Foreign AffairsRe: Greek Coastguard Threw Migrants Overboard To Their Deaths, Witnesses Say by Focusmind: 4:29pm On Jun 17, 2024
I am not a "white worshipper" but their humanity and compassionate nature is far better than what we see in our country and continent. You will be amazed at the care those refugees and migrants gets in Greece, Italy and Spain. Care that those migrants never got in their home countries. Their may be some hardliners within the security apparatuses of those EU countries, which is understandable but that doesn't take away the fact that EU in general has been more receptive and accommodating to migrants than other people.

SMH!!!! Nigerians and religion

One of the man's sticker that I normally see in people's shops and buses says, "If you monitor me, you will die". Nigerian pastors are too funny.
They can use any format to hold people on the juggler.
PoliticsRe: UAE Will Soon Announce Date For Lifting Visa Ban On Nigerian Travellers – Keyamo by Focusmind: 8:56am On Jun 17, 2024
Are they doing us a favour? See how he was talking as if UAE is an eldarodo, that every Nigerian must go to . We should also place visa ban on them. They placed visa ban on Nigerians and we are begging them to lift it as if our lives depends on visiting UAE.

Foreign AffairsRe: G7 Agrees $50bn Loan For Ukraine From Russian Assets by Focusmind: 5:00pm On Jun 14, 2024
The impact of this war on Russia is enormous. Russia underestimated the resolve of the West to support Ukraine. US is the undisputed superpower. As long as they are the ones printing and controlling the dollar, forget it, they will keep dolling it out to whoever they want. As long as dollar is controlling the world trade, US has upper hand in any economic or military confrontation with Russia. I am sure Putin is tired of this war but doesn't know how to end it. Russia may not get back up to 20% of their frozen assets after the war. Their own companies are suffering as they can't trade with other countries as some companies in other countries are afraid of US sanctions

Anambra Amaka! No community would want to be carved out from Anambra into any state. It's a thing of pride to claim that you're from Anambra state. The community doesn't want to loose that bragging right. For them, to hell with the new state. embarassed

Hello house,
Please what’s the job prospect for someone that is about to go for Masters in Education in Canada, although, the person already had B.Ed?
It's better you go for masters in early childhood education or post graduate certificate in early childhood education or even a 2 year diploma in early childhood education. This will be nice if you are lady. People should be selective with course of study in Canada these days for better job prospects. I see lots of people going to study courses that are of no value after graduation or courses where the competition for jobs is stiff or where you have to compete for jobs with the locals.

Ttipsy:
Rubbish and waste of time

If you do head count, majority of those adults voted for this current administration
Because they voted for the administration, they shouldn't protest if things aren't going as promised? Are they not better than some people that are defending government in the midst of overwhelming anger? People should not be insulted because of the decision they made in the last election. The economy would still have been like this if any of the top three candidates had won. The foundation of the current economic predicament was laid under Buhari

BusinessRe: Tolaram Group To Acquire 58.02% Shares In Guinness Nigeria by Focusmind: 2:50pm On Jun 11, 2024
The Indians are coming. By 2050, Indian companies would have bought over all the multinational companies in Nigeria and establish themselves as the biggest investors in Nigeria with strong influence. Indians, Chinese and the Lebanese are all taking positions in the Nigeria's corporate environment. I hope the Indians won't reduce the quality of Guinness or start doing satchet Guinness. They are experts in "satchetization" of consumer goods.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Recovers Billions In Assets For Oil Magnate, Arthur Eze by Focusmind: 10:35am On Jun 11, 2024
Agadinaagwuofe:
At the bolded, I understand the point you are making, but at his age he should be having a re-aligned focus of creating more legacy when he leaves. He doesn't need vendetta to prove a point that he can "deal with them" even though he has the power. His focus should be to take as many people as he can out of poverty, that is a reason to treat it with kids glove. If he is still a young man I might not have issues but as an old man he should be taking most disservice, ill treatment against him with simple wave of hand and not seeking retaliation. I really don't think his relatives and community can steal enough from him that can collapse him, he should have punish them with less force.
I agreed with you. He should have let go. How will his brothers see him? Definitely those guys are his nephews, which means he is a brother to their father.
PoliticsRe: EFCC Recovers Billions In Assets For Oil Magnate, Arthur Eze by Focusmind: 7:10am On Jun 11, 2024
Agadinaagwuofe:
Yes they are his nephews, I heard he has forgiven them but I am sure he wants to recover all they stole from him. I don't support them stealing from him but I don't think he still needs all these properties recovered. I agree with you he should have seek for out of court settlement but Arthur Eze na hardman wey no dey gree until he takes his pound of flesh.
Sometimes, you have to be strong and unapologetic with relatives in certain occasions. If you don't take time, they are the ones that will wreck you. It's very common within my community, where relatives have contributed to the collapse of once thriving business or individual's project
PoliticsRe: EFCC Recovers Billions In Assets For Oil Magnate, Arthur Eze by Focusmind: 4:39am On Jun 11, 2024
Are they his nephews? They should have tried to settle with him out of court. Arthur Eze is not an ordinary Nigerian. He is a shrewd businessman and highly connected

