Always celebrating mediocrity in this part of the world. It is not about Anambra, that's my state. It's about Nigeria and Nigerians as a whole. Our standards of governance and perception of what sustainable development and governance should be, are terribly low. |
georgeakins:Nobody knows - cancer just comes - same way people have other categories of cancer. Most times, by the time it could be detected, it has degenerated into a metastasis situation. |
Pancreatic Cancer is the worst form of Cancer - my own relative lived just four months after being diagnosed of the disease. It was fast and resulted in multiple organ failures. |
Ojukwu rebelled and started growing beards. He allowed the ranks and file of Biafran army to do the same. But none could muster the courage to do the same. |
This grid should be decentralised. It is even a concern that Nigeria still operates a centralised grid system that poses an energy risk. I don't know why we like centralised system in all spheres of our national life. A North East grid collapsing shouldn't affect power supply in South West, and vice versa. |
SMH.....What they did was wrong but why shut down the business? What's the essence of shutting down a business that's creating value? They should have been fined, instead. If it wasn't Gbenga Daniel 's daughter, would they have been shut down? Selective justice everywhere |
Owerri and Hotels!!! What is happening? They should try and set up manufacturing outfits naa, even if na toothpick production company. Go to Owerri, even in inner streets, most old buildings are being remodeled into 1 or 2 star hotel. |
I am not excited - Young people seems to be ruthless in looting than their grandpas This one with two wives, you can imagine. I am not against young people being in political leadership but they have not proven to be any different from their older ones. |
Why did he stand to snap picture with the victim? No respect for the girl's privacy The way we do things in this part of the world is despicable - from the so called learned people to the uneducated ones in the street. See him, the human right activist, posing like a cultist, to snap picture with the victim, whose privacy should be uppermost in his mind. But no, social media validation is more important to him than the privacy of the minor. |
This one will come back in a body bag. So sad! See his wedding ring. His wife and children will be waiting for his return that will never be. |
My people, this judgment is very DANGEROUS!!! Someone the Supreme Court, the highest court in the land, has been described as an "IMPOSTER", erroneously received pension as a former governor, was let out of the hook by a lower court!!! Lots of interpretations would be given to this judgment when people gets something for which they are not qualified for, and for which they never applied for, but got it in "error". |
At the end, 70% of them are leaving the country. It doesn't benefit their region or the country. Nothing in this country is geared towards the overall benefit of the country because of bad leadership that has diminished any sense of patriotism among Nigerians. Our education system should be purpose driven for the overall development of the country. Sadly, corruption and nepotism will continue to embolden people to ply their trades outside the shores of the country. |
I dont even shout at my children again under any circumstances or provocation. ![]() There were things they would do that I would be like, if I beat you ehh!!! ![]() I will simply walk away and go and chill and later call the errant child to caution him or her. Same applies to the people on the street that offends me one way or the other, including unruly motorists and Danfos Keep your BP lively and good. Shouting and anger is not good for the body. |
This man no de rest? It is good sha, just that no electoral value will come out all these visits. There will not be election in 2027 in Nigeria. It will just be a confirmation of the current president and governors that are in good books. |
Coolsat:Dreamer!!!! If you think that any merger between Obi and El rufai would work, you are just dreaming. Obi may not even be on the ballot in 2027. You think any opposition would be able to unseat Tinubu? Very impossible. Voters apathy in 2027 would be second to none. Atiku or Kwakwanso may be the likely contestants against Tinubu and Tinubu would trounce them convincingly. |
Even though, I am not his follower, neither do I attend his crusades. The truth is, the guy is very influential. He would use his connection to deal with the so called, "Ijele" guy. The thing has even gotten to the office of Inspector of Police's office. That tells you how influential the Pastor is. Pastor Ebuka would surely deal with the guy. |
Nawao! Yet, some acclaimed educated people haven't stepped their foot on any local government chairman's office. In this life, whatever trade you have chosen for yourself, be the master in that game. You will "go" places ![]() |
So sad! We lack organization skills in this country - from the leaders to the followers - gross indiscipline and lawlessness and disorganization. Why not organize the sharing of the palliatives in a proper manner? Must we behave like zoo? - I am so pained right now and above all, see how they exposed their corpses to everybody as if they are nothing! When I was in the UK as a student, my school usually gave students some food items to cushion the effect of hardship some students may be facing, especially the international students. If you needed to collect "palliative" from the school's food bank, you book online and you will be scheduled the time and place to come and collect it in the school. Once you arrive at that time, your name was already written on your own items and you just pick it up. No stress; No queuing up. But you must come at appointed time or else you reschedule. |
