I totally disagreed with you. Nigerian Universities have no impact on quality and behaviour of its graduates. It depends on individual person. Nigerian universities, have seen, lost its glory in moulding people in character and in learning. It is what you make of yourself that will take you far in life. It is not about the Nigerian university that you attended.

SMH.....Politicians and Pastors are the biggest sellers and marketers of "hope" in Nigeria. They have seen the hopelessness in Nigeria and in Nigerians , the reason why selling "hope" is a good business. Religion is indeed, the opium of the masses.

The truth is, most of these manufacturing companies are transitioning to costs effective model of business operations, which is importation. No more manufacturing. Just build a warehouse and get some middle men to act as distributors and agents. No permanent staff, less overhead, not much fixed assets. Just buying and selling like an Onitsha man. People should stop using UK's education system as a route to Japa. The truth is, 99% of students are actually planning to stay over after their studies. Reason why Indians, Nigerians, Chinese and Bangladeshi people are in majority, because most of them are just economic migrants, with education as the easiest route to japa. The Universities in UK are selling immigration and not education. If the lady in question have letter, evidencing that her professor promised her funding before coming for the PHD program, she should tender it. Nobody sponsors himself or herself for a PHD program overseas. Ph.D abroad is very selective and Professors must take you as a student first, before the Registrars processes your admission. Moreover, funding covers only tuition and research expenses and not living expenses - this one that she is also complaining of inability to settle her accommodation. Did the professor promised to take care of her accommodation as well? I hope it is not format, as we Nigerians are never short of format to use once there is a removal order.

Palestine would have been more developed and progressive if they had accepted Israeli authority from 1949. Trust me, Israel would have deployed their human capital to help develop Palestine. But since Palestinians sees Israelis as enemy, there won't be peace. It is better to live in peace and prosperity under Israeli occupation than to live in poverty and misery under Hamas rule.

Lets give him one more year. The demands of being a president could be overwhelming. People should not just criticize him, but offer concrete advise. My main concern is his health. He doesn't look strong and energetic to superintend over huge demand of his office. That is why some of his aides would be messing around and not doing their jobs. I don't know why APC just ignored the Star boy, the former VP, Osibanjo. He would have fared better and manage the country better as a President. The truth is that, he was much liked by people across Nigeria than any of the contestants from LP or PDP or NNPP or APC.

My advise to the President is that, he should work towards exchange rate stability, rein in inflation, improve security and power.

The president should ignore this " jobber". This has been the Hallmark of former British PMs. While in office, they won't assist you on anything. But once they leave office and forms one NGO or join one international agency, they will be looking for developing countries to partner with, and milk them. Tony Blair, David Cameron, Gordon Brown,
they are all the same. Looking for mumu countries to fund their NGOs and interests. Nigeria should not partner with him on any nonsense NGO or contribute a dime. He should go and meet Sunak or the British people to partner with them. By the way, is it just a former prime minister that the president and this large entourage received and hosted? It seems people are not busy in the presidency. I hope they won't fly this visit as an achievement. Tony Blair can't visit Nigeria without any " benefit-in-kind".

Many of the comments here are from kids unborn at the time. I remember the movie like yesterday. Nigeria was really backward in thinking. I’m surprised the military regime at the time didn’t put a halt to our young industry.

That movie was the first erotic movie I watched. Nollywood was booming then and people were always anxious to see the next release. I watched the movie then with my sisters and it was so awkward watching that scene then. Honestly, It was shocking that the military was just aloof and unconcerned about the movie industry then.

Try jam them in a supermarket. You will be wondering if this hard economy is not affecting them. The way they stuff their baskets and shopping trolley with groceries and consumables will shock you, especially those ones that comes to mall with their olosho girl friends.

Some men could be careless and less observant. You can't carry your child in your hands, looked at the child, watched the child made her or his first steps, watched the child cried, laughed and exhibited certain traits without seeing some of your features or that of your family in that child. This only happens to men who are not involved in the growth of their children.

Nigeria's higher institution system is nothing to write home. I can't even believe that I passed through the system. Lecturers exhibiting wickedness towards students and treating students like trash. Mehn, I felt what it meant for one to pass through a higher institution during my masters in UK. I saw the commitment of my Lecturers, department and school towards my development. I was treated with respect, likewise other students.

I pity them. However, they should not accuse the university of being "heartless ". The university must have given them warning and notices and even agreed on payment terms with them. Institutions abroad follow due processes in doing things. Sadly, default would still happen. The university will have no other options than to remove them. You can't work to fund your studies abroad but some people won't hear. They will always want to believe one fairly tale of how someone was able to work and pay his fees. Twenty hours pay week is insufficient to muster the kind of money that would pay your tuition fees and living costs.

The family of the lady just wants to heap the unfortunate incidence on the husband. She may have been having a challenging marriage but I doubt if She committed suicide because of that. Something else must have happened to her and the lady's family wants to use the opportunity to deal with the husband, whom they felt is not a responsible man.

I don't understand this comments from some people that, "She still loves him". Listen to what the man said, that since he married her, he has not had piece of mind and happiness. How could the woman have loved the man and still unable to make him happy? Marriage and love is all about making the other person happy.

The money he spent to train his daughter in Yale University can comfortably turn around some department in LAUTECH or refurbish some secondary schools in Ibadan to high standard. Yale is not a small school. You pay close to $60k in that Ivy league school.

Also, blame some ignorant obidients for entertaining the man on twitter. Obidients are fond of replying every messages, even from a lunatic. They should cultivate the habit of engaging less on social media.

Labour's demand is unrealistic and unreasonable. That would make the inflation even worse. But I don't blame. Nigerian government are known for profligacy and waste. You can't keep telling your citizens to make sacrifices while keeping retinue of aides and advisers with huge salaries.
