Hello Hotstepper, I sent you a dm. Really need your help. I applied for a visa for birthing purpose and I just got a response for additional documents. Which is to include letter of appointment from a Doctor. I have a few days to respond. Are you able to please help me? I applied to go to Ontario.

Please help.
Talk to your doctor about it; it's not impossible though most Canadian docs don't give letter.

I filled others and i wasnt asked for letter of invitation
That's correct. That's why I said there might be other parameters to warrant it.

I'm also wonderimg why they are asking you for invitation letter. What did you fill as your purpose of visit in the questionnaire you filled. If you picked visiting, it will require for letter of invitation. If you picked tourism or other, it wont ask you for letter of invitation. So you might want to edit your questionnaire again and fill appropriately
This is not true.' Other' will ask you for letter of invitation. I think there are other parameters for it too.

Obviously you have not being reading or you refused to read at all, take your time and go through US birthing thread from part 1 till the current part and tell me if anything has changed.

US is far bigger than Brazil and birthing there is not free but still they slammed the door to a large number of people going there to give birth even as they will be paying, Brazil offers free health care and will do the same sooner than US when a large proportion of people using their health care system are foreigners.

No country will have an open door policy for whoever wants to come in to use the health care and leave without contributing nothing to the system.

If you think that things will not change then i need some of whatever you have being smoking.

Hi Logachev,

I suggest you call the consulate to clarify things. It also depends on the content of the email. The best advice i can give is to make a call to the consulate or respond to the email and ask them for clarification. Thanks
@Adjo10, at what week is best for the woman to go to Brazil?

Hello people. I would love to give birth in Canada to give my child a better opportunity at life and obtain dual citizenship. Is 5 million naira enough for the whole expenses which is what my fiancé wants to give me. .will it cover the whole expenses starting from visa application fee to hospital fee to accommodation and till I obtain the child passport and a flight back to Nigeria
I don't know if anyone will give you any specific figure. To better have a good projection, start reading from page 1 and be drafting the money/expenses you see. Those that got rejected and applied again and got visa: check their reasons, if it includes finance, and see what they did to get the visa. Your expenses will depend on so many things, your province of choice of birth, hospital, doctor, vaginal, CS, etc.

Good luck with your adventure!

The purpose of the application is Tourism i.e Vacation.

The family is made up of 6 members, Parents and 4 kids.

There is no way anyone will be left out
See, there are ways to go about it.

Irrespective of their travel history, Canada is tightening her visa issuance. @ the bolded, if thats the case, they should forget Canada now.

My advice: apply diplomacy to establish trusts that they would return to Nigeria in the following ways:

1. Let the husband apply alone. He should address the concerns raised in the letter by letting them know his family will remain in Nigeria and be his ties.

2. He should list places he wants to visit as a tourist to address the concern of purpose of visit. Abi, you are going to a country and not mentioning the activities you will engage in.

3. If he gets his visa, he should go alone. The wife can then apply alone when the husband is back and do the above.

4. If both parents got their visas and traveled and came back, they should then apply for their kids may be next year when they plan another family vacation. This is my advice.

You still will need to visit the banking hall to get that @ emboldened, right? So whats the point of not getting bank stamped statement?

Im not applying for visa. Just saying before we give people advice that MIGHT backfire on them, lets be double sure. . .

If you need bank statement for visa, go to your bank, get it printed, stamped and signed.(then scan and upload it, for online applications) Every visa officer is looking for reasons not to give you visa, dont create one for yourself.
You can download your statements online stamped and signed if you are using GTB.

Just wondering though. Numbers 1-4 estimate used to fly at the embassy during interviews for visa, and renewal, and for actual birthing too. Abi? What has happened? I don’t think anyone will be bold to run with those figures today. Not like we know exactly why we won’t, but we won’t! That’s some crazy position to find one’s self and function from.... God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Surprisingly, the mama that posted this actually used it for her renewal during this crisis and her second missionary as she paid same in first missionary. She got her visa and her mum got too. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Florianópolis, Campo Grande, Belo Horizonte, Palmas. Sao Paulo and Brasilia are also safe but avoid them if you want to live the country early. The bureaucracy is insanely slow because they are populated. Any private hospital in the first 4 cities mentioned should be good. Stay in the state capitals and not other cities because all paperwork are done in the state capitals. Thanks
Thanks for your suggestions.

