We will go see movies, go watch football and sometimes go bowling too. After a short time we discovered we sort of started growing feelings for each other, I have not been dating for a year but he is in a relationship. Now we are both feeling bad because his girlfriend is really a nice girl, at least based on stuffs that i 've heard about her from him, but he claims he cant understand why he is this attracted to me too, said all he knows is he can just be himself around me without any fear or worries about what i think of him. VillageParrot: The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued the statement below in reaction to the emergence of Uche Secondus as national chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr. Secondus was elected at Saturday’s convention of the party amid allegations of vote buying and ballot rigging. At least one chairmanship candidate, Tunde Adeniran, has called for the cancellation of the election. The APC said the PDP has now been reduced to a regional party.

In reacting to revelations of how money-for-votes and systematic rigging was brazenly perpetuated during the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the All Progressives Congress (APC) is mindful of the popular axiom: “A leopard cannot change its spot”.
The abnormalities that trailed the PDP National Convention have further exposed the PDP as a Party not ready and willing to change. Indeed, the PDP has once again displayed itself to the generality of Nigerians that it is a Party with corruption deeply rooted in its DNA.
Again, it is tragic that the PDP which used to pride itself as “the biggest political Party in Africa” has now been reduced to a regional party. By frustrating South West Chairmanship candidates, it is unfortunate that the PDP has decided to punish the South West for not voting for the Party in 2015.

One of the contestants for the position of the national chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, has congratulated the winner of the election.
Dokpesi had initially protested the distribution of “Unity List ” to the delegates by unknown people at Eagles Square, venue of the convention, on Saturday night. His name was not on the list. All those who were on the list eventually won.
But when Secondus was eventually declared winner in the early morning of Sunday, Dokpesi in a statement, said that the delegates had spoken. He said, “I write to thank you (delegates) most wholeheartedly for voting at the just concluded Elective National Convention in Abuja.
“The delegates have spoken. I congratulate the newly elected Prince Uche Secondus led National Working Committee. “You will recall that i said that the PDP must be the ultimate winner at the end of the contest. Does anyone here actually know anyone who has stopped giving their tithes? Anyone who actually used to take 10% of their earnings and give to God through the church that has stopped since the Large outcry against tithe on social media started?
I ask this because contrary to many people's opinions when looking at the affluence of pastors nationwide. A lot of people do not give their tithe! And I believe that it is this same people that are coming out to cry against giving tithe. Is the movement really working when it is people that do not give tithe that claim to be part of it? It takes a lot to take 10% of income and give to the house of God. I once made a sale of 70k+ and 10% of that is #7,000. That is a lot of money relatively. The bigger your income is, the bigger your tithe. It takes a lot of faith for someone to give their tithe especially since they know that it is a man just like themselves that is collecting it. No one is a fool unlike that Daddy freeze and the rest claim. People know just where their tithe is going physically. It is going to take a lot more than arguments to make them stop something that they believe in deeply enough to make them part with their hard earned cash, especially if they have personally seen the benefits of giving it.
So is the anti-tithe movement not a waste of time. When all the members are those who never used to give tithe in the first place? What use is a movement that seeks to enlighten but has not actually enlightened anyone enough to make them change their behavior?

Drinokrane: Media personality, Daddy Freeze has in his usual routine, come for Nigerian pastors – this time around, he says most pastors are into the work of God just because of the money involved.
Freeze says Nigerian pastors left their professions because they can’t earn as much unlike in the ministry.

My friend just shared his story with me. I have advised him but I need your thoughts.
He met a lady around March this year and they became friends. He is an Accountant and works with a Federal Government Agency in Abuja. Along the line he asked her out and she insisted he finishes his ICAN before they can start dating.
Long story short, she later accepted to date him. Probably because he passed all but one of the exams in the Professional stage of ICAN. He recently invested some huge sum of money into a biz deal. He told me it was actually all of his savings and he would become a multi millionaire if the deal works out.
He decided to test this lady to find out if she will stick with him if the going ever gets tough (as a result of our insistence that the lady isn't really into him). And so he told her that the deal he was working on had failed and that he has become broke. He said he will like to marry her and try to sustain themselves on his current salary of about 180k pending when things become better but she replied that she can't marry someone who is earning 180k monthly. She feels it would make her drop from her standard of living as she wants to live inside the city of Abuja and not in the outskirts like Karu or Kubwa. Mind you, her parents live in one of these places and the guy is not even thinking of living in anywhere beyond these places like Nyanya/Mararaba.
This guy loves this girl so bad and is a very hardworking guy. He is hoping to get promoted when he completes his ICAN and is even looking at getting a better job in a bigger Government Agency or a Multinational company. He is so distraught at what the lady said. We have advised him to forget about her and move on, but he is considering opening up to the lady that what he said about the deal was just a test in the hope to make her re-consider him.
Please, were we wrong with our advice? Meanwhile, this guy's ex loves him like there is no tomorrow and she will gladly marry him even if he was earning 30k monthly but due to family pressure on him to marry a graduate and an Igbo lady, he broke up with her. Me thinks he can still persuade his parents to accept the lady.
If you were in our shoes, will you advice your friend differently?
Thanks for your comments. The lady earns around 180k but she mentioned that she spends around 300k when going shopping and she is scared she would no longer be able to do that if she marries him as she would have to contribute almost all her salary to maintaining the family.

abefedammy: Halima Salihu, an Abuja-based businesswoman, has approached a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) sitting at Maitama, Abuja, seeking the dissolution of her marriage to her husband, John Nouhayin, on the grounds of desertion.
The petitioner informed the court, presided over by Justice Peter Affen, that she got married to the respondent on June 16, 2014 at the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) marriage registry and were issued with a marriage certificate.
According to her, her husband left their Kubwa, Abuja residence on July 27, 2014 without telling her anything, only for her to later discover that some of his belongings were no longer in the house.
She said; “My Lord, we got married on the 16th of June, 2014 at AMAC marriage registry. We were given a marriage certificate that day. We moved in together as husband and wife after the marriage.
“On the 27th of July, 2014, he left the house at Kubwa without saying anything to me. I waited throughout that day. His line (telephone) was not going through.
“I later found out that some of his belongings were no longer in the house,” the petitioner told the court.
She informed that she contacted her husband’s family to tell them the issue on ground but the response they gave was unsatisfactory.
The petitioner added that it was then she contacted her uncle and told him what was happening.
“My uncle met with his family who told him that he had travelled out of the country and that he was no longer interested in the marriage. I still waited hoping that he would change his mind and come back.
“But up till now, he has not come back. That is why I brought the matter before my Lord,” the petitioner told the court.
She, therefore, pleaded with the court to dissolve the marriage.
Counsel for the husband, Abubakar Muhammed, told the court that he did not want to cross-examine the plaintiff.
He stated that based on the instruction of his client, all the wife said in her petition before the court was true.
According to the counsel, “based on the instruction of my client, the respondent confirmed that all she claimed in her petition is true and he has no objection to the petition.”
Muhammed then urged the court to grant the relief sought by the petitioner.
Meanwhile, Justice Affen has directed parties in the matter to file their written addresses within seven days from Wednesday, November 29, 2017.
He, therefore, adjourned the case till Tuesday, December 5, 2017 for adoption of final addresses.

We just received information that Carl Maobi, a member of the Atheist Society of Nigeria is allegedly being held against his will at Ejebronus Psychiatric Clinic, Osina Ideato South, Imo state.
Carl, an ex-Jehovah Witness was bundled into a car and driven to the above location without his consent and an adequate explanation as to what is happening.
