should be the best friends to our kids. This would give them the courage to tell and share anything with us, no matter how bad the news may be. |
I understood why the Catholic church locked up the place. Most people that uses school's open ground for sporting activities during weekend usually damage things there without any consequences. I have seen it in Lagos, where Saturday and Sunday morning footballers usually spoil pupils' chairs, desecrate the toilets and other facilities. Lagos state banned the use of schools for those activities to stop that. Ugbomili primary school may have been a government built primary school but Peter Obi handed schools over to either the Catholic or Anglican churche during his rein for better management and so far, those two missions have done great jobs in managing schools under their care in Anambra State. It is sad that most neighborhoods in Nigeria do not have open ground for sporting and recreational activities, the reason why people resort to school grounds. |
Has he cornered the campaign money alone? The kind of thuggery that goes on at the lower ends of politics is mind-boggling. Campaign coordinators are known to control huge resources distributed by their principal. Some of them will pocket some without carrying other members of the thugs along. RIP to him. Nigerian politics is not for the faint hearted. |
Road safety officials work is now to be confirming accidents and casualty figures. They have abandoned their core duty of high way patrol and enforcement and seizure of articulated vehicles on federal highways. They are everywhere in the inner city centers, harassing motorists going about their normal business. Imagine if the FRSC within that axis was on a regular patrol, they would have picked up the victim, apply CPR/FIRST AID, and take him to the nearest hospital. They only appear when the damage has been done, to evacuate bodies in their pickup vehicle. FRSC should go back to the law that established them under IBB. Their job is on the federal high ways not on the hidden corners of inner streets in various cities in Nigeria. |
He is always looking serious. I want him to be putting up little smiles ![]() |
Unmet needs is driving lots of Nigerian professionals, crazy abroad. My town union keeps hearing about marital brawl between some of our town's couples abroad, bordering on infidelity, finances, disrespect and bills sharing. Some men that were previously doing well in Nigeria have struggled to land descent jobs abroad, while their wives that used to be respectful before has now become the "tormentor- in -chief" to the man. Some men have also become jealous because of their wife's perceived success. If you are not emotionally and mentally strong, japa is not for you |
Nigerian army should be showing gallantry when it matters most. E jinu mgba-gbu aghara ogu? |
Something must be wrong with this country. Things that other African countries easily pulls through will be a rocket science when it gets to Nigeria's turn. One minister that said that generating electricity is not a rocket science, left the electricity worse than it met it as a minister. What is wrong with our country, bayi? |
Senator Fred Ajudia wasn't there or he wasn't informed? Oh I forgot, he only goes for projects inspection with Wike |
See how Remi Tinubu was looking. She shouldn't worry. Jagaban will show her public affection with a passionate kiss. |
The title still belongs to City. They still have two matches yet to be played, which they will easily win. |
EreluRoz:They will soon ask you for "pictures or I don't believe" you crew. ![]() |