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Will Decide If Atiku Or Obi Will Be PDP’s Candidate In 2027 – Bafarawa by Focusmind: 4:04pm On Jun 09, 2024
PDP should forget about power. They messed up their opportunity in 2023, despite Buharis aloofness in APC. I believed that, if PDP had won, Buhari would have gladly handed over to Atiku. But Atiku and his associates thought that they would have a walkover in the 2023 election. They should wait till 2031 yo try their luck because BAT is not letting go power in 2027.
PoliticsRe: My Visit To Chinua Achebe's Residential House Ogidi, Anambra State(video&photos) by Focusmind: 3:59pm On Jun 09, 2024
I wished my state, Anambra, was well planned. It would have rivalled any city in Africa in terms of high rise buildings. This Ogidi was a remote village in the 80s. But the rise of prosperous Onitsha as a home of business and enterprise in Anambra has grown uncontrollable that it has swallowed neighbouring towns like Oba, Nkpor, Obosi, Nkwelle and Ogidi. Even Asaba in Delta has benefited from the spill over from Onitsha. Anambra seems to be the most urbanised in Nigeria. Government should do well to provide good inner roads and create more access road. The people would take care of other infrastructural development.
HealthRe: 22-Year-Old Nurse, Ginika Judith Okoro Dies In Her Boyfriend's House In Imo by Focusmind: 4:31pm On Jun 08, 2024
If this is true, the guy may be innocent. Just unfortunate that the girl died in his house. I have carried a lady in my car and she started convulsing or had an episode. It happened to her for like 10mins and she came back to life again, while I was trying to figure out the nearest hospital. Imagine if she had died in my car?

BusinessRe: CBN Revokes Heritage Bank’s Licence by Focusmind: 1:10pm On Jun 03, 2024
I knew it was a matter of "when" and not "if", the bank will collapse.

I hope they are ready to cope with the impending run on the bank by the customers. But I like the way CBN revoked the license with "immediate effect". CBN should take over the bank immediately, remove the current Management, dissolve the board and guarantee the continuity of the bank till a suitable buyer is found.
Science/TechnologyRe: China Lands A Spacecraft On The Moon’s Far Side by Focusmind: 12:57pm On Jun 03, 2024
"An enquiry into the causes of wealth of nations" by Adam Smith's , the father of modern economics, lies in Innovation, of which science and technology are the drivers of innovation. Innovative and productive countries will keep progressing and ushering in shared prosperity for its citizens while retrogressive countries will keep impoverishing their citizens.

CountinBlessins:
Firstly only a school like LASU this can happen to, A school that only breeds agberos and cultists The quality of graduates LASU produces is so low, you cant even engage a LASU graduate in a proper interview without wondering if truly the person is a graduate. 99% of the agberos carrying out oro festival beheading are LASU graduates.

This can never happen to Unilag, Uniben, University of Ibadan, UNN, ESUT, OAU, Nnamdi Azikiwe, EKpoma etc
I totally disagreed with you. Nigerian Universities have no impact on quality and behaviour of its graduates. It depends on individual person. Nigerian universities, have seen, lost its glory in moulding people in character and in learning. It is what you make of yourself that will take you far in life. It is not about the Nigerian university that you attended.
Christianity EtcRe: How Giving God N5,000 Brought Me N25,000, Foodstuff— Pastor Ibiyeomie by Focusmind: 12:30pm On Jun 02, 2024
SMH.....Politicians and Pastors are the biggest sellers and marketers of "hope" in Nigeria. They have seen the hopelessness in Nigeria and in Nigerians , the reason why selling "hope" is a good business. Religion is indeed, the opium of the masses.
PoliticsRe: NLC Mobilises Unions For Nationwide Strike by Focusmind: 12:25pm On Jun 02, 2024
They shouldn't disrupt my scheduled flight o. Labour should go and sort themselves out with the FG and leave ordinary Nigerians out. The so called minimum wage will affect only the civil servants, who are not up to 2% of the working population in Nigeria. Millions of people are working for a "one man" business , and seriously underpaid. Same with Millions of artisans working for themselves, who are not going to benefit on the minimum wage negotiation. Nigeria is not like the West, where minimum wage is uniform, across both public and private organisations and even "one man" owned - businesses.

They have offloaded 99.9% of their passengers in Njamene, Chad. Their own is that, the remaining passengers , who are Nigerians, should find their way to Abuja cry

They will get one local aircraft to ferry them to Abuja or give them transport money to take a road transport from Njamene through maiduguri to Abuja

BusinessRe: Huggies Maker, Kimberly-Clark To Stop Production Three Years After by Focusmind: 7:46pm On May 30, 2024
The truth is, most of these manufacturing companies are transitioning to costs effective model of business operations, which is importation. No more manufacturing. Just build a warehouse and get some middle men to act as distributors and agents. No permanent staff, less overhead, not much fixed assets. Just buying and selling like an Onitsha man. Very lucrative model of business. This is what government has turned companies and businesses into in Nigeria. I hope Nigerian brewery won't shut down production and start importing beers into the country. Producing something in this country is extremely costly , with the cost of power as the biggest hinderance to businesses
