I agree with the op, but not completely, i will say it depends on ur phone type. i use a tecno h5, RAM is 512, though I love chrome, but chrome doesn't work well on it, I tried a running a news portal last year, but had to stop. but I built http://lifelinkswithfolks..com with my phone, n d only thing I have been unable to do is edit d template html. but I love d thread anyway, have gained a lot. |

Carlcaresophia: Hi! We're very sorry for all the phone problems, but you can take your phone to our Carlcare Service Center, our colleagues there will help you solve the problem. And if you need us to send you the contact information of our service center, pls tell us the city and state you're living in. Thank you! wish I saw this kinda thread before buying tecno h5, d phone is always so slow no matter how much I try to free RAM, I can't even play games, can't play music too cos the phone will shutdown by itself once d backlight is off. i can only use an old version of opera mini browser cause all other browsers constantly lags n freezs. n to make matter worse, tecno refuse to provide updates to fix these issues. nothing bout the phone is smart. |

Toeyoursea: The banks violated the TSA agreement and they should be made to face the wrought of the law. The price hike is the price the government will have to pay for doing the right thing and I think it is worth it. They will learn to take Nigeria serious next time; THE ERA OF IMPUNITY IS OVER. i don't like calling people zombie, but ur comment is out of this world. |

menxer: The obverse of the question is equally valid, why was PDP voted out with all these infographic achievements? Was GEJ a failure in government?
Why did PDP not bombard us with all these infographic achievements during the campaigns when it would have mattered, or have they started the campaign for 2019? give Nigerians a dozen of facts n figures, majority won't take it, we love lies n noise, wish we have a new noisy party for Nigerians to fall in love with real soon. |

lexiconkabir: You still dont get it do you? Ok, let me give a simple analogy, a child breaks the handle of a door, then carefully puts it back as a trap for another person to take the blame, the next person touches the handle and it "breaks", in reality who broke the handle? you see? it's not that simple. lemme expand that a lil. the child breaks d door handle, another person comes and reveals d handle is broken, but then promises d owner of d house to fix d handle ASAP, only if the owner will order d child to leave d house, the owner obliged him, d child leaves, but then, after a year n half, this person is still holding d broken door handle screaming 'the child broke the door, not me' but then, the handle was not fix n d door itself is now going down too. that is how I will describe the situation. sorry for d long drama lol. |

Folks4luv you have to read this too. I know some may be singing d praises of PDP, but I dont do that, i don't believe PDP is d best to happen to Nigeria since bread n butter, but to say APC is a Canaan of some sort is absurd. u think d politics of 'chop I chop' ended with PDP? give APC more time to produce more jibrins. pdp didn't leave d country in a good shape but the truth is, APC worsened d situation, that's d fact APC apologists won't admit |

Christianity Etc › Re: From Atheism To Jesus: My Testimony by folks4luv(f): 1:04pm On Aug 17, 2016 |
winner01: TheSixthSense, I praise God for your life. I've also been in such a situation. I stem from an islamic background and later professed Christ (after someone preached to me) even though I didnt even know what I was into. I sought to know the reality of the scriptures. Nigerian churches were not helping matters. During my service year, I had to stop going to church because the preaching and testimonies and even seats were clear show off, no single regard for the poor and needy. They had few churches around and most were the same. I remember my older brother who had just got converted telling me to just seek God and keep an open mind. I had told him earlier that i'm okay and I live a good life, I didnt need anybody to tell me what to do. I didnt want to be affliated with religion or even atheism. I just wanted to be that free intelligent and self-reliant human. My parents also encouraged freedom of religion so that made it easy.
I "enjoyed" my life to the fullest. What we call enjoyment is actually killing us. I lost 2 of my friends to alcohol. One drowned while drunk, the other died while driving him to the hospital. I remember we had an accident while coming back from a club in lagos, the car summersaulted from overspeeding, no one was injured, we all got down laughing at our drunk friends who drove.
Recently one of my very close friends called me to tell me that she does not have a womb anymore. Do I need to talk about my battle with glaucoma. Most of the friends that I had are either addicts of alcohol, marijuana e.t.c. So I smile when atheists are telling me to enjoy my life. I actually live a better life right now than the sick, unrestrained and devil controlled life I've lived as a young man. I've noticed that the devil is in control of most of the lives of those people who think they are directing themselves.
My being sober still did not lead me to Christ, an ex-cultist made me see the world for what it really is. A man who was active in a spiritual realm controlled by demons started to tell me the inner workings of such government. I started to think to myself "are these things real?"...
Bros, lemme just stop here. I've seen things in this life. I'm more than convinced that Jesus is Lord. Maybe I should just open a thread on why I am a Christian. and I will love to read your story...please? |

And now, buhari hasn't even completed a tenure... Why not wait? dumb people should refrain from arguments u should say. Christianity Etc › Re: Oyedepo & Kumuyi Meet At Abuja Stadium To Pray For Nigeria by folks4luv(f): 6:58am On Aug 10, 2016 |
plaetton: Acidosis, I remember a very memorable quote of yours. The one in which you wrote " Common sense is your enemy " ( when it comes to religion) .
With that quote in mind, I see clearly where you're coming from.
Now, back to the issue.
In every nation, there are always a small minority of people who exist and live on the fringes of lunacy. These are not policy makers nor people who influence the direction of national policies.
Joel Olstein, T.J Jakes, Benny Hinn, Crefto Dollar, etc, are the similar set of charlatans that feed fat on the people on these fringes.
Now, here is the problem.
In Nigeria, the far majority of the population are beholden to magical thinking, and are permanently stationed on the fringes of lunacy.
For charlatans like Kumuyi and Oyedepo, these are inexhaustible resources to mine and exploit for huge profits.
In the countries that you mentioned above, men and women whose worldviews are anchored on magical thinking are not allowed to filter through their systems and occupy positions where they make decisions that affect the entire populations.
Aside from being daylight money fraudsters, these two men spread a horrible mental disease that takes many many generations to cure. I agree with you on d point you made about a small percentage of d people being a fanatic, but I disagree with your conclusion. religion can be said to have suffered a huge decline in d past decades, but those advanced countries were highly religious when they were building the foundation of their country. it is easy to blame religion, but a country like Saudi Arabia is developed yet highly religious. America is no more religious but the citizens are crying the country has witnessed a huge decline in development. if all you want to do is blame something or someone for Africa's stunted growth, don't you think there are more areas or things u can blame? |