Could you recommend a safer city and a private hospital for someone who only wants to have the baby and leave immediately?

Thanks to everyone for their contributions. It has indeed firm up my decision to start up. But does anyone think chances might be slim if I declare my intention to have the baby there or normal visit visa since tommy isn't so obvious for now.

Please enlighten me more. Thanks
better to declare your intention to avoid story that touches.

Hello everyone. I have a question for a friend of mine.

She is trying to renew her US visa. And her agent is asking if I she has paid the “international standard delivery charge”?

Please does such exist? She had two kids in the US.
Ask your friend how much she paid. Come back here with the answer.

Hello everyone.

I'm new on this thread. I'd like to ask if it's not to late to apply for Canadian Medical Tourist visa to have my baby. I'm already 6 months down. Is it not too late or employing the services of an agent be the easy way out. I'd be waiting for your candid opinions. Thank you
Not too late if you have all your documents handy. This thread is DIY. However, it's your choice of agent. Agent has no influence on your application decision.

Let me give back since I have benefited from this page. I applied for my Canada tourist visa first week in March (submitted in person) and got it approved in 6 days. After I received mine I applied for my mother and also took less than a week. I left Accra on Easter Friday. After reading all the comments here I got a doctors appointment and had 10k and enough money on my card to declare at POE. A week before I traveled 3 different people called and asked that I shouldn’t declare at POE unless asked but I had my money and doctors correspondence ready. This is because 2 people were given just 3 weeks entry stamp when they declared even with money and all documents. Another person was also sent back because it wasn’t stated in their visa application.
I traveled with my 19 months old son who has an American passport. We used Brussels airline.

Good Morning people,

Please I need your help.

I will like to apply for B1/B2 visa to travel in October and return 31st Jan 2020.

However my passport is expiring 19th Jan 2020. And I read that your passport must be valid through out your stay in the US.

Can I use the passport like that to apply for the visa or do I first renew it?
Also, will you advice that I pick Abuja or Lagos as my interview location?

I'm scared of the time the passport renewal will take given that I need to schedule my visa appointment asap.

Please kindly assist me, Thanks.
Your passport must be valid for atleast 6 months at the time of applying. You can apply for a new passport and having valid visa on your current one. before your travelling, your passport is less than 6 month so obviously you should get a new one before you travel.

However, what are you going for on B1/2 visa for that long period. If you are going for birthing, you should select B2 when applying.

Goodluck!

Hello everyone, Please I got admission to Georgia institute of technology, I am currently trying to start the processing for my I20 and the person I found to give me the bank statements I need is my Boss because of the personal relationship I have with him. In filling the form, I want to say he is my uncle. However, I am worried that a red flag would be that how come I and my uncle work in the same consulting firm.

What do you think I should do? Please help me

Thank you very much and I will wait for your response.
Be ready to explain why your 'uncle' is sponsoring you. There's no crime in working with your 'uncle'

Hello house,
A quick one pls. There are some documents I want to attach as supporting docs, but I've already sent in my application. Is it still possible to send it. If yes, how do I go about it?
Pls I need answers urgently as I've been told to come for biometrics.
Again, where in Lagos can I go for the biometrics?
Tnks, I'll be waiting
It's clearly written where you uploaded your documents that once submitted, you can't upload anything again except things they requested from you.

Tbh I was very very scared the day I attended my interview, Everyone came out with a pink paper I was saying to myself eh God what will happen to me but it didn’t seem like the vendetta was on those who went to birth, it was both young old and middle aged, I was on the queue for some time and saw just four people walking out with the white paper cry (yes I was counting) even for those who came out with a file I was peeping to see grin . But I won’t lie the crowd in the embassy compared to a few years ago has tripled
What state did you birth if you dont mind?