This statement is just too petty. As if he, himself, does not have a dom account or even a foreign account. Some of these appointed SAs always behaves as if they love the country more than themselves, but when they leaves office, you start hearing huge embezzlement from government treasury. He should just maintain and allow the market to "punish" the speculators and hoarders of the currency instead of sounding the alarm that cannot be verified. |
Good one, Cardoso. Government should ensure that proceeds of corruption are not offloaded on the market, especially looted naira cash. This is one of things that causes naira to depreciate. Once politicians and their associates discharges their looted funds into the system, so much naira money will be chasing few dollars, making devaluation inevitable |
That has been the practice since last year. I somehow support this - you cannot be asking for cheap government FX when you have not paid your taxes. Just that there is no more difference between the official market and parallel markets. |
![]() See anger everywhere from people above This is why graduates from Covenant, Afe Babalola, Reedmer and Madona Universities are dominating graduate trainee positions in companies these days. They are the most likely people to graduate and do their NYSC on time before the age of 26. I graduated at the age of 23 because I did a five year course in 2003 , completed my own NYSC at 25 and wrote more than 10 aptitude tests by age 26. Got a graduate trainee job with an investment bank at 26, which was the age they put during the job advert. Graduate or Management Trainee position remains the best route to break into corporate world. An opportunity to be trained and groomed by a well-known bank, consulting firm, IOCs, Multinational or a "juicy" agency of government like NNPC or CBN is a sure guide to a "prosperous" career in the future. If you are lucky to get such an opportunity, do not waste it. |
HeroicMeastro:This is what baffles me about Nigerians. Nigerians could be very nice to Oyibo, even forming "phonetics " just to speak like them, forming disciplined person, nice, respectful and courteous. But once they step into Nigeria or interact with their fellow Nigerians, the madness, disrespect and arrogance starts. I hope he has his papers, otherwise he won't be allowed to return back. Most nigerians in US are not coming home because they haven't perfected their papers. |
See children everywhere. Oga, there is nothing wrong with that as you are the child's father. Blood group or genotype are usually asked in case of emergency to know if you could provide blood. When my son entered nursery school, the form the school gave me to fill asked for all my details, including blood group and genotype |
Porn addiction has finished most secondary school students. Imagine!, an 11 year old girl? The boy's parents should also be arrested.....they are culpable as they failed in their parental duty. |
toyosiolamide:Oga, he is still right! The fact that he belongs to labour party, an opposition party in control of a region in UK, is a good one for the eventually defeat of Sunak in the general elections. It means that he would work for his labour party 's candidate, Sir Steirmer in the general elections against Sunak. Imagine if other regions, Scotland and Northern Ireland falls to Labour, Sunak is done in the general elections. |
Urgent1Million:Trust me, any white man that has guts to contest election in Nigeria will win. Some of us are tired of our home grown politicians that have wrecked havoc on the country. If a well-informed white man, seeks an elective position, I will be more inclined to vote for him than vote a typical Nigerian politicians. |
The road looks neat. Anambra South needs to be opened up, being the food basket of the state. Anambra Central and North have been receiving development since the creation of the state. The human capital development in Anambra South should also be taken serious. |
I don laugh tire ![]() Nigeria is just an assemblage of brain-washed religious fagots. Everything is linked to divinity...."God did it"; "God didn't do it for you". Even those with gross misrepresentation and lies and were lucky to get the visa, will come and sermonize about the result of their visa success, being because of God's grace and intervention. They are the "holy" ones that God loves while those that were unsuccessful with their applications are "sinners" and not loved by God. You see the reason why pastors and politicians will continue to take Nigerians for a ride. Religious leaders will tell that every success that will come to you must be destined by God and the politicians will tell you to keep praying for Nigeria for things to get better. Yet, they were elected to make the changes for things to be better. House 34 gave the most intelligent answer and I want to reiterate it again: Your success of receiving or not receiving visa approval is not dependent on God; it is strictly dependent your ability to meet or surpass the minimum requirements, with some elements of luck! |
Everybody is now talking as if they are saint, including the so called women. Come to our churches and see stark differences between house girls and the free born. May looking at the children following the woman, you could tell the ones that are hers and the house girl. You don't dare try that with me. My girl and my children usually looks the same. Some have thought that she was my first daughter. |
This combination of rice and spagetti no be for me. I dont know how people enjoy eating that combo. If you want to eat spagetti, eat spagetti; if you want to eat rice, buy rice. Anyway, Nigerians sabi combine sha ![]() |
My advise is always to go and face your hustle, especially, if you are a youth and still trying to find your feet Leave women matter - it would keep you off track. |
